[Q] Note not working, even can't flash it.. - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
Day before yesterday my Samsung GT-N7000 got suddenly formatted while charging. I don't know how it had happened.
Then from that day it was showing the error message. "Gapps process is not working properly". I have spoken with Samsung online support and as per his instructions had a factory reset. But while doing that it has not reset properly & only the Samsung logo is appearing then again screen get black & again the logo appears.
I have then tried to use Volume -, Home & power button to go into the recovery mode but everytime I do that it is going into odin mode.
when I press volume+, home, power button, android logo keeps on appearing then again Samsung logo comes & then black screen.
I want to fix this problem.. please please .... help...

[Q] Can't boot

Hi guys,
i've got a problem here. I'm running Darky's 9.2 and it has suddenly stopped working. Pulled the phone of my pocket and it looked like it was booting, but it just kept booting. When i connect it to power it just displays the battery and the spinner for a few seconds and then the screen goes black again and the process repeats over and over. Just tried to connect it to Odin to go back to stock. I can go into download mode, but only for a few seconds. It won't stay in download mode. Any help?
try do a full reset in recovery.. then leave the battery out for 5-10 mins. then try download mode again
I can't get into recovery.
Volume up + home + power doesn't work.
I've left the battery out for over an hour. Still nothing...
same thing happend to me when i was on darkys 8.1 these thing happen when your using custom roms can you get in to download mode so you can reflash to stock rom
Only for a few seconds. After that it does the battery thing again.
Looks like you need the jig or to take it to a service centre but they may well charge as its out of warranty .
jje
The jig? Afraid so yeah

In the past I would get into recovery that way but now on custom rom I need to release the power button when the galaxy s logo appears. Maybe give that a try.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
I did, doesn't work.
It also never really shuts down. It just keeps booting.
If i remove the battery and plug it back in after a while it automatically starts the loop again.

[Q] Phone not booting

Hi,
I just flashed Darky's rom 10.2 and now when I boot my phone I can see the GALAXY logo and the "powered by DarkCore.." but it stays like this for several seconds and then just become black and then the logo reappear all over...
the phone it self wont boot.
I cant enter recovery or download mode either.. if I keep pressing (the volume buttons) a battery (?!) icon is shown, if i release - The logo come back.
WHAT CAN I DO?
Don`t panic. This sounds like a pretty simple boot loop.
To get into download mode, plug your phone into the wall charger and use the three button combo. Flash back to stock and start all over.
remove the battery for few second. put it back and use three button combination to enter into download mode and try to flash RE. Make sure repartition is ticked. Check my signature for the guide...
But...
I had my lag fix turn on..
now i cant get to the settingh (cause the phone wont boot...)
It wont damage my phone to flash?
And by flash you mean with Odin and all the the basic GB?
Shouldnt i get to recovery mode and just flash the Darky 10.2 all over (with wipe and all..)
???

[Q] bricked tab after odin "success" message

i've tried to flash my tab using odin and overcome stock safe (first step on their guide). everything went ok in odin, got a green success message. but now, my tab won't turn on or do anything at all. the only response I get is after pressing the turn-on button and then the screen sort of lights up but nothing else.
Have you tried reentering download mode and flash again?
Maybe first time you did something wrong and now have to reflash a stock rom. See "How to unbrick" threads for details
hey
I can't get it into download mode at all. just the backlit screen thing

Try getting into recovery, DO wipe/factory reset, clear cache, reboot... (search how to do it, can tell you, but better U search and find out)
can't do that either. I tried power button + vol up / down combo, but all i get is a backlit screen that turns off the second i release the power button
edit: not sure if its a regular brick, but what happens is this: I press the power button for about 3 seconds, the back light goes on but that's it. if i leave the button the light goes off
Does your PC recognize the Tab in that condition, if yes, connect thru Odin and flash again or try flashing overcome kernel atleast..
nope i've tried to connect it using USB but got no connection
Is your Tab fully charged ?? Try to charge it for a couple of hours and if it turns on, enter the download mode and try again. But please make sure to charge the tab.....just in case.
Good luck
yes, it was fully charged. anyway, i was able to open it up, unplug and replug the battery, but now it does nothing. doesn't light up, doesn't respond to charging or connecting to PC

[Q] Help! Bootloop, no recovery mode, no odin, stock everything on 4.0.4

Is there any hope for me?
Running stock 4.0.4 on my unrooted GT N7000. Phone was plugged in and charging (nearly full 89%) when I tried to use swipepad to launch my goole reader app. Everything froze while still in swipepad and was unresponsive for about five minutes while I waiting for a crash report. Crash report never came so I tried the power button. No response, still showing the frozen swipepad screen. Took the battery out and put it back in again, hit the power button and it shows the galaxy note launch screen (Galaxy Note GT N7000 in white on the black screen). It stays there with no change (this is a bootloop, right?).
I've tried going into recovery mode (vol down, home and power) and nothing happens, it just goes into the bootloop. Tried to get into odin mode (vol up, home and power) and I can get to the warning screen where you can select either boot as normal, or download mode. Boot as normal leads to bootloop, download mode gets immediately frozen.
I've also tried the "take battery out, hold volume, home and power while replacing battery" process with no luck
What happened? What did I do? What do I do?
I'm dying here.
As far as I can tell, all solutions I've seen have involved access to recovery mode....

You are not in a bootloop (which is when the bootanimation repeats over and over) you are stuck in the splash screen. Anyway, that is not important. As you are running the stock ICS firmware which has the brick bug, I would suggest you flash the rom again in ODIN PC. Find your firmware and follow the tutorial in here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329360
DO NOT TRY TO WIPE ANYTHING IN STOCK RECOVERY.

Thanks for clearing that up (re the bootloop vs stuck in the splash screen), but looking through the tutorials, even with Odin installed on the PC, I'll need to get access to the recovery mode.
I can't boot into recovery mode. What then? Is there any way to flash a rom without recovery mode access?
From what I know you need recovery or download mode to flash a ROM you may want to order a USB jig and see if you can get it to down load mode that way other then that you may be bricked

My USB port is tempermental. OTG has been out of commission for a while.
So basically, through no fault of my own and without any recourse my phone is dead.
That's just great.
So, is this Google's fault, or Samsung's?
If you have not modified the phone be it kernel, rooted it, or custom ROMs then it would be a Samsung issue in my opinion anyways

Hmph.
Well thanks again.
I guess a terminal diagnosis is still a diagnosis.
Gutted.

[Q] Galaxy Mini II (GT-S6500D) Bootloop (Can't access recovery, download mode)

Hello guys, i have a problem with my bro's gt-s6500d..
the problem is the device is keeps rebooting (first turned on shows samsung logo, then endless vibrate only) and i cant go to recoverymode with buttons or adb and download mode (i can do it actually but only few seconds it restarts again). googling isn't helpful.
the device wont turned off, when i pulled the battery and put it on, it will turned on itself (like BlackBerry)
the device is not even modded or rooted. everything's still stock.
haven't try USB JIG or JTAG. Maybe both of those will be my last option (since they're cost some money)
so can you guys help me out? thanks before :fingers-crossed:

Download STOCK ROM from official Samsung website, enter Download Mode and install it by Odin - try to do it in these few seconds when Download Mode is turned on.
