I hate to be the bad news but all those old FXP builds have a high battery drain while on WiFi due to certain wakelocks (mmc1_detect and suspend_backoff), and AFAIK, they have not been fixed.
On the other hand, if you really want a custom ROM, if I were you I'd go for Omnirom or Carbon. Sure they are ROMs based on other developers' work, but I'd stick with ROMs built by developers actually active here on XDA instead of using "official" ROMs, which generally don't get device specific fixes. While ROMs here get bug fixes, "official" builds remain having the same bugs.
I haven't tried the latest FXP builds, but considering the fact that AFAIK, none of those developers actually own a TX, it's hard for them to fix bugs. Besides, why use CM when you can use Omni or Carbon which are packed with WAY more features.
Regarding the fixes, as an example:
updateing said:
Prima module in Sony stock kernel source doesn't even compile...even if we fix the errors, the module won't load. tital6991 used Prima WLAN driver revision 3.2.7.47 in his source, and I replaced my drivers/staging/prima folder with his. Now WiFi works and the battery drain seems nothing wrong. Here's the screenshot:

@tilal6991 and @updateing have fixed this bug faster than the "official" developers.

That's wierd I haven't had any battery life problem, infact I actually think the battery got better with the custom rom :')

Once again.... no, you cannot install custom ROMs on locked bootloaders. If your bootloader is locked, your phone will not boot up with a custom kernel due to unmatching signatures. @amr1406: This applies to any custom ROM; if it's not Stock Based, it will not work. You will be able to flash it, and then get a black screen on boot.
@Virus2o50: It's irresponsible to give instructions that are known will cause problems to users, whether out of malice or because you don't know what you're talking about; especially without providing first a disclaimer.

Stop quoting the entire OP!! It's also rude to request something twice when you don't get an immediate answer. Also, a link was already posted above where ALL the builds can be found, which, if you had opened, would have found that there is also a mirror; instead of waiting for someone to tell you, just get it yourself from the link above.

All I'm saying is that it's unnecessary to quote the entire op, which is quite long. Also, you're looking at the wrong link. Another link was posted where you can find all the FXP ROMs. Just select the phone you have from their list of supported phones and download the version you want, whether it's CM10.1 or CM11.

PER-APP-COLOR,
Paranoidandroids newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel (same that allows you to scale apps individually and choose their interface). See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

Beats Audio enhancments thanks Awesome
remove some unnecessary files
remove stock live wallpaper

Jrongi1, I figured I'll test this rom out and get bored soon but no way, I can't stop playing with it! Top 1 or 2 in my book and it's initial release, nicely done. I running it with Sema 212v...Can we say Bacon!!! Superuser wasn't sticking maybe cuz I wiped the system partition prior but I got it up by flashing su 3.2 zip. Just in case someone runs into the same issue http://downloads.noshufou.netdna-cdn.com/superuser/Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed.zip

Ok, long time no flash for me here (it's been like 6 mths):
I'd like to flash this ROM from an ICS ROM (ICS Passion 13.1) but I have a few questions:
1. Can I go ahead and flash this right from an ICS ROM or do I have to ODIN back to stock?
2. I made it to ICS but I've still got the Froyo bootloader, do I need to upgrade it to a GB bootloader?
3. Any special instructions I should adhere to that's not in the OP (other than backup, don't restore system apps, fix permissions)?
TIA.

All the standard flashing tips are good. You will most likely have a problem coming from passion, but that's just passion. Bootloaders are your choice.

Just for better measures, flash the GB bootloader, then go ahead and flash this. If that doesn't work, flash Hellybean first (must have GB bootloader for this) and then flash this. That's the way I did it.

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][5.0.2][CM-12.0] CyanogenMod 12 for jfltespr (2015-01-26 / FINAL)

The Sprint Galaxy S4 is now receiving official CM 12 builds. This thread is here for reference purposes only. No new unofficial builds will be made.
It seems that the CyanogenMod folks are kicking along pretty well getting Lollipop ready. I was finally able to get a bootable version of CyanogenMod 12 for our phone, the jfltespr. The jflte devices are being de-unified again.
I am building a rather "plain" version, which consists of all merged GitHub items, along with cherry picks that are required to build the ROM.

Disclaimer
This ROM is under development, and the file(s) I provide are a snapshot at a particular point in time. There are no guarantees that they will work. On the other hand, it's quite possible that the file(s) here may make your phone explode, make your boy/girlfriend leave for another country, cause you immense financial loss or other horrible things. I'm not responsible for any of it. I'm just giving you a file.
Installation Instructions
Do a nandroid! What happens when the ROM doesn't work??
Use TWRP! CWM has been mentioned to work as well, but I do not personally support it.
Factory Reset! (Wipe Cache/Dalvik/Data)
Install my ROM ZIP file!
Install gapps (PA has Lollipop gapps in ALPHA) (Slim has Lollipop gapps here)
Install SuperSU!
Current Build Info
CM GitHub as of 01/26/15 @ 11:05 AM EST
Cherry Pick: (#79041) - add ANT+ Wireless support
Kernel Source
This ROM is built from CyanogenMod sources. You may retrieve the kernel source here!
What Works / Doesn't
Working: Mobile Data
Working: WiFi - Some users have experienced issues having BT and WiFi on at the same time. One reported fix is to change WiFi to use the 5Ghz channel.
Working: GPS - Some SPH-L720T users have experienced non-functional GPS. I suggest flashing back to TouchWiz and acquiring a GPS lock with GPS Status & Toolbox. Once that happens, go right back to recovery and reflash CM12.
Working: Camera - You may have to exit and go back in before it starts working properly. Also, occasionally the camera will appear to take photos but freeze the preview window and not actually take the photo. Google Camera and other third party apps don't seem to have this problem.
Working: NFC
Somewhat Working: Bluetooth - Some users have experienced slow A2DP playback or issues connecting to devices.
Not Working: Any other potential CM bugs. After all, this is an early release and can be potentially quite buggy.
Not Tested: Anything not mentioned above.
Found Bugs
When plugged in for charging, if you power off the phone, it will reboot after a short period of time. The touchscreen will not be functional. If you hold down the power button to reboot, the phone will be fine.
When using the stock messaging app, SMS messages will show as failed -- but they do go through. I tested to another mobile user and a Google Voice number. MMS doesn't seem to show an error.
Excessive battery drain due to NfcNci.apk in /system/app (reported for the Int'l CM 12 build). You can delete the APK if you experience high battery use from "Miscellaneous". [Hopefully this is fixed in the 11/24 build. Please respond if you notice any improvement]
Location icon stays in the status bar. This happens even if location is turned off.
Home button does not wake device.
I will post new versions of the ROM when I get a chance. New versions will be compiled daily and put into my MEGA folder.

Awesome! It seems to be working out good for me so far. No crashes or anything. Been using it for the last few hours pretty constantly. I'll get some screenshots up in a bit.

You mention using TWRP... I'm using ClockWorkMod... Is that bad?
This is awesome. I wasn't expecting a build for this for another couple weeks. Keep up the good work!
I haven't followed or used CWM or PhilZ recoveries in quite a while -- I can't confirm that CWM will or won't work. I posted what worked for me, and it's more of a "recommended" method since I know it worked. You can certainly try CWM. If it works, I'll throw CWM in the OP with TWRP!

Amazing! Booted right up! Good work!
Sent from my SPH-L720 using XDA Free mobile app
If you or anyone else gets it installed, feel free to let me know what works and doesn't, so I can track it in the OP and see if there may be some fixes I can do and submit. Some of the bugs are going to be fixed by the CM folks, but they're busy working on getting the Nexus devices flawless, methinks.

I'll try it... Do I risk bricking if I use CWM instead of TWRP? Or just risk it not installing?
Well, I've never seen an actual "brick" by using the wrong recovery -- with the exception of the bad NAND in the old S2. If CWM doesn't work properly, you may have an incomplete/empty /system partition or other potential filesystem problems, which will not let your phone boot. If that's the case, you should be able to restore your nandroid with no issues. Flashing is always a risk unfortunately!

I need my phone for work I can't risk bricking... Anyone else wanna try CWM? lol
Agreed -- if you need your phone for work, I wouldn't recommend flashing experimental builds like this one. I'd feel bad if you install it and miss out on something at work. Maybe someone will cue in with any CWM experiences.

I just installed with Philz and everything seems to work okay. The only bugs I have seen so far is I had to toggle airplane mode to get LTE to kick in and I am unable to download an attachment from Gmail. I live on the edge Sprint service so I will see how roaming works this evening.

I wouldn't think twice about doing it but that is your call. If you are worried, why don't you just switch to TWRP? It is really easy to do.

Yeah it probably is. Do I just flash TWRP with Odin? Got a TWRP download link?
Also, if I make a backup in CWM, can I restore it in TWRP?

I DO NOT OWN THIS DEVICE!! I OWN THE QUINCYATT!! I AM JUST SHARING THIS BUILD BECAUSE I WAS FEELING GENEROUS!! PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR NEW BUILDS!! I will update this rom "IF" I feel like it & "IF" I have the time. I am not trying to be rude here but many other devices I have that I own & support. Please be kind and appreciate this rom thread if you enjoy it. One last thing, let me know if it boots or not? This is just to give this device owner something new to flash. I believe you can somehow flash the quincyatt builds to this device, OR SO I'VE READ, I just don't know how to tell you to go about doing so.
Special thanks to CyanogenMod, SlimRoms, for making their source open. @NoSpamDan for helping with this device, hercules, & skyrocket. Be sure N thank him for getting Data working. Also I believe that @SultanXDA helped him with that a bit.

I can't believe that development is still so strong for this phone!!!! A very pleasant surprise. Thank you so much @ gimmeitorilltell
With this t-mo build do you know if the wifi calling app is included? I have flashed a t-mo build to this Att phone a couple years ago and it worked very well with the wifi calling working. I may just have to give it a try and see for myself!

If you have the AT&T version then I have a few 5.0 roms over in the right section of development. Also have cm-12.0 in the original development section of AT&T devices. I am not sure about the wifi calling for T-mobile but I believe that all of my builds have wifi calling.

Yes, I have an att version- i717. I successfully flashed a tmobile rom with correct baseband changes when this phone was 6 months old-got it on launch day- and the official t-mobile wifi calling app was working.
I don't know of any other carrier that supports official wifi calling with your carrier number other than t-mo. Att is working on it, but it's still not out. Sometime in 2015 att will launch that official call over wifi with your att number. It comes in very handy when you are in a dead zone. Just turn on wifi calling and your phones works the same as over the 3g and lte connections, but on any wifi network with your native number.
I know voip over wifi works with 3rd party apps. Is that the kind of wifi calling you're referring to??
Either way, I will definitely check out your other 5.0 roms for the att Note. In the ATT side of development. My Note has been on the shelf for the past year or so!!!
Hi. I need help. I followed all the steps above but I can´t flash the rom. It always gets stuck at the goggle logo. I used CWM, because if I try WTRP I get a message error like " E:unknown volume for path. Any ideas? :crying:

You NEED to wipe everything except the sdcard & internal sd. Try that to see what you get?
No luck. Did all the wipes and nothing. I'm considering do a dirty install.
I get this message: error executing updater binary in zip "/sdcard1/candy5

I used CWM 6.0.4.3 and your version of TWRP 2.8.3.0 whit no success. Until I find a solution, I´m using the Beanstalk ROM. But I wonder if there is conflict with the kernel.

wgiddyup and nourmax64: I backed up my phone before flash the ROM. I wanna think you did so. If not, the only way to get your phone back is reflash the stock ROM with Odin. And then, if you want update your OS to KitKat, use the Beanstalk ROM, until we find a way to install this ROM.

Sorry about the TWRP mishap. My OP is a C&P from my quincyatt thread which has the twrp for that device. This device would need someone to update recovery for it.
Hello.
Any news on how to install this rom without any problems. I tried and got stuck on flying dots.
I would like to try this rom.
Thanks.

Unfortunately work has me very tied up lately and I have not updated this rom. Maybe you and some others can see about flashing my quincyatt roms to this device? It has been done in the past & I really have no time to look into this currently. You may be able to kindly ask @pollution for some assistance or insight on what needs to be done. I believe he was the Dev that made this possible in the past?

Weird,,, other people don't seem to have this problem,, have u got dual sim xperia xz?
Hi Frago, after all this mess i managed to get your XplayZtation Rom to work and it works well, aurora rom wont get pass trough initial setup as pretty much all apps are crashing and I can't get pass through android first setup process. I have no idea why at first i couldt either; not get supersu working after unlock bootloader and installing twrp recovery, also couldnt wipe data without errors as i wrote you couple hours before. Actually this afternoon i got in a bootloop after 2nd try flashing Aurora rom, managed to enter twrp recovery turned off device, after turning it on again all data were wiped and i could perform a full wipe, then flashing your rom worked perfectly fine. Can i flash androplus kernel or is your kernel more efficient?

- was my problem caused by the fact i tri d to flash the roms from internal memory? I'm experienced with nexus 6p and op2 but have no experience with micro sd extention devices. Could give me your feedback about that?
-Also, how would you suggest to go back to Sony Stock rom if needed?

Hi Frago, really thankful for your answers
1. I'll try to go back to stock using Sony flash tool when they will confirm my account on Emma.
2. I'll flash andro kernel but can i flash it now that your rom has been installed already?
3. I'll send you feedback about your Rom, I'm so excited I don't have to stick with sony bloatware...
4. By reading there could be problems with sd stored apps and stuff on marshmallow i thought maybe sd card mounted flashing could be an issue...
Take care
