Extreme method :
After performing all the above if you haven't still got IMEI. Now switch off your phone and open SP Tools and connect your phone. Now click on format and format your whole phone. ( This wipes whole of the phone including NVram region ).
Now flash stock ROM through SP Tools and after it completes start up your phone. ( Don't be surprised. Your IMEI will still be in lost state only ). Now root your phone.
After successful rooting now connect your phone to MTK Droid tools and again press ROOT button and grant root access to MTK Droid tools. Now click on IMEI/NVram tab.

Now as you see in the image above you can see two boxes IMEI1 and IMEI 2. Now enter your device IMEI numbers manually in those two boxes.( You can get your IMEI no's from your phone box ). Now click replace IMEI. Now reboot your phone and you should be definitely able to get your IMEI restored.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1158783&highlight=bootloaders
Try to flash the modem according to your Rom Specification.
Or Why don't you try to flash a Factory Rom!
May Be that Will FIX THE ISSUE!
Hope it helps...
Flash JVU without re partition.
Thanks "thatdefault"... It worked for me. i still had the JVU for my region, flashed without the repartition option and all came back.

EFS help

Hello,
if anybody is able to share his EFS, please share it. I've tried modifying many "nv_data.bin" sample files but I couldn't get the IMEI to show something in any case. CVXCVX tried to repair my phone with his tools but still, no success.
I desperately need to fix my N7000 so please try to help somehow. For more info, please read the thread from my signature.

this can only be repaired with a special JTAG,same that can fix soft bricks.this jtag can rewrite the imei.dont try other methods, this is the only one working.start looking for a service with this tool.here in romania costs about 10 euros....

Thread owner should have mentioned that he bought a new eMMC chip and had it soldered on the MB (he hints at his project where this was discussed).
So all the normal possible solutions didn't work.
So maybe something went wrong when soldering.
Or if using a new eMMC chip on a Samsung board this needs some special "initialization" of the chip.
Or each chip has an hard coded IMEI inside, so that using backups or the polish repair with the old IMEI won't work.
(Added an answer here because I think the thread soon will moved to Q&A)

just find an early rom which has efs. img and flash through odin. It will give you what you need, except for original emei. That you can get Samsung or Polish way
edit, finding that rom will be difficult, but its out there
edit here it is
http://www.sammobile.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3136
It will change your csc, but you can change that by flashing the csc file of your rom of choice, then the *#272*youremei# dial. Note do this on safe kernel only

yeah flash efs file after flashing the rom separately. Set clear efs to yes.

[Q] Can't use mobile data - IP addr not reachable android

Hello, guys.
After I flash the OmniROM (build of 03/12) my device can't connect to internet using mobile data.
I think it's not an EFS problem because the device's IMEI is OK, I can make/receive calls and send/receive SMS. I restored a backup of EFS but the problem persists.
Already flash stock (Jelly Bean and Gingerbread), tried different firmwares and custom ROMs but nothing fixed the problem.
This is a screenshot taken while in Gingerbread, It says "IP addr not reachable android" and "Fail: Host unreachable" after run the ping test.

I think you should use Odin and flash all 4 files of the fully stock firmware. You could try to just flash the modem using Odin to restore it. Might as well do all 4. Do you know how to do that?
Sent from my shamu using XDA Labs
when it dont works with odin flash take it again apart and clean the mainboard with 100% alcohol and then wait 1 day and mount again all back. when that dont works then can be that your modem chip is burned and needs a new mainboard

All 4 or 5 files of a completely stock firmware are as follows:
AP
Bootloader
CSC
CP
And sometimes a PIT File to repartition the device.
Each one has its own slot in Odin. If you open Odin you will see all 4 buttons and boxes on the right side of the screen.
It would look like this after you extract the full firmware.

Stuck at Samsung Boot image. PLZZZ help. Will "DONATE" to whom ever that can help
Hi guys,
Please help me fix my Note 5!!!
Quick background story:
Bought it on ebay "As Is". Guy said it got stuck while using Samsungs smart switch software. Phone still has intact Knox ("0") so warranty is intact.
But I dont want to take the warranty exchange route yet. It is on 6.0.1 PD2 or PH2 (i forget, I am at work at the momemnt) because thats what smart switch says
that it is going to restore.
Things I have done: (Used multiple cables, using Win10)
- Tried Emergency restore via Smart Switch. -- No success. It says something like cant restore.
- Used Odin 3.7 & 3.12.6 to flash stock PD2 or PH2 firmware. Odin flashes the rom now (it wasnt earlier) and when the phone reboots it stays at "Samsung Logo" and
doesnt move on.
- Cant get to recovery. It just does nothing when holding the buttons.
- I can only get to Download screen.
So, I dont know what to do now. I was able to get my previous note 5 working by using odin but this one is just stuck.
I would really appreciate all the help.
Thanks.

Hi,
So I tried going to the link and unfortunately it did not work . The software to repack the (boot.img, recovery.img, system.img) does not work for some reason. Tried using 7zip, but I cant find a way to combine the 3 img files into .tar files. What am I missing here?
Spent another 3 hours after work today fiddling with this . The wife is def not happy.
Any other suggestions?
Plzzz help a guy out.
You can try to install TWRP recovery by odin. Boot into download mode then connect your phone to the computer. Once done you will need to download some files which will install the recovery by odin. Next hold the volume up, power, and home button until twrp recovery comes up then connect the storage to your pc and install a custom rom and hopefully this might fix it. This will void warranty so do this at your own risk.
