[ROM]★★[TF701T][Asus Stock Rooted][KK 4.4.2 DEODEX/ODEX 11.4.1.17 v2][Aug 02]★★
Asus Stock Modded Odex/Deodexed ROM v2 - 11.4.1.17 KK 4.4.2
You can flash this straight over Asus Jelly Bean 4.3 stock, CROMi-X 6.x or Asus Kitkat Stock 4.4.2 without a wipe if you want to test it – but it is a very good idea do a full wipe to eliminate issues. CM11 users you MUST do a full wipe of data before installing. This ROM is aimed at users who want a Stock Rooted experience with minimal tweaks
You must be unlocked and have CWM 6.0.5.0 or above installed to flash the Stock Rom from the internal sdcard. You must also be on the 11.4.1.17 KK 4.4.2 Bootloader.
Please Unlock using the Asus Unlock Tool first found here.
Note installing and running this app will wipe your device and void your warranty.
You can flash CWM 6.0.5.0 using the instructions here.
If you need to move to the latest bootloader then manually install the bootloader package below from CWM.
Finally copy the ROM to a folder on your internal SD and flash it from Recovery, and reboot
Don't forget to do a Nandroid Backup first and give the ROM 5 mins to stabilise!
Not too sure about some of the UI colours lol. Here are some more screen shots and I have root

HOW TO INSTALL
If you need to upgrade your bootloader then flash the bootloader and CWM package which will get you on the 11.4.1.17 bootloader and CWM 6.0.5.0 (obviously you need a version of CWM to flash this).
Reboot once and then flash the ROM below. I have made a few changes to it You can flash it over the top of 4.3 (stock), 4.4.3 (stock) or CROMi-X 6.1 without a wipe. If you are coming from CM11 you will need a full wipe first.
ChangeLog from sbdags:
• Rom is Deodexed by me and I removed the call home apps (CMClient and DMClient)
• Rooted with Latest SuperSU binary, apk and daemon to give root access
• Added Browser sync for Stock Browser to sync Chrome Bookmarks (Asus forgot it)
• Fixed the SD Card write permissions for all apps
• Busybox installed
• init.d shell script support in kernel and rom
• Unsecure stock kernel
• Updated 31 Asus and Google Apps to the latest versions
• Added ES File Explorer, Terminal App, and Titanium Backup to /system/app for easy restoring
There are no other mods – please don’t ask for theming, changes or performance boosts. Those will come with CROMi-X

Thanks man, running 4.4.2 now!!!

I understand changes between US Rom and WW Rom. That is languages packs (locales), perhaps wireless standart, etc. But what difference between US and WW bootloader?

Just a few characters in the string on the bootloader as far as I can tell But it's always good to keep your original SKU

No problems at all dirty flashing over CROMi-X 6.1 (after flashing the BL/CWM package naturally).

The way I did this one you should be able to flash the BL, CWM and ROM package all in one session - forgot to test it though Anyone want to guinea pig it?

Does anyone can (if sbdags don't mind) make another mirror or torrent? I can't download the ROM.

I just did it all in one go.
I did the BL, CWM in my existing CWM, then the ROM with no reboots or anything in between. The new ROM booted without an issue and I am exploring it now.
I don't want to try and reboot to recovery yet to find out what happened I want to use my tablet a little before the world explodes
Thanks again.

Installed just fine. I cannot, however, find any option for enabling ART. Am i missing something?

Used this ROM since last night and noticed that Asus has adopted the "feature" from Android 4.4, now my Titanium Backup can only read the backup files stored on the external MicroSD card and cannot write to it. It can only write to the internal memory.
Anyway, the app SDFix fixed that, but I hope Sbdags can give us back this "non-feature" in his ROM.

ART is not officially supported in 4.4 so that is why, I'm guessing, Asus doesn't include it. You'll have to wait for Android 4.5 / L for google to officially release it.

Ah. Too bad. Excellent piece of work from you again. [emoji106]

Right I have fixed the problem with apps not being allowed to use the sdcard. That was easy Also porting some of the more useful 4.3 apps like Asus Backup works fine on 4.4. I wonder why they dropped it......
All will be avail in cromi-x as well as some better theming. As much as I like sky blue I'm not sure I can take some of the eye strain for much longer.

I tried this Update again today. And I'm not liking it. I don't like the fact that I lost the ability to customize my status and nav bars through GravityBox. Don't like the new email app. Or the "unified" notifications settings, I liked that we could check the option to separate it in previous versions. The colouring I could probably get used to over time. Using Nova I was able to scale back the size of the interface. Good grief the default was huge.
I have 4.4 running on my Nook Tablet, so there are some improvements I'm looking forward to seeing. Just not liking some of the ASUS "modifications".
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with when you cromify this update. :fingers-crossed:

Up and running on this! Great work as always. Sure is nice having root back!
From what I can tell, it's a good, stable system Asus provided us... minus the eyestrain. Happy to hear you feel the same way -- so we'll look forward to Cromi-X.
I do hope you enjoy building these ROMs as much as we enjoy running them! Best regards to you and yours, sbdags...

The OP posted link to the ASUS unlock tool is dead. I can't find it on the ASUS site. Does anyone have a live link for the unlock?
edit: I found it listed in the downloads here: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=ASUS+Transformer+Pad+(TF701T)&p=28&s=1
but it says it will only work with Jellybean. I need to root so I can be able to write to external storage again. I have unrooted stock tablet with the new kitkat update. How can I get root?

Recognized MIUI 7 Port for Nexus 4
INTRODUCTIONHi everybody! Since MIUI ROM is growing more and more every day and it is also winning a lot of followers in this forum, luiseteyo an I, have decided to start a new thread with the official miui.com ROM by Lushengduan. All the credit goes for him, not for us, we are just “the updaters” of this thread, so all the people who like pure MIUI official rom can keep an eye on it without leaving xda-developers. Nothing more to add, enjoy MIUI.
Please, do not post any question without reading the WHOLE second post. Thanks.Yes, that's ugly, but maybe people will do it...

Are you going to modify the ROM?
No, I will update the thread regularly, with all the fixes, al the ideas, news, kernels, and other things that will let the user be in touch with miui.com ROM from xda. We aren't going to modify the ROM, but we will do our best to make it perfect. 1. Download the ROM
2. Flash a recovery if you don’t have one installed.
3. Make a full wipe from recovery (Cache, Dalvik cache, Data, System) if you come from another ROM or a soft wipe (Cache, Dalvik cache) if you come from an older MIUI version
4. Flash the ROM
5. Flash addons like gapps, modinstaller, other MODS, etc…

What you will need to do is, try re flashing the ota in TWRP(if you use TWRP) and when it fails, you will see a House(Home) a square in the middle, and an arrow(back) at the bottom. Select the square and it will say which patch file failed. You will ned to down the file and replace the current one you have and set perrmissions to 644 and then the OTA will work.
Where is multi language pack ?

Anyway, check second post, where I will be uploading d-h.st mirrors, which are super fast in europe (I am from spain)
So what's the difference?
There is the MUIUAndroid rom, MIUI rom and one from Datsun that I'm aware of.

Thanks.

Wow! I'm so happy to have a rom to flash. Thank you! I'll give it a go tomorrow.

Yes I specialise in Asus Stock but I may consider CM 11, but typically I can tweak the stock rom to be pretty quick and optimised and Asus should bring us 4.4 at some point WHat you have to remember about CM based roms is they are very generic. Yes they offer lots of tweaks but you also get lots of bugs. When you start with an Asus rom you get stuff built for the hardware and a lot of issues are already sorted. It's a much more solid base than CM.

There is some bug on asus rom like the dock battery issue (i don't think that it's hardware because usb connection and keyboard is working) and it will help you to control totally the device if you create 2 rom for this device (and have less bug on cm11^^).
but even if you don't create cm11, thanks a lot for your work, it's good to see dev on this device and sorry for my very bad english

I don't have a dock battery bug... Well I haven't noticed one anyway. CM is from a totally different source. It will have many more bugs than an Asus based rom - trust me THe Asus kernel is generally very solid and built for their hardware. The CM one is not. The framework is also not designed to be run on Asus but is more generic so you have to make many more edits and changes to get it working. As far as I'm aware CM is in constant beta stage, you get a release candidate but only once google release the next android version. I'm not a big fan of CM to be honest but would never rule it out
So you'll be getting CROMi-X based off Asus source first.

I know that your rom for the asus tf700 is great but it's limited to 4.2.1 unfortunally(it's asus fault) but i will test CROMI-X ROM on asus tf701t. Your dock battery have never stop to charge your tab? you can see that with the widget.
In CROMI-X can you change the notification bar and nav bar color to transparent(like kitkat)? this is not the forum for i know

There is a thread in the TF700 forum for the dock battery problem where the fixes are posted. But yes if you install the xposed framework you can pretty much do all the tweaks CM offers.

That's something you'll have to send the device back to Asus for though. It's a hardware fault with the hinge that breaks the connector. I can't fix that with software.

This works if you have unlocked bootloader
Who care about warranty? don't be a ***** and Unlock the Bootloader on Your RAZR i thread by mattlgroff . ( for locked BL, flash stock brasil (in a LATAM phone of course), in RSD-Lite and then apply the OTA KK update).
First i recommend you read the “All Things” Razr I Index thread by Hazou
This TWRP backup come from a clean stock rom 982.50.29.XT890.Brasil.en.BR flashed in RSD-Lite, and updated to Kit-Kat using forced OTA update 990.46.70.XT890.en.BR then Debloated using [SCRIPT] Debloater for KitKat, JB & ICS by waj3k
for last installed SuperSu. You will get not crappy apps from motorola, Install your favorite apps in a lot of space.
Install steps:
Unlock your bootloader (if locked)
Install TWRP, this is a TWRP 2.8.0.1 backup, using [RECOVERY] Unofficial TWRP 2.8.0.1 thread by Hazou ( Tip : you can just Flashify TWRP2.8.0.1.img )
Make a Backup of your current ROM in the microSD you will need the phone's serial number later!
Download the backup and decompress it, in temp folder ( you will need get the B1 Free Archiver, get it at http://b1.org/ )
you MUST rename the /TWRP/BACKUPS/TA3240B01X/ folder to your phone's serial number ! you can get this in you first backup or in Fastboot as "Barcode" or in ADB as device
now copy /TWRP/BACKUPS/YourSerialNo/2014-11-13--21-54-05 KIA20.70/ to you microSD
Restore it using TWRP ( Tip : in TWRP Settings i use "Use rm-rf instead of formatting" because format took an eternity )
Restart and enjoy a clean stock Kit-Kat rom in your RAZR i
You will get a Kit-Kat FINAL Debloated Stock ROM for Motorola RAZR i XT890 Rooted :
Special thanks:
Thankx for the knowledge to Hazou , waj3k , for Root to mattlgroff

HEY DUDE, i follow step by step and didnt work for me, in twrp, it say that the restore "failed"....i put the folder twrp/backups/myserial#/------etc...
first...i need update to kitkat with rsd lite and do the restore with twrp???
+
im in jellybean
EDIT: i havents install the ultimate version of twrp thats why it dont worked...jajajajaja i have installed...let see what comes with this new update , thanks @ManoBros
Realized the downalod file but it has an extension " .b1 " . I wonder how can I use this type of file, if anyone can help I will be grateful.
Why he uses the b1 format, I don't know. The b1 format is almost never used. Should have used the zip format or rar. anyone can decompres that. But there is a b1 extractor. Just search the web
its a nice job but...when i installed...the backup give me a lot files useless and the internal memory, show me anothers folders, like if my phone was another phone (backup)...and my olders files, cant be seen it, when i connect my phone to my pc...in the end, i flash the JB rom of brazil with rsd lite and update, via recovery, to KK and i dont haved issues, except the low sound when i listen music in the google music...
I got some real weird problems. I mean teh rom works but the phone restarts every 10 minute and when I start certain apps.

I recommend you flash RSDlite stock JB and restore the backup in a clean JB rom.
I flashed the EU version but it wasn't rooted. I tried reapplying the razriroot2.zip but it didn't root the device although the installation was successful. Can anyone help?
The one u tried is for JellyBean only - try to flash the newest SuperSU:

Hello, fantastic rom! Can you add the DLNA service? =) Or show me how to add this thing? Thanks

Sorry, I tough it won't work without the DLNA service...
BTW, your ROM with Greenify is awesome!! Running lighting fast and my battery lasts for 1.5 days!

3.Opengapps:- http://opengapps.org/ (choose x86->5.0->pico)
4.Supersu ZIP :- http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/stable-2016-09-01supersu-v2-78-release-t3452703
5.Xposed (Optional):- http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/ (Go to sdk21 -> x86)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steps to flash the ROM:-
NOTE:- 1.These steps are applicable for the users
who are on Marshmallow custom ROMs like CM13.1,RR,AOKP,XOSP,AICP,etc.
and want to roll back to stock...and for lollipop users too(obviously).
2.Kitkat Users, Untested, Please Give Feedback.
3.Unlock bootloader is required.
A.Unlock the bootloader and flash twrp (Skip this step if already done).
B. VRY IMPORTANT STEP, DELETE '"ANDROID" FOLDER FROM INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STORAGE TO AVOID FORCE CLOSES
(AND EVEN HOT REBOOTS AT TIMES).
1.Put the necessary files in your EXTERNAL SDCARD
2.Reboot to recovery and wipe system, cache, dalvik cache and data.
3.[IMPORTANT STEP] After wiping all the partitions, go to 'Reboot" option and select 'REBOOT RECOVERY".
4.Once rebooted into recovery again, then navigate the zips and flash it.
(NOTE:-Flash in this order:-
ROM
OpenGapps
SuperSU
Then Xposed (optional, leave it if u don't use it).
Please follow this sequence ,flash supersu only after flashing rom and gapps, else you will get a lot of force closes. Also flash xposed Only after supersu.)
5.After completing flashing process, reboot to system and WAIT to boot the system (Have patience ,DON'T try to force restart unnecessarily)..
6.Once booted, open ASUS autostart manager and allow SuperSU to autostart,
then go to SuperSU and uncheck "mount namespace seperation",check "enable multiuser" and uncheck "tapjacking protection", AND REBOOT.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
TROUBLESHOOTING:-
NULL/00049 IMEI, SEE HERE :- http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5/help/rewrite-imei-null-00049-zenfone-5-t3389046
IMPORTANT NOTE:- ASUS sometimes ships different devices with same models, that is why there are
unresolvable bugs like No Camera after Unlocking Bootloader.
If you are facing such issues, I will not be able to help you at all with the issues you find as my device will be different from yours.

Nice.

nice, i'm gonna install this afternoon, i just lookinf for a ROM to my old tab5100
Dear tuxafgmur, we have been waiting for you and your special work for long time!
Thanks a lot for coming back to this forum and for sharing your updated galaxy tab2 rom development! This forum needs you and your work!
I am personally using in both my tablets, P5110 and P3110, your kernel until today (links here https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-2/galaxy-tab-2-unified and here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2176563) : it makes a device originaly restricted to 01GHZ to be able to run properly updated software nowadays at 1.52GHZ stable! Thats amazing! Even with battery savings if properly setup is done!
Please let me know if you need specific testing of overcloked kernels with this new slim based rom! As I wrote, updated software today needs overclock with this device to run properly: that is my opinion!
Thanks again.
PS: is it possible to use this old kernel from your previous work with this new rom ?
Hi and thank you for this new rom!
I tried to mount a samba share but it seems there's no cifs mounting support this time ( older Dhollmen roms got it)

Hello, im having a bit of a problem installing this rom. I have a custom rom installed already(bliss rom) but it a bit buggy and randomly reboots. Anyway im trying to install this rom and i have it installed to a sd card(downloaded using the tablet) reboot in the recovery, wipe everything and try to install. I keep getting an error for the zip (status 7). Im pretty new doing this kinda of stuff amd i cant seem to find any info on how to fix this. Can someone please help? Thanks.

Outdated recovery?
Also, verify the rom's .zip file MD5 sum.

Make also sure you are using the right file. There is a version for tabs with mobile data capability (having a sim card holder) called "espresso3g" and one for tablets without sim card holder ("espressowifi").
Thanks for the help guys, I found out i had the wrong file(picked the one for mobile data instead of wi-fi). After i figured that out it installed no problem.

I tried to mount a samba share but it seems there's no cifs mounting support this time ( older Dhollmen roms got it)

Explain why archaic implementations in modern systems?
It is coming:"Adding OMAP4430_CPU and GPU overclick support.
This patch adds the below config variables
OMAP4430_CPU_HAS_MPU_1_2GHZ
OMAP4430_CPU_HAS_MPU_1_4GHZ
OMAP4430_GPU_HAS_MPU_384MHZ
OMAP4430_GPU_HAS_MPU_512MHZ
to enable CPU's 1216, 1360 and 1472 MHz frequencies, also GPU's 384 and 512 MHz.
The patch also ensures that the CPU never starts at boot higer than 1216 MHZ
On the other hand, it adds an interface to allow changing core voltages."
From "github.com/Dhollmen/Kernel_omap4_ti_espresso/commit/8b64123df27d0f3ea8706e198471a41400901bad"
Waiting!
Thanks again!
