So I upgraded my touchpad to nightly Milaq cm-11-20140727. I also tried jcsullins version as well. Netflix is showing like this image.
http://www.imagebam.com/image/17f782341748403
I tried version 1.8.1 and it worked but kind of grainy, and no high res. The other thing I couldnt do is log into my side accounts etc..with 1.8.1. Anyone have any ideas?
Mine has done this in YouTube for the last few months, when I do get this I just restart the video and it usually plays correctly.

Yeah I just tried that and still no luck ...
This worked perfectly for me:

From here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405995, get these two files from the first post:
A. com.netflix.mediaclient.v3.2.1-B1346.apk.zip
B. NetflixHackPersist.zip
Next:
1. Uninstall Current Netflix
2. Install com.netflix.mediaclient.v3.2.1-B1346.apk from that zip
3. Block updates to Netflix App in Play Store
4. Flash NetflixHackPersist.zip in revcovery
5. Run netflix and log in
6. Unsure how much of this is necessary but it worked (may be able to skip this step): -> Quit out of netflix > Clear Netflix Data > Log back into Netflix
7. Restart Device
Should be great, and thanks to everyone who figured this out!

THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR HELP, SPECIALLY TO "Xezuka" XDA MEMBER
------------------------------------
Hi,
We have been working on "tv shows stream" android aplication and we whoul'd really like to know if it is working properly under Motorola Xoom using android 3.0 stock .
This device is not being sold yet at Europe...and we can not wait to know if the aplication will work fine
You can find the full thread of our aplication here :

The lite version is free and you can find it on market by searching "TV Shows Stream"
Thanks in advanced for the testing, we will really apreciate.
what does you app do? is it just a streaming site client?
I thought it relied on flash support? If so, it no work ie until flash for honeycomb is available.

Not exactly.
I dont want to advertise the aplication here and thast why i didnt say a description, but basically the aplication searchs over internet for tv-shows links capables to be played directly on your device, with full screen support using megavideo, frogmovz, karambavidz and other hosting services. The search results are shown in a intuitive and easy to use interface.
You can find a detailed description in the xda thread of the aplication:

You are right, my mistake, i thught it was already availeable. So I will have to wait a bit more, thanks for the information.
Maybe I should close the thread and re-open it after flash has been released.
The app is now starting up, looks, and runs great. I've been waiting for this! Android 2.2~ version on my Droid X is amazing. Just waiting for Flash...

Just tried it out on both my Xoom and Captivate.
I am pretty sure things are working on the Captivate as they should, so used that as a guide. Hehe Test videos played through each host, low Res, but no issues.
OK.. on the Xoom the UI seems fine and works. Problems come up when playing the videos. When playing a Megavideo link the MV interface comes up with no player controls, nothing else happens. When trying Frogmovz or Karambavids.. I get a black screen with no video controls. Touching the center of the screen has triggered play/pause, but I just seem to get audio and no video is shown.
I tried out playing Megavideos through their website and that worked fine for me.

Hi,
The same problems have been reported by using unoficial flash version on htc evo. The solution was uninstall flash and reinstall from market.
Are you using the leaked version of flash 10.2 right?
It should be availeable on 18th on android market for all devices and it should fix the sound with no video issue.
Thanks for the infor, it wil really help us.
I have same issue with Xoom also. Works great and love the app on my fascinate.

Hello,
I have a paid for version of TV Shows Stream, it works on my Nexus One thanks very much for that. I admit that I probably never use it, but I like it and it works most of the time.
I have a Xoom, with v3.0.1 and the leaked Flask 10.2 APK. At this time, flash content via the stock browser seems to work fine but TV Shows Stream does not seem to work properly. All browsers come up with a blank window more or less, I tried a few megavideo and karambozworths.
Yes, it works great on the Nexus One but on the Xoom with the leaked 10.3 flash you can hear the sound but no video. Hope you get it working because it would be great to watch it on a larger screen!
I probably wouldn't be too concerned for now as the leaked version is having issues in other browsers as well. I'm not sure if that'd be because they don't see the leaked version or what... but as with the others, the app works fantastically on my Droid X but has no Video or Audio for the Xoom running the leaked Flash 10.2
Ill update again when its officially released March 18th and reinstalled.
TV Shows Stream full is my fav app and I use it daily on my Droid X with no issues. Cannot wait for xoom compatibility which as previously mentioned should be resolved when the official flash file is available on market March 18 if I read correctly. I will def uninstall the leaked file and load the official 10.2 release and report back on its usuability on my xoom. Great app btw dev. -

I have the Flash leak for my Xoom and I concur the app opens and you can see the list of shows but just cannot play the video (or see the video controls), just a blank screen.
However, I emailed myself a link for a show (from within your app) and then opened the link in the email with my broswer. The video played fine with no problems. Thus I assume when the official Flash 10.2 is released this week we will be able to load the video from right within the app - as I do on my Droid X.
BTW -great app - best money spent on an app. Keep up the awsome work
tv shows
I use the TV shows application all the time on my xoom. Right now u just have to email yourself the link for the video you want to play. I copy and paste the link in dolphin hd browser. Just make sure dolphin hd is in desktop mode. I doing this I can stream video fine, thanks for the great app also I have the leaked version of flash installed.

Hi
Is a usefull workaround but we have the intention to offer a better solutions.
We are almost sure that with the official release of flash player will work as it works most of devices, but we are already working in alternative solutions.
We have already a working solution in some video servers, karambavidz and Loombo (loombo will be added in next update) will have an option for watching the videos using any of the player you have installed on the phone, even native android player. FastForward and RW completelly working and very smooth playback, as not flash player will be used on those videos. More info soon, we are hard working right now on it.
Hi
Can someone uninstall the leaked version of flash and install the official 10.2 from market to chec if the problems still persist? Thanks in advanced.
Yes Haze, I've got the paid version and the behavior is the same. On the Xoom, the leaked version was 10.2.155.67 and todays version is 10.2.166.12 so I suspect very minor changes.

In the next update, Karambavidz video links will be able to be watched in the native android player or any other player , without the need of flash player.
You can also email yourself the link and open it with the dolphin HD broser as a temporary workaround, it has been reported to work fine.
We are working on it , thanks for the testing time.
I upgraded my NC to 1.3 then root it. My market currently works perfect but some problems are occurred with GMail & Youtube app
GMAIL: it can sync emails but cannot SEND any message out.
YOUTUBE: i can not watch any clip inside Youtube app (Youtube app said that "The problem has occurred")
P/S: i'm currently using Darginling 09012011 kernel.
Can anyone help me?
You might want to re-install GApps
just flash the gapps from cm7, huh?
YouTube has been broke for a few months. The only temp fix is to turn off high quality video. It's the apps fault not the roms
Oh and go to the market page. You will see many other phones have problems with youtube

I had an issue with YouTube which was solved by reinstalling as described in this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1258529
I reinstalled using the youtube apk found in 16a image. I first deleted the existing YouTub apk from /system/apps with Titanium Backup. Then I copied the app from the 16a image over to the SD card and used RootExplorer to copy it to EMMC. I then ensured that NookColor Tools was set to allow installing apps from outside of the market. Once I re-installed everything was fine.
i tried to reinstall but it still doesn't work T_T. Thank all of you anyway
Guys,
So I recently, successfully, followed the [ROM][CM7] [v1.3] Size-agnostic SD Card image and CM7 installer for SD Cards thread to use CM7 on an SD Card on my Nook Color 1.4.2. Everything worked out flawlessly and everything seems to be working just fine.
I have the Original Nook OS running via Internal Memory (If I boot without SD Card); and CM7 running via SD Card.
One issue that i've run into is that my YouTube is not playing HD Videos. If I try to play any HD Video, I get the error..
"There was a problem playing this video.
Please touch to retry".
If I click the "HD" button on top-right corner to disable HD, the video starts playing just fine in SD Quality. All SD Videos play just fine.
I have not been able to play any HD video at all on YouTube.
The YouTube I'm talking about is the YouTube App available on the Google Play Store.
Is it just me or do HD Videos not play on the Nook Color via YouTube?
Thanks!!
Unfortunately it depends on the format the hd is encoded to... it is hit and miss.
One thing that MAY help is to install MX player and the codec pack for it.

Thanks for replying Dizzy.
I installed MX Player and it's codecs; I have to say that my actual MP4/MKV files are actually running pretty smooth & nicely in this player .... however, YouTube HD Videos still won't work.
I think what bothers me is that it's not appearing as a "hit and miss" with me; it's appearing as a total "miss" with me and I want to make sure it's not just me. Over the last couple of days I must have tried something like 30 ~ 40 HD Clips - absolutely none of them work - each gives the same message.
Could it be something else in my setup?
Thanks.

Ok - so basically HD Videos do not work on YouTube on the NC at all; that is fine, I think I just primarily wanted to make sure it's not just me or my setup. I know "HD" isn't really conducive on the NC anyways since it's max resolution is 854 X 480 ... it's not even 720p.
Thanks for clarifying.
Is there any way to modify the YouTube apk so that it won't play in HD? It's been getting annoying how it keeps trying to play in HD and just fails.

I'd like to know this as well.
Try the apk in the following link to play HQ youtube clips
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1282736
Only problem is that Google play detects this as an old version and will try and update. You could always break the market link with Titanium Backup or similar program

Actually the resolution is 1024x600.
A bit better than the lower res 854 x 480.

Try starting youtube app...
go menu... Settings... if High quality on mobile is checked... uncheck it... if it is unchecked... check it.
Mine is checked...
NOTICE: with it checked or unchecked... if you select a HD video... it will ALWAYS initialize in HD mode and you have to tap on the HD logo top right of video to avoid the error message.

I'm Running ICS and the only option in the Settings is to Disable HD over 3G, which the Nook doesn't have. Clicking the HD button disables HD playback for a Playlist but as soon as you leave the Playlist it defaults to HD again. Also HQ is also disabled if you Disable HD in the App. What I need is a patch for the Youtube app so that it thinks my Nook isn't HD capable as it's supposed to.

This was already suggested in this thread, but you can install an older version of YouTube that does not detect you are running in HD and it will play HD videos in HQ. They are decent quality and do not crash. But there is no tablet interface either. To keep play store from updating or bugging you, uncheck automatic updating for YouTube and tell it to not notify you of updates. Get the older version here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17983409
It is version 2.1.6

I already know about that but I updated to CM9 to get the new ICS interfaces. I'd rather suffer the HD presses(Which are less difficult in the latest UI overhaul from Google) then Downgrade. I'm just expressing that I'd be interested if anybody wanted to try and patch it. I have nowhere near the coding skills to create a patch myself(I'm standing on Earth while the Skills are on Neptune).

I've downloaded and tried so many xbmc versions now I am about to just give up. I've tried several nightlies and monthlys and the official. I pretty much always end up with crackling audio and the xaf versions don't perform as well imo. I followed the install instructions in post 4 and audio was fine after the initial wizard setup, but on next run of xbmc audio was broken again. Works fine on my 2013 nexus 7 running slimbean 4.3 and xbmc 13 alpha 7 but same setup on note 3 produces crackling audio.

it works. i have it running no problem, used the same version posted above. all you have to is download mx player and the xbmc apk mentioned above,
-check settings->security->unknown sources if you haven't already
-install mx player fromplay store or backup, then xbmc apk mentioned above.
-run mx player and play a video.
-close mx player
-run xbmc app, it should auto setup and update plugins upon first use.
EDIT: i just read that tutorial above, and noticed that it doesn't mention running mx player and playing a video prior to the first run of the xbmc app. from what i understand, that is required for best functionality. i would suggest deleting all apps and data correlated to the apps, rebooting, and trying the method i mentioned above this edit.
