Make ascend P7 volume louder - Huawei Ascend P7

I found a solution that works on the P7:
In the /data/cust/prop/local.prop
Add following lines just before a #:
ro.config.hw.security_volume = 11
ro.config.ce_authenticate = 1
So at the end:
# Ro.config.hw.security_volume = 11
# Ro.config.ce_authenticate = 1
Save the file, restart phone.
Volume is significantly higher. [emoji2]

Here you go, original file, extract and place the xml back in the right directory.
Very important to put the right rights back on the file after replacement RW-r-r-!!
Place the file in : system/etc/audio/codec not etc/audio/codec this is a symlinked directory

Yes your phone needs to be rooted.
However I found the explanation of the OP a bit confusing, you don't need to add those lines before a #, but you have to add a # before those lines.
In the orriginal file they are:
ro.config.hw.security_volume = 11
ro.config.ce_authenticate = 1
And you should make them like:
# Ro.config.hw.security_volume = 11
# Ro.config.ce_authenticate = 1

I only have to say thanks to everyone here that made my p7-L10 sound like a very expensive device. Using this tweek and viper4android is amazing the sound of music trough my senheisser headphones. Only, make sure that you enable permission for once viper4android is running, doesn't turn off when phones goes to sleep mode (black screen after 15 seconds.)

[Q] Led Lights Blinking

Well, a couple days ago I installed the Cyanogen Mod RC 2 via this topic. So, i found some problems (common bugs) such as wi-fi dont conecting, the led that lighs the screen blinking, proximity sensor and etc.
To fix these problems, i got this video from this tutorial and flashed the package from the tutorial. The problems were solved, except the led, that some times blinks and turns off randomly. What should I do? Is there any way to "format" and install an official firmware, or original files related to the LED lights to solve it?
Since now thanks!

I have the same problem, actually I'm using the DDKQ6 2.3.4 ROM, I've installed a lot of other ROMS and i'm still trying to install one to fix the problem...
Any idea if it is a factory issue or it is a rom issue?

You need to turn off the LED lights to solve the problem. This ROM is known for this problem. Secondary solution is to flash another ROM such as ICS Sunday Final by jusada, which is one the best ROMs ever made.

Why always something must not working for me? Yesterday I had The End 2.5, I applied transparent statusbar patch by zdunes (did exactly what was said in tutorial), and statusbar was black, and still had ghosting issue. After every reboot my theme (in theme chooser) was default, not miuiv4 (what was really annoying). Now I'm back to CM7.2 by vo-1 (signature) and after every reboot I must go to keyboard options to 'turn it on' cause if I don't do that my keyboard won't appear. AND NOW THIS. Backlight script isn't working. I think my phone doesn't like me.
thx
Thank you very much.
I solved the problem doing a factory reset and installing the OXFKT1 ROM. The wifi problem, blinking and black screen were solved.

I tried doing it but..i think there is some problem in permissions as this script does'nt gets executed automatically while booting(restarting).
My permissions are rwxr-xr-x
But when i open with linux script handler in root explorer and execute it does its job.
so it means script is ok but it has some permissions problem.
plz reply
edit: got it fixed. permissions are correct.
dont knw why tht particular script file was not workin so i copied the two lines and pasted in some other working script kept thr in the same folder which finally worked.

No, no, no. My script is correct from the beginning. The most likely cause is Windows EOL (end of line). Windows uses carriage return and line feed as a line ending, which Unix uses just line feed. ROM modder mostly use Windows OS to create a modified ROM for Android and often unaware about this EOL derp

Have you got any benchmark results or evidence of an performance increase? I'm not giving an program/script root access to my phone, without some proof of an increase.

Which after some googling found out it does (from a similar script for desktop Linux):
Writing to this will cause the kernel to drop clean caches, dentries and inodes from memory, causing that memory to become free.

UPDATE: have found it runs pretty much same as V6 Supercharger, drains battery horribly though.
I was on 54% battery last night, data & wifi off and killed tasks before going bed.. I checked CPU Spy, it had been in a deep sleep state for most of the night.
I awoke to a dead phone, which doesn't even happen on the v6 supercharger!
How do I uninstall this script, can I just delete the file from bin?
I tried this but I see no difference ... should i restart the device?
cm 7.2 rc1, smartassv2 264-710 MHz
edit: rebooted the phone....still no difference.....
To really see the benefits of the boost, you need to change the file permissions. Go into a root terminal and type:
chmod +t boost
This gives the boost Time Travel permissions. Now, all processes will be completed before you even run them. Talk about a turbo boost!!
Also set the date of your phone to whatever you want the open the dialer and type "#"#7925#"#" and you'll be timewarped into the future.

Ok just done a little digging around the op's other thread (which is now locked by a mod) on a different forum as he hasn't exactly explained what this does in any of them which leads me to believe he doesn't exactly know, and probably copied it from someone else, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1542602
What this does is clear the cache filesystem. 3 = free pagecache, dentries and inodes, while 1 = just free pagecache. Which in theory will decrease battery life as the cache needs to then be rebuilt afterwards.
This is already included in v6 supercharger so no need to use this if you have v6, just perform the engine flush or whatever its called whenever you want to free up some memory stuck in cache files. Its basically the same thing according to other users, I haven't looked to see if thats true or not but they sounded like they knew what they we're talking about so i believe them.

steps to make flashall_AFT working while flashing fastboot rom.

hello XDA,

many of us including me have faced this issue that after extracting the fastboot firmware file when we get to click on falshall_AFT file it doesn't go as expected and do nothing.
here is the thing we can do to get it worked.
1. go to your system's my computer or this computer icon.
2. right click on it and open properties.
3. on the left pan there would be advance system setting option, click on it.
4. in the opened window look for Environment variables and click the button.
5. in system variables space look for Path variable.
6. select Path variable and click on edit.
7. in opened box now click on new button.
8. add C:\Windows\System32
9. click ok on every opened box.
10. go back to your firmware folder and now click on flashall_AFT file.

Restore back old flashall_AFT.cmd and change the folder name to 8 char without spaces.
For eg. old folder name was "Asus Max Pro 2" just rename it to "asus" and try running flashall_AFT.cmd.
can't flash it's say write protected
any solution?

did you find the solution yet?
I have used flashall_AFT.cmd for my zenpad.
open command prompt
go to directory where flashall_AFT.cmd is present
type command "flashall_AFT.cmd 1"
This will solve error of "1 was unexpected at this time"
