May be you can try Hotspot shield or Hola.
I prefer Hola -better internet this gives per app proxy & in yhe list of apps try tethering apps
you may not be able to use wifi tethering if disabled form operators side.
If you use Hola then enable unblocker, enable acceleration, then tap on unblocker see the list of apps select the country you want & Run(play) the app.
but you can try VPNs(Hotspot shield & Hola) for same & report here if it works.
Hit Thanks If i helped.

Please try this
Install the apk
Then go into Settings -> Connections -> More Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names. Once there, press menu, and choose "Reset to default". (Make sure you have at least one apn checked after resetting defaults)
Then try Tethering. You may or may not need to reboot after resetting APNs.
Let me Know

Get Wifi tether router set interface to wlan0 then create new APN, name whatever you want, apn to fast.t-mobile.com and make sure it's set to ipv4. Set tether provisioning in build prop to false. Reboot. Enable wifi tether and try it out, should be good. I set the build prop tweaks in 3c toolbox so it should stay, tethered around 12 gigs so far with no issue.

[How To] tether Wifi and USB Thrive P506 without app or having to deal with AT&T

First you have to open the hidden menu. To open the hidden menu go to your dial pad and dial 3845#*506#. it will open automatically. Scroll all the way to the bottom and open connectivity test. then you will see an option that says entitlement Enable/Disable. Uncheck this box and close out of the hidden menu. Now go to settings then wireless & networks then tethering and portable hotspot. check the option that says USB Tethering and check option below that says portable wifi hotspot. Go into the portable wifi hotspot settings and make sure portable wifi hotspot is checked. the option below that opens a menu that allows you to configure security. open it and put in a password for your wifi or select open. You can now use your Lg Thrive as a Wifi Hotspot or tether via USB. ENJOY!!!
If you dont know about a setting, research it or you risk making parts of your phone not functional. The hidden menu can be used to change things like UAstring, set fast dormancy, allow multiple pdp mode, change network mode, and others. this may work for other phones as well. to get into it on another phone dial 3845#*(your model number(should be 3 numbers) then #. the menu should open automatically. Im not sure of what phones this works on. but know it does work on phones similar to the Thrive. i will post the menus to go into to change other options as well. Hope this was helpful

The hidden menu ONLY works on stock/stock-based ROMs. (with HiddenMenu.apk installed). No, it does not work on CM7, do not even bother.
if they put a copy of the hiddenmenu.apk in there system file would it install it? its not an installable apk. its just in the app file in system folder. might just be lg software. if anyone wants to try it i will post a copy.

Has anyone gotten wifi tether to work on the leaked Droid 4 ICS builds?

I can't seem to get WiFi Tether to work on ICS build 6.16.206 and was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem.
Thanks
WiFi Tether does not seem to work properly but I am posting this from my Xoom while tethered to D4 using the Mobile Hotspot with the entitlement check removed, so that method does work.
I don't like to use the Mobile Hotspot and prefer the Wifi Tether app, but it looks like it needs tweaking for these builds.
Hmmm. I tried the Mobile Hotspot SQLite hack and that didn't work either. It gets stuck at "Identifying" when I try to connect with my PC. Weird.
Free wifi works using Sqlite
I am using my mobile hotspot to send post this reply. After I watched a video on youtube on how to get wifi on the Bionic using SqLite Editor. I gave it a try and it did work. I don't know what to expect next from Verizon so if you wanna try it TIGHTEN UP YOUR BALLS AND SEAL YOUR BUTT HOLE in case Verizon decides to f* you up or break your balls because I am not responsible for the outcome
HOw to bypass Verizon Mobile Hotspot restriction to use wifi:
1-Purchase and install SqLite Editor over the market
2-Open SqLite, scroll down the list and choose "Settings Storage"(the one with the hammer and wrench)
3-On the next screen select "settings.db"
4-Then choose "settings"
5-Once on the MS-Excel-sheet-looking page, hit the menu button
6-On the pop-up menu select "set filter"
7-In the "Filter value" field type the word "check"
8-Click and hold on the "entitlement_check"
9-"Edit" the value from "1" to "0"
10-Exit the app and reboot
11-Check Mobile Hotspot under your System Settings and you are back onto free wireless tethering
N.B: For those of you, the cheap bastards, please don't try to snatch a refund by trying to uninstall the app within 15 minutes of purchase. Have a bit of decency, will you?!!!
I don't know why this won't work for me. I froze a bunch of stuff with Titanium Backup so I thought one of those may have been the culprit but after unfreezing everything I still can't successfully connect. Grrr.
Maybe that is why. I did it on bone stock. Try to bring everything back to normal then reboot. Once done try the method again.
Wifi Tethering Works Great
I am using the app 'Foxfi' and my Wifi Tethering works absolutely flawlessly.

I was able to change entitlement_check and now mobile hotspot can be activated, and other devices can connect to the Droid 4, but internet is not shared to this devices. On the previous phones I have to change APN type to "default, dun, supl" in order to enable internet sharing, but I was not able to do this for Droid 4. Any ideas how to fix that?

Need help trying to bypass AT&T's Tether Verification

Back when I was using my LG Optimus G Pro on AT&T I was able to enable tethering verification bypass by editing one of the tables in an sqlite database in com.android.providers.settings from a 0 to a 1.
Hoping and praying that it would be just as easy, I went looking in the same location and alas, did not find the same table entry I found in my LG OG Pro.
I am on a grandfathered unlimited plan and would like to be able to share my data with my other devices as I have for the last 5 years.
Can anyone assist with this matter? Or is a custom ROM my only option?
And just to note, I've already tried FoxFi and all it does is access/modify the stock tethering options. When I try to turn Tethering on, it says "verifying" then directs me to ATT's site to add tethering to my plan. WHICH I REFUSE TO DO.
Thanks in advance!
Just FYI I tried adding the entry: tether_entitlement_check_state 0 to the settings.db and rebooting...but when turning on the hotspot, my phone still tries to verify with ATT.

I myself used titanium backup to freeze the system app "tetheringprovision". Then I use a widget to enable/disable Wi-Fi hotspot. You might get a force close once, but after you setup ssid and password you shouldn't anymore.
Other users report this method working.

How to get free mobile hotspot without root

Hi. This post is for those that don't want to root (if you are already rooted you can still follow this) but want hotspot. This method is similar to the LG G3 but some how works on the LG G4 without root.
I made a video. Enjoy.
https://youtu.be/j3Di9d7w1so
It's safe to upgrade to ZVB as long as you do the trick below.
Some good news, a few people have figure out a way to keep the tethering. It requries you to downgrade back to LP (if you are on marshmallow)
(Directions created by Bombillazo, thanks to antonio824
1) On ZV6, used the steps to get to IOT menu to change APN settings.
2) Selected LTE settings > APN settings. Open the App close button (square one on the bottom menu) and check that you have separate instances for the ITO and APN menu. THIS IS CRITICAL DO NO CLEAR THEM OR CLEAR ALL!
3) Applied the MM update (ZV9 and or ZVA).
4) Let the upgrade finish and reboot.
5) When finished press the square button again and go to the APN settings window. You should be able to select the n.ispsn APN again and add dun to APN type. (NOTE: IOT will close if you select it but it doesn't matter. The important one is the APN settings window).
6) Congrats! You have Wifi tethering with MM!
7) Just in case you wanna test like I did, don't close the APN settings window and try to update system stuff to see if it changes the APN settings. I can confirm that updating your profile on the System Updates menu will undo the APN type change.
In MM, you can pin apps to the recents menu so it can't be cleared by "clear all"
Welp, this is the end folks, the new Marshmallow update (ZV9) has patched this trick. Feel free to try it to make sure but as far as I know, it doesn't work. Had a great run!
omfg i love you.
Thanks so much! Now unlimited data has a proper use
Just going to add, if, after enabling tethering, you get a popup saying "Due to network issues, tethering has been disabled, go through the same steps and select cinet.spcs instead of internet in the APN settings.

You are the man. Awesome and easy to do.:fingers-crossed::laugh:
As far as I can tell this just bypasses the check to see if tethering is enabled on your plan. Can't they still tell that the data traffic is tether traffic? After all it does show up under mobile data as "Tethering and hotspot"
I don't think they even check if the data is coming from tethering or phone use. How do custom roms work? They just enable hotspot without checking same here.
I'm not worried about Sprint monitoring data usage... Normally I hover around 10-15Gb per month usage, with a moderate amount of tethering. But about two years ago, I used a Galaxy Nexus hotspot as my home internet for about 9 months with no issues. Downloading ISOs, streaming, VoIP, etc. Regularly over 100Gb usage, never a peep. Stopped doing it because I got sick of listening to my wife complain about having to restart the phone every few days. In retrospect I should have just put a tasker script on there to reboot it nightly and toggle the hotspot back on.....

How to use Hotspot and USB tethering for FREE (Sprint, possibly more)

Go into airplane mode, then come out, directly after hit whichever one you want to do (wifi hotspot/USB tethering) and it should work without problems. I have tried and used both. If you have an easier way, please share!
Go to An settings and add dun to the end of the pan type. Works everytime. Not just Motorola, works on Note8 and V20
"An settings"? "pan type"?

I just acquired a stock Sprint Z2 Force on Oreo 8.0 and the usual Airplane / Quick Hotspot tap fix isn't working like it did on the E5 Plus and Z3 Play, both of which were also running Oreo - the hotspot never activates on the Z2. APN's are all greyed out and locked and there's no way to add another one as of now. I need Hotspot in emergencies only, but I do need it for those occasional situations. Any other workarounds? Thanks!
Update - APN's can be added (not edited or removed) when the phone first reboots, but adding the dun command to the default "internet x.ispsn" APN - under a new APN with all other settings duplicated (as was suggested) - doesn't enable the hotspot as of now.

Just search for your operator by numeric. Sprint is 310120
