I don't have the device infront of me but I am 99% sure it was
"Can't mount /system
Can't mount /data"
For the record I can flash a STOCK rom with Odin. I don't think there is a way to flash any other roms by usb neither with heimdall nor odin.
Attempting to format data and system just outputs the same error.
I've been used to playing around with HTCs. Is there a way to for me to format data and system via the Android Console or adb?
I also tried fully formatting sdcard0(internal sdcard) and sdcard1(external sdcard) and flashing stock from Odin and then a recovery (I understand recovery =kernel on samsung?) with heimdall.
Can I try flashing via built-in recovery with update.zip or something like aroma installer just won't work?

Which stock firmware are you using? Try to flash XXJVU with Odin. Also use a 512 pit and check re-partition.

Yes, recovery is built in the kernel. It can't be flashed separately.

Last time I attempted to install XXJVU it bootlooped. I will attempt what you suggested this evening. I have the correct pit files.
The stock firmware which worked:

When i boot my phone after its done with odin it never passes the galaxy s Gt-i9000 screen. I tried using odin with dark's resurection and 2.2 stock but nothing works. The phone can't go into clockwork recovery either. Reading the other threads its possible that the one click lag fix may have something to do with this. So please help me..... ohh and btw its a bell i9000m
Thanks
also phone can go into download mode so there has to be a way to fix it
Download your tree file stock rom for odin, use 512pit and check repartition in odin.

Put the tar file in the PDA slot. I think it doesn't really matter where you put the files as they're automatically flashed to the right place, though I could be wrong.

If I were you I would go on samfirmware.com to get a safe firmware download and JVQ which is 2.3.4 then download talon kernel 4.3 and flash via Odin, then download juwes rom 5.2 and flash via CWM. this is a very fast and stable rom with great battery life. This rom combined with the legend x fusion 3.0 theme is just awesome. I know juwes 5.3 is out now but I still reccomend 5.2 also juwes uses semaphore kernel as a default but I use the talon kernel its awesome. Good luck!

[Q] Bootloop - always end up in Clockwork recovery mode

Hi,
I used heimdall to flash CM7 as mentioned here. It finished correctly. When rebooting system for the first time it ended up in recovery mode, so I select "reboot system now", but it booted in recovery mode again and again.
I tried "install zip from sdcard" and flash cm7 zip again given in this thread, nothing changed.
Then I selected "advanced" > "show log"
it says:
Code:
CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.7
dalvik.vm.stack-trace-file=/data/anr/traces.txt
...
...
...
I:Checking for extendedcommand...
I:Skipping execution of extendedcommand, file not found...
Any idea how to boot it up properly?
Try wiping system and cache then reboot.
@rafaeker19, also tried that too, it again booted into recovery mode. Actually I tried all methods in recovery mode (wiped dalvik cache, wipe cache etc.) I think, it is something with files /dev/block/mmcblk0 ..p0..p1..p2 , but I am not sure, anyway I dont know the solution.
Turn it off. Boot to download mode. Load something.
D
Try redownloading the rom.
"I:Skipping execution of extendedcommand, file not found..."
maybe the download is corrupt.
I downloaded and tried flashing cm7 again in download mode. Still staying on recovery mode.

Yeah, there was stock rom gingerbread. but it was stuck on the "computer -> /!\ -> phone" screen. So I used "heimdall close-pc-screen" command to solve the issue.
Have you messed with cache partitioning?

I used that command exactly:
Code:
heimdall flash --repartition --pit gt-p1000_mr.pit --primary-boot boot.bin --secondary-boot sbl.bin --kernel zImage --factoryfs factoryfs.ext4 --cache cache.ext4 --dbdata dbdata.ext4
It sounds like you need to flash a stock rom like the chainfire JQ1 in the development thread.
You will have to flash a .pit file to repartition, then the rom, then the dbdata file to set up the CSC. It's all spelled out there. Use the bootloader version.
Once things are fixed go for CM7.

Does anyone know
What firmware you're using at the moment?
XXJVK 2.3.3
And you tried to flash newer stock firmware (JVU) with Odin?
CODE = PDA
MODEM = PHONE
CSC = CSC
Just put those files in and start.
Yes...
Have you tried to flash it with CMW?
the i9000 can't be dead the best phone
Odin flash with pit-file as well?
doawnload XWJVZ stock rom enter in dowload mode open Odin select pit file put in pit file in odin select repartion and flash; then remove battery and again enter in doawnload mod and in odin put ABOOT file in BOOTLADER ,CODE in PDA,MODEM in PHONE,
CSC in CSC and flash (NOT check repartion in Odin) good lock
can not. I tried 1000 times and can not
My only chance is to transfer ROM to external card and flashing ROM with CWM. It may be ok?
Roms should be flashed form internal sd card.
Do you use rfs file system maybe you have something else and that can cause problem.
I have no idea what I use but I know that nothing can adjust.

i9000 bricked or something like that.

Have you tired using a pit file?
flash a stock rom from samfirmware.com with ODIN.(eg. jw5)
to extract the password is "samfirmware.com"
tick repartition and use 512 pit file(included in rom from samfirmware).
check youtube for "flash with odin" if u dont know how.
edit:u are trying to flash from from samsungs 3 recovery.u need cwm(clockworkmod) to flash.
go to CF-ROOT(for i-9000) thread and follow instructions and read all in the OP(1-2-3 posts)
again u need ODIN to flash it.
hey
there is the best wasy to do that...just go to sammobile.com
there sign up first and then download the firmware (in firmware tab) and flash-programs...
the make sure to use oidn3_v1.0 only...
you can also download the flash-guide if you need it...
its simple..
Thanks to everyone for replays, but nothing helped me x_x

And then it keep showing me GT 9000 logo......
yes i used 512pit and using 1.82 odin
I know there is way to install in to external SDcard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdMhYYdMB08
I had such error and successfully installed rom in to sdcard but i had issue with phone signal, so tried to re install rom and now its keep teling me cant mount data..

Yep, keep shows only gt-9000 logo..
I had a very similar problem earlier this year.
From what I could see the partitions on the phone's internal storage weren't able to be accessed. In adb I tried using parted and rm but the partitions there (/dev/block/mmc/blk0) didn't ever change. I also tried various .pit files and Android versions through Odin but nothing worked.
I took my phone in for repairs after flashing a really old version; as close as possible to what it came with, and they fixed it. The repair was due to 'mechanical fatigue' according to them. I assumed the internal storage was some how broken or corrupted and couldn't be written to.
Not sure, if you manage to solve this.
From you screenshots I can see you are using 3e recovery. I would suggest you to flash a kernel which support cwm recovery mode.
I have heard peoples getting this error while using it on 3e.
Captain_17
Yes Captain_17, i have exactly same problem, cant give it to repair since purchased it from abroad.

3e recovery because i`ve flashed 2.2 and 2.2.1 or any other official roms, i can flash CWM easy but as Captain_17 said i can see but cant touch
files or partitions.
If flash CWM then phone will boot to CWM only, and i cant flash any rom from CWM because i cant copy files to internal storage and external (sdcard) cwm doesn't see it.
Sorry man, wish I could be of more help. I tried every available option I could find online but nothing worked.
Seems to be a hardware problem and replacing the damaged part is the only solution.
Silly question, but you ticked re-partition? try flash 2.2.1 or 2.3.3 with 512 pit and repartition
Also, you could try to flash Darky ressurection via odin, not completely stock rom. I know that this is just tweaked stock, but you could try do that.
And, you could try to use Heimdall instead of odin - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196179
I have read somewhere that heimdall is more preferable than odin in some cases.

Will look into flashing a rescue kit?
Hi.
Have you tried full restore to GB? Original Stock Firm.
-Get your stock from http://samfirmware.com/ & Odin (with pit file).
Don't forget the WIPE! ( you can restore to stock and after that wipe and restart )
For me, at any problem i have... i use the GB Flash Kit from Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1637966
And folow that 5 steps.
Don't forget to have a Backup of EFS (IMEI)
Search here on XDA, you will find the right way to bypass your problem, it always happened, don't panic.
