"finn" from "getfinn" bicycle mount - G2 Accessories

Hello Everyone,
has anyone tried the "finn" holder for bicycle´s from the website getfinn.com ?
Does it fit to the LG G2 ?
I couldn´t find anything about this product here
But i need a good bicycle holder
http://getfinn.com/

It should definetely fit.

I don't see how that wouldn't jar the heck out of the phone, rotate, potentially spill the phone, etc.. Plus of course it's not in the slightest bit protective etc.
Maybe if you're minimalistic and ride on perfectly smooth roads it might work.

@khaytsus check the YT reviews of Finn, it's damn good, one dude was riding through the stairs and his phone wasn't moving.

I am looking for a good phone mount to put on my Harley. Don't think I would trust this one but it looks like a quality holder.

Touch Diamond Bike Holders

Hello
Im after a bike computer and figure that to save myself from buying a new one i could use my diamond. This leads to 2 questions.
1) Are there any decent apps out there that are decent for use as a bike computer. All i really require is speed, distance and times at various points, really!
2) More importantly, does anyone know of any phone holders that are suitable to attach to the front handlebar of a bike (and by bike i mean bicycle), remembering that it gets shaken around a fair bit and needs to be pretty secure so that it doesnt come flying off!
I came across a program called Pocket GForce which appears to be roughly what im after, has anyone used it for this purpose?
Hi,
searched for the same for a minute and then got the idea to get a quick-snappable front bag for the bike with a waterproof map-bag on it. Works out fine for me ...
1) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=424423
2)I'm looking for something like that myself. I wouldn't be surprised if dealextreme have somthing useful.
1) GPSCyclecomputer v3 as per previous post is exactly what you are after and what I use myself for mountain biking and urban cycling.
2) I use a RAM U-Bolt system similar to the one shown here:
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/rambikemount.php
(Note: I've mounted mine differently to that so that it doesn't stick out so high and forward either)
It is exceptionally well built and sturdy and easy to install. The only criticism I have of mine is that I use the weatherproof case holder and it can be difficult to see the screen through the plastic cover.
I don't have the specific details of exactly which bits I opted for, where I purchased from and cost to hand but happy to dig them out if you like.
HTH
You'll find exactly what you need in Sportypal and for the holder i have this one:

although is for iPhone can be fixed for the diamond also.

Is there a decent bike mount?

The Sapphire, along with the MyTracks app and music output, seems like the ultimate bike computer. I'd like to replace my wired computer, but I can't find a decent mount.
I've seen this:
http://www.fommy.com/view-full-page.asp?divid=HTC&model=HTC+Magic&skuno=81612
but I don't really trust it, plus it provides no water resistance.
I've seen this:
http://www.ram-mount.com/CatalogResults/PartDetails/tabid/63/partid/082065077045072079076045065081051085/Default.aspx
but it doesn't allow touch through on capacitive devices.
And I've seen this:
http://www.otterbox.com/2600-series/2600-series-pda-case/
Which would still require a bike mounting solution and gets pretty expensive.
Has anyone seen anything better?
i just use a car mount zipped tied to the handle bar cross frame - works a treat. Not water resistant granted!

which car mount?
It was a suction one i had for my HTC HD from Ebay, because it was large it fits snug when i have the magic in it with its silicon case on
Sounds somewhat appealing since I could just put the phone in a ziploc. Is it something like this one?

or is it more like this?

Those are better, mines zip-tied to the handlebars.
Right. Those both have a handlebar mount thing, but my concern is getting something that the PDA won't come out of.
Is your PDA holder part like those one of the links?
Come to think of it, since you mention zip ties, maybe the Otterbox is best anyway. I could drill a couple of holes, zip tie and then add some silicone caulk to shut out the water.
are those universal bike mounts?

I dont know, I have two and have had them for years, one I bought maybe 12 years ago, the other came attached to a second hand bike I bought.
The HL-500 is very common. As cateye says on their website....
The halogen light that set the standard, the HL-500 is the most copied light in the history of the bicycle industry. CatEye HL-500 was the first bicycle light to use a halogen bulb. The original. A classic. And after more than 15 years, still very popular!
you can probably pick one new for about 10-12 bucks at cheapest. Check second hand bike shops, they are so common you will probably find one there, or even a regular second hand store.

Best Device Holder for Cycling

Hey guys,
hope you can help me out by sharing your experience with me. I'm currently trying to find a good device holder for my Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. I'm planning to use it on my bike for sport cycling trips.
Do you have a list of recommendations for a good device holder? Which products do you use?
I'm interested on this thread too. How can I get the Xperia on my bike?
OtterBox 1900
I've made a test, in Portuguese, with a few more images, at PocketPT.net forum.
Hope it's allright to post the link, as it is in PT, and certainly not a contender to xda.
If not, Mods are wellcome to remove it.
Nice report, vmiguel: just how energetic can you get with your mountain biking and your Xperia on the handlebars? Is the xperia made to absorb such vibratin?
And does the protection create visibility problems with the reflection of the sun?
Well... it's all in the test, really... but not everybody reads Portuguese, eh?
OtterBox has a proper bike suport to attach this case, but I do not have it. Instead, I use the original hand/arm neoprene band around the handle bar. It stays there *almost* all the time. Only in really bad terrain it tends to rotate downwards. But never falled out of the bike.
Regarding vibrations, the case isolates the pda from them. The pda sits between a neoprene band that forces it to the rubber screen. The pda does not touch any hard part. So, no problem there.
The rubber screen works well, but surely creates a visual barrier, but nothing major. Can not eat the cake and keep it also, right? For touch operations, it's pretty good.
Maybe you can try google translation on the test, it will not be 100% right, but maybe enough.
Anyway, I'll try to answer here any specific questions about it.
Thanks for your help, will take a closer looks at Otterbox. It looks really heavy.. how much is the weight approximately?
0,32 kg
the bicycle mount i use for my experia
if you need something advanced this one is good too, tested it, xperia fits into it the case is waterresistant its from ortlieb if you need one you can contact me we own a bicycle store and sell both models i prefer the first one cause i never go biking when it rains and i'm able to use the touchscreen while this is not possible with the ortlieb case
I can back up how AWESOME the OtterBox has been for me, I've had a couple for my work when I was a bike courier.
As a bike courier I would go through hell and back, several times a day! Never ever ever had water troubles, or even shock damage! And I've been run over by cars, trucks, buses more often than I've had hot meals! No problem, get up and brush myself off and it is still working fine! Not even a crack in the case.
The case is very lightweight, adds nothing really to the weight... just bulk. I'd strongly recommend not getting the one linked to earlier.
Get the smallest you can, I've used this:
otterbox.com/pda-cases/1600-series/1600-gps-cases/ (can't post links as a new member, but you know what to do.... ctrl-c ctrl-l ctrl-v enter)
(although I was using a PDA about double the size of the Xperia X1, and I still had heaps of space. Good for keeping the spare battery then packing in the rest of the space with sponge cushioning to keep it safe from crashes)
I'd wear it on a medium length single loop over my shoulder and across my chest, then clip the case to it. Would just hang there out of the way until I decide to flick it up with my hand to look at it.

Case for mountain biking ?

Bought my streak a couple days ago and im absolutely loving it ! The only problem for me is i like to take my phone mountain biking so i can take photos, track my route, top speed, and of course for emergencies. However, with the streak being so big and expensive im finding it difficult to bring it with me :-(.
Usually id just plonk it in my backpocket or backpack but with the streak i just dont want to risk it getting damaged or lost. I've been looking through saddle bags which go under your seat but i dont fancy the velcro straps, does anyone have any experience with these things ? Are they likely to fall off ? Im just a little worried with the bumps and jumps the velcro might loosen and fall off.
Im looking at something like this http://www.woollyhatshop.com/Access...Velcro-Mountain-Bike-Saddle-Bag/prod_209.html
mine lives in a hardshell sunglasses case in my rucksack when I'm out mtbing, and gets taken out when I need it, was a cheap case that came with some glasses from aldi, but works ok.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12908532&postcount=5
Thanks for the links. For now i've just bought a cheap case of amazon which should allow me to leave the streak safely in my rucksack ... Ill still keep a look out for a smallish saddle case though since i hate having to go in my rucksack for the phone.

Mountain Bike Mount

Have any of you found a good mount for our mountain bikes? I saw a few on amazon, but I thought I'd check here first. What I'm looking to do is have AllTrails running infront of me while riding.
I haven't found anything that I really like. I'm using a NiteIze strap by the stem for now, but the 5X with a case is pushing it's stretching capabilities. I was thinking about trying the quadlock but I don't think I will like the extra bulk added by the lock. I've seen that some guys use the Ram X mount on their motorcycles but I'ts kind of bulky It doesn't feel secure enough to me if you aren't riding smoothly. I've just kept it in my car and not on my dualsport/dirtbike or my mountain bike.
