Jelly Bean Multi-User and CM10.1 Themes crash

Hi all,
I am running the PAC-ROM v22.1.0 on my Galaxy S (i9000).
I setup 2 users: my daughter's and mine.
Everything works like a charm until I try to apply a theme from the market.
I tried:
HoloGlass
Touchwiz 4.5
Touchwiz 5.0 free
Now, as soon as I try to switch to my daughter's account, all my processes start to Force Close and I need to restart the phone.
I tried to delete my daughter's account, apply the theme, and re-create the account. Unfortunately, as soon as I click on "Add a user" the phone crashes.
Anyone already experienced this ?
This thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2063195&highlight=theme tells about \res\values\integers.xml in framework-res.apk where he sets the max number of users, but I could not find this integers.xml file on my phone...
Any help is welcome

Thanks. I have no write permission on the dev forum. But you make me realize I could send him a PM.
Note that the ROM works like a charm with multiple user... until I try to apply a CM10.1 theme.
Yep, the link I gave is not specifically talking about i9000, but I was hoping this could give some hints.

I finally tried several other JB Roms with multi user support. They all seem to behave the same: I can switch users until I install a theme. Once a theme is installed, trying to switch to another user either reboots the phone, or it starts on the other account with a bunch of force close, making the phone unusable, and ultimately need to reboot...
I can't find any solution on the web... :crying: Someone ?

2 things. the themes in he thread you quote relate pretty much to that rom, so unless you are running that rom they probably won't work/won't work well. most themes are installed via a zip file, which pretty much means you need custom recovery, which requires unlocked bootloader.
if you are stock and want to stay that way, your best option is to look for themes on google play store. these themes install as programs (apks) so root might not be essential. check the requirements in each app to make sure.

Cyanogen OS 12 Apps

I am going to be posting some things pulled from the Cyanogen OS 12 OTA if anyone is interested.

Now some of these might be the same apps that are included in the latest CM12 nightlies but I'm not sure. Been on BlissPop since the Alpha days and refuse to flash anything else so you'll have to figure out the versions yourself. I literally flashed this just to pull these things for anyone interested. Now I'm back on BlissPop. ?

Hexo is the only one I found.

Oh, I thought there might be more as shown in the screen shots on their site. No other themes from Cyanogen Inc. that can be downloaded from their store?

Honestly, I didn't really take the time to dig that deep, I literally flashed it, pulled some stuff, uploaded it, posted links, etc.
I'm now back on BlissPop and can confirm that the new Theme Chooser (2.0) doesn't work on 5.1. I don't know if it's cause COS12 is based off of 5.0.2 or what cause I know since all ROMS are basically CM based, that shouldn't be an issue.
Unless a dev on here can work their magic and take a look at it.

They are in the Hexo theme. Just download it, install it, find it in the themes section in settings, check the fonts check box, and click apply. You don't even have to use other parts of the theme if you don't want to.

If anyone knows how to make the boot animation into an apk file so that we can use it with the Theme manager, feel free to do so and post it here. Hopefully @_moelle can maybe take a look at it?

I'm trying to figure out how to make the theme stick (understanding it won't survive a reboot), without switching back to default after the 3 minute trial.
I'm unclear on when to move the json file, but I've tried all possibilities.
Steps:
Install apk with package installer
Apply theme package thru theme store
Move json file
Reboot
[Still goes back to default theme]
[Theme is visible in store without "trial" but can't select it]
Also tried:

Apply theme thru theme store

I've also left the json file as is, installed the trial, tried to purchase but get the error that it's not available for purchase.

I can not verify if Xposed is influencing or not but I suggest the following ...
a) Install APK
b) Don't move a finger until you receive a toast saying "Installation Completed"
c) Cut json from trialjson and paste it to userjson
d) Boot (just a Hot Rebbot)
e) Apply the theme
f) Be xtremely happy :laugh:
Please let me know if it worked.
We shall make it happen !!!

Thank you very much for the speedy reply! No joy yet...I'm always left with the theme visible in My Themes with no "trial" badge but I'm unable to select it.
Steps:
I deleted the theme first and started completely from scratch, following your steps above, exactly.
I also tried disabling all xposed modules from within the installer. Reboot. Then follow your steps. Same result.
I also tried disabling xposed framework altogether via flashing the uninstaller zip in recovery. Wipe cache/dalvik. Then followed your steps. Also same result....nothing happens when trying to select the theme in the theme store.

Sorry ... it was my mistake. I'm still ridding a (S7 - 2) device and it doesn't presents the same detail you are having and, as so, I've forgotten to mention ...

b.2) Delete folder /data/overlay/preferences

where to find themes now ?

I have reset my phone (cause i cant find a android 7 rom without errors) and now i cant login with cyanogen os account (makes sense i guess) to download themes, so how do i get new themes on my phone ?

However,the themes in Cos 13 theme chooser(online section) were far more dope..there has to be a workaround(or mirrors) to use them now...
