Someone could develop a Rom based on G3 for our LG LG L90?
All the beginning of custom ROMs are made using a base, in our case cm11 its the referencial base to other developers. So think g3 based ROM is almost impossible.

Just a rumor, maybe fake for l90...(actually l90 not mentioned directly)
Just the news of ux ui to mid/low ranger..

I don't think that LG would do that... Would be awesome, but still... Meh.
Its gonna happen in 2015. Any phone released in 2nd half of 2014 will get it. Also, look up on google "lg g3 apps apk" and you will find updates on XDA for things like the ui, launcher, and messenger

Where can i find the standard LG apps. I like some custom roms but i really liked the SNS widget (social feeds) and the LG keyboard (because of the tilt to side function)
Here is SNS.apk, the keyboard does not work on most of the custom roms.

Juz need to ask. I really like the SNS too but im juz assuming that it consumes battery more than standard twitter n fb 4android. Is my assumption true or not? Any opinion? Thanks!

That might be so. Just make sure the refresh rate is not at 15 mins. Mine is off, just refresh manually.

Even using standard fb or twitter i also set to manual refresh.. so i guess it shud be the same rite? I mean in term of battery consumption? Coz everytime i see 'running proccess' sns is there,thats why i assume it eat up juices.

form my experience, yes it does use a lot more power then FB/Twitters original apps/widgets

i've frozen SNS.apk with Titanium
i didnt install FB/Twitter, i just use the FB/Twitter widgets in LauncherProPlus
those take the least juice

I recommend mVideoPlayer or QQPlayer, both look pretty good and play every filetype

So anybody got any luck with the SNS.apk on any particular custom ROM(s)? If so can you please tell me which ROM(s)?
That app is very useful for me coz it can natively connect to FB or Twitter without the use of VPN and being in China, this is a big plus.

None of them work, including the official FB and Twitter apps.
I was wondering , if it’s possible to install facebook app as long as I already have facebook for lg app. Does Facebook app replace Facebook for LG app or they coexist? Does this may lead to conflicts?
You can install them side by side, no conflicts, or you can remove the LG version through Titanium Backup if you want.

Hey I found a possible solution for the memory management problem that exists in moto g 2014.. I'm not rooted to I couldn't test it myself.. So can anybody test this solution and confirm that it works or not?

In a quick test it feels like having more RAM... Apps are not closing in multi task.... Of course needs more testing...

I am rooted in KitKat and tried the app. Apps still close and ram left always stays above 220-230. Its like I have not bought a phone with 1gb but 768 mb ram.

Its not an issue if you don't multitask. It may be if you like to switch between different apps.

I never noticed anything from this issue! I read about it a lot though. No memory problems here! (until now).

All 2nd gen phones have this problem. If you don't have too many apps installed that runs in the background or if you don't multi task, it may not be a problem for you.
Okay I tried the app and put the settings to aggressive and I can confirm that it works. Also, I don't think it's placebo

It wasn't working for me. Can you try to open multiple apps and see if free ram ever goes below 100 mb

Yeah well earlier the RAM never used to go below 200mb, but now it reaches the lower 100s,110-120. So I'd say that's an improvement

Are you able to multi-task efficiently?
Please can you try opening a browser and then open up your camera and click one or two pics and then go back to your browser and see whether it reloads or not?

Hmm I guess you're right. There still is a problem. The browser automatically did have to reload the site I opened up before clicking the pictures.

Me to but Motorola should take full responsibility and tell us what is going on with g2
Almost there
I used it for some hours.... it really improved multitasking, less launcher redraws and less app killing. But it isn't a miracle, sorry to say.
Before Moto G 2, I had a Moto G 1, and it has better memory magement.
And before that, I had a Razr D1 (Motorola 1Gb ram, single core, Jelly bean) and it was even better for multitasking....
Really disappointed here.... I wont recommend Moto G anymore,,,,
I came from galaxy s2 and I'm disappointed with multitasking. I will wait for lolipop update but if nothing will change I will sell that phone and buy Lumia because I'm tired to flash custom roms.

I believe you need the LG framework for it to work on non LG phones.
I had it on my Note3 and loved it. Im sure one of the great developers on xda will eventually port it.

I used the G3 keyboard at first then I realized it was terrible so I switched to Googles keyboard. So I would have to agree with this.
Go into the main apps section on here and there is a lollipop keyboard with the numbers up top that works great
Funny. I always hated the lg g3 keyboard because I always hit the period button instead of the space bar so I used google keyboard.

I think he meant like capture plus on the G2 and G3 using the Lg browser. It had an option to catch entire scrollable webpages. I thought they were integrating it into chrome, but can't find it.
