any help?

I'm not sure what could cause that problem. I would boot into recovery or fastboot to see if the problem still exists. If it does, this would lead me to believe that it is a hardware issue. To be sure, try installing a different ROM.

It is happening in recovery mode as well.

I'm tempted to say it's a hardware issue since it appears in Recovery too.
Did you ever open up your phone to replace the battery?

yup, 2 months ago.

Maybe open it up and re-seat the cables?

did you get any moisture in there? or drop your phone? it's obviously a hardware issue if it shows up in recovery too. Looks like you busted the lcd display somehow. You'll probably need to buy a new screen.

Definitely a hardware issue. Sorry man.

You can use swappa as an avenue to sell it if you don't want to deal with personal information being given through messaging on here.

[Q] how do you reboot after flashing from the SD?

In fact, after it says it has flashed with success i can only resort to opening the battery cover and reset with the red button...since i am cooking a rom - i don't want to do it since the battery cover will become eventually loose!
...how do you to reboot it ?
simply, by making a hole in the battery cover

indeed! cooking roms and testing the various installs/lite/languages we would need a USB reboot system controlled by foot, like in automated manufacturing!
Type with your feet

It already exists, but you will have to put your laptop on the floor and install EveryWAN Remote Support (free software), which can reboot your device through USB cable, then learn to type with your feet ...

Please help idk what is wrong with screen!!!

Hello,
I have broken the LCD before and it looked like this.....http://www.ppctechs.com/AT-T-Tilt_974/repairs/LCD-Touchscreen-Repair-Service_1025-373.htm
So I fixed the lcd and everything was good untill today....
I droped the phone from about 2 feet and the screen isnt cracked but everything is very bright now. I took 2 pictures below but its hard to see becuase well its hard to see on the phone. everything still works. I can still make calls and use it but its just very bright almost no color.
Does anyone know if it can be something loose? do i just need a digitizer? or do I have to go and buy the whole lcd/ digitizer combo again?
thanks so much

Im runing a att tilt with the jan 3 hyper dragon rom.
It looks like the connection isnt seated properly. You may want to take it back apart and make sure its tightly seated. Dropping it may have jarred the connection loose.
This phone is a new htc i got never been opened... but i just opened it right now and disconnected everything and re connected, and it still like that...
anyone else have any other ideas or advice,
thanks for ur input to previous poster

Your not alone... there are other threads with pictures just like this one.
Some seem to be a hardware defect, so if its brand new, that's probably the case.
its actually about 2 years old.
it was used for about 4 months, then put away for a year. then i just started to use it again in December 08
then just today =[
so i dont mind i guess i can buy a new lcd screen and change it, ill keep searching around here
if anyone know thats its a forsure fix ill do it. thanks again for everyones help and suppoRT
I was referring to the LCD Ribbon that connects the LCD TO THE MOTHERBOARD. Try simply taking it apart and checking that ribbon before you go order a new lcd ........

basicly what you see there is whats underneath the 5 buttons on the bottom on the HD2. Atached to that should be whats underneath the rest of the HD2 (a large curcit board so to speak) FUBAR in my opinion.
IM RIGHT THERE WITH YOU BRO!!!
So sorry so sorry.
I know it sucks. I know.

I have suffered same thing before. I had to buy hd2 for parts just to replace!
It's very easy to try and remove mainboard without lifting latch for terminal. I had already taken mine apart three times before I forgot about it on fourth try and I heard a "pop"...I **** my pants, cried and got to looking to buy one for replacement parts.
I am currently looking to buy hd2's so let me know if you want to part with it.

Hardware fault?

I keep getting these mhl wakelocks that never used to happen, I changed back to a rom I knew this never happened on but guess what? It is happening! Dmesg says mhl usb detected over and over and I'm getting no deep sleep at all. Is my usb port shot?

Well on every ROM I'm getting output for mhl issues in dmesg, sometimes its shown as "suspend_backoff", I get other strange behavior on cm ROMs too such as screen refusing to sleep and charging lights staying on. I'll get some screenies when I have some good stats, I'm sure its hardware because I'm alone in this, and it happens even before I restore any apps

Solved, I needed to bend the middle pins back up to the centre, I think they were getting interference from the outer metal of my usb

[Q] Screen problem

hi, everyone
I just bought a new moto g2 yesterday. I found there are some stripes on the screen (attached files). After checking under a microscope, I think it is some kind of lamp(?).
Is this appear in your phone? is it normal or not. At least, this is not happened with my previous phone or my friends' .
Thanks for your help.

Never noticed them on mine. Are they visible during Screen ON time? If yes then better get a replacement just to be safe.

yes, they are visible when screen is on, but not as strong as when it is off. today the salesman told me it is always the same with moto g 2nd, but I don't trust him. so I come here to ask you guys. Thanks a lot.
Yea you should definitely get it replaced!
