[Q] How to flash MIUI ROM on my Samsung Galaxy Note N7000, running CM11,KitKat - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone,
I am usnig Samsung Galaxy Note N7000, running CyanogenMod 11 latest nightly, Android 4.4.4.
I want to try MIUI ROM. But in the entire MIUI thread I havent been able to find any thread talking about how to Flash MIUI ROM on devices already running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
So can someone please guide me how flash my mobile with MIUI ROM.

Why should there be countless instructions for every version of all available Roms?
Simply follow the installation instructions given by the owner:
Installation:
- Download latest PhilZ N7000 kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1901191
- Make a Backup of your current rom
- Flash it
- Reboot recovery
- Make a Fullwipe (dont forget to wipe /preload )
- install the rom

Thanks for speaking out something. But my question was, my mobile is already running on KitKat (Android 4.4.4) but the official developer version of MIUI for Galaxy Note N7000 is still on "Author: MIUI Official Team and Version: 3.2.22 (V4)" which is on Jellybean. So its actually downgrading. And before Installing KitKat I remember that there is a change how KitKat worked compared to Jellybean. So wont there be a different procedure while downgrading from KitKat to Jellybean??
Which is what I am unable to understand. So do tell me if there is a procedure to follow or any points to remember while downgrading from KitKat CM11 to Jellybean MIUI.

Q&A about proper path from stock to CM 10.1

Hi everyone.
About Phone
=========
Model: GT-S5830T
Android Version: 2.3.4
Baseband version: S5830TDCKP5
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-perf-CL583204 [email protected] #1
I've got a Galaxy Ace running whatever Samsung put on it when they sold it, updated when possible. I'd like to install CM 10.1.
Just got finished reading both of these guides.
First, the sticky on rooting / flashing the galaxy ace here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034145
Then, the guide for installing CM 10.1 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2212438
Everything makes sense and I'm ready to get started, but then I saw this sentence in the rooting / flashing guide:
If you want to upgrade to newer version then Gingerbread I suggest you to make full procedure, not only flash recovery.

Does that mean that this is not the guide to follow first? If not, can you point me to a better tutorial?
Thanks for your time.

Root and install CWM 5.0.2.6. Fixed that's all that you need (do a backup just in case) and then flash CM rom
I flashed CM when I was in android 2.3.5. and no prob in fact I'm still using 2.3.5. XDDDD AFAIK you don't need any Samy rom to flash CM but several devs advice you to update your android version
I think T = as Gt-s5830 and yes it's the same according Callmeventus thread

Follow this tutorial here before installing cm
You have to install twrp recovery from maclaw
And we don't need to update anything for installing a rom and say hi for rooting
I just give you a hint of what you need, there are lots of guides on this forum just search for them and read carefully
First of all you must know that installing custom ROMs is potentially dangerous, it may brick your phone and it voids your warranty, you do it at your own risk.
Make sure your phone is supported by the software you're going to install, S3 mini aren't all equal, check for model number.
Before installing CM 11 you should install a custom recovery (TWRP from maclaw.pl is recommended for installing kitkat), than you can do a nandroid backup and restore it if something goes wrong, and install custom ROMs very easily.
To flash the custom recovery you need odin in windows (you can find it on maclaw.pl download page) or heimdall in linux. About odin there are lots of tutorials, just search for them, but if you need help with heimdall just ask for it
Maclaw has great instructions too on their download page - be sure to download their ODIN version to flash with Odin.
If you google "how to flash custom rom with odin" you can get detailed instructions with pictures, I found this made me a bit more confident with what the hell I was doing
CM11 was great but I found Carbon with CPU management options gave me better battery life :good:

You have to update via TWRP, because CM11 doesn´t official for us.

Yes CM11 is unofficial, however you can install any maclaw ROM using the most recent CWM firmware.

[Q] Interested in changing from 4.4.2 (ARHD) to 4.2.2 (Miui V5)

Hey guys,
I don't know the answer for sure and although I have a twrp backup I still want to avoid having un-necessary problems.. If I'm using right now ARHD 51, android 4.4.2, BulletProof 4.4.2 kernel and Twrp 2.6.3 and I wanna go for MIUI V5 which is android 4.2.2. Miui requires TWRP 2.6.0 or something like that to work, what are the stages that I have to do now?
I come from the Galaxy S I9000 and there I had to flash first stock or stock based 4.2.2 rom before flashing miui because of the different android versions and I want to know if its the same here? Can I just flash the twrp, 4.2.2 kernel and wipe and flash the miui rom? Or do I have to install some stock 4.2.2 rom first?
Thanks!

make sure to take backup before doing all this
you can try to flash MIUI v5 with TWRP 2.6.3.3, i think it will work
if not use TWRP 2.6.3.0

Hi there,
to revert back to jellybean 4.x, you must do a few steps:
1. You would need to backup your apps and data
2. Factory reset and wipe dalvik and cache partitions
3. Download the Jellybean 4.x rom which matches with the i9000
4. Make sure you install the right kernel (in this case, this will be for jellybean android)
5. Install you new rom and thats how you revert back to Jellybean Android
May I please ask what version number of android do you want to revert back to?
Hope this helps

cyanogenmod 7.2
I try this steps its not successful
KitKat can revert to Jelly Bean Using Odin I think.
1) Backup DATA/ETC
2) Download Odin And Gingerbread Firmwares/CFROOT
3) Flash With Odin.
4) Download the ROM you want to flash
5) Flash it.
Once when you flashed a newer Android Version and you wanted to revert, you need to restart from the beginning (Gingerbread).
Sorry but I got confused with how you said you wanted to revert to jelly bean. Cyanogenmod 7.2 is gingerbread not jelly bean. You will need to find a kernel for gingerbread android then. (2.3.x) There is a difference beteween cyanogenmod 10 and cyanogenmod 7.2.
If you want Jelly Bean (4.1.2, 4.2.2, 4.3.1) then follow gsstudios' first set of instructions
If you want CM7.2 (Gingerbread 2.3.7) follow amerpeacemaster's

[Q] Problem with Galaxy Note GT-N70000 with version XXLRK

Hello guys,
I have a Galaxy Note GT N7000 and i want to root it. My previous phone was an iPhone so i used to work with IOS for the jailbreak... , android is something new for me. I read a lot of tutoriels concerning this but i have always issues with my version which is XXLRK (android 4.0.4) and the process bug on " E:signature vérification failed. " i want to root the phone with the last version of C-ROM based on 4.4.4 . Could someone give me links to update my kernel, the file to root, and the CWM so that i can install the C-ROM 4.4.4.
Sorry if there is some mistakes, english is not my first language. don't forget, my version is XXLRK and thank you guys
Search for Philz kernel for 4.0.4 and install it using recovery. This will give you cwm. But you will need a newer version of cwm to flash kk. So install raw kernel .. Phone will not boot into android after installing the new kernel. But you will get a new recovery and flash the kk ROM and gapps.
