Does Rogers HTC One work on T-Mobile LTE/4G network - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an unlocked HTC One from Rogers (Canada). I would like to know if it works on T-Mobile LTE/4G network? I'm not sure how to find the LTE bands supported on my phone.
TIA

You can use this comparison chart of HTC One variants. You just need to know your MID (chart OEM ID).

I'm not talking about WiFi.
Look at the sticker on the box, near the IMEI code.

Ha ha, sorry, my bad......801n is mine.
Mine is Silver and it says 801n
AW: [Q] 801e or 801n
Have a 801n too. (silver, o2 germany)
I think the difference is LTE.
n=LTE
e=no LTE
Can someone confirm this?

From the website http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=4209&c=htc_one_801e_32gb_htc_m7 and http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=4248&c=htc_one_801n_32gb_htc_m7
It seems the 801e doesn't have LTE support and only 3G.
801n has both 3G and LTE support.
Hope it helps.
If the above info on pdadb are correct. That only means there's 3 types of HTC One.
1. LTE version
2. HSPA+ version
3. CDMA version
So does that mean the LTE version is a world phone?
And this here list is compatible in just the 801n model?
LTE:
EU: 800/1800/2600 MHz
US (AT&T): 700/850/AWS/1900 MHz
US (TMO): 700/AWS MHz
US (Sprint): 1900 MHz
Asia: 1800/2600 Mhz
I have the 801n, in the USA on ATT - HSDPA works, but no LTE. So i am guessing the PDADB info is wrong. I am guessing this is the European model and does not have US LTE bands.

Indeed. US hasn't released the HTC One yet. But just keep it first. When the US version is available already just flash a US version RUU and it should then support US LTE.

??????
Unless the EMEA LTE and ATT LTE versions have the same SKU with only a software block of radio bands, that isn't happening.
RUU flashes do not magically add radio bands that aren't supported by the phone. All they might be able to do is unblock the radio bands that are hidden.
Mine is a 801N also - 32gig silver model - Ireland.
Even though LTE isnt released in ireland yet looks like my phone is able for it
801e, is the Taiwan version also knows as M7_U
801n is the European version which is the M7_UL.
Both version support LTE just different bands.
Is there a way to check to model number on the phone itself?

As far as I am concerened you shouldn't post your IMEI number online as people can do stuff with it. Just a heads up.

I got my M7 from O2 store . Is the 801n version but no option for LTE. In the bands have only 3 options : GSM/WCDM,GSM, WCDMA. No option for LTE. Also my CID is 02_001. Could be that bloody O2 modified the ROM and disabled LTE?!
Weird phone
Ok, on my phone I have sticker saying PN071000 and 801n. . In recovery says M7_UL (LTE version).
However, went onto HTC's check site and got this :
Depending on your query to provide the IMEI number information is:
Model: HTC One (801e)
Release date: 2013/06/24
Thank you for your continued support for HTC, in order to improve the quality of our services,
Soo... confused as hell!!! This somehow explains why I don't have LTE option in Settings under Network mode...
How can this be real? Recovery & stickers are saying opposite as HTC site... Could somehow the phone be messed (very unlikely as have it always with me)???
UPDATE: Just SIM unlocked my M7 and the LTE option appeard. So it's O2's "management" which disabled LTE. But still unsure about various results , what model I realy have (see above)...
Hi everyone,
I'm also terribly confused about this and i'm glad i found a thread concerning this issue. I do not have my HTC One box anymore. How would i go about to verify if it's 801n or 801e and if LTE is available, etc, etc. Please guide this newbie. I just bought my phone a couple of days ago and i want to confirm what hardware i bought exactly. I initially thought all hardware was same for HTC One. :silly:
I have just been in contact with HTC via live chat and the 801n is 4g ready that was what I was told....

[Q] Does the HTC One support wind mobile?

I want to get the HTC One but apparently it does not support my carrier bands. It appears that the t-mobile version of htc one has the required 1700 band but I am not too sure if I am doing this right. Basically does the t-mobile version of htc one work with wind? (wind apparently supports only the aws band, the full FAQ on wind's website:
There are a few criteria for bringing your own unlocked phone with you to WIND:
a) Must be compatible with our network. The WIND Mobile network uses a frequency called AWS, with bands 1700/2100.
b) Must NOT be locked to another carrier
c) Phones compatible with the U.S. T-Mobile network often work with WIND)
If not, are there any versions of the one that do? I don't really feel like going all the way over to the us to get the phone but if there are no other alternatives, I guess I'll just have to do it. Thanks.
Anyone? A simple yes or no would be ok for me.
I've wind in italy, i don't know if is the same, but for me works fine...

Probably not. Here is an article with all the information on the bands the Sprint HTC One has. I'm guessing your band for 3G is not on it and therefore you are stuck to EDGE data only.
Edit: Upon further searching I found that Claro in the DR uses UMTS/HSDPA on 850mhz. HTC claims S/HSDPA on 1900/2100mhz on the Sprint VAriant.

M7 Switching From T-mobile to Verizon

Hello,
I have a T-mobile HTC ONE M7, I'm planing to switch to Verizon, Will I be able to get LTE/4G?
Is my Tmo M7 supported at all by Verizon? What network will I be able to connect to?
Is there any way to make my phone support all or some of Verizon's bands? A ROM or a Radio!! Maybe something else!!
I have tried to find this info, but I couldn't. The only thing I found is that both T-mobile and Verizon use the 1900 band for LTE!!
Please if you know anything about this let me know
Thank you

T-Mobile is a GSM phone which doesn't have any CDMA bands, so you will surely limit yourself on their network. Also, T-Mobile and Verizon have different partition tables so the firmware and roms are not compatible. If you know someone on the Verizon network, ask them if you could use their SIM card to see what type of service you get with the TMO phone. Here is comparison chart of the various HTC One's, check out the Secondary Cellular Phone.

Like said above, TMO htc one use GSM bands and Verizon use CDMA bands. Your phone also need a MEID # (the equivalent of the EMEI for CDMA network) which you don't have on a GSM HTC One (manufacturer-assigned). And afaik, Verizon will not accept non-verizon phone on their network. Your best choice if you want to quit TMO is to choose another GSM carrier (AT&T for example). Your phone also must be sim-unlocked to change carrier.

Thanks guys for the replies, I thought there might be some way to change bands :cyclops: I'm not an expert lol
Looks like I will be switching to ATT

If you have an HTC One M8 then you will get a better response in the M8 forum this is for the M7.
Have you checked the APN on your phone versus Telsra APN?
Check to see if the Telstra variant has the same bands as your variant, if your phone doesn't have the same bands then that could be your issue.
