Is Note 4 worthy as an upgraded version of Note 3 - Galaxy Note 4 General

Dear XDAs.
Do you really feel that Note 4 is really worth to call as an upgrade from Note 3.
Personally I fear not. It is just another flavor of Note 3 and would like to call it Note 3 Camera Version. But surely not as an Successor to Note 3.
How do you see it.? Lets discuss here.

No it isn't and for that they will not see my money for the first time in since the original galaxy
I had the galaxy s, s2, note, note 2, note 3 but I will skip to note 5 or any other

Not for my money, my Note 3 will serve me well into 2015. Not considering software enhancements, the Note 4 is an incremental evolution (display, camera) slightly longer (not interested). My Note 3 was a considerable bump from my beloved Note 2. I've got plenty of performance, capacity, features to last.

Well considering the rear speaker on my Note 2 sounded much better (louder, fuller) than my Note 3, I'd say if they could use the same formula..I'm game!
That was one of the big disappointments with my Note 3, the speaker was pretty mediocre. Tinny and the volume was just not loud enough compared to the Note 2.

No.
Maybe if it had 4GB of RAM and a 4000mAh, but not this.

Let's see.
Same size screen..yep
Larger device overall..yep
Heavier..yep
USB 3.0...nope
Samsung what were you thinking when you built this...oh wait... You weren't thinking obviously!
Not worth getting...if anything the n4 in some ways went backwards from the N3..

Yeah 4gb of ram with 64bit ..4000mAh would be nice but I think 3800mah lol

Overall I think its a good upgrade but I wish it had the speaker in the same place as the note 3 and atleast a 3400mah battery.

I entered Samsung world from S1, the s2 and s3 and then note 2 and 3. Always had no hesitation to upgrade but this is first time ever I won't upgrade. Samsung has not given me anything special to consider. The reason I am whining on water resistant is that I always felt that phones should have it and was very happy to see it in S5. Samsung was mad to leave it. I don't care about camera as I already have Nikon D7000.
Even if i have to buy, i will buy note edge but that too after 6 months.

I would say Yes, this is a worth upgraded version of Note 3, this is a perfect KitKat device. But this is NOT worthy of being called Note 4!! Android L is right around the corner, and a 64bit+4GB Ram would've been flagship for that flavor... Now somebody else will get that spot.

I'm relieved the speaker is rear firing - hell yeah, hopefully it'll give the sound some more bottom than the Note 3, just like it does on my old Note 2..
Also - have they dropped the scrapbook feature? Hope not, was actually useful...

such difference much wow
i think the only exciting thing is the 16mp ois cam

Alright guys I'm either going up to best buy tomorrow and getting the note 3 for 99 bucks or I'll wait and get the note 4. I am so pissed because I waited and entire effing year for a water resistant note.
I'm posting here because I know a lot of you have the note 3.
First three to reply with a recommendation will make my decision. Thanks in advance!!!

I dont know!!
i was really excited about this phone for over 2 months but now when i see it I'm in love with the design but whats up with the
rear speaker?? i mean why would they do that?? the most thing i like about the note 3 from the entire galaxy line was the bottom
speaker the sound was amazing but bringing it back to the rear i mean that's just a step back for me. i love the entire galaxy line
I've used most of the galaxy devices but the Only thing i hated was the rear speaker. I wish they would find a better place for the
speaker!!!!

Exactly! This is the only thing that make me so sad today. I dont know what to do now. I hate back firing speaker.

my two biggest disappointments were battery and speaker placement
The speaker on the back I think has something to do with the two mics on the bottom.
As for the battery I would like to know the excuse for that.
I mean since the Note to Note 2 and S3 to S4, the battery increase on samsung phones is just getting smaller.

as an old note 3 user its realy a big improvement in everyway (note 2 to note 3 improvement was smaller for me). and bigger screen not realy a innovation i hope they wont bring bigger screen but lesser bezzels i just hate it espacially on a big phone.
Bigger screen, are you for real?
The note 4 the limit in size. I bought it because for the Stylus as My LG G3 was huge but quite useless as a phablet without the Stylus but to make the note 4 larger ? No it will be too big
I hope not, If the Nexus had a 5.7in screen max then I prob would have waited for it but the 6in pushed me to the Note 4.

Speaker is way better than note 3. You dont feel any weight difference and note 3 seems a cheap phone near it really big improvement in quality. Only usb 2.0 is worse which i never used on note 3 i take fast charge over it anyway. And asymetric battery shape made me laugh
Those points were poor at best
Sounds like someone is trying to convince themselves to stay on the Note 3. I came from the Note 3 and after two weeks my only ***** is FTP is gone from My Files and you can't long-press with the S Pen to take a screen shot - both I consider trivial in the greater scheme of things. Everything else ranges from better to significantly better. And seriously, if you're reduced to talking about the shape of the battery which no one sees as a flaw you're really reaching.
As for size, not everyone wants to hold a book to their head for calls; especially to gain .2" of display size.
Thanks for the laughs op!

"We all know"?
In your opinion, but not in mine.
If I had to pick the most disappointing Note, in my opinion it was the Note 3. That's not to say that I didn't like my Note 3, just that it didn't seem much of a leap from the Note 2, and didn't feel as nice in the hand as any of the other Notes.
Regards,
Dave
I love my note 4, not saying the note 3 was bad but friends bought it and I didn't there were reasons for that, and that kinda sums it up. The note 4 is a jump forward in spec and capability
Note 4 is a way better phone. Better screen, better battery life, more quality. 6 inch on a Note would be a big big mistake
I actually waiting on 5.9" or 6" in Note. Please Samsung bring it on Note 5.

Last time a lot people thought 5.3" too big, then 5.5" is big. Now people thought 6" too big.
It never is too big once you use it.
6" with slim bezel in actual never too big.
I even use Sony Xperia Z Ultra before which is 6.44", frank speak that phone is just too long due to top and bottom too many waste space but it never too big.
With similar design like Nexus 6 or superb slim bezel did by LG, a 6" is never too big.
That G3 wasn't all that and upgraded to the note 4 from it
I think Samsung should stick with 5.7 inches for the main Note series but it would also be a good idea to start a new Note variant at 6-6.3 inches for which I think there exists a niche market. With small bezels it's still pocketable, the larger screen size does more justice to a QHD screen and you have space for a bigger battery.
So far I am not very impressed with the Nexus 6. It's 10.1 mm thick and still has only a 3220 mAh battery. I am sure Samsung could do a better job.

Upgrade from Note 3

Hi I have a Note 3 with me and I got a Note 4 during Cyber monday and I also have a T-Mobile gc for 100 off. Also T-Mobile is buying back my Note 3 for 325. So my cost for the Note 4 is 325 (650-325 Trade in credit) I am confused now as is it worth it to spend the extra money now. Can people who have upgraded from Note 3 to Note 4 comment on this.
A couple of things about me.
Wife has a iphone 6 plus and we take pics with the 6 plus so I can live without a not so gr8 camers.
I dont game at all.
I love the Spen and take notes also browse the web a lot o my phone.
I went from the 3 to 4. The s pen on the 4 is better. I draw etc and it works so much nicer. I also like the upgraded software for the pen.
sent from my GN4 N910T 4.4.4 stock rooted
That's good to know, I don't draw but I like to write with the pen. other than that how is the rest. The writing is really nice on the Note 3 also. Overall how is tue performance of Note 4 805 processor?
Another thing is we are also going to get 64 bit processor Soon- And the Note 5 next year will definitely have 64 bit processor. So I am really confused is it worth while to wait or upgrade and more over my Note 3 is in good condition.
Well all I can say is everything I do feels faster. Chromecast video play better. I do a mix of reading, watching videos, games, drawing, writing and replaced my PC with the note line. The Note 4 only has 2 things I don't like. I don't need QHD, it makes on screen elements a little to small in Ingress. The other is they didn't keep the temperature sensor. Other then those two minor issues I can't find issue with it.
I can't wait to see some custom ROMs over the next few months. I have owned a lot of phones and tablets and by far the Note 4 is my favorite. I do use Nova launcher since I can't stand the limits in TW.

Well I know the s6 was supposed to cone with new chip set but they stopped that. Nobody knows what note 5 will come with. 32 works great so is 64 gonna be better. Who knows. Samsung don't even know yet. They still have no real idea till they fix issues with s6 and then maybe focus on 5.0 for note 4 then get back to building note 5
BAD ASS NOTE 4
It's probably an unpopular opinion to have in this forum, but i'm a little disappointed I spent the money to upgrade. It's not to say the Note 4 isn't a great phone, out of anything out there right now it's an easy pick for me, but it is in no way a significant upgrade from the 3. There are some very slight improvements, the screen for one. The screen on the 3 was already stellar, so it's hard to achieve a major upgrade here. The camera gets slightly more detail, although the photos are noisier and have more sharpening added to them (possibly the reason for the added noise?). The battery life is worse, not by a significant amount, but it is still worse for me. I notice no speed difference at all, if one exists it's too slight for my level of perception. The speaker is worse, maybe not in quality, but in placement. The build is nicer, definitely feels higher quality, but this is perception too, the Note 3 was already proven to be quite tough. I keep my phone in a case, so that's ultimately not much of a benefit to me either. The fingerprint scanner I don't use, tried it and it often required multiple swipes, seems easier to just enter a code. The new white/cyan color scheme is atrocious, and I don't know what the hell they were thinking doing this on a phone with an AMOLED screen. Black backgrounds make MUCH more sense, not just to take advantage of high AMOLED contrast, but to conserve battery power also.
All in all, I regret spending $400 to upgrade, but the Note 4 is still an awesome phone. If I had been upgrading from an S4 or a Note 2, something along those lines, I think I would have a lot less regret about the money spent. Ultimately it depends on how much you want the slight improvements.
I came from an s4. Not a note 3.
But, I can tell you this phone is awesome. It's the "it" phone. And, will be for a long time.
Take the money for the note 3 and take the plunge.
My path has been g1and a wing, g2, s2, s3, s4, note 4.
I wouldn't have considered a note up until now because of the lack of development.
But, now. It's awesome. And, we are so lucky it's not locked down like the other carriers.
PS
We won't hate you because you admitted you have an iPhone.

Thanks for taking time to explain it. I do feel same but I also think by upgrading we will have a newer device and also the warranty is now extended to one more year. Look at this this way say if we were to sell our note 3 end of 2015 we would hardly get anything out of it but by selling note 4 at least we get 300 so our upgrade might be only 25..... That is where I have the whole confusion.
My Note 3 battery barely makes it to the end of the day. I am not rooted and don't want to as I use a lot of soft card for cash back. I definitely don't want to loose that.

I had checked. I upgraded from a note 3 to a note 4 a few weeks back actually. That's why I sold mine on craigs list for funnily enough $325 as T Mobile were offering peanuts.
By the way well worth the upgrade. Think of it a refinement at its best.

Good points, resale and warranty are valid reasons to trade up. My comments really focused on the complaints that I have with the phone as most other people have covered the high points, and of course there are many. It's subjective, obviously, but I don't think anything else out there at the moment surpasses it as a complete package.
I never owned a note 3 before. But I do own a 2012 Note 10.1 which I love very much. This Note 4 is even faster than my tablet and it really is impressive with everything I can do with it.

hey guys, i have a galaxy s4 for about one and a half year, and i plan to buy a new phone, the thing is, i really like the NOTE 4 design, battery, big screen, but it has some lags, and i like the S6 fresh ui, its smoother than all samsungs, and the style is really nice, i dont know what to get, i know that when the NOTE 5 comes out it will have the S6 ui and the NOTE 4 battery and screen, but i dont know if i should wait or get something now, because if i wanna get the NOTE 5 i have to wait for more than half a year.....i appreciate your advice....THANKS

I've had all 4 and I cant see myself stopping at the 4
Note 5
Wait for the Note 5. I had a GS4 from launch day in April 2013 up until the Note 4's launch day where I then got the Note 4, I skipped the S5 and waited the extra months and when I got the Note 4 the wait was worth it:
The battery life
Design
Build quality
SPen
Incredible camera
The best display on a mobile
Etc...
I am now happy with my Note 4, the S6 looks like a super downgrade from it,and will get the Note 5 later this year when I open another contract package for my 2nd line.
THANKS guys, i dont mind lack of sd-card as long as i get the 64gb version, but the thing that killing the S6 for me is the screen size, its not small but i have a 5 inch screen now so its not much of an upgrade, and the glass at the back is not the best solution if you drop you device once...maybe i'll check the lg G4 when it comes out....
I have a Note 4 (930F) and i would trade for a S6 edge if someone wants! S6 its the most beautiful phonne ever made

Personally I don't see a major difference between the S6 and Note 4 when it comes to usability other than the fact that the former lacks many of the functions of the latter. Doubt you'd be disappointed with either one. If you prefer VR however I'd suggest waiting for the Note 5 in case it ships with a 4K/UHD screen as the current one isn't sharp enough to eliminate the screen door effect. Highly recommend getting a Gear VR regardless of whichever phone you end up picking.

i do not care about the VR, i want a big screen with smooth ui and good battery, all the time i thought that HTC will come with something special but i was wrong, they used the same device from last year but with a better camera...and lg flex 2 lags a lot with lollipop, its like this year there is no choice but to pick the NOTE 4 if you want a big screen, but i know that samsung is lazy, they wont update the NOTE 4 ui to look like the S6 before the NOTE 5 comes out, and thats an issue...

yeah but its too far...
i've had an S2 and wanted to buy the S5 when it got out, i wasnt really amazed by it. Compared to the S4 it had ip67 waterproof, better camera, bit better screen but nothing extraordinary , and its still made of plastic.
I decided to wait it out then i realised the note series existed and i was sold immediatly when i saw the amazing note 4 it feels so nice, battery is awesome, screen is awesome, just everything is awesome about it.
If i were you, i'd wait for the note 5 if you can, like you said the nice UI from the s6 will come to N5 too + small upgrades like camera etc and maybe/probably even a note5 dualedge, so why not wait?
I had to buy a new one as my S5 was nearly at the end of it's life, i couldn't trust it anymore but if your s4 works fine, wait it out
Okay, so I'm in the same boat. I'm using my gf S3 because my S4 jumped from the shelf (literally) and commited seppuku, thus needing a new phone badly. Can anybody point the pros and cons of the Note 4 vs S6? Thinking of getting the S6 64GB but the lack of SD card and removable battery (as well as glass backpanel) are negatives in my book. Is the performance/no lag and screen quality really improved? Also, Wolfson DAC in exynos is a plus for me, being a musician and listening TONS of music on the go with headphones. Getting the Note 4 exynos isn't an option for me.
Thanks in advance!
It's the usual tech dilemma. Buy now or wait for the next big thing. There will always be a "next big thing" just around the corner. Buy now then kick yourself down the road when the presumed and currently unknown N5 comes out. Or suffer phone envy until it comes out. I passed off my S4 for a Note 4 because I wanted an S-pen. Not sorry I did and don't expect I'll be mad at myself for not waiting.

It's always a good idea to buy a Note 4, provided that you absolutely need the Spen. If you don't, then maybe you should look for something else.
But if you intend to use the Spen extensively, then Note 4 looks even better than the Note 5. For a relatively affordable price, you get replaceable battery, memory slot and you can install a Note 5 rom, making it absolutely the same in the software sector. The Note 5 has a much more capable hardware on paper, but probably you won't notice that in everyday use and in most situtations.
The deciding factor is the Spen. Do you need it? If yes, get it. If you don't, look for something else.

thanks guys,
I am little confused with note4 and moto x style...I was using note 2 and not 3 before then I shifted to one plus 2.
I thougt without sd card I will be able to manage but I guess its quite difficult thats why I want to buy a phone with sd card. Moto x style is good one with lowr price also but its not having OIS and camera is not so good in low light conditions.
How is note 4 camera. Do you guys recommend to buy note 4?
Note 4 is the best phone I have ever owned it's still competing with today's flagship especially with root and unlocked bootloader the battery is amazing camera is high quality and I have never ran out of space with a 128gb SD card and 32gb on board memory I would suggest if you get the note 4 get the snapdragon variant. But like other have said if you don't use the spen you can get a on paper better phone with the same price range, but that note 4 amoled screen is very hard to compare to.

Well, without spen also I am not able to find any phone within same price range which is as good as note 4.
Note 4 screen --resoultion + size
removable battery,
sd card
infra red
3 GB ram
CAMERA (OIS + 16MB)
I am looking for good screen (5.5 to 5.7) 3GB RAM, good camera,sd card support.
Do you know any phone better than note4 in above features.
Post no. #4 is the kind of post why i get angry for the sheer stupidity!
Note 4 at 30k is still the best phone out there, end of story. One Plus 2 nice, but only the camera is better. I myself was confused between X Style and Note 4, ended up with the latter, glad I did. Motorola would win in terms of software only, that's it. For Note 4 you only compromise with the software, TW (it's not that bad anyway), and get quite a lot of other this which other phones can't even dream about providing.
Go for it.

You won't find a more full featured phone in that price range that will compare with a note 4, and the spen is just a topping on the cake that makes it that much more useful. There are a bunch of amazing Roms that ported the note 5 features and cleaned up touchwiz to the point where it actually is a great Ui the only phone I would think of getting instead of a note 4 is the new nexus.

You have mentioned nothing about the Spen. You also had Note 2 and 3, but it was easy for you to shift to OPT.
I think it's obvious that you do not have a great need for the most stand out feature of the Notes. In that case, you should probably go for another phone, there are so many good phones out there these days.

QHD screen
5.7 screen size
removable battery,
sd card
infra red
3 GB ram
CAMERA with OIS
Only phone which came close was moto x style but its camera is not good at all. I like some new phones also Like Zuk ,LE Eco but they dont have sd card.
Moto g plus is good but it is having heating issue plus camera is not good.

Yaaa so? It may be garbage to you I respect what that device is going to offer as i said its my pov i can speak whatever i want. I didnt tell him to trust me i said google it. You can get even better devices. Note 4 surely is great one I myself use note 4 but after what sammy did with 6.0.1 i think note 4 users should use a ported rom to do justice with the hardware. So in comparison to that there are many devices. Htc one me camera just go and look at the camera of that device. Hence my point of view. If you didnt like it then talk respectfully.

Yah man I'm surprised you even mentioned the iPhone in that post that was pretty sad to bring up iPhone in a XDA forum. And I'm pretty sure the YU is a Indian company I'm not sure the band's will work here or at least have issues in the USA or Europe.

Hahaha yupp iPhone sucks i say it too but as i said to the other guy i gave him the choices on price range. And yes YU is an Indian company but I saw people around me using it and it is good enough i mean given the liberty to do anything with the device, few tweaks would make it a good one. And the model was different its going to launch in this week with flagship specs. So he can keep it to compare the models you know.

Don't go for note 4. I've been using for 1 and a half year and I regret it. I don't want to change to note 5 and wait for another year for note 6 or note 7 edge (whatever they want to call it).
P's. It's a Korean company and not an us, europe or whatever your country coming from.
To OP, just go to the shop and try both. Better to try yourself then asking other people.
I just picked up a used N901F for a ludicrously cheap price and I'm going to give it a week or so to see how it compares to my N9005 with daily use before I decide if I keep it or not. The biggest issue will be battery life as the Note 3 rocked in that department! I travel a lot so I need battery life and stability so I'm a little hesitant to go down the custom ROM route (didn't have too many issues with my HTC HD2 in that respect) so I've rooted it stuck TWRP and xposed on, installed most of my old apps and gsam battery monitor to keep an eye on what's going on with the battery.
This is my first time using MM - any apps/features you guys recommend either specifically on the Note 4 or even MM in general?
You can go for Note 4, eyes closed, great phone.
Seriously, that's a very funny post, Yu and other phones compared with Samsung, and that too a Galaxy Note phone. I live in India too, and I too do see ghatiya (rubbish) phones being used nowadays, LeEco, Lyf, Xioami etc., those could never be compared with a Samsung or brands like that at first place! Also just by seeing a phone, that too used by other people, you can't conclude a decision, let alone recommending it to someone!!! Weird!
Note4life only note 6 next!!!

I'd honestly say that the Note 4 is a excellent device even by today's standards. I've seen some retailers sell it at a much lower price than when I purchased mine last year.

Note 4 Appreciation

With the Note5 taking a stepback from the Note 4 WRT removing Memory Card, no IR Blaster, Removable battery etc etc... And now the Note7 having faulty batteries that are smaller than the S7 Edge battery, no IR Blaster etc... I thought I'd start a Note 4 Appreciation thread where we can post what we like about our beloved Note 4.
I honestly thought I was going to get a Note 7, but with the delays, its had me looking and wondering why I want to upgrade when the Note 4 can still hold its own so well.
The Removable Battery has allowed me to extend my Note4's usage life, as I replaced battery at a low cost with another OEM one, and I plan on getting another just in case the S8 Edge and Note 8 disappoint, or until I find a TRUE Note4 upgrade.
Interesting that since 2014 not one OEM incl. Samsung can truly replicate the sheer prowess of the Note 4

This.
With a new battery, a new screen protector, a new case, and a factory reset after Marshmallow upgrade, this is like a new phone. I have zero problems, zero complaints, and zero reason to 'upgrade' to a phone that actually has less features. Sadly, I don't think the versatility of the Note 4 will be replicated any time soon, so I'm hoping to get another few years out of this one!
:good:
My N910C is working just fine, it does whatever I want it to do. It runs all my apps and games without any problems. I have a excellent case for it. All I need to do is get a Gear VR unit to try out the VR platform and wait for my replacement spare battery to arrive.
While I don't have the "zero complaint" part, still its needless to say Note 4 was the last practical mobile phone Samsung had ever released. I don't want a f***ing jewellery, but a mobile phone, where Note 4 ends.
For me the Note 4 is the best phone I have ever used. I considered uprgading to S7 edge but I dont find it that much of an upgrade to buy one. The Note still has a great camera which produces high quality pictures, for me only S6 got a better camera. The performance is great all games and apps are running smooth even in native resolution with Game Tuner. The screen is gorgeous and its pretty bright in sunlight. The removable battery, IR blaster and SD card are great companions. This device still dont have any true rival, atleast for me. Probably Note 8 will make me upgrade from my Note 4. I found that the best Notes for me are those with even numbers 2,4, maybe 8? So yes, Note 4, best device ever.
Must say, also appreciate the fact that the Note 4 is one of the last phones that is still durable without a dam case or cover.
The last Note that doesn't require protection.

I agree wholeheartedly, many people dont realize how useful it is to replace the batteries on the go, and the durability of the device is more than great I dont even use any cases since I bought it 2 years ago, alot of N7 owners had their back cover cracked in first week! I think samsung hit the ceiling with N4.
Note 8 should remove the back glass and give us removable battery if it wants to get back on track and give us a real reason to upgrade, I just bought GTX 1080 instead of N7 cause I know it well last me more than 2~3 years and it will be worth the upgrade from 580

Now that I have a 910c, I can honestly say this phone could have come out in 2016 and competed against anything on the market...
It's THAT good.
So happy I decided to get this one vs upgrading to a newer phone and just paying the higher depreciation for nothing

Yeah, the N910C can still hold it's own even against the modern flagships of today.
Get real guys, Samsung will never produce another Note with removable battery...you can bet on this.
I guess Samsung consider more important waterproof than removable batteries...and this definitely kills the removable batteries and external SD cards.
But, i got to say...this the best phone i've ever had...great quality construction, love the dark laterals with the silver edges, it's fast and has an amazing screen...
I don't intend trade for another Note, the problem it's to find a better phone, because speed it's not enough...
Well, I have had all the Notes (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) except for the Note 7...
Number 4 is definitely a beast among them. I owned the Note 3 chronologically, then I bought LG G4 (by mistake), then I had an annoying the Note 5. As soon as I sold the Note 5, I immediately bought the Note 4 and this, to my mind, was an upgrade over nubmer 5 rather than downgrade.
The Note 4 is the last galaxy device where engineers still beat marketing managers out.
The Note 5 and 7 is for those who are marketing-hypnotizable and realy don't have any motivation to change a device or dependent on figures (AnTuTu results, OS update figire, etc.)
Working as a charm, the Note 4 is a beast for practical people too.

I bought a Note 4 N910F about 3 weeks ago as I was looking for an upgrade. I had my eye on it for a while as it still has everything I need in a phone in 2016. Once a stable, fully featured Note 7 ROM is ported , this device will be given new life

This!!!!!
So happy I bought this phone recently as well
No doubt there are some promising new phones out but this one else puts a lot of them to shame
Samsung put everything they have into the Note 4 and it shows.
2 years later and it runs as if it just came out...no slow downs nothing
I recently bought a "as new" Note 4. My daily driver is a Lenovo Zuk Z1 running a stock CM12 out of the box.
Comparing both...difficult. The Zuk1 is fast, very fast and I have the feeling faster that the Note 4 running on a fresh MM.
Not even mentioning the huge battery in the Zuk.
I would be very tempted buying a Note 4 dual sim but I have learned that sim 2 slot on the Note 4 has limitations in 3g etc.
The Zuk Z1 dual sim has no limitations...I can swap the 3g function from one sim to the other, I can deactivate sim 1 or sim 2 separately something which is apparently no longer possible under MM.
Back to the Note 4, I love the design, the S Pen, the display...I agree that Samsung hit a home-run with this phone.
I bought a second Note 4 with a defective display...I will replace the display as this is still doable at home. Looked on youtube how to replace a display on a note 5 and here its no longer an easy task.
So the wife will soon have her Note 4, she still using a Note 2 currently...
The good thing is that the Note 4 has been sold in huge numbers so lots of spares to be found and cheap ones with cosmetic damage!

GTX 1080 FTW! I also upgraded from a 500-series card (570) and, wow, what a difference! I even upgraded my monitor to take full advantage of the 1080 GTX's power.
Back on topic, I love my Note 4 910C. Skipped both the Note 5 & 7. Only weakness is the camera, IMO, compared to more modern flagships.

It is still possible to make a device with a removable battery water resistant as Samsung has proven that it is possible when they released the SGS5 and SGS5 Neo. It's just that allot of people don't want plastic phones as they think they are cheap and want phones with a glass and metal sandwich construction as they feel that is more "premium".

The problem with the camera on the LG G4 is that the laser auto focus was always wondering around looking for a focal point. It could never get a good lock on a single focal point.
This thread really made my day. I just bought a note 4 yesterday and i am already in love with it.
