PLEASE developers!

Phone's been out for months and only root has been accomplished, that is worrying. I got it a week ago and I like it but some UI stuff is useless/ugly.
I mean, it's not a problem to make a simple ROM without bloatware + performance tweaks... most Android users can do that using T.Backup and Root Explorer once they root the phone... but other things like custom kernels, themeing, gotta have a lot of time to do that. And for that we need good developers.

Idk, any root. I see there is chainfire method and 1 or 2 other methods. Point is, development is really slow. Idk how much did it take for e.g. s4 mini to start being developed.

I agree, seems strange to me that really absolutely no one is working on this. I see this phone everywhere, so it cant be that rare so that it is not worth to develop. Developers? was this phone bad to someone? did it something wrong? poor little S5 mini, no Dev likes you :crying:

This is really sad.
I look here every day in the thread and hope that finally roms are online

Chainfire method does not replace your original rom, the russian rom method is a rooted rom that replaces your original. I for my part prefer to keep my original rom and dont like to replace it with a rom, some unknown so called developer is cooking by himself.

I also prefer to root the original rom, but what is much more important is the fact that we need a custom recovery!

That IS awesome. It will make customization after installing a new rom a breeze.
looks useful, does this mean that your future roms will be 'uc complient'?
That is great. so people can keet same coustomisation while changing the rom. Am I right?

Refer to this link. There are different ROMs for different users, they can' t start a rumble and go for the best. One man's ROM is another man's paperweight.

This is because there is always a person asking for best rom/kernel in here, which is tiring to manage. I suggest you do what I did, root your stock phone and use it for a while. In the meantime, read through threads on problems encountered by other users and take note of their solutions. There are plenty of threads on how to change from custom and stock ROMs, these are the ones you are more likely to receive support from.

[DONATE] Glamour S6/Edge ROM for N910F users

As title says, I would like to see at the moment if there is any interest in this amazing ROM to be ported on our devices (N910F)
I think everyone heard / seen the Glamour ROM for N910C/H/U ported by this amazing developer @henrylife
>>>HERE<<< is the link to see his amazing work and also you can see his work all over the internet / YouTube.
I was talking to @henrylife and he would be more than pleased to start working on this ROM and future development for N910F, but he doesn't own this device, so I think would be nice if we could donate a bit and reach the amount he needs to buy the N910F and start working on it.
If there is any interest in this to happen for us, please vote if you would like to donate and if the results are positive, will get in touch with @henrylife to setup a PayPal donation account and put it in this thread.
The S6 is Exynos, how would you move that framework onto the Snapdragon ? Impossible.

Do you have a link to those threads ? I'd like to see what they exactly did.
That glamourguy took the S6 framework + apps and put them onto the 910C. It's impossible to do that for an Exynos compiled framework and have that run on Snapdragon.

*EDIT* Hmmm actually ... the framework itself is JAVA, so platform independent. if the JNI part that interfaces with the native binaries works correctly with the 910F binaries, then I guess it might work ... So maybe it's not so impossible after all to port the *framework* In fact, I take back my words, it might be possible to get it going on 910F too
Another question does anyone use echoerom how is battery life or temperature of the phone ?

've tried the echoerom during 1 week, the last version obviously. Annnnnnd go back to stock, cuz of the very important over heating permanently. Battery life wasn't so good too.. but it could be worse. Well There were a lot of lags, and bugs ! it's an awesome work but, not for daily use

I have a faulty CPU, which overheats over almost everything and our rom was the only thing, I could flash without rebooting every time. I flashed it in the freezer (Really) and my overheating issues are almost gone now.

Since you joined in april 2014 and only have 23 posts it should be a very good reference point for every user here in XDA
and if you have issues with the rom as such why don't you speak up at the EchoeForum if it's funded we are more then happy to find a solution for you.
For the OP if your friend can create such good roms for the N910F he should continue and let people test the rom for him.
and in the mean time save some money to buy the device himself.
that's just my 2 cents
The thing is. It is easier to speak up where you can make on big pants and the other person cant defend. As said in previous post. There is enough support available you just have to ask. I suggest you better stay on stock then you can complain to Samsung direct.

You speak negative of others work and post a link to there website which I thought was against xda rules is disrespectful. I have the N910T and run the port with an average of 5-6 hrs screen time and 1+ day battery life. All devices react differently you have to take time to set up the device to work best for your use, which obviously wasn't done by the user who reported the rom not a usable as a daily rom. I have been running it since v1 and currently running v3 and can tell you it's my dd.

Best rom rom for p9 lite

Hello guys , I am a newbie and I want to discover the modding world. I have already a unlocked bootloader a twrp recovery and the root . Now , i have to install a rom but I am undecided , so i want to ask to You : someone can tell me which is the best in battery , in performance , in customizability and all is important in a rom ? Thanks a lot for the people who reply
Sadly, due to Huawei's terrible choice of closing the bootloader unlock website, everybody stopped dveeloping roms. The only thing you can do is to use Elite Rom. Custom roms have bugs. I wish this Meticulus guy didn't leave the community. Blame xda
Now it's true that the site has been blocked but there are some Rom ( Cyanogen mode , Resurrection remix , paranoid , elite and others ) that already exists. I want to discover the quality of these ROMs .. someone that used can help me?

Personally, i wouldn't flash custom roms until they are stable. Stock roms are stable enough and may bring/may not bring extra features and stability in the rom.
If you want to try that badly RR, the use Meticulus's oreo rom. But be aware that there are bugs.
Yes , obviously the I ROMs are very bad but some of the existing ROMs are stable . Anyway I try this rom . You only use this rom or have you tried others?
