What is AICP?
AICP is known by someone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since than evolved as a mature rom with the BEST community you can find!!!
Rom has always been AOKP based so expect all AOKP goodies + new additions.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or AOKP team if it conserns their modifications. This rom isn't AOKP supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!
You must be on a pure (not modded) 4.4.2 modem
no need for a JDI specific kernel anymore all the magic happens during the flash of the rom

What's Broken:
ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy JB. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

TWRP Builds
I thought I would share with everyone using AICP my TWRP builds
this is version 2.8.0.0
credit for twrp goes to @Dees_Troy
also some credit to @dr87 for his automatic panel detection and sharing his sources
I would also like to Thank @Snuzzo for his contributions to our kernel
This has the same thermal protection as AICP, so this recovery should run nice and cool
also included DT2W
This uses the same kernel as AICP
these TWRP builds are for the d800. d801, d802, d803, ls980, vs980

please I would like to see one report for each device lets try not and flood this thread with TWRP stuff

Pretty Good but a couple bugs?
Awesome ROM, snappy as heck. Super stable so far including GPS and Data. I'm using a D800.
Doubletap to wake works.
But rotation is broken. Tried flashing a couple other modems that fixed rotation on one of the other CM/AOKP ROM. Not sure if there is something broken across all CM ROMs?
Thanks awesome work though.:good:

Awesome! CloudyFA baseband fixed rotation! Thank you much and great work.

Nice work man. Other than my phone flipping out after changing density to 380( had to manually get to recovery. Wiped both caches and fixed permissions) Its running quite nice right now. Thanks!

Features/Newest update.
Just updated to the newest nightly. Everything is running nicely.
Couple questions.
1. Can we use a different kernel or could you implement possible sweep to sleep over nav bar?
2. In future release could you add in more customizations for the navbar, such as color change options, or icon change options. Another important missing feature from the navbar I noticed is there is no setting to enable long press actions for the navbar icons?
Great work though. Love the ROM. Thanks!

jdi kernel added to OP

Flashed the JDI kernel & have a bunch of screen on and off issues. Phone randomly reboots and doesn't boot up everytime.
Did a factory reset and installed the JDI kernel, same thing. DO NOT INSTALL JDI kernel.

Same here. Installed Furnace JID and my phone would boot after a reboot. As soon as the screen went off, the backlight would come on, touch responses and vibration, but no picture. Reboot, and same thing.

just checking...
you're 100% certain your device has a jdi display panel correct?
I'm just asking cause it works fine on my device

How do we know if we have a JDI display? Never heard of that. I have an AT&T LG G2 D800 if that helps any? Thanks

the g2's have 2 different displays, chances are you have a lgd display type
basically if you flash the rom with the included kernel and you get white lines across the screen you might have a jdi display panel, therefore you would need to flash a jdi kernel
so the jdi kernel in the OP is only for people with a jdi display panel
there is also a display checker app in the forums somewhere but you need to be on the stock ota to get proper results from it
In short.. if you flash the rom and your display is working correctly... don't flash the jdi kernel

Flashed yesterday and so far no issues. I did have to flash twice, first flash it booted to splash screen and vibrated. Powered off reboot to recovery and flashed again.

How is everyone's battery usage? Mines has been decent but definitely not even close to stock ROMs. (Obviously). It has been better using other CM/AOKP ROMs.
Idk if this is normal but the battery usage from Google Now has seemd strangely high compared to other roms. I uninstalled Google Now Launcher because I thought the hotword detection was causing drain.
So I did a uninstall of Google now,(search not launcher), reinstalled & charged battery full and these are some of my usage signs?
Thanks!

Did a full charge overnight (phone off) & have had my phone on for about 20 minutes now. Google Now hasn't even showed up under my battery stats yet & I'm still at 100%. Looks like that might have fixed it. :good:

Hi to all of you Tsubasa owners.
I come here to present you this nice rom, "Dirty Unicorns" wich is based on Omni Rom and on Android 4.4.3
This is absolutely not my work, i just compiled it from DU sources and from @walter79 and omni's repos/device trees.
So i suggest u to pass by their original threads/profiles for thanking them and g+ to give them a coffee or more!
Will try to give u guys weekly builds!
Original thread herehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/orig-development/rom-dirty-unicorns-v7-11-04-14-t2633855http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/orig-development/rom-dirty-unicorns-v7-11-04-14-t2633855
Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP, but now based from OmniROM. DU brings you a great mix of stability and customization. The idea to start a ROM like this was purely out of boredom, but later turned into a form of an addiction, a good one. We began to have fun while still doing things the right way. By doing so, we received high praise from not only our users but by fellow developers of other ROMs that enjoy seeing things done the right way. This ROM will always be free of charge without any strings attached or any of it's developers luring you into donating or any form of "pay to flash".
"Give credit and thanks where is due!" That's something that has fuel the way we do things! With that said, we would like to go ahead and credit those individuals and groups that have made this ROM possible with their original code and contributions to the Android community.....

- Make sure you have TWRP or CWM Selinux compatible recovery
- Wipe everything but your external/internal storage
- Flash the Rom followed by the Gapps and reboot
- All subsequent flashes are easy: just flash the Rom zip and reboot, no wipes or Gapps needed
ART doesn't work.
CPU frequency and governor/scheduler adjustments in Settings/Performance need to be reset after each reboot.
If you lose signal bars after tapping on Settings/Dirty tweaks/Status bar color, pull down Quick Settings, toggle Airplane mode on/off and the bars will be back (the signal is OK all the time, it's just the icon)

Its on like donkey Kong ....... Installed played around a little had a couple of setting FC's but seem random more than anything as I cannot replicate plus I dirty flashed over scanno's homebuild so that could be an issue too but I was too excited to get on DU

Yeah I know bugs and dirty flashing generally go hand in hand ..... Not sure if it is to do with dirty flashing but more than likely but is only bug I have found and can't officially call it a bug due to the circumstances
So im waiting for some feedbacks from someone on a clean install, i will try to provide Hayabusa DU also...
Okay so. I flashed it yesterday with PA gapps and so far so good. No bugs, dirty tweaks are working well. Only "Ok Google " hotword in GEL doesn't work for me
Sent from my Xperia T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
i'm on a clean install. everythings seems to be working great, but seeing how insanely many options are available, i would really like to see 'kill app back button' and 'disable overflow (in-app menu) button'. maybe a bash shell would be nice like on cm.
EDIT: okay, after about 6 hours of use, there are some bugs, but i don't expect you to fix them since they are afaik present on omnirom too:
- sound quality (especially from the speaker) is a$$ compared to stock
- dpsmanager (still, since around cm10) only works when it feels like it (remedy: install viper4android and disable dsp)
- wi-fi refuses to turn on sometimes, especially after using the gps
EDIT2: the real issue for me is that reverse bluetooth tethering (i.e. use my laptop as a bluetooth access point) is not working (like on omni), which is crucual to me, so i'll have to go back to stock. : (
one last thing and i'll shut up, i promise: there are no settings for 'performance' (mentioned in the first post) neither under normal settings nor in dirty tweaks. unless i'm blind of course. : )
Hum ok if these bugs are from omni...then better to wait for walter79 to fix this in omni cuz im not really able to fix it yet...
performance settings are there as dev options...tap few times build number to make it appear

that's usually the first thing i do, but can't find performance settings for the life of me.. anyway, i have to go back to stock because the t is my daily driver. will try your next build, though. : )
Is there a way to change the lockscreen theme? I mean the circles under the handle. Thanks
Sadly I have to report some bugs/things that aren't going well:
- music stuttering -> with Apollo/Play Music + Viper4Android (Super Audio Quality) mainly with ondemand governor, doesn't happen so often with interactive but it still happens (this doesn't happen on CM based ROMs such as PAC-Man or Carbon)
- "OK Google" hotword detection doesn't work for me in any launcher (GEL, Nova) even with module for Xposed
- I have checked the option for Chamber of secrets but can't find it anywhere (maybe because I don't know how to speak with snakes)
Despite all these bugs I must say, I am really happy with this ROM as it has most of the features that are important for me (lockscreen notifications, theme engine, working locations, dirty tweaks etc.). Looking forward for newer builds.
we'll see next builds...its still the first one
thanks for report.
is there any way to get the google now working on homescreen??? like..swipe to the right and google now will come up like it does on AOSP devices??? :-/

fresh install not dirty ....
i use PAgapps and speaking ok google on home screen works for me audio does stutter sometimes not too badly but then other times it is really bad (caused my phone to freeze) i havent tried any audio mods .... apart from that i cannot really report anything except that FC's in settings appear to have gone now on a clean install so as far as i am concerned its just really the audio bug to fix
means good news...at least not so bad to my ears

Dirty Unicorns (DU) is a custom ROM originally based off AOKP, but now based from OmniROM. DU brings you a great mix of stability and customization. The idea to start a ROM like this was purely out of boredom, but later turned into a form of an addiction, a good one. We began to have fun while still doing things the right way. By doing so, we received high praise from not only our users but by fellow developers of other ROMs that also enjoy seeing things done the right way. This ROM will always be free of charge without any strings attached or any of it's developers luring you into donating, or any form of "pay to flash".

"Give credit and thanks where it's due!" That's something that has fueled the way we do things! With that said, we would like to go ahead and credit those individuals and groups that have made this ROM possible with their original code and contributions to the Android community.....
| OmniROM | AOKP | ChaOS | Paranoidandroid | SlimROMs | Preludedrew | Team Black Out | Official Testers / Translators |
Believe it or not, we are human and we do forget things. If we have left someone out of the credit/thanks list, just PM us and we'll gladly add on to the list.

One of the best rom ever!!!!! Now in dowloading and soon a video review on my youtube channel!
is it ok to dirty flash over a weekly? Or should be necessary to start fresh?
Question about Kernels, as always, which Kernels are supported? Or is this Kernel updated to support many features such as quick charge?

* By flashing this, you automatically void your warranty!
* If your phone breaks, blows up or runs away from you, do not cry to us!
* Do not ask for ETAs!!

Hi there,
Flashed the rom - seems nice and fast most of the time. I am however experiencing battery drain from Android OS and Android System...
Am using ART by the way...
Hope a solution will come for the battery drain. CM 11 nightlies use (a little) less battery.
Great work!! Hope an update is in progress

Nice rom! Overall great perfomance! Nice tweaks and ribbons.. Level of customization is very, very high! Great ram management.. I'm waiting for battery test (I'm a battery eater LOL) Thanks for supporting Huashan even though you don't own it! very much appreciated! oh btw, Level sound of notifications and ringer is higher than Carbon Rom... love the Android L Softkeys If something else comes up.. Thanks for the quick reply.
Wakelock detector doesn't show anything in particular.
Have switched to Dalvik and the Android OS entry seems to have gone, but Anrdoid System is still there. Will try ART again to see if OS comes back...
Am using the pa-modular-micro GAPPS from 2014-08-11.
This is a clean flash (wipe all + format data, cache and system before flashing, + reset through the interface after first boot).
One other thing, I often get slow wake up when hitting the power button (anywhere between 1 and 4 seconds).
any logcat will be helpful and will compile next update with cm tree and kernel to see if it changes something

I hereby appoint you to be my hero of the day
I have waited a long time for Carbon ROM Lollipop, since I first came across this awesome ROM. And now with your built and Xprivacy working on Lollipop, I can finally go ahead to the Lollipop adventure :good:

Booted just fine. Viper still does not work and weather forecast location settings are nowhere to be found. I'll play with for a bit and report back. Thanks for your work, GrinningFerret
Build works like a charm but I wouldn't mind Doze..
@up : you only need to change the SE policy to permissive in order for viper to work
Edit: @OPhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=225651 : don't forget to mention the quickboot bug and could you post the Carbon ROM changelog for the sanctity of laziness?
Damn, I wasn't listening to music on my phone for like 3 weeks because of that, I wonder how I could miss this relation when I changed rom. Anyways, thank you, I owe you
@up
But on my ROM it was always permissive, and some stated that it still doesn't work ^^

Dunno, last time on your RR (somewhere at the beginning of the month) it worked but was glitching sound, on Ferret's it worked properly (also old build) but on optimized cm it did not work at all (newer build).
After changing mode it finally works. I'll be delighted to check this out when (if) your new build is up
Sorry for OT.
Rom runs smooth, but haven't test it out heavily yet. Ram management seems to be alright for now
@ardentis
If you link me the official changelog I will include it. Couldn't find it....
@up : I can't find it either. . Could you add your changelog possibly?
Seems that official CarbonROM changelog is broken - it was good in times of KitKat

Oups, I did, but it seems I didn't hit the save button. But only difference is the StormySea kernel and the fixed sim issue.
link?
Wheres post #1? I can't find the download link?
Nevermind. It was a bug in my stock browser. For some reason I couldn't view anyone's op post but I'm on chrome now and it works fine.

It's quite nice to see people enjoying Carbon on the L90....

Well I was busy with school for awhile and I've been busy with family and getting my car fixed and stuff but I'm hoping to work on my Blisspop ROM in the morning(about 9 hours from now) and hopefully have an initial test build by Thursday or Friday.
My friend kinda stopped his development on liquid smooth as far as I know but I do intend to start off where he left off as soon as I can. When I get my initial builds of the ROMS I'm gonna need help figuring out how to fix bugs and stuff because I don't have experience in that but I am willing to learn. Any help will be appreciated. Also I was wondering is there a fix for the no focusing on the camera when not on stock ROM? It really kills the pic quality.
I am on d415. I noticed the OP says something about a patch. I use a patch3 zip every time I flash a new nightly. Does this mean I can use it with any of the variants, even the lollipop builds, like this ROM, and it will work?
I asked about the patch in a different post and someone mentioned it was some kind of kernel and doesn't work with cm12. Is there more than one kernel for the d415?

You don't need any extra flashed patches anymore I think.
Sorry, the video recording work for the 415 in this rom.
Thanks a lot!!

According to the OP, it's still a bug.
