Permission Denied Error

As of this morning, my kindle fire HD 7" was reset back vanilla launcher and un-rooted.
I have re-rooted but keep getting the error "com.estrong..fs.FileSystemException: Permission Denied" whenever I attempt to move my launcher files to system/app
My file explorer has root privileges and I do have my device rooted but it just kind of stumped me.
Does anyone know of a way around this; Has this happened to anyone else within the last 24 hours?
P.S:
My System Version is 7.4.3
File Explorer: ES File Explorer (With all root options selected)

Anyone have any idea?
I still have no idea what's causing the issue.

which method did you used to root kfhd !??
try to root your kf again if the problem is still unresolved !!

first root with restore and after that root with qemu. it's been my way of doing it trough all the amazon updates. it NEVER failed
if you have problems with superSU, just uninstall it and install superuser from market.

I feel like such an idiot..
It turned out the system folders weren't mounted.. So I was getting denied root access..
I had gotten the new version of ES File Explorer (Which I'm not used too), which was giving me the problems.. So I Downloaded FX File Explorer and saw that it wasn't mounted and just NOW finally found how to mount with ES...
Sorry for the post, I feel so freaking stupid.. =/

[Q] Problems with CM 10.1 superuser

I have a plain vanilla CM10.1 on my HD+. The included CM File Manager runs fine with root privilege. I've also installed a newer version of Jackpal's Term (terminal emulator) which runs fine as well with root.
However, the current version of ES File Manager will not run with root privilege. When I try to activate this, I just get the message "Sorry, test failed." Interestingly, the app is visible in Settings>Superuser as "allowed", but it still fails to acquire root. (I already uninstalled and reinstalled ES File Manager a couple of times with no success.)
Additionally, another app I tried to install (SambaDroid) gets denied root by the CM Superuser app without me even being able to say yes or no.
So something is not working as it should be...?

Have you tried installing supersu from the market?

No. I'm not sure whether installing multiple superuser apps is a good idea... I may end up with a system where the two apps slug it out and
I am left without root access. (OK, I do have backups so that wouldn't be a catastrophe.)
Having said that, I would have tried installing another SU if I could get rid of the CM SU in the first place, but these days this thing is baked into the Settings app and I've found no information as to whether (and if so, how) this can be disabled.
Hints anyone?

Seems I am the only one with that specific problem.
The solution (well, not really but probably better than mucking with the CM superuser app): I've removed ES File Manager and installed X-plore File Manager instead. The interface of the latter is not that great but it seems to do most (or all?) of what ES can do (plus it does open password-protected RAR files, a big plus for me). And of course it supports root...
Still I do not understand why ES would not work with the CM superuser but there you go.

SuperSU and ES File Explorer on Lollipop

I'm on a rooted Nexus 4 with Lollipop and SuperSu v2.20. I've noticed that ES File Explorer does not request root permissions nor is it listed as one of the apps in SuperSU even though its installed and working fine. I've tried reinstalling ES but it still does not ask for root persmissions in SuperSU. There are other root apps that are going thru SuperSU fine. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Install latest version of SuperSU (2.23) and latest version of ES (3.2.3).

Thanks for the response. I was already on ES 3.2.3. I update SuperSU to 2.23 but still having the same issue where ES does not go thru SuperSU.

I had this issue so deleted and reinstalled ES File Explorer, but now I just get "ES File Explorer isn't responding".
I've Googled this error but no one else seems to be getting it.
So, I have switched to FX for the moment, till ES fix the problem (or I discover what is causing it)

Did you go under the tools tab and turn on root browser? I don't have lollipop so i can't try it out myself.

Yeah no prob! Make sure to turn on show hidden files. It really comes in handy. Ive actually had some issues with ES lately where it corupts apk files when you manually push them to /system/app. So be careful its been a real pain in the butt...

Titanium backup zv6 with root

So I have a rooted stock zv6 android 5.1 sprint lg g4. Root is working fine and so is xposed version 79 sdk 22. I get all su prompts and can grant of deny them. In titanium backup latest version from Google play I also get the root prompt and I grant it, but it still says it doesn't have root access even though I even see the toast message that it has been granted superuser. It says something about not obtaining root using system/bin/su. But using root explorer the su binaries are there I even copied the su from the xbin folder and pasted it into the bin folder tried changing install paths in busy box still didn't solve it. What has me stumped that the prompt to grant superuser permissions comes up with titanium backup, but even granting it does not see it/achieve superuser permissions for whatever reason. Do you guys have any idea on what to try?

HELP: Unable to delete stock apps that got installed with 5.1.1

Okay, so I made the jump and updated my ZR C5503 to 5.1.1 from 4.3, and for the most part, I'm happy. I didn't have to wipe my phone's data, and my apps work well so far. However, when I tried to delete stock apps, I found out that I lost the root explorer function of ES file explorer, and when I turn it on after granting superuser access, it would turn back off after 3 to 4 seconds with an error message that it cannot run on the device.
Specifics:
1. On 4.3, I downloaded and installed NUT's dual recovery 2.8.23. Although it worked, NDR Utils gave the error "Unable to read XZDR.prop". No problem, I didn't bother with it.
2. I then downloaded experifirm and downloaded the customized PH version of 10.7.A.0.222.
3. I downloaded the supersu zip file as well.
4. I ran PRF Creator and created a pre-rooted zip file using the 3 files (FTF, supersu, dual recovery).
5. I crossed my fingers and turned off my phone and booted into TWRP recovery.
6. I deleted cache and dalvik (delvik?) cache.
7. Installed the lollipop pre-rooted zip file.
8. Voila, no errors, flawless 5.1.1 installation... Or so I thought. NDR Utils still shows the same error.
I searched around and somebody said the Sony RIC killer will do the trick. I tried running it but repeatedly got an error about the daemon not loading, although it shows the phone is rooted. No joy there.
I just want to delete the bloatware:

- Email
- Play Games
- Notes
- Play Books
- Gmail
- Hangouts
- Youtube
- What's New
- Play Music
- Xperia Lounge
- Photos
- Play Newsstand
- File Commander
- FM radio
- Play Movies
Can anybody help, please?

Okay, feeling foolish here, but after reinstalling ES explorer, it accepted superuser and root explorer stayed put. I have now been able to delete the bloatware. I also uninstalled NDR Utils.
All good now, please close this thread.

i use Titanium backup to delete stock apps. alternatively i think there is a script to delete all bloatware
