Notification issues on mix latest miui version

1) No notifications show if I close application, I have the reopen the app in order to see the messages. On other phones, the messenger app didn't have to be running in the background in order to receive them.
2) if I receive multiple messages from someone, eg on messenger, it only shows the latest message, on stock android 4.4 it showed

Now it's just the very latest message, with the number next to it. in all messaging apps, it's annoying, how can I fix this? It's something to do either Android 6 and miui, because there's no issue on stock 4.4
1. This is an issue with MIUI in my experience. You would need to add the apps in the exceptions of battery saver, auto start (in security) and lock the app (pull the app down in multitasking screen and tap lock). That should resolve it.
2. Have you tried two finger gesture on the notification. Pull the notification of the message down with 2 fingers or try expanding the notification horizontally with 2 fingers (move one finger from centre to right and one from centre to left). One of the gesture should work depending on your ROM.
Same issue I got, hope they fix it soon

Mate 9 pro app notifications issue.

Hi guys,
How do I get app notifications on my mate 9 pro? I am used to little red numbers on my apps, Facebook, messages etc. Please help. Thank you.
Go into settings/apps. Then check each app individually in the notifications section. Make sure notifications is turned on and if you want those numbers to appear on your apps you switch the banners on.

Alternative to TeslaUnread (Nova launcher) for Pie on Huawei P20 Pro?

With Oreo if I saw a TeslaUnread Gmail notification of e.g. "5" and opened the app to read a single email then closed the app, the badge stayed on the Gmail icon but the number decreased by one to "4". That's perfect. But TeslaUnread has stopped working properly on Android Pie. Nova also has default notification dots but these don't have a message count and are based on status bar notifications so they disappear when you open the apps, even if you don't read any messages.
The standard Huawei badges don't work very well, and not at all for Gmail.
Are there any other notifiers (launchers?) which work well with Pie?
many thanks
I suggest you go into TeslaUnread's settings and disable and then reenable the apps you want monitored. I have to do this after each Nova Launcher update, as it stops reporting unread messages correctly.

Click to collapse
This only works once. Then you have to go into TeslaUnread's settings and disable/enable all over again.
There is no problem with the default launcher and notifications...and you also have the option to change badged to unread messages, exactly like you want to...it works very well for me on android Pie(I can see in every app icon the number of unread messages,if I read only one or two,the number decreases, not really sure for gmail,I don't use it). Just go to launcher settings, and change the badge type to unread messages.

How to launch a notification for an app

For some reason the kings college covid symptom tracker doesn't launch a notification on my OnePlus 8 (works fine on my 3t). I can get tasker to launch the app but I rather get tasker to launch the notification icon as that triggers me to fill it in. Is there a way of launching the notification icon with tasker rather than the application. My digging has not struck gold.

ColorsOS "unread badge count" own implementation

Hi,
i know that after Android oreo, unread badge count on icons are linked to notification panel, so if we swipe notifications, badge disappear too.
It works so on Samsung, but it seems ColorOs has own implementation otf this stuff, because my friend with android 11 oppo phone (find x3 pro) tell me badges works as before android oreo, that is badge persist even if we swipe notifications.
I'm surely happy about it, but can you confirm it is true? Has ColorOs its own implementation of badge that differs from Android standards?
Thanks.
Sure he is not getting muddled up with the badge that appears when an app has been updated? Different to the badge for notifications.
Nope. On whatsapp and facebook app, setting badge with number, the badge persist swiping notifications. With dot, it works as google standards.
