[Q] Seriously I can't unlock my bootloader D410 V10b - LG Optimus L90

First of all I can't do a single step right now unless I'm very sure. For this is my only phone and I'm afraid to brick it.
I can't afford another one, we are not all rich .
My problem is that I can't unlock my bootloader on my phone
LG L90 D410 V10B
YEAH
The reason is that there is no aboot patch for the v10b model.
I already asked this question a lot times in different threads and some tell that:
a) It is safe to use the v10c (some users are reporting that v10c work fine);
b) NO!!! NEVER flash a different aboot for your unit;
c) Try updating to v10c then flash aboot ;
software says my system os is up to date
d) Then why just don't I update using KDZ?;
Cheers! Melancholic feeling still for my IMEI returns only a v10b software
e) envy all the cm11 users LOL just kidding.
I think IMHO that:
a) If i can just obtain the v10c or v10d kdz file somehow;
b) Borrow an IMEI (which is not nice) with the v10c links;
c) Miraculously an aboot for v10b appears;
d) or if I could just generate the aboot for v10b (which in I accept the fact that I cannot do that)
Please help me
Thanks in advance
Please correct me if something is wrong in above post.

[Q] Is my SGS rooted?

I bought SGS that was unlocked from orange (UK) then sold in another country (mine)...
1. Does unlocking procedure include rooting?
2. Is this prohibits me from getting official update through Kies?
A simple yes/no will do, although if u answer no plz help me out and explain
(had a hd2 before this one, did some rom flashing.., never did unlocking though)
Unlocked and rooted are two different things and neither should affect kies offering an update.

1.No..(flash via odin to some unlocked firmware)
2.It depends..(ie) if for the previous problem, you flash a firmware not from your region then no your kies wont be able to give you an official update.. so download a region specific firmware( for ex dd means india, dx means singapore. find ur region code). Instead of this i'd suggest you to go to samfirmware.com and get the best rom.
thank you for replies
i found out my firmware is I9000XWJV1 which could also be found in official sources, so i supose it should be available for me to use official updates...
still is there a way for me to know if the phone is with stock/retail firmware or its rooted with a rom thats just almost as stock?
sry if i may sound silly at any point, im new to samsung rooting and stuff
kies says:
"This version of your device cannot be updated.
Current firmware version DA:JV1 / PHONE:JVE?CSC:J
Can you tell me if it means i wont get updates ever, or just couse now its not available?
Nevermind, i found uot myself.. google almighty =)

[Q] Change Firmware still receives OTA update?

If i change my 4x firmware to another countrie (ex: update to austrian firmware , a 4X bought in honk kong), will i still get the Austrian firmware future updates via OTA or just KDZ ?

No idea... you can downgrade to an older Austrian version and see what happends, how the phone upgrades...
If you do, don't forget to give feed back

didnt understand what you mean.
You reverted back to 10c and after that you updated to 10f via OTA and it was only 7,6mb? But did it update to 10f via OTA?

After update you're not getting what?
After upgrade from V10C to V10F, you went back to V10C, and now you don't have upgrade notification to V10F?
Is that it?
I think you will. The .kdz file is a complete image and the FOTA program is included, so it should not stop you from getting those updates. However i've never needed to flash a .kdz, so can't tell exactly. But why worry? If the OTA doesen't work, you can still flash it manually.
first phone was on 10c and ota found update with 7.6mb
i decided to update 10f kdz and updated to 10f
and thenn want some persian lang and rtl support so i re falashed v10c and tried ota but found nothing

by flashing manually, you mean with the Lg Mobile tool? does it wipe your data/games?

Using LG Official software will delete everything, at least with me...
You can upgrade using the tradicional unofficial method to keep the apps that you have.
I use to flash with the web upgrade/ official tool but, when I'm just "playing" with the "flash" (using the unofficial) all my apps, setting, everything remains, no matter if I upgrade or downgrade and if I downgrade and upgrade again...
But if your goal is to see if the official software upgrades, its better to do a backup!!!

What do you mean with "continent firmware"? The latest in europe (open, all languages. To be honest I don't understand why there are open_portugal; open_italy; etc... if the firmware is the same) is V10F, in Brasil V10B...
But there you can use the europe V10F

There is no Brazilian portuguese language on europe firmware, only portuguese from portugal. thats why im moving to brazilian 10a firmware. after that, i will check if OTA update itself to brazilian firmware 10b.
If NOT, than updating the firmware from one countri/continent like europe for example, to another countries firmware like brazil for example, affects the OTA update.
thats what im going to test tomorow. Im shure people here changed their`s firmware to another region one, but no one told if it still receiving update.

I know that the european version only have PT-PT, but the difference is that big? The improvements in the firmware are not better than the language issue? And that issue it will be in a few cases cause in the keyboard for example, if you choose SwiftKey 3 you can choose PT-BR and in a lot of other apps...
The update OTA... probably you'll see here posted the update first than in your phone.
Is just an opinion, you do what you think its better of course.
Anyway, enjoy your phone and wish you good luck whatever you decide
i tried to update via OTA , but it says, phone not registered. I registered in lg web site but still gives me the same emssage. Should it take a while, or where do i need to register in order to check for updates?
OK, it happened what i suspected:
the phone update itself (not via OTA because it didnt worked for me) to the latest firmware by CHECKING YOUR IMEI. It means that if your original stock firmware is EURO for example, and you install Asian firmware for example, it wont update to the latest Asian firmware, but to the latest EURO firmware because it will check your imei that is Euro, not the firmware you have.

[Q] Rooting my Canadian LG optimus 4X

Hey guys, I'm quite new here, I've tried rooting my LG Optimus 4X HD when I first got it, that didn't work.
So I waited a couple months hoping there was a way to root it, and I still cannot find a way.
I've tried many methods.
Methods I've tried:
One with the o4xr (I think) files.
Downgrade with KDZ
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180688
I'm confused what to do anymore.
My phone is the LG Optimus from Wind Mobile.
Any help is appreciated,
Vintage
Why do people keep on asking here without searching? The Canadian version - P880G has no support on here because there are no devs with that model and it is different from the standard model, no bootloader unlock is available. Keep hassling LG or Wind for answers, but asking the same questions every two weeks on XDA won't achieve anything.
Last method you try to root is for 4X on Jelly Bean- v20 and canadian version do not have Jelly Bean at the moment- v10F is the latest firmware for your phone, and all other methods are for p880 (European phones)
Read this whole thread before doing things (especially post # 9) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37009159, just to say that you need to be on v10c firmware and than use voodo root keeper if you also want to have root after updating to v10F. And you need to use ONLY firmware for canadian P880G not p880 phones.
If you have v10C on phone you are lucky because as i known v10C for manually download is restricted for some reasons, if you on v10F you need to find wind mobile v10c to manually downgrade!
Good luck!
You also have Root Many Android method - find it in index post here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36676469#post36676469
To root the P880g, you must start by running v10c on your phone. As mentioned, that firmware version can't be downloaded from the official LG repository, but there are mirrors available (search and poke around these forums).
Use this method to root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
You can then do an OTA upgrade to v10f after using a root keeper. Follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37268564&postcount=12
If you have a developer model, you probably won't be able to upgrade OTA, and instead will have to use your computer to flash a KDZ. If that's the case, you can't keep root. There is no way to avoid it, and you'll be limited to using v10c if you want root.
A comment by LG on their Facebook page said that Jelly Bean is coming to the P880G, and hopefully it includes the unlocked bootloader so we can join in the fun with all the other 4X owners.

Please help me with Lg g4 Ls991zv6 - H81520g

I bought a new Lg g4 model h81520g as shown in setting>about phone>software info. I wanted to check for update but there's no software update option, only apps update is available. so what I decided to do is to reflash the stock software to enable update option. I downloaded the kdz file "H81520g" but when I connected it to computer and ran the LGUP it shows another variant which is LS991zv6. I tried to flash the downloaded file, but it gives an error "invalid kdz. My Lg g4 comes with marshmallow on board. the stock recovery works fine, and also the download mode is fine.
my question is: should I download and flash LS991zv6? by the way, I checked my imei in imei info .com and it shows the model as LS991 sprint

Zv6 is lolipop no mm. U need to check the motherboard. Must disasmble the device and see what it says. Bit if the device is working i would leave it be. Its almost more hassle than its worth

Thats what im telling u zv6 is a lolipop firmware for sure no debate there..
Thats why i say leave it be. This is one of those if u mess up u can hard brick it. Theres not a diffrence between mm and lolipop motherboards but zv6 is a lolipop firmware. Not mm.

hello thank for answer , can you give me tutorial to do cross flashing?
ok first download and instal LGUP_Dev_Frame_Ver_1_15_0_6, after instal usb driver LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.2.0
in disc C\program filles find lg electronics\LGUP\model here make a new folder with the name (common) and in this folder common copy dll file- https://www.mylgphones.com/lgup-dll-for-lg-v40-thinq-version1-9-39-7.html this dll(LGUP_DLL_for_V40.zip)
now put the phone in download mode with usb to the pc
open powershell from the LGUP folder and type cmd enter
now indicate the address to the kdz file folder on your PC, in my case it was (lgup_cmd.exe com3 "C:\Program Files\LG Electronics\LGUP\model\common\LGUP_Common.dll" "D:\Zona Downloads\lg v40\V405EBW20d_00_OPEN_EU_DS_OP_1106.kdz)
if you have correctly indicated the address to the kdz file, firmware update will start
wait up to 100%
my phone
I believe I tried this days ago. However, after days of trying, I reread this, and it is clear to me that there are two problems with these instructions: 1. Firstly so many other threads say use only 1.16 and above for this phone. 2. you don't offer a patched link. The standard dev requires special passwords and doesn't offer a way to register.
I haven't found a dev version above 1.14 that was patched. Someone offered a patched 1.15 that supposed to help. But non of the dlls work, which I suspect is because no lgup can work with lg v405ua, below a patched 1.16 dev. I don't think I have found that unicorn yet.
