[Q] charging - LG Optimus L90

when you connect the phone to charger it makes sound ( or in my case vibration)
any way to disable this?

In CM there is such option, do you use stock rom?

I'm afraid no...

Most of us aren't on stock anymore so this is hard to answer. However, Xposed framework with GravityBox[ KK ] has an option to enable/disable charging sounds and/or vibrations.
As for doing this on stock 4.4.2, check Settings->Sound. There may be something there.

[Q] Disable the sound when charging

When I plug my Z3C into either the dock or magnetic charging adapter it plays a sound.
I don't want it to do this as its loud and annyoing, and pointless imho.
After some research I found the sound is this one.
/system/media/audio/ui/ChargerPluggedIn.ogg
I tried to remove it but the filesystem is read only and I am not root either.
The work around I have now is to turn the sound off, plug on the charger, then turn sound back on.
Anyone know how to turn it off?
Get root or live with it?
Thanks, I was hoping there was another way.
Seems strange that you can't turn it off.
I too have this same issue. Would like to turn off charge sound but there is no setting to do so. I would rather not root until the is a way to keep all features.

Indeed, what's more important, DRM keys or a sound (I know what I'd choose)
And what might that choice be? Im curious. I can get at least 30% better battery life and better audio with viper plus more. Vs. Worst camera function.. I'm still trying to decide

[Q] ENABLE volume warning

How can i enable the volume warning after disabling it? Usually it would be back when i restarted my device, but since the Lolipop update this is not the case.
I'm running Android 5.0.2 to be exact.
And i'm not looking for answers like "it's better without it" i have very loud earbuds and i want to have the warning!
How did you turned it off?

It gave the warning, i pressed volume up and it was gone.
You're not alone. At least two users more are experiencing it (including me): http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/help/safe-headset-volume-warning-lollipop-t3031908
I don't know why is there so much silence regarding this issue. It's so annoying.

Android 2.3 / CM7 : Switch on/off Nexus One when USB power connected/disconnected

I repurposed this for the car, and would like it to power on and off without me touching it, i.e. with the engine. I see a few apps which do this for 4.0+ but this is running CM7.
Ref to an API would be ok as it sounds like an easy app to write.
Do you mean just wake on plug which is default or it turning on from being completely powered off? The latter would require device specific bootloader mods and isnt feasible
Thanks for your reply. I did mean to switch on the device just when the power was connected. It's a shame the N1 can't do this - for the car it's ideal. Do you know if any later android phones support this?

Hi, i don't now my friend, make a backup and flash then ,is possible work on miui
@mikivila - Do you suppose there is a way to cancel the led when one swipes away the notification on the lock screen? Currently, it seems you have to use the power button (unlock device) to cancel the led.
No
No disrespect to the op, but with the moto x' awesome active display, I'm finding it kinda hard to see the need to activate the led for notifications and I've always thought the notification LED makes ur phone look like it's something out of the 90's

Charging alarm?

Usually I connect my phone to a charger at night. Is there any way to disable charging notification sound without setting turning off all alarms?
If not, I just have to wait for TWRP update, root my phone and disable the sound in firmware.
The sound is
/system/media/audio/notifications/Tethys.ogg
...but renaming that file won't silence it.
Any ideas?

From my experience with previous devices I think that it might be built into the firmware itself.... Such that it's not just a matter of renaming/deleting an audio file (even if you have root) as it's built into the system itself.
This was some time ago and on my Nexus 6P, however, so it may not still be accurate/relevant
