Lipsync issues - Netflix, Hulu and other sources - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am experiencing horrible lipsync issues with this phone.
Check it out and let me know if you see the same.
Netflix
Hulu
Amazon
And media off SD

Yep. Noticed the same for Netflix. Thought it was a problem with the stream but then I checked on my TV and all was fine. Switched to the Z3C again and ... out of sync. :crying::crying::crying:

[Q] Problem with YouTube video playback

Hello,
Suddenly I have a problem with YouTube video playback. The videos start streaming ok, but the appear small (not fullscreen) and very low quality. It used to work fine. The locally recorded videos play nice even in 720p. The problem is with the streaming video player.
I installed the LagFix (which works miracles) at somepoint earlier. Do you think that this could cause this problem? Any one else has seen it?
Thanks,
Michael

Audio stuttering from YouTube and Play Music

So, casting from Netflix seems to work fine, but anything from YouTube or Play Music results in audio so choppy it sounds like a toddler trying to learn to be a DJ. Video from YouTube plays fine, with no hesitation. Any ideas?
Local files seem to be okay as well. Netflix audio stutters a little at first (maybe 1min),but eventually smooths out. It still does it long enough to be annoying. Kinda regretting my chromecast...
Really, no one?
no issues like that here. well once a youtube video did after i resumed from pausing it reloading the vid solved that issue.
Local files? you're still able to play them?
Yeah, dropping a file into Chrome and casting the tab seems to work. When casting a tab, I'm assuming that a mild delay is typical, right?
To some degree as that is still in beta. Network conditions also play a bigger part when casting via chrome

Well, someone (on another site, obviously) suggested it might be a bad unit, so I returned it. Grabbed another today...and same thing. Is there a particular wireless security type that it doesn't like? I'm on a 2.4Ghz router. Is there a particular channel that's better?

Use WPA-personal/WPA-PSK is sufficient.
I'm using WPA-personal. And all WiFi Analyzer seems to be telling me is that I have great reception. The channel I'm on fluctuates between 9 and 10 stars, but a couple seem to hold on 10, so I guess I could switch, but it doesn't seem to be a big difference.

Chromecast video on tv audio on phone

Hi my question is is there a player except localcast which allows me to stream videos on my tv via chromecast but let the audio play from my phone? i searched a lot of websites but could not find anything hope someone can help me here
I could see this being possible by running a UPnP server on the Chromecast and diverting/mirroring the audio through that. I think you'd probably need a rooted Chromecast to do it at this stage though (which I don't have).

I actually got that to happen accidentally while testing casting from Chrome Beta on the phone. I started a Vimeo video playing on the phone, switched to full screen, clicked the Chromecast icon, the video loaded on the Chromecast and started playing, the phone screen switched to control playing on the Chromecast - but the audio continued on the phone. That didn't happen when I stopped and started again, only the first time.

Is anyone able to use Hulu on the Amazon Fire 7?

Hopefully, this will be an easy question to answer. I have a rooted Fire 7 with Resurrection Remix. I have my tablet set-up exactly the way I want it. I downloaded all the streaming apps I wanted to use including Hulu. However, Hulu doesn't work on my tablet. I downloaded the Google Play version, and the app works fine in terms of being able to navigate through it and see what shows are available to watch. However, when I try to play a video, it gives me a message saying that my internet connection isn't strong enough.
My router is located in my family room, and Hulu app won't stream video even when I'm in the room where the router is located. However, I have a Fire stick in my bedroom, which is probably at the limit of my wi-fi's range, that streams videos from Hulu just fine. On a different but related note, Netflix and Youtube work just fine on my tablet, so this affirms my belief that my wi-fi isn't the issue.
Can anyone confirm if Hulu simply doesn't work on the Amazon Fire 7? If any of you are able to stream videos through Hulu, can you offer up any possible solutions? Thanks in advance.
