[Q] Samsung Galaxy Pocket REBOOTS - Samsung Galaxy Pocket

Hey guys, hope you could help me with my problem.
So I've been trying to install many custom roms in my samsung to try it out, and then I decided to return to my stock rom, then I rooted it. After I rooted it, my power button/lock button started to malfunction, it won't lock my screen after the first press, then after pressing a couple of times, it reboots without any warning. Any solution? I don't think it is a hardware problem because when turning it on, it works fine. Also, it doesn't always happen, but it is really getting annoying when my phone starts to reboot again. I've found a similar problem here and tried the solution, but it didn't work. I also tried to format, return to my stock rom again, but no luck

[SOLVED] Rom issue - problem soft reset or turning off wipes phone

I have tried several roms over the last few days but all have shared the same issue. I tried both the Sh3lby roms and Duttys roms. When I flash it everything works fine, it installs ok and everything appears to work. However, whenever the phone has an error or when I soft-rest or turn the phone off, all my files are deleted and I need to set-up the os again (align screen etc). So essentially everytime my phone is turned off or restarted it performs a hard-rest. Does anyone know any solution to this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Update - Returning to stock rom appears to have solved the issue. Thank-you for the replies.

I'm not sure what the cause is but I have seen the same thing on some of the newer builds.

Did you follow the flashing guide? What method did you use? Did you do at least one hard reset after flashing? If you provide more information on how you flashed your phone, it would be helpful.

I used the flashing rom guide in the past, however, I think I am familiar with flashing now and have flashed many successful roms in the past without this issue. I hard reseted after flashing too :S
Have a look Here
Please delete.
I had the same issue recently. Flashing back to a stock rom, hard resetting then flashing the desired cooked rom resolved the issue for me.
had to follow the same procedure for the first time in 70+ flashes of my HD over the last 8 months! never once thought it would help, but it did. fyi, my problem was a freezing, unresponsive device immediately after waking from sleep. it's been 4 days since and no issues...

ADP dead?

Hi,
I've got a very big problem:
Today I tried to install a new custom ROM to my ADP1.
I've tried a lot but finally got to the step where I wanted to update the bootloader. After running the update the device was starting again but was reset after 2 seconds.
Since that time I'm not able to start my device again. I can press the power button or other button combinations but no vibration or screen that is showing anything.
Guys, I know that it was dump to do that and my fault so please no comments on that.
Has anyone any idea what I can do to get my device started again and get into any menu?

first problem....wrong section
have you tried holding home+power or camera+power when turning on?
if either of these get you anywhere then it can be fixed
there is no reason why you shouldnt be able to if it was just a rom flash gone bad
if it works, SEARCH, if not, sell it or get a doner
Moved as not Android Development.
Sorry for taking the wrong section, thanks for moving ...
Unfortunately Ive already tried tried all these combinations. No chance to get it alive :-(

[Q] i9000m back button randomly activating

Hey Guys, All of a sudden after flashing a couple of roms my back button spontaneously starting acting weird. It randomly "activates" and takes me back and vibrates whenever the phone is turned on. Has anyone seen this before? I've tried flashing a bunch of firmwares, and doing factory resets but nothing helps. Any ideas on how to clear the phone and reset it fully?

Go to the last page, there should be someone commenting on flashing the Touch HW again; basically you just use SGS's tools with your original firmware and then flash the Touch HW drivers again.
Check that topic and read throughout it.

Nope.... tried messing with the buttons in recovery mode and even flashing the firmware inside SGS tools. Nothing works. I still think it's a software issue because If I do a key test in CWR the button works like it should. =/ Hoping for some other ideas. Thanks for your help though.

Hmm. Just out of curiosity what are the versions of "phones touch key" and "parts touch key" in SGS Tools?

I already boxed up the phone and sent it back to the seller for warranty replacement but I think it was something like 0x02, and the version to update was 0x2. Does that make sense? I tried updating both, and SGS tools said the update was successful, but it didn't fix the problem.

[Q] Unable to restart phone

Hi guys,
Hoping someone here has the knowledge to help with my little problem!
My phone battery died a few days ago. When I got home to recharge I found the charging LED wouldn't show and also the phone wouldn't restart.
After several attempts I resorted to flashing the ROM again. I got it up and running, but then again by restarting manually again the phone went into a bootloop and wouldn't start up.
Has anyone experienced this before? I've had no issues previously but this is really starting to bug me. Means I can't run Xposed modules etc that need a reboot. I've now installed the ROM 3 times and tried clearing the cache after each.
Running ARHD 51.0 with stock kernel.
Many thanks in advance!

S4A i537 AT&T Stuck in Safe Mode - SOLVED

Hello all,
I'll try to be brief, but descriptive.
Months ago I tested out a used S4A in sink... it got wet. I dried it out and it was working mostly fine. Changed the charging port/ribbon cable and worked fine except for the menu button was dead.
Rooted device with Towelroot and was getting ready to try and install custom ROM, why for some reason I deleted Towelroot app and restarted. Phone has since been stuck in Safe mode. I can install apps like safestrap, but can't get to them, being in safe mode.
I've tried flashing a custom recovery, and many factory resets after attempting "try this" and try that's" from forums. Nothing has worked.
I used to have an HTC that had a ROM mounted onto an SD card that I could run from RAM (at least I think thats how it worked), is that possible on this device? or is there any other solution to this?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Solved
Apparently, I didn't clean it enough. I cleaned the contacts a couple times, but is seems that it was not enough. Unit is now operating normally. In addition, through testing everything, I noticed that the menu button on the board wasn't pressing forward towards the face button quite enough. I stuffed something in there to press it forward and now it is working perfectly!
