[Q] HD+, CM11 and Netflix - can it work? - Nook HD, HD+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello All,
I have an HD+ with the latest CM11 nightly installed. Downloaded the latest version of Netflix from Google Play, and I get the infamous audio lag issue. I installed the netflix persist hack through CWM, and the lag still persists - rebooted a few times - no luck. I uninstalled Netflix, and sideloaded version 3.2.1-B1346, as mentioned here. But still no luck - same delay.
I know that there are lots of threads about Netflix and this issue, but I couldn't find a definitive answer regarding this device, with this MOD. Does anyone have a version that's working with no audio delay? Thanks!

[Q] CM9 nightlies - Apps not dowloading/updating anymore

Hi All,
I have been running CM9 nightlies for some time now, periodically upgrading to the latest version available.
A few month ago, I noticed that I could not download new Apps from the Play store, and already installed apps would not upgrade anymore (it would see available updates and would try installing them, but download would fail).
I have tried reverting to older nightlies (through Goo manager) and re-installed Gapps (clearing all caches) - but this did not improve the situation.
Since then, I have re-ugraded to the latest nightly build (20130714), while expecting no improvement... I was right
Would you know what could be causing the situation? And even better, what could be attempted to fix it?
Note: I am using the latest Gapps for CM9. At some point I had tried using some seemingly newer versions proposed by Goo Manager (with "jcs" in their names), but I reverted to the official ones later. Not sure whether this could have caused the issue (and as I noticed the issue some time later, I cannot correlate it to the change in Gapps version).
Thanks in advance
Best Regards,
Ceredig

[Q] Google Apps not working with CM11, help?

I've spent the last two days trying to get Google Apps (at least the Play Store most importantly) to work on my TP again after I updated to CM11. I have the latest CM11 nightly installed with the latest (supposedly) working gapps.zip but I haven't been able to get things working.
Surprisingly, I haven't found any specific solution to my issue (Play Store crashes on launch, Google+ application loops on cannot connect pop up, etc).
Can someone tell me on how to proceed to solve such issues?
I feel like my last chance at trying to solve this is just going back to 10.2, help?

I would use ACMEuninstaller to clean everything. Then flash the CM11 again.

[Q] YouTube: There was a problem while playing

I have uninstalled updates, rebooted phone, and installed from 1Market instead of the Google Play Store but still when I try to play any video on YouTube I receive the error 'There was a problem while playing - Touch to retry'. Retrying just repeats same. I rooted the phone recently and installed Cyanogenmod but the problem was occurring even when using stock. YouTube works fine on my tablet using the same WiFi. I have not yet set up adblock and I am not using any custom VPN or tunneling. I have read on some threads the issue only occurs streaming HQ video but when I attempt to stream, press the three dots menu top right, and then press the cog/gear for settings, the resolution options only go up to 480 and pressing auto does not help, this also resets to 480 when I check it on the next attempt. If relevant the baseband version installed is different than what was on the phone initially, it was the closest I could find for the only rooting method which would work.
Any ideas how to fix YouTube?
Did you flash the latest version of CM 11? They may have fixed the YouTube issue (at least it's fixed on my ROM).
Sent from my GT-I8190 running tenshi_xp's PAC ROM 4.4.4.
I am not sure, I installed Cyanogenmod about two or three weeks ago. I checked for Cyanogenmod updates in settings yesterday and there were none, would that mean I have the latest ROM?

NovaFusion's CyanogenMod 11 ROM is unofficial that mean no OTA updates. Go to novafusion.pl/downloads and download the latest version from there. Then flash it simple via recovery without wipe data.

Google Maps Crashes

Having crash problems on both my Samsung Galaxy 8.9 tablets (one on CM 10.2 and the other CM 11.0). Seems to be triggered when I zoom in. Past a certain point I get the, "Unfortunately, Maps has stopped".
Just seems to have happened with the new Maps. Versions. 9.0.0 and 9.1.0 both crash. I have cleared data and cache and re-installed to no avail.
Tried installing a downloaded 8.4.1 but it wouldn't install.
Anyone else with this? Cause??

I installed Liquidsmooth v3.2 Milestone + Figue Kernel v11 and pico pa_gapps, following instructions from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal.../roms-kernels-nameless-kasper-kernel-t2937458
I haven't installed jolinnard's latest kernel, yet. I'm still running the LS one. After that I installed maps from the playstore and it seems to work fine so far. It just popped up the playstore and asks me to install the latest version of the play services, which I haven't done yet. Not sure, if it will still work after that. Other people have complained about gmaps crashes as well. Maybe it's worthwile trying LS?

Latest Hulu version not working in CM 11-20160815

Hello,
I recently updated my hulu plus and now it's not working, the app crashes when the video starts loading. As mentioned in an old thread, the latest version that works is "2.19.3.202273". Can someone with another CM version confirm if the latest hulu update is working on the nook hd? The hulu version I'm using suffers from buffering issues.
I just installed CM and the Play Store won't let me even install Hulu. It says "your device isn't compatible with this version". Same message when I try to install the Nook eReader.
Very old reply but you need to download it from an individual websites which hosts apk files. The version I listed is the latest one that worked for me.
