What device did you upgrade from and how's your experience with the Note 4? - T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Tell us if the Note 4 is all you thought it would be?

Like I said before, these are all from within a year lol.... I switched from an iphone last November 2013
First was a Xperia Z1 (battery life was eh), Galaxy S4, HTC One M7, Galaxy S5 (only thing I miss is water resistance), LG G3 (love this phone but screen was not that great and very dim in the daytime) and now to my love of my life note 4! BEAUTIFUL! only thing I don't like is no option for soft keys (menu key has LAG and I don't like the Back button on the right side.

Note 3 and the experience is horrible. My 4g lte isnt working but that's not for everyone's note 4 just some

Galaxy S4. Experience has been underwhelming. Wonky GPS (loses the signal if phone is resting on my leg in the car), some apps occasionally think there is no wifi connection when there is (and being used by other apps). Aesthetically, it's a bit boxy for my taste. ART runtime isn't ready for actual use (causes the system to "update" 66 apps when I boot, extending boot time to about 5 mins, every time).

I came from a Galaxy S3 and so far I'm really loving my new device. I was really close to getting the S5 but a few days/weeks after the S5 announcement, I started to read about the Note 4. It was a loooong wait but well worth it. The screen is amazing and just the size alone will make surfing the web and watching videos a lot more enjoyable.
I've played with the S-Pen and really enjoy it, which brings me to my question. I can't seem to figure out how to use the s-pen like a mouse when selecting text. I know there is an slightly different method using Air Command for this type of thing but I'm looking for the mouse-like text selecting. I thought that all I had to do was hold the button on the s-pen then drag and slide to select but it's not working for me. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Just hold the button on the S-Pen and hover over the text and you'll see a line that will allow you to select the text.

My wife bought a 6+ when it was released. I've used it some.

From the original Galaxy ---through--> Galaxy S4 -> Note...skipped the S5 because I had the Note II -> Note III -> Now .....NOTE 4
Extremely happy with it. Can't gripe about much but here are some things I really wish they kept on or added*:
USB 3.0
Tempreture Sensor
Humidity Sensor
Speaker on the bottom and not on the back like it is now on the Note 4
4GB of RAM*
Here are the things I'm very grateful for:
The best screen EVER to date
Faster CPU
Faster GPU
METAL!
Better Camera/Sensor
Slightly bigger battery
Relocation of the SIM and microSD slot! No longer have to remove battery like you did on the Note 3
Redesigned rear cover (MUCH better, no more fake stitching)
Curved 2.5D screen
Heart Rate/O2 Sensor
UV Sensor....ehhh...either way pretty cool, but I'd rather have a TEMP and HUMIDITY sensor instead
METAL!
Did I say METAL?!
Finally what we've all been waiting for. A phone that feels like a million bucks in your hand.

I didn't hate it. I'm not an iPhone guy, but my wife loves it. She hated her Android phones, so she's happy. That's good for me.

I agree with you on that. My wife loves her iPhone as well.

The latest device I came from is the LG G3. Before that from last year, I went through the Xperia Z, HTC One M7, LG G2, Xperia Z1, before settling on Nexus 5.
I love the Note so far, first note I've tried. One thing I don't like is the lag from pressing the recents button, but I can live with it. Also not fond of the gap on the right side as I constantly have to blow the dust out, but again I can live with it. All in all best phone I've used so far and touchwiz is not as bad as it was before.
One thing though, I do like to use the pen to write my texts or Web addresses sometimes, and it's quite finicky in terms of recognizing what I type out. Sometimes I have to erase and retry several times which is annoying.

[Q] Is Galaxy Note Better than Galaxy S2 after 2-3 weeks usage?(India)

Hi Guys,
I am about to buy Galaxy Note. But from reviews from my friends,Galaxy S2 is much better than Galaxy Note.
Please Help me to choose Galaxy Note or S2.I know this thread might be repeated, but all those reviews where when the Galaxy Note was Just launched.
Hope you would share your views on both.
Thank You!
SGS2 has a pathetic battery, if you can deal with that, then go for SGS2. If you like the big screen and SPEN then the note is for you.
Also SGS2 has a strange greenish hue in the camera pictures, while pictures from the note is perfect.
I have both. I am going to sell my S II though. In my opinion:
1. In terms of OS optimizations S II is better. But it is quite normal as Note has just arrived. And with every firmware update Note is getting better.
2. Battery life on S II is not 'Pathetic'. With right setting and optimizations you can easily enjoy more than a day's service with a single full charging. However with similar usage you will get better battery life in Note.
3. Screen in note is wayyy better than S II (I bet you know that already!).
4. GPS on Note is better here in Bangladesh. I went India last month My note's GPS was very very good. SII was ok.
5. One hand operation in note is quite troublesome. But you can do things with this big screen which are impossible in S II.
6. Stock apps in Note and S II are pretty similar. However some apps have more features in Note.
7. In my experience camera in both devices are very similar. I did not have any problem with my SII camera.
Both are very good devices. You wont regret with any of these. If price is not a factor and if you feel comfortable with the size, go for the Note.
BTW, stick to Xda-Developer. Without the goodies you'll find in Xda no matter what android device you get, it is destined to suck.
Thank you.
Hackerboi sums it up quite well.
Mostly it is a matter of what you want your phone for:
1. Note: if you want to write/sketch, do business related work on a large screen, watch videos on large screen, read on a large screen
2. GSII: if you need a phone in your pocket with which to text, engage in social media, music, navigation and other general smartphone stuff.

I have both, the SII and the Note. I much prefer the Note. If you don't mind the size that is. It's not as optimized (OS wise) YET. and I really mean YET. My SGSII wasn't the greatest the first day either, it took a few updates. I haven't had any crashes or anything like that on my Note. Battery life is SUPERB. Last night (after a full day, mostly working, admitting I didn't use the screen a lot) I had 75% battery left when I went to bed. I woke up and still had 60% with wifi, 3g, bluetooth on, and actively syncing. So I know today, Saturday, I'll get through another day with the battery. I'm hydrating up now to go for a run (with the Note) and use Endomondo, which is a great app.
Screen is FANTASTIC on the Note. The screen is also good on the SII. They're both good devices, but they're also very different. GPS on the Note is REALLY good, SGSII is OK. It takes a little to get a lock. Screen size on the note is the best. S-pen helps me out a lot. I use it to jot down notes super fast. The screen size also helps with typing (a lot less guessing on behalf of the phone).
I'd go for the Note, but be warned, it's big and comfortable one handed use is out of the question. I can make a call, read emails and browse sites with one hand, but ANY form of real interaction is also out of the question.

I don't see why it's uncomfortable. Well, since the phone is wider, you need to know where to place your ear, after a few phone calls you'll instinctively know where to put it. I guess it does look weird from the point of view of an iPhone user, or a Blackberry device. This phone is HUGE. Check out this link with some comparison pictures of other phones I have around the house.
Frankly, I'm comfortable with it. It doesn't bother me. The experience of the large screen is everything I could ever ask for in a mobile device:
Great battery life
Large Screen
Great camera
Easy typing experience with keyboards
I hope I've helped.
It can be a little awkward making a call using the note at first but trust me I had no issues at all in a couple of days. It seems like the perfect size for me now. Apart from the size factor the note beats the s2 in many ways. Go for it, you wont be disappointed.

The vast majority of people who say that haven't really used the phone for any signifigant period of time.
My guess would be, the 'getting used to it' hump is probably 1 week. After that, if you are still happy with the size of the phone, then the phone just gets better and better after that.
- Frank
Thinking of getting one of these. Glad to see the pocketability is good. Since I don;t buy cases this should not be an issue. I would imagine an Otterbox on this would put it it in "man purse" territory LOL
Just waiting for more optimization and lower used price points because I intend to keep the SGS II as a back up until I am sure the Note is better. Alos am concerned about losing my MediaNet UL data plan...Not sure I want to pay $220 more a year for 600MB of Carrier data I use over the 200MB plan.

T-Mobile Flex vs VZW Note2.. Its what I'm coming from

Despite the fact I'm posting from my note2, I do own the Flex. I've had it for less than 24 hours, and I have my first impressions.
On my first charge, I experienced sub-par battery life compared to my Note2 on Verizon running Beans22 which is underclocked in both CPU and GPU.
I have switched from Verizon to T-Mobile and I get very similar reception on both phones (LTE) at home, and HSPA+/3g at work. Must be same cell tower for both carriers. I live and work in Ashburn VA, and I'm positive of the towers location.
I use my phone a lot for gaming, particularly Heroes of Order and Chaos. I don't think the Flex can handle that game as well as Note2 in regard to battery life. Performance is about the same...
Network lag on Tmo is worse than VZW, but the bandwidth on TMO is nucking futs. 30mbps TMO vs 12mbps VZW. I don't know what's up with the lag.
Screens. I have to give it to the Note2 for quality, but I love the size of the Flex's screen. I like the curved appearance. That's unique and worth the trade off in quality.
Quality is weird here. Resolution is the same, it its the grainyness I'm not liking, and it noticeable in solid textures such as the drop down menu. Brightness.. I haven't tested outdoor yet. That's a true test for me, but I will have to get to it later.
I love what LG has done with the interface. Its like having a custom ROM without the problems associated with a custom ROM. Add root, new battery icon, and remove ads, and I'm set. I have yet to do these just yet, but I will, and functionality will be that of my rooted Note2. Won't have the ability to under and over clock as I do with my Note's unlocked bootloader, but oh well.
Camera. Note2 all the way. There are tons more features, and low light quality on the Note blows away the Flex. I'm not happy with the Flex's camera actually, and it may be a determining factor in returning this device and getting the Note3. I haven't tried video as I don't shot much video in real life.
Button placement. Man that's just something you have to adapt to I suppose. I'm still fumbling around with the power button so I understand up using the knock function a lot, but sometimes it just doesn't work. That's kind of annoying. Sometimes I have to knock several times to get it to work. sometimes it works the first time, and when it does there is a lag.
Note2 has capacitive back and menu buttons along with a physical power button. I really love that because at all times you maximize your screen real estate because its not being consumed by the on screen buttons. If you subtract the on screen menu button real estate from the Flex and compare that screen size with the Note2, they are about the same in size, the Flex being a bit wider.
Note3 for me maybe?
Any questions, let me know I will be happy to answer them.
Cheers!

I'm also coming from the note 2 but I disagree with the battery life statement. I'm getting like 10 hours screen time with this when I would only get like 4 or 5 from the note. This phone is a beast.
Otherwise everything else I agree with. Display, picture, sound, etc were all better on the note, albeit by not a whole lot.
Overall I'm satisfied with the phone. The aesthetics are nice, screen size is exactly what I wanted, battery life is phenomenal and it's super fast.
Sent from my LG-D959 using xda app-developers app
You can hide the buttons on your lg flex without root. Battery life is worlds better on the flex even better than the note 3. Besides display i seen nothing on Samsung that's better imo. I did like my note 3 for pics but haven't really checked the flex yet. I really like my flex better than the note 3 or 2. Out would've been far superior if the flex would've had the 1080p display. Can't wait till second generation of the flex.
Funny thing is i liked my note 2 Better than i do my note 3. But at the same time i like the flex better than both. Glad to have had all three. There are all great devices,
Sent from my LG-D959 using Tapatalk
Yea, they are all great, and great for different reasons.

is it true that when you crank the brightness up over 50, any "graininess" on the screen is pretty much gone?
surprised to hear the camera isnt up to par with the note 2..

Yes, its true, the brighter you set the display, the less you see the grain. Also being in a bright environment helps too such as outdoors or in a well lit room.

Dude, I'm totally thinking the same thing. Its not that I don't notice it, I simply can't find the grainyness even if I look for it. I'm mean its there... But not like I remember it
Sent from my LG-D959 using Tapatalk
sometimes, when a thought is planted in your mind, you go out of your way to look for things..
after a day or 2, when you just chilllax and use it as normal, you dont see what you were obsessed with b4
or, its actually possible after a few days, the display "Breaks in" somewhat..sort of like not calibrating a TV until you have at least 100 hours or more on it...

Also coming from a Note 2. Unless they are side by side i feel the G Flex is smaller, i think its because the curve and small bessel. So if this was a flat 6 inch it would probably look and feel bigger. I forget its in my front picked. Lol. Enjoying it.
Thanks for the thread guys. I've got a note 2, but getting bored (it's been a year in one phone which is very new to me). Don't really want a note 3 because it's basically a slightly bigger version of what I have. I'm really thinking about the flex. Glad to see some reviews of actual owners who have had both.

Mainly the on screen buttons annoy me. Sometimes when I'm typing , instead of hitting the space bar I end up hitting the home button.
The screen quality
Sd card
Stylus
Minusus:
I hate touch wiz. It doesn't bother me on my note 2 because it's rommed.
Don't like Sammy radios

Not curved. I love the Flex for that

In not a big Touchwiz fan either. It just provides me the opportunity to do different things with the stylus and multitasking. I do think the curve firm factor could be useful.

I find the multitasking on the lg UI more intuitive than Touch Wiz. I did use my stylus on my note2 only for taking notes, but the Flex had a wonderful note app that I like more, and I use my fingernail, and the screen has no issue detecting my fingernail

I'm going to buy Tab S 10.5 Tonight

After learning about the official specs for the Nexus 9, I decided to get the Tab S 10.5.
The Nexus 9 turned out to be a huge disappointment, aside from the Tegra K1 chip and stock Android. Let's see:
- smaller screen size
- lower resolution
- slightly lower ppi
- smaller battery
- higher price tag (for a Nexus device)
- only 2 GB of RAM
- thicker bzels
- no stereo front speakers
- thicker and only a few grams lighter, despite being a whole lot smaller
I'm aware that I'm kind of comparing apples to oranges, as they're different screen sizes, but they're *my* choices.
I'm seriously disappointed with Google for botching the Nexus 9. It could've been awesome... The Nexus 6, however, is one damn nice phone.

Yup, been waiting all year for the announcement and just getting more and more disappointed as the rumours trickled out. You don't mention what was the real deal-breaker for me: the 4:3 aspect ratio . Have they never tried to watch a movie on an iPad ffs?
Picked up my new Tab S 10.5 on Thursday to find a great offer just started (here in the UK anyway). Warranty extended to 3 years, £50 of Play Store credit and a free 32GB micro-SD card thrown in!
This is the first Samsung device I have owned. I was willing to give Touchwiz a try but I'm afraid it only lasted a day. I had been a bit worried about all the talk of lag around here. I can confirm it is there but very, very slight and as far as I can see is completely confined to the stock launcher and its widgets.
I now have Nova laid out the way I like it with 3 home screens full of scrolling APW widgets for news, Twitter, agenda etc as well as Google Now stuff and I can tell you everything behaves beautifully and as smooth as butter. The underlying Android menus which Samsung have fiddled with always were very smooth even with TW launcher.
This is one beautiful piece of kit and my only regret is having hung on so long for news of the Nexus.

As I said replacing TW's launcher with Nova Launcher was enough to get rid of all signs of lag for me . It would be nice to get rid of more of the Samsung bloatware just on principle but unfortunately some of us are too reliant these days on root-detecting apps which makes rooting more trouble than it's worth.

Yes, Nova Launcher helps considerably. I've been running it on all my devices since its first beta. Good stuff.
was waiting for nexus 9
but now i hate it is very disappointment

Indeeed, the Tab S has great hardware, but terrible software. My 16GB RAM has over 4GB of "system files" out of the box. This is totally unacceptable in my book.
I'll root this sucker and uninstall the crap as soon as my return period is up.

Yep, and if they are anything like the M8's speakers, they will blow away the Tab S's. Having said that I still think the Tab S is an overall better device. The worst thing about the Nexus 9: it looks like an ipad.
The worst thing about the nexus 9 is the smaller screen and higher price tag.
I bought one the other day instead of getting the iPad Air 2. So far so good. Only thing I need to get used to is holding in landscape all the time. I never turn my iPads to landscape.

Same here. Nova makes a huge difference. Rooting for me is a no go on this device as well for the same reason.

Sad though that a manufacturer as large as Samsung can't get its own software to work smoothly on its own flagship device when a little outfit like Nova can get their stuff optimized just fine
I've come from the Galaxy note 10.1 2012 edition which was also a great tablet but this Galaxy S is just a stuipdly good tablet and you can pick up some recon bargains from Argos now too, got mine for £329 - it came brand new in opened box, looks like it had been opened and then just returned, still had plastic cover and all cables were still bagged etc.
Screen is simply amazing in the dark, still get inky blacks in pitch black, however there is a greeny colour cast orsomething to it in daylight when the birghtness is turned down and the headphone volume could be about 30% louder (system\etc default volme tweaks dont work for me for some reason).
I just bought a 10.5 last night and I couldn't be happier. The screen is amazing! Haven't experienced any lag but I put nova launcher on it rite away since I always use it on my phones. Loving it so far
I think Tab S is a good choice.. I have one question though.
How to hold the Tab S in protrait mode as I keep pressing the menu or back key.. Please help.

Hold it lower or use one hand - it's light enough ! This is my first Samsung and I need to get used to the hardware buttons - especially since they decided to put Back and Recent the other way round to normal Android.
They say it takes 30 days for our brain to form new habits. Oh well, only 3 weeks to go now .

Note 3 vs. Note 4 - for anyone still on the fence

Had a friend record a video and I produced it, just in case anyone is on the fence about upgrading or is trying to decide if the price jump is worth it!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBDR-jqLTf8
Had the note 3 and sold it due to its proximity sensor not working. Wish I hadn't. Have the note 4 now and love it. To be honest the only real difference to me is the new build quality. Less plastic and more metal.
The note 3 seemed just as fast and great. I would have bought another note 3 but they were selling only 100 euros less than the note 4
Some it was better in note 3...note 4 is needed updates asap
I have all the Samsung Note.
The difference for me between a Note 3 and 4 is all speed and screen.
I'm so happy with the upgrade and I must say I didn't expect to be so impressed about the difference.
So satisfied, but battery is hopelessly bad .
Like Note 1 and 2 the battery drain is ridiculous.

No the sensor was not installed properly and since the device was rooted the knox was tripped. So warranty no go!
I always rushed in upgrading Samusng phones like I bought note 2 and note 3 brand new after few days of launch but not any more. I believe the price difference is not worth spending as of now so I am waiting for price to go down.
I got my upgrade yesterday from note 3 to note 4 and apart from the build quality and the camera there doesnt seem to be that much of a difference if im honest.
i use it for work and was a little disappointed that knox was not available on the 910f model yet, i also tried my knox but that doesn't work on this model at the moment either.
apart from that it's all good ☺
It's not a 'shut up and take my money'
It's like a 'go back to the labs'
note edge looks more attractive. if it has borders on 4 edges I would say 'shut up and take my money'
I'll hold my N3 for a while. the gap prices are short in my country.

I'm sure Samsung know that metal is less than ideal on a phone, it's a stupid fad.
Note 4 has sharp edges too. It also has that bevelled edge to the glass which is great if you run without a protector but terrible if you do I hated the 2 for that.
Definitely not moving from the 3 to a sharp edged phone, my 4 upgrade in January will most likely get sold immediately.

Really 910F doesn't support MyKnox app?
Is this temporary? Or F doesn't include any knox chips or whatever?
Still testing knox on my 910C and seems that it's pretty nice feature.

I've managed to get it working after some manual setup. It threw me as 910f was missing the knox website but that should be changed soon.

I'm so sorry for You but even if Knox was tripped You can ask for a repair in warranty if You live in Europe. I'm a consumer lawyer and for my clients I always get warranty service from Samsung even if they try to refuse the reparations.
I am decided to stay on note 3. Then....

My experience with the Note 4 is almost the opposite, apart from the screen. Battery life on my Note 4 is very good, at the end of the evening always between 30 and 40% left.
Speed of the device is a different story, stutters all over the place. Totally random, while switching launcher pages, scrolling through calendar or contacts (appr. 120 contacts) and other apps with "list view". My Note is 100% stock.
Not to forget, the fingerprintscanner is an annoying piece of hardware. Having my right thumb fingerprint registered 3 times I always have to swipe more than once/twice in order to unlock.
I'm absolutely not happy with the "update"!!

Well I would have done that, I live in Germany but it would have taken them quite a bit of time. I sold it for 500 euros and explained the issue to the buyer. I bought a nexus 5 and Nexus 7 2013 with that money. To my surprise the Nexus series do NOT accept USB OTG natively. I had to get Stickmount from Chainfire to use any additional storage. It really made me wish for my note 3 back even with the sensor issue.
When my wife got the s5, I immediately realized why I like Touchwhiz and its lag. It comes out of the box with a lot of features that other devices need root for..
Like USB OTG
Customized quick settings
All share, (no need for all cast)
Also its cameras are always better with its features.
Plus micro sd
Battery removal and last but not least, It comes with in my opinion the best screens. I love Super OMLED.

It sounds like you don't have the latest firmware.
I can't make my phone lag at all.
I can scroll as fast as I in contacts (988) pictures (764)
with out any lagging.
If you take a picture and press the photo on the left lower corner.
If it doesn't pop up instantly I guess your phone is on the same firmware as min was before I updated.
It was lagging in every way before update.

You're right, I don't have the latest firmware.
i got note4 cheap so upgrade was right to do.
in my opinion they polished everything that was not so good on note3 like edge, camera, adding fingerprint lock, front camera, fast charge and for me usb 2.0.
but if someone would ask me would you pay 50% more to get note 4 i would say no.
Biggest disadvantage on note 4 is that he does not have temperature and humidity sensor (((

S5 to S6 Decision

I'm planning on upgrading in a few weeks. My question is for folks who went from the S5 to the S6.....
Is it worth it? Can't pull the battery. No SD card slot.
Are you impressed? Pissed? I've done a lot of reading on the S6, but, I would rather hear it first hand from yall.
I came from a Note 4. I am happy with the S6. Have not rooted yet. Just waiting to see more thoughts and app support for 64 bit. Screen is clear and very bright. It's very manageable in my hand. Easy to text. I got the 64gb version
Because I take a ton of pics. I think with a little dev support. This phone will fly faster then how it is now. Do get a case though. I think I cam honestly wait till the S7 whenever that comes down the road. Camera is amazing.
Overall I'm very happy.

Would love some sickness over here.
I will more than likely be here in a few weeks.
also had a Note 4, and pretty much agree with the other poster; fantastic display, ultra smooth and fast,(not using touchwiz), battery is fine after a few days, and the built in wireless charging makes keeping the battery charged a breeze, camera is incredible, and I thought I would miss the ext sd card, but with a 64/128 gig phone, and such easy access to large cloud storage, its a non issue for me.
Rooted easily, not much dev yet, but its only been out "officially" for a couple of weeks, so not concerned about that.
Zero regrets at this point..

Pretty much this for me too.
I had a G3. The stock rom was ok and Xposed tweaks made it better, but development never picked up like I had hoped. When the S6 came out, I sold the G3 and got a regular S6 64 GB. I thought I would miss expandable memory, but I haven't. The G3 camera was awesome but the S6 camera is even better. The screen is phenomenal — it blows everything else out of the water. The fingerprint scanner actually works and isn't some janky wannabe that was tacked on at the last minute. Touchwiz is...tolerable. I never thought I would say that about TW because every other Samsung phone I've owned made me want to flash another rom within a day of using it. TW has been toned down a notch. It won't sway anyone from stock android, but Samsung has definitely taken a step in the right direction. The S6 battery life sucked for the first few days, but then I read about the wifi calling & VoLTE bugs, so I disabled those and battery life has been better. I do miss having a removable battery. I bought wireless chargers for my bedroom and for work, and they do the job. Plus, the quick charge feature really helps. I have gradually changed my expectations regarding battery life. So instead of being irritated that the S6 does not have exceptional stamina, I just enjoy it for what it does offer.
If you typically get more than 24 hours on your S5, then you might make it to bedtime with the S6.
If you are a heavy user and don't want to (or can't) bump charge during the day, then you will probably be disappointed. But if you don't mind plugging in during the day, then I would say go for it.

Bro, luv this phone! Just went on vacation last week with the family took some priceless pictures! Feel, screen, lag free, battery is way better than expected! Just have to keep running the things you use not the things you don't. No different from the s2,s3,s4,or the s5. Went for the plane Jane s6. The edge was tempting, but I'm a diesel tech of 18 years, when I held it, I felt that no case out there would protect my abuse - just too exposed. Extremely happy with this device! Short of the Sickness touch of course! Love some direction on how to donate to you, YOUR why my decision to the s6 from the s5 was so difficult. That aside, IMO, overall this puts the s5 to shame.

I'll be here. Just have to sell my S4. I have a deal with my wife on upgrading. Long story.
Coming from s4 to note 4 now s6. S4 was awesome but now laggy for it's time also battery was horrendous. Not 4 was awesome the battery was amazing it lasted for ever. The screen was so crisp. My only issue was it was tooo big. I found myself fumbling in one handed operation. And my thumbs were pulling muscles. Coming from those devices i feel this phone is unstopable as far as speed/lag. The camera is way better as far as clarity and speed. The quick double press of the home button to open the camera is genius. No regrets accept the larger screen was nice for movies and web browsing but i would rather be able to one hand it. Sd card is no issue with 64 gig plus. The memory is much faster and shows in performance. Battery pull is a non issue with power and volume down. Does the reset just fine. The battery life on the s6 is fantastic. Very close to the note 4. I cant compare to the s5 but i get way better battery life than the s4. One thing I am not fond of is the new TW app drawer. You have to hit an alphabetical sorting button every time you add apps other wise it just adds them to the end. Also you cant scoll through apps past the letter z. It wont go to A. You have to scroll left through all the apps backwords. Also it groups tons of apps by folders, like google apps in one and social apps in another. No way to change it. Yes i know there is nova and others but i liked the old touchwiz the way it was. Nova cant scroll past letter Z either. All in all I think you are going to be very pleased with this new upgrade. I cant wait to see what you can do with it. It will be SICK.

@The Sickness
I never had a S4 or S5 but I saw your rom features, and it looks pretty sweet. One thing though: Is it possible to mod the stock messaging app with option to delay sending sms for a few seconds? CM has this feature, which is the only thing I miss from CM.
Edit: Never mind. Textra offers delayed sending, I will try that.
Get it sickness, this phone is awesome.. I honestly didn't expect to love my GS6 this much.. Best decision I've made, definitely worth the upgrade, the camera is f*ckin awesome.. Touchwiz has been scaled back significantly and not to mention how sexy this phone is..
EDIT: plus the finger scanner makes much more sense this time around lol, battery life was good IMO, when I first got the phone I noticed significant battery drain, but the more I use the phone it seems like the battery life is getting better, the only thing I miss from my s5 is the waterproofing, that was one less thing to worry about, also this phone has a glass back, so I'd suggest you had a case or some kind of glass protector for the back, and a screen protector on the front
I got my S6 today. I've only had it for about 5 hours so far but holy cow this thing is amazing!! The screen and the camera are ridiculously clear, apps load way fast, and so far the battery is holding up better than my S4 did with similar usage. @The Sickness you won't be disappointed!!
