I am in US now but travel to Canada a lot. Does the north American version support all bands for late in Canada?

Depending who you roam on in Canada, will use different bands but basically in short, this phone will have all the bands you ever need in North America.

[Q] Sony C6602 Working in Canada? C6602/3 Speedtests?

Has anyone been able to import a c6602 into Canada and have it working on Rogers or any other carriers 3g network?
Snapshots of speedtests would be awesome...
I would also love to see speedtests of the c6603 in Vancouver with Rogers
I have ordered the c6602 and should be here in Winnipeg by Thurs. I will update how it works on bell as I use it.
I received my c6602 today in winnipeg. I am operating on bell using 850 1900 bands and have speed tests over 8 mbps. I ordered my white c6602 from omegacell.com I think it would be nonsense ordering c6603 considering ppl in GTA have ordered it and do have the lte bands required and lte still doesn't work. Lol. I'm completely satisfied with 8 mbps. .

Forgot to take a screenshot but I have a c6603 and I get about 7 mbps in Vancouver on Rogers. I'm hopeful somehow we can get LTE on this thing. I'm sure missing it.

Which international phone?

Could someone tell me which one would work on an ATT network? Kinda confused cause I think the HTC one has different frequency bands depending on what country you are in. I would like a international one cause I have to travel overseas alot. Would the handtec one work? Thanks.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
It only has to work on GSM networks to be an "international" phone
Handtec works

Thanks for the replies. Do any of you know what speed I would get? LTE? 4G? Thanks.
If it isn't a US region One, you will only get HSPA+ at best.

Is the HTC One's sim tray unlocked?

At my second job my company is sending me a Sprint HTC one to use as my work phone and they want me to activate it on my Sprint account or they'll pay the deposit to open the account if there's one. But where I live I don't good coverage from them and there 3G is SUPER SLOW, I can't really stand the sucky service in my area. I Have T-Mobile and have good coverage where ever I go and was wondering if the sim tray in the Sprint Htc one is Unlocked so I can just activate with my T-Mobile account and pop in a T-Mobile SIM card. If any one can please confirm this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
No

I'm 99% sure it's a no. T-Mobile uses different radios from Sprint, I think AT&T and T-Mobile use the same radios, which is why you can use unlocked AT&T phones on T-Mobile.

I'm sure those bands don't exist anywhere significant.

It says the HTC one has been modified for sprint and it doesn't confirm that the phone supposes gsm on the sheet it only specifies CDMA and lte frequencies

According to some Sprint forums it is a world phone. It just isn't unlocked.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
A world phone can have many different interpretations such as using a gsm network somewhere else or just roaming outside the us and we can all roam outside the us such as mexico which is domestic roaming and I think that is also considered a world phone since ur using it somewhere else

In the OP's case, a discussion as to whether the phone is SIM locked or unlocked on the One is completely moot because the Sprint variant of the device does not possess the GSM or UMTS/WCDMA frequency bands needed to operate in most of the Americas, including the United States. It only does GSM 900/1800 and UMTS 2100. In other words, even if it was unlocked for other companies' US GSM or UMTS SIM cards it wouldn't be able to get any signal in the US, or for that matter, anywhere in most of North, Central, or South America or in other parts of the world where the GSM or UMTS 850 or 1900 MHz bands are used.

According to this article, which I have linked several times on here in response to this question, the ONE on Sprint most likely has GSM 900/1800mhz capability. Which is the GSM most all of the world uses except for the US. That is why it is a "World Phone."

Partially true since this does not only apply to the US specifically. See my post right before yours.

Fixed that for you. You could not use it in the US.
but even by flashing a customized firmware once the phone has been rooted the phone is unable to manage others sim cards?
is there any change to remove the sim lock somehow?

Even if it was sim unlocked it wont work. Its a hardware limitation, not a software one. It cant run on the frequencies that North America uses for GSM.
It does run frequencies that we run here in the us. It supports 1900 and 2100 utms. 850 and 900 gsm. Both are used here in the us by at&t and t-mobile.

Isnt it hardware limited to a point where it cant operate on a 3g/hspa gsm data network? i.e. if you do sim unlock and take it to a gsm carrier you will not get anything over 2g/edge speed?

[Q]Model of Z3C sold in Sony Store

Sorry of this has been asked before but I couldn't find it.
Does anyone know what model of the Z3C is being sold in the US Sony Store (see link below) -- i.e. is it one of the same models that is being sold unlocked (ie. D5803 or D5833)? Which one?

I have heard it does, from what I can see the model numbers are just to determine what market the unit came from..
The D5833 has extra LTE capabilities but other than that no further difference

Pretty sure this is wrong. D5833 does Not have correct bands for LTE on AT&T or T-Mobile.
Right- it's the other way round- D5803 is US, South America. D5833 doesn't have the required US bands.

Well my device is from the UK.. Do they usually still work in the US then?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Free mobile app
you can check the bands in which the two models work on. and see if your country and carrier uses those bands. some countries can use either but some countries needs one specific model because of the freq bands used.
That varies by phone model and brand. Apple and Samsung can load quite a few bands in a single model. Sony tends to have fewer bands in a given model, though D5803 has quite a few by Sony standards. I believe D5803 is the model sold in the UK and that model does also work for US LTE.

I have a D5803 in the US using ATT. I get full coverage and all signals like my ATT branded phones. It should work just as good with T-mobile also.
So...back to my original post question...does this mean that the model being sold on the US Sony Store is the D5803?
Yes it's the D5803 according to Sony.

Anyone know the firmware that comes when sold in store

Buying OP3T from USA to be used in Jordan

Hello all,
I live in Amman, Jordan, and I want to buy OP3T midnight black edition from oneplus website in USA, my question:
Will it work normally in Jordan? Its bands will work world widely?
Is there any problem if I used it outside USA?
Thanks in advance
Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
It look that 4g LTE won't work you can check the attachment
You won't be able to connect to LTE in Jordan using a NA model, as all the cellular carriers only broadcast on band 3. For full compatibility, you'll have to get either the Euro/Asia or Chinese model.

As a rule of thumb, there is no such thing as a phone that works right on any network in the world. You always have to check the band support before buying: 3G and especially LTE.
So you're right to come on here and ask, before buying.
Only the phone will work up to 3G but you will not get 4G (LTE) working as the band used in Jordan is 3 and US model does not have that band.
Better buy it from OP's Hong Kong store or from some Chinese e-commerce website. There is a big chance you will get the A3010 model (Chinese model) if you buy it from those website.
