[Q] About 4X HD - LG Optimus 4X HD

Hello, few questions since I'm new in the area 4x HD ...
I am android developer, at least when I had a Galaxy 5, Ace, Yung, Xperia Play and now with Galaxy S5 and 4x HD ....
My questions are:
I'm from Brazil, I can use new baseband germany? Currently I use a EUR-xxx (20b)
There CyanogenMod 10.2 stable for him?
and the last, where I find spirit fm for 4x hd?
I will answer as your editing the topic as "completed question"
Thanks in advance

Hello! I'm from Brazil too, and I'm using V20D Turkey (AME), working good. I'm curious to install this german rom to see if something happens about RIL. I'll flash that when I have more free time.
About CM, theres's no CM 10.2 stable rom, just nightlies. Only CM 10.1 is stable. See here: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=p880&type=stable
On Play Store you can find Spirit FM for download. Here on XDA there's a discussion thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059296 and this other thread specifically about LG P880 and Spirit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2294008.

I really don't know what changes between basebands (A, B, C or D), but all of the V20 versions are Jelly Bean 4.1.2. Unfortunatly, LG doesn't give a **** anymore about updating our phone... :'(

Yes, I forgot that. But no version updates, like 4.2.2 or 4.3. Here in Brazil LG stopped at V10C. Good ICS, but not rootable. Do you know if that V20C will work in a different country, like Brazil?

I think that in version 20C, like 20B, there are security fixes.
LG does not write about it because a shame to write about it.

For the 3G, check if you have the right Access point in the settings/wireless and then mobile settings and then the access points.if not the right one, you can add your access point...if you dont know ...google for your operator and region and insert the information there
For Camera check if it is related the no flash selection....if it is not selected, u need to select flash....
Why don't yu update to latest nightly through clockwork. Or yu can get getRIL and match RIL with baseband

The positive thing is that LG is almost running out of letters for their V20 GB releases, now only u v w x y z. Almost V30....ICS? (froyo was V10x)
When the letters inevitably runs out it may be the start of the symbols era::laugh::laugh:

For ICS i have the feeling that lg may copy from CM and use v40 instead of v30 (it's only my opinion)...
Returning on topic, some people suggested (Hope dies last) that may be the a preparation for the big ics jump... But i'm very skeptical about it...
(i know that my english is sh*t)
I think ICS for o2x is still far coz they would not still work on GB (v20t?) if they were to release ICS soon
still they are releasing gb 2.3.4 at least they should have to update their version from 2.3,4 to 2.3.7

Hm, why should they have done it? Only to have the latest 2.3 Android version, or is there a solid reason why you're asking that?
2.3.3 brought us dual core improvements, 2.3.4 the improved Gtalk (voice + video calling).
2.3.5 to 2.3.7 are mainly updates/bugfixes for the Nexus S (and AOSP apps like camera). There's no real need in adapting these - and as there's always the possibility to break other things by a version bump I can understand the decision to stay on 2.3.4.

If they wished ago then they'd have but They wont now as their next is ICS and they wont upgrade kernel either for ICS as thats(ICS) is the last support they've to give for Optimus 2x.

No they have to make GB perfect which almost is before going to ICS otherwise ppl will complain neither stable gb they've to use nor stable ICS, as early ICS build are supposed to have bugs
And after making gb perfect they will merge their latest gb changes directly to ics so less work for them
Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk
If LG wants to perfect GB for releasing an update to ICS, we can wait an extremely long time...sometime around 2250...
They also can start this way v21a,v21b...
So we can keep GB 4ever

Here in Sweden we just got 4.1.2. So i assume we have some monts of waiting..
Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will be revealed for the new Google Phone during Google I/O in May 2013.
So hope to get the 4.2 in May.
Exact but it is not small differences between the 4.1.2 and the 4.2..So i prefer to update direct to 5.0

As been mentioned cm10.1 almost up and running on lte ...ive tryed it myself not bad like been said few bugs but nothing that wont be fixed within couple of weeks at most with luck..Not reall any full time let alone part time developers really working on it...maybe now the thing actually runs pretty well they might get there butts in to gear and finish rom off..lol and we shall become bloody enlightened with there wisdom...

It would be nice to see it came alive so we can try...

Now there is both CM10.1 in alpha and a RC of LiquidSmooth.
None of them is perfect yet, but with the speed of development the last couple of weeks I think its just a matter of days.
As mentioned in the previous posts, yea there are roms for 4.2.1/2 already! like CM10.1 and Liquidsmooth (4.2.2)
Personally I would say go for LiquidSmooth. For now, it has better support and lesser bugs
I've tried Android 4.2.1 with CM mod but it's a little bit disappointing. I can't see any real useful changes so far.

Best ROM on Optimus L7?

There aren't that many, the only ones I have seen are Simple blues (can't find any feedback for it), there is also CM which I am currently using, and a few others that don't have screenshots and english information. I want to try something else because music on CM is low as hell and the random reboots get annoying, what would you recommend?

Let Google release Kit Kat,
then let them release its source,
then let CM start working on nightlies,
let the nightlies stabilise a bit,
Non neon support has been dropped... HOPEFULLY some one using tegra device will manage to port it for us,
then maybe... who knows... depends on the nature of changes too...
Now how do you want the chances, using mathematics or statistics... should I use conditional probability
We only have official ICS, all of jellybean is unofficial...
i say enjoy the current candy, The ROM JB 4.3 is very much stable and usable as daily driver...
Hahahahahaha seriously? 4.3 is still being stabilized and you ask for 4.4 that is still not out? Geez, i love xda lol

fingers crossed. Well for those who can't wait for android 4.4 and just want to have a feel of it feel free to download the apks for it.
i dunno if it's true or not, but i read this "One of the key features of the new release is optimizations made to the OS, so as to be able to run smoothly on legacy devices with just 512 MB of RAM." but with that said, i think it will be only custom roms with the Optimus 2X that will give us Android 4.4 bcs i doubt that pre 2011 phone with Android will get updated like LG would give the Optimus 2x, Android 4.4 but i could be wrong...
well i think its time to say goodbye to O2X .....been using it for almost 3 yrs.it had good run....just ordered NEXUS 5......:laugh:
