Build 8.9 won't import contacts from SIM
As title says. It boots and works great, but I can't import my contacts from my SIM card. I put the card back in my old phone, and it reads it just fine. Not sure if the stock ROM for the HD was able to do it since I flashed the phone as soon as I got it going.
It's a great ROM otherwise, though. Love the simplicity.

Not the most smooth, but so far is working good. I was having serious delays when trying to turn de screen on, or on incoming calls. I don't know if there is a cause-effect, but after i installed greenify, the delay is shorter.
It is a great ROM. I still can't post in the main thread because I'm a newb, but I wanted to post a screenshot of what a combo of SlimKat and Werewolf kernel can do.
This is SlimKat 8.9 and Werewolf 009.

As a comparison, with the stock 4.1.3 ROM from LG and stock kernel, it was getting 14000-15000, so that's quite a difference. Battery life is also loads better especially when asleep.
Still would like to know why it can't read my SIM contacts. I hope it sees the SIM card. I haven't tried any calls or data on the phone since flashing it. Have to wait and see.
I'm having issues with the camera too. It's not just the still camera either. The video camera lags sometimes too. Just stops updating the screen and then picks up again later. Also the display breaks up when changing orientation in camera mode.
Just tried 8.8 and 8.6.1, and both have the issues. Not sure how to proceed. Is there a version that doesn't have camera issues? Not sure how this went several versions without getting noticed. It's painfully obvious that there's a problem. Just snapping a photo lags like crazy, and the video camera issue punches you in the face.

I am a new user here, I have been using xda websites since sometime and finally registered it. I find it more useful and helpful as there is a lot of learning and cost saving here .. Anyway coming to the question..
I tried to update my device as its mentioned in this thread

But I don't know why my phone bricked while I was doing it.
1. I had my phone rooted
2. Boot loader Unlocked
3. custom rom/gapps downloaded and pasted on the device
4. cwm updated using rom manager
But when I went to boot recovery I got some .image error message... Thanks to kdz flashing and LG flashtool that I got my phone back and some how upgraded to 4.1.2 as it was 4.0.3 before ..
So my request is can someone please post the exact procedure detailed in step by step so that a beginner like me can understands well. Or if you can provide a kdz file that is having OS version 4.4.X..

I'm using the Mourta-Kernel 8.20 to 3.4 and it works great. Sometimes he throws to consume battery with some wakelocks do not know what it is, but it seems the perfect combination for this rom. On 10 points, 9 points

Just thought I'd share my experience with CM12 for our beloved MB886. It was nothing short of a disaster. It keep crashing on me when I'd push it. Took 3 attempts to install a large app like Facebook. My first attempt had me do as CM suggests by migrating from CM11 to CM12. I installed both the ROM and GAPPS. Any app not compatible with Lollipop didn't show or work crash. I got a lot of stopped working errors.
So, it tried a factory wipe and installed again, same result. Installing new apps constantly caused it to crash for me. I upgraded from the 2/22 nightly to the 2/23 version same result. One last ditch effort using today's 2/24 fare no better.
Some other things I noticed:
1. Camera no longer allows you to save direct to your SD card (bummer given the space challenges we have with this device)
2. There's a move to SD card function, though I couldn't find where it was being stored, however it does show space on the SD card is being used when you look at storage in the settings. Also home screen icons to SD apps are lost on reboot. You're better off with Link2SD which saves the icons on your home screen. Again, another useful feature given the small memory we have.
3. Music player keeps crashing
4. Performance overall was faster till I'd get going then it'd crawl, freeze, and reboot on me
For now I reverted back to CM12 M12 and will make another attempt at Lollipop down the road. Hopefully there will be some M-Releases by then.

BLE Not Enable
Just for information. On my ATRIX HD this ROM did not enable BLE. Flashed AOSP and everything went back.

Hi is there any work around about the power button, you know that when you're in an app and press it then you unlock your phone, instead of seeing the app your into, you'll be on your home screen? Is there any to prevent that from happening?

Hi, i have a problem, when i try to copy some app to system/app (for example install keyboard Z3) i denied access to system and the operation is cancelled. In developer options i've selected administrative access (apps and ADB) but when i try install SuperSu to recovery, rom is bootloop and i've reinstall this. I have install the rom with two partitions. Help please

I'm getting system UI wakelock on this rom, anything can I do to fix this? Also *alarm* seems to be the longest wakelock, what does it do actually?

Also, sometimes flashlight button in notification tiles doesn't appear until the next reboot.
You sure it's bootloop? The first bootup will take some time, leave it about 10-15 minutes.
Unable to play Video
Hi.. I'm unable to play video files in the stock video player. I'm using RR v.5.4.2 on my Mi3.
However, videos play fine in a third party app like KMPlayer.
Please help.

Wifi & 3G won't connect while the screen is off.
Hi, I'm getting issue even with clean flash, my wifi doesn't seem to connect automatically when the screen is off.
Example of situation is:
1. Wifi modem is off (with password remembered on my phone).
2. On wifi connection (modem).
3. Phone doesn't connect to wifi until I on my screen, it will start establishing connection after a seconds or two after screen is on.
How can I fix it? Thanks.
Less touch sensitivity
Everything's okay with this ROM, just that I feel that the touch sensitivity is very less compared to stock and other ROMs. Is it only me ?

just download it from a PC and transfer it to the phone's internal storage - worked for me. Stop being lazy people! xD

Love the ROM but no lte and gos not quite working
How's the Mic working on this? In the past, video recording mic gain was very low or apps using two way video like skype etc had bad mic volumes.

Well i wanna change my rom but every time i use cm rom my game will always lag

Forgive me if I missed this info in any of the previous pages, or for just being too noobish, but is there a link to the revision notes (what's fixed/broken/added/removed/etc) for each nightly release? I like to keep on top of them so I don't complain about something that's already known or assume something that is broken is being looked at.

Performance Issues
I was noticing some performance issues such as dropped frames in games like asphalt 8 and even other less graphically intensive games. I even ran a quadrant standard benchmark and got some surprising results that I have attached to this post. Why is my phone performing so poorly and how can I fix it?
Unknown Sources not keeping...

I flashed the ROM on n910F and i edited updater-script to avoid error: This package is for etc etc. but after flashing successfully, i lost the baseband version and now no network. any help please.

Hi,
It is not going to make any difference, just a build.prop edit. Once official D5833 FW arrives, you can flash it and your model number will be back in place.
All D5803 fw's which are used on the D5833 edit the model number. I forgot to edit the build.prop in the ncb update, sry!
after flashing the rom,i got random bootloops.from initial boot until the phone gets into its normal state.i guess it has something to do with updating gapps..AND(i think)the phone should be atleast more than 75% of battery,because while my phone was booting,it was so hot that i have to turn it off for a few minutes to cool off first..but the rom is so smooth! thanks a lot @i360*

That happens when you flash lollipop on top of kitkat without a full wipe.
Install BetterBatteryStats and see which apps are rogue, uninstall and reinstall. Problem fixed

got it finally working now!yeah,i realized i have to fully wipe everything in order to prevent bootloops.sad to say all settings & datas have to go away & start all over again!
..but it's ok!what matters is it's perfectly wprking fine now! :thumbup:

Currently using the this ROM(6.2.0) with Korean language. It's good, but there's a typo in Advanced Settings(고급 설정) - Lock screen(잠금 화면) - Show pattern error(패턴 오류 표시). It says '패턴 오류 ㅍ시'.
This is the smoothest L rom yet. The only thing I miss is the days & dates option on status bar...

Hello, I am using this version and I'm having problems with the Wifi. It's very slow (I have an 150 Mbps connection and my SHV-e210k uses maximum 1 Mbps). I tried on 2 different Wifi networks and the result is the same.
I tried to flash a Wifi fixer, that someone has uploaded but no success.
There is any kind of specific configuration to have a better connection?
What could I do to repair it?

Slow charging
ROM is pretty good but phone takes too much time to full charge.....Is it the kernel issue??
I used last rom yesterday to morning..It is working all but when i am in %20 charge at 04:00 am..i saw my phone closed at 08:00 am..This is normal..I am using just whatsapp and playstore...

I think its a google problem. Ive got slow download too in any of my device.
