Plz don't kill me! I read, what's the problem? and where can I find the answer of my topic question?
Thanks

Why there's no answer, no one uses custom rom? If my topic has a problem say to me what is that.

Okay since you asked, your question literally clashes the rule of xda; never ask what is best
I strongly suggest trying every ROM that you found for locked bootloaders, and decide the one that worked best for you, rather than asking the community's preferences.
For a quick recommendation, use Bagyusz CM11 for locked bootloader if you prefer Cyanogenmod.

Thank you my friend.I think this is the only way for finding out which one is better , why I didn't see this rule , next time I should pay more attention :d.

If your bootloader is unlockable, I recommend unlocking it (but backup TA partition first). With that, you can enjoy almost anything with less risk of brick. Moreover, shortcut to fix things if your XSP was bricked.
For more ROMs visit this index thread, and see under the category "hijacked ROMs". Have fun!
Anyhow, here's the thread link to the ROM I have mentioned earlier.

Sry u said "with less risk of brick",is it true? I heared After unlocking bl u should be careful because it may brick your phone. So if I install an unistall roms on my lbl phone, it may brick while if I use unlocked bl there won't be any brick?

Please note the word "less"
Actually after unlocking, that is when you can enjoy freedom but still, possible brick is still there. What I meant by "less brick" is that, you can now flash anything on your phone, regardless if that particular something was built for locked bootloaders or unlocked bootloaders.
Compared to locked bootloaders, you must know what you are doing, or else may result in a brick.
I also assume that you know the differences between hard brick and soft brick. This post explains soft brick only.
So if I install an unistall roms on my lbl phone, it may brick while if I use unlocked bl there won't be any brick?

I am also confused with your question Let me answer with my best understanding..
You can't uninstall a ROM on your phone! Well at least, in the terms of such definition.. Second, if you use unlocked bl, possibility of brick is still there. Let's just say brick can happen anytime anywhere. There has been cases of which phones suddenly hard bricked when in fact the user does not do anything on their device! Always prepare for the worse.
--
To wrap things up, in a VERY general way, UBL gives you less brick risk.

kernel direct flash ?!!!

hello i heard from someone that we can flash kernels directly with our phones without using a flashtool , is that even possible ??!!!
OK, here goes,
If you heard that from another phone sub-forum, then yes your corretc, but if you heard it from this sub-foum, then no, its not possible
There was a discussion about it not long ago (i even joined the party ) but it was just a general discussion about it, and maybe in the near future it will happen, but for now, we are stuck with flashtool
what you heard about, was flashing kernel with ROM package via ClockWorkMod (CWM). hopefully, it will be possible but for now, im afraid not, but stay tunned for future
oh thx for your great and detailed explanation i think i'm not the only one who hope something like that to happen afterall

[Q] Check if bootloader is unlocked?

Hi.
So I know there can be very stupid sayings so immediately say:
I got my friend's Android , didn't tell me anything about it, but I know that it was ROOTED and stock ROM.
Now i am GingerDX 2.3.7, there werent any funny stuff, installed it good ( abt 4 months ago)
So I want to ask about the kernel and bootloader.
That's what I want to install
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672635
(Do not judge. I love Android, but I want iOS style. Simply do not buy an iPhone because I am not a millionaire. Do not flame.)
Or if you just dont want to click, it says:
"ROM requirements:
First latest baseband
Second Unlocked bootloader
3rd CWM Recovery
4th Best naa kernel / kernel Alf! "
Latest baseband - idk, mine ends with 015, as far as I heard its the latest (?)
Bootloader don't even know, really want o find out
CWM recovery is there
Kernel seems i have stock - (02/06/29 SEMCUser SEMCHost @ # 1)
So I want to ask you, how to know whether the bootloader unlocked / unlocked
What is my kernel?
Thanks for the answers, I hope there will be any. ( I HAVE USED SEARCH, DONT SAY THAT I TRIED IT.)
( Sry for bad english)

ive been on here for 1hour + and all people post about if how to install bootloader and stuff quit spamming and just help me out
This is everything you need
Scroll down and you'll find "How to check if your phone has an unlocked bootloader" simple tutorial.
If your phone's manufacture date is 11W29 or past 11W29, do not attempt to unlock bootloader as your phone might end in a hardbrick. How to know that? simply put out battery and you will see something like 11wXX in your phone

[Q]Walkaround flashing and ulocking bootloader for Root>Unroot

Guys i need to know if its possible to root the phone and unroot / take it back to warranty condition WITHOUT reflashing and unlocking bootloader.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCChDxc2_HE heres what i've found about unroot... but i am not sure in this method will it completely remove root binary and take phone back to warrantyN mode ?
Is it that hard question ?

No, but we get sick and tired of people asking the same questions over and over again because they are too lazy to actually put the effort in to searching and reading properly
Also, don't 'bump' your own thread within 24 hours - read the rules if you're not sure why.

That's the whole idea of a Q&A.. With every new (original) question the knowledge database grows. This allows other people to just search through the threads to find their answer. It's actually an easier way to find answers then creating a new thread, since you don't have to wait for reactions and usually the follow up questions are already elaborately discussed..
On topic: I believe some superusers have an option to unroot? And otherwise just reflashing stock is just as easy.

Alright then i renamed the thread. Because my question is about walkaround reflashing and unlocking bootloader.
Is it possible simply to root and unroot without reflashing and unlocking ?
When you root phone your root file is on system partition and you need to format it If you want to remove root.Hard reset don't format partition so that won't work.Update software should work but I am not sure.SuperS have ability to remove itself so if you root your phone with it you can done it fastest way. Also don't be smartass and mock people who are telling you to search for answer before posting topic and asking for help.It I is not polite. After all you are asking for help from us not the way around.

on topic: So i am on latest 4.1.2 if i force the support tool (from LG) will it reflash the phone with stock frimware after root ?
As i remember i read somewhere that actually it is possible to use some kind of "upgrade recovery" option with this tool which reflash phone.
off topic: Im not playing it smartass i've searched and couldn't find what i need to know. then i posted this thread.
So maybe someone should check if a thread exist actually without beign too lazy. before saying that he's sick of people.
And also renamed my thread to be more suitable to people who will be searching.

simon its too late mate... i renamed my thread alredy and i think you did not read that its about walkaound flashing and unlocking.
@tuncay93 in LG update tool should be option "force update" or something like that.BTW I think easiest method is just to flesh.dz file since it will format system partition for sure and you need only drivers that you must install even if you want to update regularly your software.Download SuperSu it should replace your current root app and then from SuperSu choose "remove SuperSu" .That is all I can think off.

Really? Simon is a long time member and he know what he's talking about. He might sound a bit mean sometimes but he's right!
I for myself created like one thread asking a question and the other things I sorted out myself with brief searching, reading and trying.
This question here has been answered already.
You're asking how to unroot without flashing back the stock ROM or unlocking bootloader.
It has been answered in this thread as well and a search (not just on XDA but on Google as well) would've get you to the same answers.
Simon can't tell you where to post and where not but he does as he is trying to get newer or ignorant XDA members to follow the rules.
And one of those rules is to search.
Not just a five minute look but a brief search even in related threads etc.
You won't learn anything by just asking and asking again but by trying and figuring out yourself.
So please do us a favor and stop posting unnecessary questions.
@laufersteppenwolf
I think this has gone way too far.
I know you're in hospital as far as I remember but maybe you can clean this thread if you get time to do so.
Thanks

1.By the first few words you said i suspect that you define the pople by their registration date at XDA.
2. I didn't found answer to my question thats why i made thread. [Ans. It is actually possible SuperSu will remove root [not sure what kind of remove but still....[ Flashing with support tool is the way but is still flashing]
3. I am not ignorant and new at XDA. I am new to 4x HD section. Also without reading and asking you can't learn anything. Thats the point of the forum.
4. And i think it was necessary question. Since i've searched and couldn't find what i needed to know.
Finding related threads about "How to root", "How to unroot" all say just unlock reflash and relock. Why ? I've just find out today that i can simply run support tool and all will be fine. (Also mine is 446-92 FW I'm not sure if relockable yet.)
Also that standing behind someone just because he says few words that he has read at "Rules" In wrong place....
And just because its old member it's not cool mate im sorry but thats what i think.

In lg support tool click options then upgrade recovery and you are good to go for warranty or whatever you need it for.

Let's get behind this rules etc thing but if you'd read more about root function and flashing a stock firmware you would've know that root is installed in system and that a simple reflash unroots your system.
That's what I mean with reading and understanding the way your modified android device works.
I don't know if it's just me but I did know nearly everything about root before even bothering to root my device just in case if something goes wrong I exactly know what to do.
The answers are out there. Most questions can be solved by searching but many users don't do it or they don't have enough knowledge of Android to understand the given output of their searches.
And no I don't define people by their registration date but by the way they post on XDA.
And I'm not supporting Simon because he has said a few words about rules. I'm supporting him because he's been a long time member and follows the rules.
And sorry but if somebody is criticizing your thread in a forum like XDA and you're responding with "STFU" shows me that you're ignorant and lacking respect.
The fact that Simon is doing this is to keep people from posting 10 threads about the same question (like they tend to do) but search and know what they are doing.
The problem with the community is that most new users just follow tutorials but don't know what to do if something goes wrong (and believe me there always will be something that goes wrong) and then they create threads like "help I bricked my 4X HD".
Like I said if you'd know what rooting actually does inside your device you'd know what to do with information you get when you search for unroot.
Let's assume you are a new user and you now install SuperSU and somehow it messes something up.
What will you do? Do you know enough to mess with an android device? I really don't want you to take it personal but that's the way you should think about it.
And I have one question: Why do you want to unroot your device without reflashing stock firmware and think that unlocking boot loader would be necessary to unroot?
(and just one hint: it's not "walkaround" but workaround what you mean I guess)

Okey I know what Root is. I have been rooting and unlocking all my phones i've used to switch roms. (I know that reflashing is the solution)
But the problem is as i said my 4x HD isn't EUR-XXX it's 446-92 (Asian one i suspect)
So unlocking is possible but couldn't really find info about relocking.
And i was in need of workaround as you said (My english is not good) Because my power button its not responsive and the phone still has warranty and that button its going to brick it keeps going more and more unresponsive.
So i didn't wanted to unlock and reflash because i may void my warranty in that case i still need it.

You don't need to unlock anything in order to reflash the stock firmware with LG Support Tool.
That's what I was talking about. You don't know this because you didn't read enough about this device.
And about your warranty: if you'd search in that topic you may acknowledge that rooting doesn't void your warranty in most places as long as the failure (in your case the power button) isn't related to the slight software modification.

Ye but i know here in my country all warranty providers are just looking for something that may void it and just root will void it i am sure.
But never thought support tool works after rooting or modification on software. i did not even think about searching for that you are right now.

Why the hell root for 4.3 is taking this much time?

Guys can anyone can tell me why 4.3 root is taking this much time?

hey .. there is a way to root 4.3 .. Mine is rooted already it`s not an easy way but can be rooted if you can unlock the bootloader.
here is a link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2427995
There is also a thread on rooting 4.3 without unlocking bootloader. It was posted by @sijav
But they are all for either unlocked bootloader or by flashing Ftfs and they are quite long procedures.
We want instant solution like vroot or doomlord 's awesome toolkit.
If you understand what I meant.

You see the thing is that Z/ZL people will get it for sure but it is very uncertain for Zr because we dont get everything.
Like Roms and kernels etc.
Thats why we need to raise our voices.

Sorry I didn't mean to be offensive
I'm just freaking out because multi -window tweak for xposed Just came out and I want it.
And also anim mod and auto hide keys are my favourite apps and I can't install them.
I'm very sorry to be rude.
Hope you'll forgive me.
nope. u didn't offend me.
just that u need to understand most devs do what they do as a hobby, and sharing it with the community. demanding that they do things (and using offensive language) is not cool bro...
since 4.3 they've been TRYING to get root to work with the toolkit (and also things like kingo, vroot) but it seems sony's security is just too tough for them to crack right now. u make it sound as if they don't want to do it... lol
read the guide by sijav as posted above. that will help. it's troublesome, yes, but it will do the job.

well guess what? you do raise your voice and dev's can simply stop any development on this device!! then you can develop your phone yourself, ... like changing wallpaper, or installing some cool app :cyclops:
looks like you're paying them to do something and they're not do their job properly!!!
(I'm not telling this you specifically there are lot's of users like you here)
anyways here's the deal:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
you can do root very much easily,
unlock your bootloader, (which will result in void warranty and lost DRMs and side effects which will cause in global warming!!)
flash a custom kernel, (any kernel that works with ZR and has a working recovery)
go to Recovery and then flash superSu Root,
flash back your stock kernel so your poor device can boot!!!
simple isn't it? no need to hack the device!!!!
this rooting method has been officially announced by Sony website!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
it's all about locked bootloader
you need to greatly appreciate Doomlord and those chinese devs that made vroot or kingo so 4.2.2 or 4.1.2 can be root easily, (they do some sort of hack!!)
because of that we can have root with lock bootloader for 4.3!! or else we had no choice but to unlock our bootloaders!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
about update, if there was any, you have been noticed by now as many many and many users are waiting for it!!!

[SOLVED] Installing a custom ROM on Xperia Z1 using XZDualRecovery

Hello guys. I'm new to the community, but I did my homework and I can honestly say I've spent a good +40 hours on this site in the past month, and it paid off since I'm now the proud owner of a rooted Xperia Z1 running 4.4.2 KitKat with XZdualrecovery which is something I tought I would never do out of fear of bricking my device and the lack of information and support for my rather "slightly rare" C6906 model with annoyances like a non-unlockable bootloader , where the C6903 and C6902 models get all the attention. Anyway guys, I rooted my phone, awesome...but for me, the next step is installing a custom rom, because I feel that the stock xperia Z1 firmware is not enough for my customizing needs, plus I also envy the stock like experience it provides, even more than my Z1. I read up on a few guides for installing cyanogenmod on the Z1, but they all seem to be only supported for the C6903 and C6902 models. Plus, it doesn't help to motivate myself knowing that my C6906 model still has a locked bootloader (apparently) and I've read unlocking the bootloader is a requirement for installing custom ROMs. So, my questions are:
Is XZDualRecovery enough to install custom ROMs? Specially the version with the locked bootloader? Could I run into any issues?
If the answer to the previous question is yes, Are there any good guides concerning the C6906 model on how to install custom roms? (Or more importantly, cyanogenmod? [preferably versions that have been tested on the C6906])
You cannot install anything like Cyanogenmod as it needs an unlocked bootloader
You can install any rom from the development section, just follow the locked bootloader instructions
Now that you have recovery, make a backup and follow the instructions in the thread.
Thanks!

Thank you! You saved me a lot of time so I can stop searching for a way to install CM. I will look into the development section them. Any recommendations on what's a good/stable/popular ROM I can install then?

No, and xda mods don't like that question being asked. Best ROM and asking for best ROM threads get closed quickly. Here is why..
If you ask someone which pizza they should buy then people give their own favourites as a recommendation. I like hot, spicy and meaty ones, but if recommend that to you may say "That's disgusting!" you may be one of those people who like anchovies and sweetcorn on their pizza. That may be perfect for you, but I will hate it
In short, you have to try them yourself and see which one suits you best. One bit of advice though, even if someone recommends a ROM to you, its no guarantee you will like it.
Part of the appeal of android is that we can customise so much, so try, test for a week (It takes that long to get an idea of performance and battery) then move on and try another.
Once you have done that, flash your favourite.

Oh ok...sorry, didn't know that...So, should I close this thread then? or is there a way to mark my questions as answered?
