How To Lock Apps - Finger Security - Galaxy Note 4 General

Here you go guys. This in my opinion is the best program to lock apps with the fingerprint. I've been using it for about a week now and it's been solid. The UI is very clean as well as the operations. And it's made for Samsung devices. Works great on the Note 4.

on/off widget does not work on note 4 so far...

I didn't even know this program had a widget lol. Doesn't matter as you don't need to use the widget for anything. This is as simple and convenient as you get.

Can this app hide the icons of the protected apps? I need something to hide the icons all together and only have them appear once I enter my fingerprint.

That would certainly be a neat feature. I think the closest we can get is to remove the icon from the drawer through twiz or nova.

What a great app! Thanks for the suggestion
Verizon N4 : Thank me if I helped ya

I tried that app, then quickly uninstalled after finding out that locked apps will still show a full thumbnail in the recent apps list... that kind of defeats the purpose of privacy.

Other from that, why does this take up like 130mb of ram? lol by far the highest in my running apps list!

Mines showing this. With Google inbox taking up like 150mb. That damn nhl app lol.

And if you greenify the app , it will be crippled.

I am going to give it a go but as this app should hide protected apps from launcher and recent apps too.

Yes. That is for sure a deal breaker. Now we have to disable the switching apps button. Which as far as I know is not doable.

could an app developer help me out?

would it be possible to design an app to take screen shots of the apps your currently running, such as shootme or drocap or w/e?
It's not an app, but USB connect your hero to PC, then go to your android-sdk-windows folder, then to the tools folder, then open DDMS. Feature-packed, including the screenshot option.
I'm confused...
You want to make another app that does the same thing those already do?
Not that that's bad, variety is great but you know you CAN take screen shots of running apps with ShootMe right?
For example, this is THE BEST tower defense game I've found for android yet Screenshot taken with ShootMe

CrystalLight It's fun
id like to design an app to take screen shots of an app as its opened, and when longpressing home, it will show the screen shots instead of the icons. id also like it to double as a task manager, long pressing the screenie would give options such as ending the process or switching to it. very webos-like, but tweaked enough to avoid any legal issues

How's that?
Not sure where to begin on that one. If you could find out what manages the open apps, uh.. app, and had some crazy JsChiSurf-on-redbull skills that would probably be a good starting point

[APP] Toshiba Home Menu [PORTED]

Here is the stock Toshiba Home Menu for the FOLIO 100. This has been ported and tested to be working on VEGAn-TAB BETA 5.1 but should also work on other ROMS including probably STOCK. This will not replace the stock launcher it will install as a separate launcher.
One of the nice features of this Home Launcher is the ability to set different default screens to different SSID's of wifi connections. Then have it auto Switch to that screen when on that specific wifi connection. I haven't had a chance to see if it works yet but it should. Also the Toshiba Specific Wallpapers option is not available but all the other wallpaper options are. It does set the wallpaper somewhat zoomed no way around that though.
Enjoy!
Install this the same way you would sideload other apps.... copy it to an SD CARD or Directly to the Device and use a File Manager to click on it.
RAR'd for upload purposes:

Let me second that thought. This is a different look and I like it.
Awesome launcher! Installed seamlessly. Very good port!
Are there any new widgets with this launcher?
Installed smoothly.
Seems a little slugish compare to adw. Is it just me? Any1 else seeing same speed issue?
Yeah it's definitely not as snappy. Also can't figure out how the apps are organized. Definitely not alphabetical on mine. I'll have to dive deeper into the code on this one in my free time.

You can move them around by long pressing them and moving them to a different position. Only seems to work in the long single row

[APP] Gesture Calc -[R]- 08/Mar/2012 -[U]- 08/Mar/2012 -[V]- 1.0

Name: Gesture Calc
Hi,
Would like to mention a new Windows Phone app, Gesture Calc. It is an app I made for the 30 to launch contest last month, but it is also now in the marketplace.
It's a calculator app similar to the one that comes with your phone but with gestures for operations. My thought was that with the touch screens available on smartphones, the standard calculator is kind of boring. So instead of using the buttons, you can trace things like plus, minus, divide, etc. on the bottom of the screen.
The app is completely free, with no trial limits, and does not have any ads. Just looking for any feedback for stuff I can add to the app.
Thanks!

Hmm... What do you mean by that? Do you know people who entertain themselves by calculators??? I know nobody, even my 2 years old daughter (she's prefer Galaxy Tab with colorful games) Calculators are used for calculations, not for entertainment so they can't be "boring".

By "kind of boring" I mean very similar, and without many differences from the layout of calculators from the 60's. The gesture addition is just an experiment to see if people like a feature like that. I don't mean I intend a calculator to be an entertainment app. However, I could add farm animal noises to all the buttons so it is more entertaining though.
Oh, yeah, the farm animal noises - it's what people usually missed from calculators at all
By the way, do you like a gesture feature? Can you calculate more effective or fast with gestures?
that's a good idea to make a "entertainment" calculator

Yeah I actually like using the gestures. Not sure if it is faster though. Haven't tested the speed of doing a bunch of calculations.

Much needed
The calculator app is the first I searched but no, not yet at least.
It's much needed to expand the usage of the watch.
Got to have the calculator, it helps a lot when shopping.
Questions, does the S pen work on the gear watch for the dialer or going through menus and screens like in the Note 3?

Can install GSam Battery for monitoring
is screen burn with too long use of this app ?
Uninstalled right away. Full of invasive popup ads and doens't even resemble the always on galaxy s7.
I would suggest you guys Glance plus which has a minimum impact on the battery.
I'm currently using always on display since the latest update... seems much better... but it's still battery intensive... but not as bad as it was. Glance definitely is less battery hungry but it's not exactly always on...!! So until the real APK is out I'll keep using always on. I've even payed to get rid of the adds.. definitely worth it.

All these apps are useless to me, I'd rather wait for the app port and source code releases by Samsung, then waste my battery life on these apps. Digitizer will walkways waste battery.

How do you uninstall this app??
Its posted in google play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orthur.always_on_display and here and there with negative review
@senzatiOn-
i installed the latest version of the app on a g925f with custom kernel and rom.
i works with no errors.
only one bug i found untill now and that is when i am on a phone call using bluetooth handset, while i press the power on button to turn off the screen, or when the system tries to turn it off, the screen turns back on after a second.
The battery was drained by 5% within an hour with the brightness set to 25% of the slider.
Overall i am pleased by it. Keep up the good work.
Best app loved it i was fedup by lame display of google always on
How to uninstall this app?
