[REPO] Download not working after updating module - Xposed General

Cheers.
I have recently updated my module http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ceco.sbdp
and users reported new version cannot be downloaded. I am experiencing the same issue.
Already tried to remove the update and re-add it but with no success.
I wonder if it's a general/temporary issue or it has something to do with my APK?

Yes, there are some issues with the download server at the moment. Access to the file system is very, very slow. That seems to be causing issues with synchronizing new files as well. The server admin is already aware of it, but it's night time in the US.
We have set up public status pages so you can see whether it's something on your side or a general issue:
Repository (website and module index)
Download server (APKs)
Still looking for a good place to put these, another sticky thread seems to be too much.

Maybe you could implement to web interface another field for "Alternative download link" in case of server troubles (since there are often ones last time). So developers could add mirror of release.

This has happened 3 times for me in the past 2 weeks... I thought it was just me again.
Glad to see it isn't, not glad to see there isn't a mirror Thankfully I backed up my modules on Titanium Backup. But was looking forward to update, guess I'll wait for 'em.

Ok, it's not just me.
I was trying to update some modules and install 2 new ones. I was thinking my wifi router needed to be reset.

At first I thought the problem was from my phone but after seeing that other person has the same issue, i understoud that its the xposed server.
Thanks for informations and i hope that this problem will be fix in little time..

Still cant access the repo from my phone...just getting a blank page.

He's not responding because you're asking in completely the wrong place. He isn't responsible for every Xposed module and even if he was this thread is in no way related to that.
I suggest you find the correct thread for GravityBox and ask in there, but only after you read the first post of the thread and make sure your device is supported by GravityBox.
Edit - Going by your post history, your device isn't supported by GravityBox, so if you're having issues then you'll either have to live with them or uninstall it as the developer won't make adjustments for your device.

This sometimes happens after installing xposed framework without enabling any module on some "special" devices. So it's maybe the case. But it doesn't change anything on the fact it's still off topic ,though.

Hmm. I don't have any experience with any device from Huawei or other Chinese OEMs so wasn't aware of that. It seems they all like to mess with Android's framework etc for little gain from what I read about them.
I thought it only occurred after activating GravityBox though, as they mentioned "gravity".
Oh well, back on topic.

He probably blocked private messages because of people bombarding him with hundreds of questions. Posting off topic stuff in an unrelated thread isn't the way to go about this.
You're using a device from a Chinese OEM that has modified Android, causing these unexpected results.
Let's get this clear: Is your problem with GravityBox or does it happen with only the Xposed framework and no other modules installed?
If with only Xposed installed, then read the FAQ thread and see if your problem is mentioned in there. If not, you should be OK creating a thread in this section to ask for help.
If your problem is with GravityBox, then either live with it or uninstall it. Those are the only choices.
In either case, we should stop filling this unrelated thread with off topic stuff.

A quick Google search yielded some results saying that device comes with some kind of a theme engine which gets broken after xposed framework installation without any module active. A workaround is to "disable resource hooks" in xposed installer settings but many modules won't work with those hooks disabled. Including GravityBox.

Why from yesterday in xposed download list, there is no update of apps???
But,i can see those uodates/new modules only in repi

Install Issues Xposed installer

Hello,
I am having an issue where when I try to install the Xposed installer I am not able to press the Install button. I am running a GS4 with Task650 Rom from 6/17/14. I am properly rooted and root check says I have root access. Whenever I try to install the app I am not able to press the Install button. I am not running any filters and this is a clean install. I cleared the Devlik and cache but i still have the same issue. I have tried v29, v31 and v32 and all have the same issue. Please help this is really frustrating.
Check again and make sure you're not running any screen filters or anything that draws on top of other screens.
I'm having a nearly identical issue but instead I already have xposed installer installed and I am trying to update it and also install more modules. I get to the install screen and cannot click the install button.

At least read the post above yours, and actually indicate if you've tried what it says.
I'm sorry, i assumed that was implied. I have no screen filters that i am aware of nor do i have anything active that draws on top of other screens. I am having the issue on my Galaxy note 3 running Hyperdrive RLS8 if that helps any. I am experienced but far from an expert in these matters, please tell me what you need in order to help me help myself .
That did it I went through all my apps settings and disabled draw on top for everyone. Its wierd because I have no filters installed maybe FB messanger caused that. Thank you very much for the help

You can try killing all running apps, that'll probably allow you to install the APK. (Again, I'd like to point out that this is not an issue with Xposed. It would also happen with any other APK.)

Thank you for taking the time to address my concerns. The first thing i tried was to clear all apps, and even clear the phones ram in order to make sure no other apps were bothering it. The problem seems to be related to the package installer app. Clearing active apps and ram has not helped my issue.

To disable the draw ontop feature i used the "app opps" menu of my rom, Im using task650's rom, that allows you to disable parts of certain apps. in cm I believe its under the privacy section in settings.

Cannot get snapprefs working

I was hoping that I could get some insight here on the Nexus forum for an issue I'm having w/ xposed. I did post this over there but the thread for snapprefs has been closed. Any insight would be appreciated.
I cannot get snapprefs working in snapchat. I have been trying to get this to work for the last couple of days w/ no luck. I am running about 8 other modules in xposed w/ no issues. The first time I started from scratch yesterday, I removed all modules & only have snapprefs enabled currently. But what I have tried is completely removing xposed/installer (Framework: xposed-v80-sdk23-arm/installer: 3.0 alpha4) & both apps then starting from scratch. Even using past versions of SP & SC made no difference. I am attaching a logcat from xposed. The only other things worth mentioning is that my device is encrypted & I am not running a current version of Pure Nexus(I'm on ver-6.0.1-20160103 w/ stock kernal)but I wouldn't think these would make a difference since my other modules are working. So any help would be appreciated. Let me know if more information is needed.
Thanks!!
The thread was closed because any question you may have has already been answered. Snapprefs works fine on mine. Every rom I have have tried. Mind you I don't have mine encrypted as there really is no point.
Your issue from that log is the wrong version of Snapchat. The last version supported Is 9.21.1. So you will have to use that version and not update.
Also do not post the same thing across different threads.
Had you followed directions you would have been fine.

Thank you, zelendel & sincere apologies man. I can't believe I overlooked that. Such an easy fix. Doh!
I don't use Snapchat but when I set it up for a friend I had an issue. If you have xposed framework installed, Snapchat will not login. You have to flash the xposed uninstaller in recovery. Then reboot and login to Snapchat. Once you successfully login then reboot and reinstall xposed and you will be good to re set up your other modules and snapprefs. Just a heads up and good luck.

Also 86 is now the latest, maybe not for the unofficial forks but we won't even know if you might need one of those until we know what device you have

Hello,
The version of Android is marshmallow, and the terminal is Umi touch.
Thanks for the help
Ok I guess this is going to be me/us pulling every little answer from you, but...
What version of xPosed installer (the APK)?
Is your kernel permissive?
When you say the modules say not active what do you mean, I'm assuming that you've place tick/check marks in each of the modules (xPosed installer modules tab) and rebooted?
Which modules are you running?
Please provide more than one answer per post. Give us more information than we're asking for. Tell us in screenshots if you need to.

It would be better, for you and the OP, for you to start a new thread as a different device at least points to different needs/means/efforts to fix; if not be a completely different issue with a completely different reason
Also read logs, it's likely some of them are incompatible with v86 as it forbids modules that package xPosed classes into their own apk instead of calling them from xPosed

VirtualXposed: Use Xposed without root, unlock the bootloader or modify system image.

As we all know, Xposed needs modify system image because we need to replace the app_process and ART runtime.
In some case, This is a bit troublesome. So i wrote an App named VirtualXposed to use xposed without modify system, you can install it like a normal APP, no need root or system privilege.
VirtualXposed is like a virtual environment, in this virtual world, all app are running with the same UID, so all app running in it are under control. then we can load xposed module for any process within it. The only thing we need to do is to Implement a Java Method hook module to support Xposed runtime.
To be honest, VirtualXposed is forked from VirtualApp, just likes docker on Android platform. And the Java method hook module——epic, is a dynamic java aop method hook framework, just like dexposed.

I'm not entirely sure why no one has replied to this yet. This is pretty huge, ainnit? This would allow Xposed to pass SafetyNet.

I am sure that VirtualXposed is harmless, it is open source, the source code won't deceive you, you can refer the source code at: https://github.com/android-hacker/VirtualXposed (I am sorry that i can not post outside links now, xda's rule says that i must post 10 posts)
I don't know why it was misjudged as a virus, may be it is too powerful ? or it can inject code to other process without root?
Anyway, I am investiging this problem.
i hope it can bypass all those detection by other program like games. let's see what it will it become when it matures. tnx
This is very intriguing. I pinged GermainZ to see what he thinks.

I don't quite understand you're trying to imply. Of course I haven't. I'm sure there are false positive for other applications on xda. That doesn't mean this is one. This an unknown developer (no offense), with sparse any info in the first post, not alot of testimonials Further more this almost seems to good to be true, hence why I'm wary. That said if this works great, that's fantastic and I'm impressed. I'm glad it's open source too. No need to get snarky about it.

Apparently not there was an issue raised on the Github about it (under issues section)
link below
https://github.com/android-hacker/VirtualXposed
( sorry can not post direct links at the moment)
This could be a breakthrough and stumbling onto it today, being able to hide the system modifications for other apps to work such as banking or snapchat.. anyway as far as this hook having a virus such as McAffe , ive read :
"inherit from VirtualApp asLody/VirtualApp string #460, the code has some hardcode string such as "base-1.apk", "base.odex"; i simply use base64 to encode these thrings and it was resolved."
Guys, XPL will not work on VirtualXposed because it stores auf with the settings app which can not be accessed by VX. The only way around this would be a fork of XPL that changes this behavior specifically for VX. But nobody is doing that as of now.
as I see in Github where it is downloaded virtualxpose has little module support

error number 301 in download section: full.xml.gz moved permanently

hello all
I have Lenovo tab s8-50 android KitKat
last night I had to reset factory my tablet
today I installed Xposed installer that I used before
but there is nothing in the download section.
when trying reloading it keeps saying:
downloading http://dl.exposed.info/repo/full.xml.gz failed: 301 (moved permanently)
what is wrong? is it my wrong or by the system?
Hi,
Same problem here.
I have Xperia Z5 on 7.1.1, installed Xposed Framework (Systemless, SDK 25) from Magisk and the modified Xposed Installer from the systemless thread.
I think it's server sided, it should be fixed quickly.
Definitely server-side. The error is a redirect, but it doesn't appear to be doing so correctly. The URL in the redirect doesn't seem to be loading correctly.
The redirect appears to be 0 bytes in size:
09-30 14:51:20.321 I/XposedInstaller( 9119): Downloaded http://dl.xposed.info/repo/partial/15844.xml.gz with status 2 (error: Downloading http://dl.xposed.info/repo/partial/15844.xml.gz failed: 301 (Moved Permanently)), size 0 bytes
For me it's error 302 and moved temporaly
Just have to clear data of Xposed Installer and all become normal.

Try clearing data and cache' for installer app then check modules are turned on then reboot.
rovo89 had enforced an HTTPS redirect on the Repo server, but the HttpURLConnection class used by the Xposed Installer has issues with following redirects from HTTP to HTTPS.
This redirect has been working for some but, not others.
I had created a pull request reflecting the corrections for the XPosed Installer within Github for both Rovo89 and DVDAndroid.
https://github.com/rovo89/XposedInstaller/pull/458
https://github.com/DVDAndroid/XposedInstaller/pull/198
So far DVDAndroid was responsive on his end but, still awaiting Rovo89's response.
This was all done earlier today. Let's give it some time.

I use xposed v2.6.1 (solarwarez) on my old samsung s duos device running cm11, i am continously recieving error 302 for about a month now, since my xposed installer is already a bit "tweaked" to work on samsung device and also its older xposed version 2.6.1
because of cm11, xposed module downloading/updating feature would completely break for me without any fix. There will be millions of devices like mine whose owners wont be having any idea whats going on, so please keep us in mind too while fixing this so that it doesnt turn into something which is broken forever. You can contact me for any help or logs. Thanks.

Where is that XPosed Installer located?
I should be able to update the Repo URL within it.

I wasn't sure which ones so I had fixed them both and they're both located on the following link.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=284177
I kept the signatures and such in tact so any Official updates (if any) will be updated without any issues.
I hope they work out!

It only took a few minutes for the simple fix.
I don't use this specific app myself so let other members (who does use it) know where it's available.
I don't plan to remove/delete them (unless required to somehow ).
For anyone else on this thread, specific to Rovo89's XPosed Installer App (v3.1.5 b43) who may be experiencing those 301/302 errors regarding the XPosed Repo.
The following post has the additional information and to obtain an Unofficial Fixed app.

The following thread is regarding the same with DVDandroid's release as well.
