[Q] No offline mode in Google Play Music - pls help - LG G Watch R

Hi there,
It seems that if you bought an android wear device, you need to upload music through the Google Play Music app. But if you live in an area where the Play store does not supply content, then you have no option to upload even your own songs to the watch.
Is there someway to get my own music on to this watch without using Google Play? It's a bit of a stiff penalty for all those users who don't live in a Google Play supported market, and offline music was part of the reason for me getting this watch.
Thanks for any tips.

What's in this version:
You now have the Installed and All tabs you can swipe between. The former one is what we used to have before - it lists all apps installed on your device. The latter lists all apps you've ever installed in case you want to download them again or travel down the memory lane. This is quite handy, and I've seen this list before in the Play Store on the web, so it's great to get it here in the mobile app.
The All tab contains a handy dropdown with all your accounts (if you added more than one) and lets you switch between them very easily (as opposed to clicking Menu, etc).
A few of the stock apps that apparently never got linked to the Play Store before got identified and picked up this time, and updates to them were waiting for me when I fired the Store up. I've complained about this very bug in my last rant, and it looks like someone listened.

[Q] Non-streaming music app

Google play music has been a letdown being a "locker" and I don't use Spotify or Pandora. SoundCloud is supposed to be a partner but they haven't updated their app yet... I currently use PlayerPro, are there any other music apps compatible that will play music stored on my phone? Ideally supporting POPM and ReplayGain ID3 tags

You can use Google play music to play stuff on your phone.
If the music you want is already uploaded to Google music, just download it to your phone from the google music app and it will play offline

Have been doing this to an extent, but GPM is just not good enough. I already put a lot of time in to my collection and GPM is requiring even more effort. It also likes playing my ringtone/notification oggs. Very annoying.
The whole idea of this thread is to not use GPM.

Good News, Google Play Music.

Good news, Google will do away with play music app and roll it into YouTube music app.
If you go on to YouTube Music you can transfer all the music stored in the cloud from Play Music to YouTube Music and listen to it on your device, where you couldn't get access to it through the play music app because of the account login issues with GMS. Woohoo.
I have a Mate XS and came to this forum looking for a solution - glad I found one!
good news, even though i don't use google play music.

google play music

Hi Guys
I currently have most of my own mp3s uploaded to google play music (not subscribed) which works very well, but obviously when google goes to youtube music i will not be able to play my own music unless i subscribe (to which i currently subscribe to spotify at the moment)
I also have all my music stored on a local media pc to which i have jriver running and i can use the app from my phone to send music to all my google home / minis
Is there a way i can get google to play my music from my local media pc using voice control from the google home as once google music goes i will lose the ability to play from google music as you have to subscribe to youtube music

Change Default Spotify Account on Google Home

While I'm at work or out and about and using Spotify, it's not uncommon for me to get kicked off Spotify because my kids at home ask Google to play music. Our Google speakers default to my personal Spotify account - and since you can only play Spotify on one device at a time, it gives me the boot.
We have Spotify premium, and I have another generic account setup, but I can't seem to figure out how to link the Google devices to that other Spotify device. Anyone know how?
