I miss chromepie every day when I pick up my G3 I get excited because I can use it. It would be perfect for the Nexus 6 because of its size.

Meybe you need to change the code of the app name . And recompile the browser. Meybe it will work.

most likely to work with the stock rom, you would have to make sure all the lib files associated with the aosp browser are all in the right place as well.

I'm running aosp browser with quick controls and bookmark sync on my nexus. Not sure what's the problem?

This works, there's an apk in the thread for bookmarks sync too.

You can emulate nearly everything chromePie does with LMT launcher. I currently have bookmarks, refresh, and a tabs pie created for when I'm in Chrome.

I have been using for on and off for a while now along with PieControls, but I appreciate your help! Maybe one day Xposed will live again but for now those 2 methods are good enough for me.

I really wish the aosp browser had incognito mode.....I like how lite it is and snappy it feels.

where do i get the asop browser .apk file that works with nexus 6 5.01lollipop? thx

You could've at least included a link or QR code...

Just because this launcher is just so simple and clean, it's slowly starting to win me over launcherpro... at least for now. Really nice! Thanks for the link!

Didn't mean to rain on your parade... I guess you just wanted to be the first to post this on XDA or something.
As for easy; It would've been just as easy for you to post a link, screen shots, short review... something???

Hell No... I tried it... that's about it, but it's a lot like the Vanilla launcher; no options/customization.
I thought the stock gingerbread launcher had a 3d app drawer like froyos stock launcher
Is this ONLY available if you're running a Froyo rom? Everything i've read says it's 2.3 launcher for Froyo. Has anyone run this on Eclair, or is it even possible?
I'll stick with LP full version. Nothing beats it...
Ill stick with the stock froyo launcher.

Yes, I uninstalled the others while this one was installing.
It's new and shiny, so better by definition.
Once it can be customized it'll be newer and shinier and even better!

[Question] ICS 4.0 - Calendar.apk

Hi there,
Just wondering, I've been using the GMail.apk from ICS and I love the new feel of it over Honeycomb.
I was curious though if anyone's been able to grab the Calendar from ICS and if so knows where to locate it. I've been browsing the web and search the forums, but alas no success for me. I'm probably doing it wrong.
Thank you!
Here ya go. I have not tried them so I don't know if they work.
Thanks, gave it a shot.
I also pulled the 2 apk's out of the Nexus One ROM that's floating around on their forums.
Just this package cannot be parsed errors after renaming the old ones and pasting these two in there and trying to install. Even did a reboot.
Oh wells
didnt work for me either. i think it must be made for the new ics build which is very different from what we have now. thats why a lot of apps dont work for us.

Try this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1313139. It an ICS theme like Honeybread, but it has the Calender.apk. It seems like it works with the included framework and systemui files. Here's a screenshot.

I had seen that but unfortunately i'm on a 4G Xoom. And it states there it's not currently compatible and looks like people have gotten themselves into endless boot loops after flashing that over a 4G Xoom.

I've been finding a few solid apps that follow the Material Design theme and here are a few that I use

Notepad = Notes by Jacob Ras
SMS = Google Messenger
Unit converter = S Converter
File Manager = Material Manager or Lollipop File Manager
Gallery = QuickPic
su = SuperSu
wallpaper app = Wally
Forum/XDA = Tapatalk

Once/IF we get root i can definitely get things working better. However, in the meantime, when placing widgets you can jut tap them, and move them later.

The new API2 based camera-app is exclusive to new nexus phones. we have to stick with googles old camera based on 'pre lollipop API' or install mediocre camera apps from play store.

Snark aside... have you read about 6.0 at all?
Doze and App Standby both work under the hood. There is a setting in the Battery setting to exempt an app from the optimizations, but other than that, there's no user-facing options for them. Want to know about the two options... read here before you complain.
There are several other areas that have been reworked... The memory windows, app permissions, etc... look through and you'll find plenty of tweaks and improvements.
It isn't like its a surprise. The preview builds have been out for months and there are dozens of articles online about the changes in 6.0. If, after that, you still don't understand the changes... not sure what to say.
ok, to avoid the runaway trainwreck, i am going to close this here... lets all try to better than this, huh XDA?
