This morning i created a group in contacts with specific people i would like to send SMSs to. In other words, i associated few contact names to a category. I am able to go to my contacts and have the specific contacts show up but what i would like to do is send one SMS to that group of people. I was sitting for atleast 25 minutes trying to figure it out and i would appreciate if someone can point me to the right direction. Thanks in advance.
ur one step ahead of me.... i can't even seem to create a group in my contacts... i'm using a tilt with dutty's v3 rom...
and i would love to know how to send sms's to groups as well because i do a ton of txt msging
i use Skb Group SMS...not free though...

You can set different recipients of SMSs but to define a group and use the name of the group to send multiple SMSs as far as I know is not possible

Bad this is standard funktions in my privius nokias..
Need to send sms to same 15 persons several times in the week

you can already send sms to a group of people. just keep adding numbers into the "To:" box.

Application By Which We can send SMS to Group Means more than 1 members by simply pressing two , 3 buttons
Still thinking how a costly phone with a so-called powerful OS (Windows Mobile) dont have this feature....
SMS Groups Messaging
This is built in to the Eris. Slect People, then select the 3rd icon from the left (Group of people), select add group, then select a contact and click group and put them in the group you want. THen when you want to send a group text go back to the group icon, select the group and then group text.

I know you're all Android rock stars. I'm looking for a group messenger with these specific features:
Message disappear after a set period of time for the group chat
Each recipient can see the message before it disappears
Ideally a password lock
The kicker? Can it also be available on iOS? I'm not sure if this is impossible, or maybe every group messenger offers this by default and just doesn't list it?
I hope someone else can shed some light on it. Ya'll have certainly helped me out before.

I've noticed that in a group chat, when I receive messages as part of a group, that anyone who sends something will show up as only messaging me directly. For example, if I am in a group chat, and I ask Bob what he'd like to do, and he replies to the group chat, it will show up on my end as him directly contacting me, and will not show up in that ongoing group chat.
