Horizontal and Verticle Screen Artifacts - LG Optimus L90

My phone just randomly started showing lines and random color blocks even at the LG boot screen.

Same Here
My LG L90 just started showing vertical and horizontal artifacts yesterday, too (11/28/14). Almost looks like a fingerprint in the top middle of the screen. Very disappointed. This is an awesome phone at a great price (other than the messed up screen.) I bought it used and have had it a month. I hope LG / T-Mobile will consider it a defect as opposed to damage and will replace it.

Mine was less than a month old and did vertical lines.T-Mobile handled it as a defect. Returned my phone to stock and took it to the store, they ordered me a new one under warranty, I received my new phone today.

[Q] black screen but working touch?

well like 1 week ago i dropped my samsung galaxy s and my screen cracked up pretty bad, so i went to a phone repair shop yesterday and had my screen replaced
i was using it today and then colours began messing up and i began to see red, blue and green beside every icon or detail on my screen then after about 2 hours the screen wouldnt light up, i can unlock it and use it fine, so the touch works fine but well with a black screen.
so is this a problem with the replacement of the screen or can it be fixed by myself because the repair shop is really far away from my house so i cant go there oftenly.

ASUS didn't fix my Nexus 7.

On 12/28/12 I returned my Nexus 7 including a printout with the following issues printed and included in the package:

Screen shows yellowing/staining on bottom left of screen (portrait orientation) while playing games or viewing video for longer than a half hour.
Device similarly gets very hot.
Screen colors are very dull, when compared to that of a cell phone.
If screen bezel is pressed firmly on the bottom left of screen (portrait orientation) the LCD ripples.
If screen bezel is pressed firmly on the bottom left of screen (portrait orientation) the device makes a "plastic-on-plastic" noise.
NOTES:
Serial Number: CSSN: **************** (can be seen under Settings->About Tablet->Status)
*SSN: C70**********
*Actual physical sticker containing serial number is not affixed to the product on its exterior. (A copy of the warranty card has been provided in the package)
I recieved the package today with a printout from ASUS that included the following information:
Model: AS NEXUS7 1B/T30L/16/1G/V
Serial No: **********
Problem: LCD Color Abnormal Display
New PArt No: 90R-OK0M1L10000U
New Part No Desc: [90R-OK0M1L10000U] ME370T-1B LCD MOD+TOPCASE ASSY
User Problem: cx saying he seeing yellow dots on the left, the screen is really dull.
I powered up the device, the display seems sturdy, however it is still rippling on the bottom left, and the screen is still washed out. I haven't tested for the yellowing of the screen, mostly because I'm in a fit of rage right now.
To top it all off, when I called in, their system was down for maintainence.
I'm not positive, but it sounds to me like they just modified my bezel. I'm not sure, how anyone could have thought this would fix my LCD screen being dull, and yellowing.
I reached out on Twitter with no response yet, I'll call back in a few hours to see about sending it back in to the incompetent technicians...
The washed screen is not a problem. This is the N7 screen, don't compare it to cell phones, they usually have different screens. The N7 is a great device, wait and you'll see.
I've been shocked (read as amazed) with the resolution and sharpness on the N7. Doesn't have the color intensity of AMOLED, but I'll sacrifice that for speed and detail. It's a portable device for consuming information, and for that it works very well. I've got a PS3 for gaming.

I wonder how your story has ended. I had the same situation with my Nexus 7, except my device get bricked. The service claimed that mainboard was replaced and refused to fixed it (even worst, charged for not fixing it). I wonder if it's ASUS fault or somebody really replaced the mainboard on the way, in shop, or in the service. I have no idea, but the board couldn't replace itself.
Press any lcd with some force and it ripples. It's not a cell phone and the glass isn't as durable as many cell phones so it's going to have a little flex.

i keep mine at minimum brightness all the time and never notice washed out colours until i put it right next to my s3, but hey amoled screen it is not, but still damn good quality i think.

problem with replacement LCD+digitizer

Hello,
I know a lot of us are having problems with displays and digitizers and im wondering if anyone else has this problem. Yesterday i replced my screen because it had a dead zone. I booted up the phone and everything worked great until i locked the screen. When i pressed the power button to unlock it there was just a black screen with lots of white lines forming. Without fail the phone will do this. I restart and its fine but when i lock it, it gets screwy. I really need to get this working since i dont even have a backup phone right now. By the way the display is not oem its a knockoff.
Since you change your LCD....it might be a different panel from your original. Check your kernel or flash the kernel again.

Same thing happen to me about a month ago during my G2 screen repair. I bought mine on ebay from a seller that had sold hundreds of them, figured I couldn't go wrong. Unfortunatly I never figuered out why it was failing and just ended up returning it for a refund. The second screen I bought was from etradesupply and it worked perfectly. Hopefully someone has a fix for this weird issue.
I had that exct thing happen to me, well rainbow colored lines. I shattered the screen on a corner drop. I took it to Gopher Mods, they replaced the screen and within a few minutes it happened. They replaced it 2 more times and eventually the last time the screen popped out a little bit since they did not add enough glue/sticky tape inside and the lines dissapeared. They also gave me a full refund, with which I got another G2. So two working phones now lol.
Basically the screen might be pressed in too tightly causing the cable inside to be kinked too much. Its very easy to damage the video cable in this phone mind you.

Try installi mg dorimanx's kernel which detects your panel type of search the thread for a kernel swap flashable. Your new panel may be of a different type causing the white lines.

Screen Issue

So, It's only 3 weeks since I bought this phone, and last weekend i accidentaly drop it (damn..) but at first glance it didn't have any scratchs. But then the next morning when I turned on my phone I notice a red stain on the booting screen, and then I realized that whenever the screen's color is black, the stain is there :S . You can only notice it on a black background, others colors works fine.
So i was wondering if it this could be fixed. I searched on internet if it was a dead/stuck pixel, do you think it could be fixed with one of those fixing apps? (I tried it for around a hour, but so far no good) What options do I have? I talked with Amazon and they said that they will refund/exchange my phone but I would like to avoid sending it back if it can be fixed.
Thanks in advance
send it to the warranty screen isn't broken they will fix it

LG G Flex - Touch Screen partial working.

Hello xda, i just bought this LG G Flex D955 which the touch screen is partial working, the lower touch screen (back/mannage apps , tabs) and a part from the middle of the screen, and has some tiny black spots on the edge of the screen which i had on other phones but touch screen worked perfectly. The glass is not cracked/scratched in any way, it doesn't seem that it was dropped (too bad) cause the edges looks good... the phone looks 9.5/10, the guy that sold it to me told me that the problem came "when he updated the android", maybe it's true, any sollutions? it has android 4.4.2, and i used it for 2 days, works like a charm...tried to bend it, push on the screen and the edges....no help/.
I bought it as broken, really wanna fix it without buying a new display any help? at least a website where i can buy a digitizer+glass without display :?
Same Here, any solution till now? Yesterday V10 bootlooped now back on 4.4.2)
