Yes....a very bad idea

On the M8 the sense camera works on our GPE lollipop roms. Might be worth a try

Only thing I have noticed is the buttons on the bottom don't light up. The home and back. So far its running well

Gw thanks!!!
Anything in particular needed to flash?
Firmware
Recovery etc?
Thanks
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Free mobile app

Flash wen fine. Latest recovery and firmware.

It works for me but it takes like 5 minutes to load up anytime I reboot and if I clear cache in recovery it's no longer bootable. It stopped booting for me for just doing the SuperSU binary update. I have the latest firmware and os flags set to 5.05, not sure why it's acting like that on my end.

Will this Rom work on international gsm model? I have s-off and super cid.. Sorry for noob question. I've never been in the Sprint subforum before..

Well........looks like I'm diving in. ?

Me neither..... Not seeing any of those issues at all. In fact during testing for a ril fix I had to clear data, and or factory data reset several times. Perhaps you are not waiting long enough. Remember the first boot took forever? Anytime you clear caches it has to rebuild them..... So it will again take forever to boot up.

Same thing for me too. Won't boot up after running SuperSU update. Waited over 10 min. I don't think I have ever had to wait longer than that for cache rebuild.

Eager to see of tethering is working. Making the kids lunch then flash time!

Does this work only with cmda frequencies? Does it have GSM support?

This is AOSP built so it also includes the aosp browser as well as the features above. The others are just based off of the factory images I believe.

You need to flash the root zip I provided. TB works if you change the backup directory to the legacy folder.

Just a quick question before I try this rom out: Does titanium backup work properly in terms of un-installing system apps? Or is this an issue with the app itself or the root method?? Currently when I try it says 'failed to locate file'

My big big big FAIL. In Device Patch i left format /system -.- So every time you flash the device flash system contents will be deleted and of course phone won't boot -.-
Uploading a working patch xD
Working patches are up. Same links as before but archive script is different.
Sorry for before
Enjoy!
Thanks for picking this up if you plan on maintaining development I will leave miui with you.

Reinstalled with Superuser SU per Dougfresh's advice. Everything booted well, could not connect to TMobile. Lost IMIE, went stock and back to CM10.1 will try again when I don't need my phone.

Yes, it was just a toggle (however it took quite a bit to figure out that THIS was causing also the "SIM not found" message during the setup wizard; one also cannot toggle off the airplane mode until the wizard is done; maybe it's only my phone )
I have found the culprit causing no in-call sound, if OP allows, I'll add the link to the working patch here (with fixed Su, now the stock Permission works with pop-ups, also GearTools seems ok )
Good job!

It has all the files the original patch had PLUS some audio libraries added from a working Vibrant port AND replaces Su binnary in xbin folder. Hence it fixes no in-call sound issue and root problems with previous patch. Now the stock Permission Manager should be fully working, no more need for SuperSu app.
After a day of use I can say the same as some time ago with early Miui v5 builds: they are less smooth than Miui v4.1, unfortunately. Beautiful, for sure, but it is not enough (for now).
Hoewever I pray the OP to continue his work, I will be testing your builds as they come. Thank you so much!

Unfortunately more i can't do. MIUIv5 have lots of heavy stuff and our phone can't do more. The only solution (not so good) is removing many miui apps but this is useless and you can install a cm based rom if u want something really light without useful apps :/
Maybe when miui will be based on android 4.3 we will gain more performance but for now, its near the limit

So do I need a specific TWRP verison to flash this as well? I've updated to the latest but I'd be willing to go back to flash this bad boy.
I see on the main forum, it says 2.6.3.3 but I'm only seeing 2.6.3.0 available for the m7wls...
http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7wls
EDIT:: I tried flashing with TWRP 2.8.0.1 and no luck, then I tried TWRP 2.6.3.0 and I'm getting boot loops still.

Latest twrp works I'm suspecting something...flash the ROM then flash synapse kernel reset then synapse kernel then reboot. I'm 90% sure it will work

Thanks @Cj719 for starting this great thread. I will follow it !
I need to know, if the bootloop is from kernel of recovery.
You must use latest twrp, because older Recoverys don't support android 4.4.3,..

I tried different recovery and had got same results weird when I was testing only had this problem once and that was early in the testing and resolved. Its definitely related to kernel in the ROM package but not kernel itself. Because even after flashing synapse I can flash kangaroo and it boots. Something isn't writing or flashing kernel bits in the initial install. Whatever synapse reset kernel has is putting that stuff in place @skeleton1911

viper roms are great!
but you cant compare this with viper one.
BC it is to different.
nothing to do with it.
try it if you want:laugh:
I highly encourage all Sprint users to give this ROM a try. When using some International ROM's, I've had to flash Sprint specific kernels afterwards, so nothing to worrisome
thanks again for the support!

Everything is running great. Anyone having a problem getting GPS lock. I even backed up, restored a stock sense ROM,opened maps after good lock, rebooted back into recovery and restored this. Still can't get a lock. ?
Please and thanks beforehand. Thanks Scott, for bringing this back, I've ran your builds since my S4 yrs ago. Nothing even touches what you put together .

Just wanted to chime in to say a huge thank you to @scott.hart.bti and @fizbanrapper for developing and building this ROM (and the Team M8 kernel is amazing). I just installed the ROM, and it's running great so far.
Oh yea.... Nice to see the beanstalk goodness being spread this holiday season...
New build is posted! No boot animation on this one. Probably something I did. I'll try to fix it for the next build. I've also started uploading builds to the official BeanStalk site.

btw the rom is rock stable for me as daily thanks

I'll have to play with it, but at first glance it looks like something was moved in one of the ROM repos and might work perfectly fine after I make another clean build.

hey @andybones, got it all running good. I cant believe they seriously removed the QS feature in system tuner. Can we possible add tiles and rearrange via default.xml, i couldnt make it work on the stock OOB rom, was wondering if it could be edited in prior to flashing?

I know, VZW must have really went out of their way, there are a lot of sku Id checks, wish I was better at smali and could take a hack at it
You can decompile and edit the tiles in system ui.apk, you'll find them in values/strings.xml
Don't think we can add any but can remove, rearrange

Yes, Gravity Box works. I have it running on my stock Verizon unit. Sense is now such a "light" layer that Gravity Box works like it does on AOSP and Sense Toolbox does not (and is not ready for Sense 8 anyway).

Excellent thanks! I used it on stock. But couldn't get rid of nfc with it. So I was curious.
