Op any news about slimLP????

twrp 2.8.3.0 is live. mtp fixed in it. but you can
complied it @#buzz

I couldn't find 2.8.3.0, but with 2.8.2.0 the backup issue with non-matching md5 checksums (seen with 2.7.1.0 and 2.7.2.0) seems to be fixed now. (XT1021, retail 4.4.4). Tested multiple times, with and without compression.
Thanks a lot! (No need for CWM experiments anymore.)
What I'm missing in TWRP: a means to set not only the time zone, but date and time as well - my XT1021 reports a date in the past and an almost random time each time I boot into recovery.

Can you plz say something about slim lp!!!!!!

Actually I am currently not interested in updating this recovery because I am concentrating on making lollipop ROM for our device. I have cherry picked a lot of changes and I am still working on it.

My intentions are to make lollipop boot up. For that very reason, I made this recovery update. I am happy that you like this. I will surely update it to the latest version but I need some time also.

Slim lp ROM is made long ago. But the kernel gives some errors with msm_vidc and init things. Also I am working on the kernel to bring it to the latest caf lollipop flags. Now I can say that, the ROM is made (it installs perfectly) but kernel is what I am stuck with. Anyway, I will try my best.

EDIT: I have still worked on some major things and made one more build.
Package Complete: /home2/ramsudharsan/slimlpcaf/out/target/product/condor/Slim-condor-5.0.2.alpha.0.91-UNOFFICIAL-20150102-1341.zip
Need to recompile once and then I will test it. I have made some changes in the kernel also. I will try.

[Recovery][p6800/p6810/i815] (5Apr2016 TWRP 3.0.2-0) Custom Recoveries

Here is a colloction of all the available custom Recoveries for GalaxyTab 7.7.
Note:CWM has stopped update after 6.0.5.x so it won't be any update.
CM has its own touch recovery now. I might give a shot when it is stable for our device
Release Note:
2016/4/5:
A few bugs are fixed. Please visit the official site for the change log.
2016/2/9:
This build include the latest 3.0.0-0 UI and theme. Translation for Chinese TC and SC are included.
2016/1/15:
This is a bug fix release. ExFat support is fixed. The battery images at power off charging are also fixed.
2016/1/5:
TWRP got a new look. I don't know why it isn't march to a new version. Anyway, I manager to support F2FS in our device now. The next MM build (may be a day or two later) will have F2FS support. This is a big step for us.
/data and /cache partition can have the f2fs now. For the read only /system partition, it is better keeping it as before for compatibility.
Since TWRP can flash image file directly, seems no reason to keep the zip format. From now on, tar and img will be provided. Cheers!

History
2015/8/26:
This is the first build after I reconfigure my system.
2015/3/29:
Finally fix the jumpy effect of new TWRP. Future update is possible now! Cheers!
2015/2/20:
2.8.3.1 fix the jumpy bug in 2.8.3.0. That was the reason can't upgrade to 2.8.4 or above...
2015/2/14:
When I finish the latest 2.8.4.0 for our tab, it behaved jumpy and unstable. Therefore I turn to 2.8.3.0 which has much better MTP support. Hoping it doesn't mean the end of our trip on TWRP.
PS. I have checked. Backup to external_sd is ok (tested for both Fat32 & exFat).
2014/12/20:
twrp 2.8.2.1 has major changes. Instead of puting bandage, I managed to add SELinux support to our TWRP. This is a huge step for future developments. In addition, the charging bug is also fixed. Cheers!
2014/12/7:
twrp 2.8.2.0 has better support for MTP.
2014/9/17:
twrp 2.8.0.0 support MTP now. No more adb commands to transfer files! cheers!
2014/6/8:
twrp 2.7.1.0 released
2014/5/6:
I spent some of the donation to get a i815. Hoping to have better support. I received the i815 today. @Lt.col.johncross, Thanks!
I know why my 2.7.0.0 can't be flashed now. I'm repacking and uploading again.
2014/3/13:
TWRP announced that support for some old devices will be discontinued. Don't know if our 7.7 is affected. Here are the latest 2.7.0.0. Add the zip version which can be flashed in recovery.
2013/12/20:
Some bug fixes in the system core. The charging images are now showing.
Thanks to the local forum's friends. They helped dumping the /dev/block directory of their p6810 so that I can fill the correct names. Backup and Restore for PRELOAD partition is ok now. Cheers!
2013/11/22:
It's been quite a while. The official TWRP 2.6.3.0 links are dead again. It's my turn to fill the gap.
In this build, I add the preload partition in the backup list. As before internal sd mount to /sdcard and external sd mount to /external_sd.
For CWM: Backup is not working in my CWM6.0.4.5 build. Need to make sure everything is in place before release.
Edit: CWM6.0.4.5 is ok now! Cheers!
2013/7/6:
Seems the official TWRP would not support our tab anymore. I really love the way TWRP handle things so I spent some time to build the latest 2.6 for us. The tutorial for TWRP is a bit outdated. The SPn_xxx flag was not working. After studying the source, I found something was missing in the source to support SPn_xxx. With some minor adjustments, the TWRP unofficial support for our tab is now continue! :highfive:

I just do it for fun..
Other than the official TWRP 2.6.0.0 features. I include all my changes in the change log in post #1.
The major change is at the mount point. /sdcard now correctly mount to internal sd, not external as before.
Cheers!

Hi Daniel, I'm testing twrp:
Downloaded from goo,
Flashed with mobile Odin,
Did a system backup,
Flashed a older cm build (just to change the actual, for testing purpose),
Rebooted in twrp,
Restored the system backup
= they show Samsung splash screen but after is just a black screen, the boot animation don't start.
I rebooted in twrp, flashed the ROM again and all is ok.
Want/can send any logs of this unsuccessful restore to you have a look?

No need to send me anything. I do it all the time.
I don't know if the splash is part of the boot animation but the kernel is running for sure.
A system backup means, system+data+boot, right?
See if you miss any of the partitions.
Usually, it is enough.CWM also include the cache. You may need a wipe d-cache if from different android version.
Good luck!

Introduction
MultiROM is one-of-a-kind multi-boot mod for Nexus 7. It can boot any Android ROM as well as other systems like Ubuntu Touch, Plasma Active, Bohdi Linux or WebOS port.Besides booting from device's internal memory, MultiROM can boot from USB drive connected to the device via OTG cable. The main part of MultiROM is a boot manager, which appears every time your device starts and lets you choose ROM to boot. You can see how it looks on the left image below and in gallery. ROMs are installed and managed via modified TWRP recovery. You can use standard ZIP files to install secondary Android ROMs, daily prebuilt image files to install Ubuntu Touch and MultiROM even has its own installer system, which can be used to ship other Linux-based systems.
Features:
* Multiboot any number of Android ROMs
* Restore nandroid backup as secondary ROM
You can also watch a video which shows it in action.

WARNING
It is dangerous. This whole thing is basically one giant hack - none of these systems are made with multibooting in mind. It is no longer messing with data partition or boot sector, but it is possible that something goes wrong and you will have to flash factory images again. Make backups. Always.

Yes, I know this bug. Multirom-TWRP doesn't work in landscape currently. You have to change it to landscape. So, go to Settings -> Screen and set rotation to 90.

Does it split main partition to install 2nd ROM separately? Or where second ROM stores it data?

No. It stores the data in the multirom folder on the internal sd-card. You can read more in the original multirom thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2011403

OP, upload ROM on G Drive as it's faster.
Bugs- Rotation bug present as reported by others.
Didn't experience any force closes as of now. Maybe because I did a clean installation.
Experiencing lags, only sometimes.
Not pre rooted, need to flash super SU.
Rom is very light weight, can be used for daily drivers. Battery performance is adequate as to my usage.

UPDATE 12/3/2017 - New version of TWRP has been released v3.1.0-0. See below:
https://twrp.me/site/update/2017/03/10/twrp-3.1.0-0-released.html
I have updated versions T710/715/T810/T815 with new builds. TWRP is now v3.1.0-1
Features:
System image backup/restore
Factory image flashing.
F2FS support.
Supersu root option removed which would cause a bootloop on 5.1.1 and 6.0 devices.
MTP fix - MTP now finally working in recovery.
SEANDROID warning fix
This version also has system image backup and restore included. It is also possible to flash factory firmware images via the Image install button. (see the TWRP changelog above for more info)
I have modified the twrp source code and extended factory image partition flashing to include all images except SBOOT.bin (still working on how to flash the bootloader via recovery)
This means BOOT, SYSTEM, RECOVERY, CACHE, HIDDEN, MODEM(RADIO) can all be flashed from the factory firmware. No need for ODIN anymore.
(Note: to flash the modem it is necessary to rename MODEM.bin to MODEM.bin.img first)

Note: T717T/P, T817T/P users can flash T*10 or T*15 variant respectively.
NOTE: It is important to boot to recovery after flashing with Odin or twrp may not stick and will be replaced with stock recovery.
When flashing uncheck auto reboot in Odin, immediately after flashing manually reboot and boot into twrp.
Manual reboot is POWER + HOME +VOL DOWN then as soon as the screen goes blank immediately change to VOL UP whilst still holding the other buttons.
NOTE: ON SOME ANDROID 5.1.1 and 6.01 DEVICES IT IS NECESSARY TO GO TO:
Settings -> Developer Options -> OEM unlocking
AND ENABLE OEM UNLOCK FIRST OR YOU MAY ENCOUNTER 'BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK' WHEN FLASHING.
TO ROOT:
Flash SuperSU below with TWRP.

I don't have a fully working device tree yet.
The device tree I initially created to compile twrp always failed to boot even though the compile process always completed successfully.
I finally managed to build a bootable version by porting some of the binaries and libs from another device and using some of the files from the compile.
It seems when compiling from the latest 5.1 omni sources there is an issue, well for me anyway.
I contacted big biff on IRC about this and he seems to think it should compile OK and doesn't know what the issue is.
However I can't even get a bootable version from existing working trees.
I can't be bothered reverting everything to earlier sources so just used some of the working files from the build I compiled from source and the rest ported over.
I still haven't managed to nail the issue.
If you want I can get something up on github and maybe we can work on it to get it booting?
You will have to bear with me though as I deleted a load of stuff as I needed the space, so it may have gone.
What is the issue you are having?

I'm getting the same issue where it won't boot. Sits at the BL with the Recovery is SE Android warning. Can't get past that dagum screen. Here's my current tree: https://github.com/BigBot96/android_device_samsung_gts2wifi
Compiles without errors but no go. The last recovery I ported was for the Verizon Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 LTE and it was very simple to get up and running. Both CWM and TWRP.

Says you have to learn how to touch to use this recovery? Well I flashed and can't figure out how to make it work. I use the same recovery on my 6p and it works great. What is the trick to make 3.0 work on the tab? Really appreciate your work in this tab as I haven't even picked it up in over a year until I saw the good work you've accomplished.

Touch is not working correctly.if u touch wipe the reboot option is pressed and so on. I have mastered where to touch.
But twrp 3.0 is not really important at the moment. I just posted it so that tab 3 217s will have everything updated.now cm13 roms are getting ready to upload.

@Dark Frenzy and lilferraro . Thank you guys for the awesome collection of ROMs, kernels built from source to choose from , and for leaving nothing out. And even going as far as the updated 3.0 twrp recovery with f2fs support. And thanks to you gentlemen I'm no longer on kit kat 4.4.2 and now I'm rockin cm 13 -6.0 marshmallow. Flashed the test kernel zip which by the way is working really well. One thing I did notice was how good the WiFi signal is compared to what it was on 4.4.2 and I'm very happy about that because that was a huge issue that this tab had while on stock firmware. Baseband is not listed in settings . battery drain is not bad (using kernel auditor apk ) although in the thread Performance Control is recommended but I always keep an extra charger with me . This thing is running smooth . just flashed alpha 4.0 xposed framework ver.80 zip. And now running xposed. Just wanted to hit the thank you button a couple of times in the threads and to say thank you for all of this .. You guys make one bad @$$ team.
A request for the SM-T211.....would be beneficial
@DarkFrenzy
Using TWRP 3 with F2FS and any time I try to flash an Aroma-based installer for Open GApps, TWRP totally locks up and I cannot start the install.

Is that only with f2fs twrp? I think that's same with all other twrp for SM-T217S/T.
You need to touch at the corner to press next button and so on, u need to figure out where it touches but that's difficult but I have mastered it lol

Yes, I haven't tried the non-F2FS one, yet.
Is TWRP 3.0 required to flash the MM roms? Or will another one work? I am wondering if the trouble I am having installing ROMs right now may be coming from using the new recovery.

Use Flashify from playstore ..
You can root using KingUser apk .. if not successful use odin to flash TWRP from twrp.me but in tar file .. You can flash custom roms from there ..
