Darknet - Samsung Gear VR

Has anyone else played this game on the gear Vr?
I'm hooked. Lost quite a bit of time this afternoon playing it today. (only stopped when my phone overheated after a few hours of play ... And then just long enough to cool down...)

i LOVE Darknet. my gratitude to the dev that made it. pretty much what i always imagined VR to be like when i was younger. but i have no idea how to play that game, so i just "click" on whatever. worked for me so far...

Games?

So I am looking for the best games out there for the TyTAN II. I like action adventure, RPG's, and puzzle games any recomendations?
For an RPG you cant go wrong with "the Quest" by redshift it is really a great game and addictive as nuts. The only annyoing factor is they seem to have focused more attention to the iphone version and less to fixing some bugs in 1.04.
Also a great game is "broken sword", man this takes a whopping 120mb on your card but its all voice acted and a really puzzler of an adventure game.
Just go to handago, google is your best friend.
there is an everquest for pocketpc
and also a iso hack'n'slash diablo clone
both are ok fun
IM playing Sega, Snes, NES games on the tytn II works great !!
A lot of games available
Guess i should have also mentioned...
FREE if possible... Let me hear what u think.
If Free is what you want then go to this page which has a good selection of nifty puzzle games. I particularly like Rawalls and BoxUpPPC, but the others are good too.
Also I believe Fade and Exit Nights have been released into public domain. I haven't really tried Fade yet, but it's an adventure/rpg type game that looks quite good. Exit Nights is a great game where you build up a deck of cards (Magic the Gathering) to play a board game with them to win money. Once you've worked out the rules it's excellent.
Numpty Physics is the **** with ketchup. I love that game.

n64oid

Has anyone tried the N64oid on the gtablet yet? Any impressions from gtab users? It's in the market now.

I'm gonna buy it today so I can play some Conkers Bad Fur Day. I'll let you know!
I got it, will test it during lunch, I tried running it on my Droid 1, choppy but playable. Lets hope it flys on the Gtab when I get home.
Hey thanks six. I've been following it in the market looks like they fixed a few of the sound problems and other things....I might just jump on it too, this weekend. But ill wait for u haha.
Can you please let me know if it supports any other input methods, like wii mote. I would think it would be a ***** to play with the on screen keyboard.
The program is great!!!
The only issue I have is that the framerate is way to fast (didn't expect that), so the game play (at least for mario 64) is like mario on crack. I hope I can figure out a way to slow the framerate.
It does support the wiimote!

Sorry guys! Yes it's awesome!!! Especially on the G-tab, my 2 yr old and I have been playing Mario 64 and Mario Cart 64 like crazy! Well worth the money! Great in combo with "rom gripper ++"! It does run a bit fast on some games, but I am very pleased with this considering I bought all the *oid emulation apps for me and the kids, well mainly me. The on screen controller took a bit getting used to but wasn't so bad after a while. Yep wii remote will work.
any idea if a xbox wired controller works???

I doubt that would work. But the wiimote works. Too bad two player games can't be played on one screen, at least not that I know of.
I can't find it. . . I search n64oid and it doesn't come up. . .
Super Mario 64 ,Mario mart, and pokemon stadium 2 no issues.
Starfox sound goes away during gameplay but the game plays great besides that.
Pokemon stadium intro plays but that's it. Excite bike 64 is a no go. That's all I tested.
Not bad for an early release.
Hell yes! Was actually trolling online recently for an n64. Mine got stollen my Meth heads a few years back and I miss it and my perfect collection of classics. If I can play Tetrisphere and conkers bad fur day with the wii mote I will be in heaven, and be able to keep a little more cash in my pocket. Those systems can be expensive now. Apparently all the stoners up here in the Northwest have a death grip on their n64s and wont give them up for cheap.

I still have my n64 somewhere in a box. I never did get rid of it and I wouldn't either. Maybe those stoners aren't that stoned after all.
I have been using an N64 emu on PC & laptop for quite a few years now and have at least "a few" roms. Result is I have roms that are verified to work.
Seems not many games work well with this emu yet, but some that do:
Super Mario
Bust a Move 99 / 3DX, 2
Diddy Kong Racing
Mario Kart
That is about it so far that I tested. All others tried either play slower, strobe off and on or backgrounds go black. If you like the games above, the app is good right now.
I have tried several dozen roms so far and the ones above are the best.
BTW, The games play half the speed on Incredible, so even slower.
This seems a beta release and $7 is a bit steep.
Update:
Sadly, the dev is following the same trend as with his PSX emu and each update makes the app WORSE.
Some games that worked do not now and games are a lot slower with the update from today. A lot now crash before even playing. BAD update.
I only wish there was a free version so I could test it out.
Anyone knows if it would run well overclocked at 768 MHz?

Yikes. This is exactly why I'm not so sure about paying $7 on something that might not even run on my Ally. And the 15 minute refund window probably isn't enough time to judge, either.
Works pretty good for me so far, tried Mario 64, Zelda Ocarina, and Goldeneye, all worked at normal speed with good sound. Donkey Kong 64 starts but controls won't work, assuming a bad ROM.
As I type, my Son is playing Mario 64 with the latest update. No issues whats so ever. Thanks for the heads up guys!!!!
THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!! (well this and full version of firefox) It seems to run great on my gtab, super mario 64 is so fast its funny, on the other hand Golden eye 007 runs at just about the right speed.
Just checked the description. G-sensor as analog. I might try this.

Mario 64 runs fine on my gtab but I can't get golden eye to run lol. Wanna trade??? Jk
The newest version of the app is slower, compared to the previous version, so not sure what version you folks are using. Same trend as with his PSX efforts.
Trust me, in the previous versions performed much better. it seems he got rid of the auto frame-skip and the current frames skip method does a bad job.
You really notice it on the Snapdragon (Incredible). Slower version.
Update:
I see what he has done now with the newest update. He has adjusted compatibility to be better for some games, but the net impact is slower performance. Hope he finds a balance

Fightin' Gaemz

Who here plays 'em, and what do you play? I just got a damn nice fightstick (the Soul Calibur V TE that Mad Catz just dropped), and been playing them even more.
On 360, I'm usually playing BlazBlue: CS (haven't gotten Extend yet), SSFIV, a ton of UMVC3 (so bad yet fun), and KOFXIII. Hopefully getting SCV and SFxT soon.
PC, I've been playing Arcana Heart 3 and Melty Blood: Act Cadenza, and via GGPO been playing so, so, so much Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. Nobody plays it, but I love it so much.
So, where's my fightin' friends on XDA?
Whoa! you're alive!

I think I'll look back on today's video games and feel...

very little.
I was making some wallpapers from some pics that caught my eye and a lot of them happened to be from classic video games: Mario, Zelda, etc. I just got to thinking that while a lot of today's games are widely-played, they just don't have that lasting value that the games of the past had, the games that appealed to everyone.
I know there are a few like Little Big Planet and what-not that still do something for everyone, but it's titles like Dead Space and Mass Effect are what move units now. In the "What are you playing thread" Skyrim and BF3 are tops. Halo inspired some cool things like Red vs Blue, but are any of us going to look back a in years to come and really feel like any of today's games are anything more than hours of well-designed time killing? Even one of my favorites in Ninja Gaiden Sigma makes me wonder if I'll see it as great down the road. I don't think Ocarina of Time will ever be a let down, or Mario Kart, or the old Metroid games.
I know this is a little disjointed but I just wanted to get it out. What do you guys think?
I see a field of fps & mmorpg. Not any that draw you into them. None like the classics. You're right.
Casual gamers are into graphics, real gamers play Gran turismo 1 into the night

now day offline game= fast finish
online competitve game= many noob, stat farmer, leaver etc
mmorpg= need $$$$$$ to fun.
There'll never be another Road Rash 2....
Or Harrier Strike, remember that beauty?
Sent From My Fingers To Your Face.....
Manic Miner had me occupied for probably a couple of years.
Ooooh... BoulderDash and Head Over Heels....
Nothing quite like trying to reunite two lovestruck puppies with ridiculously large heads whilst avoiding all manner of fiendish traps...
Sent From My Fingers To Your Face.....
Bugaboo the flea really did it for me too. I lost many nights' sleep over that game.
Also, pretty much anything by Ultimate - Jet Pac, Trans Am, Cookie etc.. They were all classics.
Most games today get played till completed then put back in the box until they're sold a year later. I do revisit portal and the most recent Assassin's Creed that I have at the time. Some modern games still have plenty of staying power, but I don't know if they'll be remembered in 30 years.
Yeah...definitely true OP. It seems as technology gets better, we only get better with eye candy (with some exceptions of course) But now a days kids think a game is good because it looks good.
I mean, i get it. I get caught in the whole graphics as well, but the content needs to be there also.
That or maybe i'm just getting older and thinking back on simpler times just seems like it's more fun.

Precisely, I don't like playing online with a bunch of people, just give me a good game I play at my leisure and have fun.
Excitebike, R.C. Pro Am, Maniac Mansion. So simple yet they felt worth the time.
Contra III, Golden Eye, the good old days.
The best games are always going to be the ones you played when you were around 10.
Twenty years from now there will be a holographic thread about how awesome Cut the Rope was, and BF25 is nothing in comparison.
It's not age, it's content. Maybe the whole thing with the games that feel that way is that they "take you somewhere else." It's fun to play BF3, but when you play Mario 64, or the Final Fantasy series they are their own experiences. Maybe it's just that I feel like I get enough death and mayhem on the news and I feel better when playing games that are just games, nothing too heavy.

Dude, I remember some of the old 007 fps games and they had killing, but they were great because of the stories or multiplayer action, in your home.

I do have to say I think I will always remember the Metal Gear Solid series favorably.
missing the "epicness" in today`s games. baldur´s gate 1 & 2 for example was sooo awesome. with more than 120hrs of epic rpg experience (if u fance the genre of course), proper characters and brilliant dialogue wrapped in beautiful visual art. imho there are but a few games on the market nowadays to rival games from the 90´s, such as bg1&2, where more quality games have been produced.
just my 2 cents

Suggest a linear-ish FPS/3rd-person game with campaign?

So I finished Doom Eternal recently and loved it. I started playing Rage 2 and while the shooting feels great I don't have it in me to play a open-world game, and just feel like a lot of companies are making "open-world" games to artificially pad a game with extra "play time." I am playing Gears 5 currently and feel kind of "meh" about it since it just feels like every other Gears of War game.
Anyway, I wanted to get some suggestions for any fairly-recent (last 8 years or so) FPS games that you particularly liked... maybe even lesser-known games or something.
192.168.10.1
You can try MaxPayne Trilogy while 1st and 2nd versions are way better in terms of story, don't afraid about its age and oldness, it's pretty great to play them... you can also play Hitman 3
Keena and Immortals Fenyx Rising. Not shooter's but they are fantastic 3rd person action.
