Need 64bit Stock Recovery - HTC Desire 510

Hello!
I accidentally flashed the 32bit recovery for my Desire 510... Everything works fine, but i can't enter the recovery menu anymore.
Is there a way to restore the Stock Recovery (64bit) or can anyone upload the .img for fastboot please?
Thanks.

Currently there is no stock recovery for the 64bit uk/australian 64bit version of the 510 as we cannot get root, this partitioning of our device is totally different to the 32bit version and there is no correct kernel source released by htc yet hence we cannot remove any security from it at the moment.... i also own the uk version and i have compiled and tested every kernel source on htc dev and none work.. and at the moment its all way above my development skills so we need to wait for htc to release an OTA/RUU so we can get the stock recovery/kernel from that...
if you do find anything useful that may help me develop a custom recovery/gain root etc then pm me or let me know here..

That's interesting. So despite the fact that the htc dev site has the source code for the region UK and EU they still do not work correctly on your 64-bit device? Wish HTC would stop delaying releasing actual proper source code or updates so we can get this done! Been waiting out for a 64 release for a while

Dual Boot

I was wondering if anyone would be able to code a bootloader like piece of software
in theory if we could make something that can start at the same level as revoery then we could have that select wich rom to start. I think then we could have mutiple roms on one device.
i was thinking it could be very good right now as devs and testers are using GB roms. THey could have a nice stable themed rom and then a dev rom and be able to switch between the to.
Is this possible or a pipedream(and why wont it work)

Bootloaders are closed source, and no one wants to re-write them right now.
Also, Q/A.
actually there was a script to dual boot the nexus S rom on our captivate a while back but it required data as system..

[ROM/RUU] HTC Wildfire Shipped / Stock ROMs Collection [Complete]

HTC Wildfire Shipped ROM's / RUU Collection
This thread is created to serve as a backup for whatever is available on Shipped ROM's, in case the site is offline. Please read the entire notes below.
Alternate Direct Download Links:
http://www.androidfiles.org/ruu/?dir=Buzz
What are these?
- RUU's stand for ROM Update Utility. They contain the ROM contained on a Stock, Out-of-the-box phone, as it was when it was 'shipped'.
Benefits?
- You will NEED to install these if you are claiming warranty on your phone (IF you have rooted / have custom ROMs installed). Besides, these are also helpful when you may potentially mess up some other rooting / flashing process.
Will this unroot my device?
- Yes. RUU's will Unroot your phone. They will remove:
* Clockworkmod Recovery
* Superuser Binary
Remember though, RUU's WILL format your device completely. So make sure you have everything backed up.
However, RUU's will not remove S-OFF if you have used AlphaRev X / Revolutionary. To remove S-OFF, you will need to follow this procedure here
How to install?
- Simple. Connect your Wildfire to your PC, run the EXE File, that's about it.
But I am on Mac/Linux. EXE's don't work on my comp.
- Extract the ROM.zip from the RUU using OpenRUU. Needs Wine
- Rename to PC49IMG.zip
- Place on your SDCard
- Start phone in bootloader mode. (Vol Down + Power simultaneously). Follow On-Screen instructions next.
Error 131 Customer Error?
- Create a Goldcard. If at first you don't succeed, try again. If you still fail, borrow another SDCard from somewhere and try again. Some SDCards are finicky when it comes to creating Goldcards.
Error 140 Bootloader Error?
- Happens when you are trying to install an older version of a stock ROM on top of a newer version. Run Step 1.bat from here and try again. (Step 1 downgrades your MISC partition which will allow flashing an older ROM on top of a new one)
Error 120/170/130/171.....
- They can happen for n reasons, and the best way to go around it to extract the ROM.zip from the RUU and try to install directly on your phone. For Windows, the procedure is outlined here, and for Mac/Linux, use OpenRUU as already stated above.
There are so many links there how do I know which to choose?
- Generally, RUU's are named as such
RUU_Buzz_<HTC/OPERATOR>_<REGION>_<VERSION>_Radio_<RADIO_VERSION>_release_<RELEASE_CODE>.exe
HTC/Operator - This field will tell you whether it is a branded ROM or it is an unbranded (ie HTC ROM). Examples of branded ROMs are Vodafone ROMs, Telstra ROMs, Orange ROMs etc.
Region - Shows the region for where the RUU is developed for. WWE stands for WORLD WIDE ENGLISH, so choose this in case you don't know which RUU you are supposed to use. Other examples are ARA (Arabic), CHT (Chinese), HK (Hong Kong), Asia (Duh!), TW (Taiwan), SPA (Spain), FRA (France) etc,
Version - While not really important, this field tells you if it is an Eclair ROM or Froyo ROM. Eclair RUU's always begin with 1.x (Examples - 1.37.405.1, 1.14.405.2 etc), and Froyo RUU's always begin with 2.x (Examples - 2.22.405.1, 2.25.720.1 etc)
Radio Version - Irrelevant really. Its not like you have choice here.
Release Version - Same as above.

OTA ZIP's
****************
- These are incremental updates, and not complete ROMs in themselves.
- OTA Zips will only work on the base ROM they are designed for, so, are not universal. Check the File Name of the OTA Zip. As an Example - OTA_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.37.405.1-1.25.405.1_R2_release1ey1wsiqy49sdrqx.zip. Here, thos OTA ZIP will install HTC Firmware version 1.37.405.1 (1st Number) on your device, but will only work if you have HTC Firmware version 1.25.405.1 (2nd Number) on your device already.
- To install OTA's, follow the steps given below: (Untested on devices which have Clockworkmod Recovery installed)
- Download the OTA file you need. Rename this file to update.zip
- Place this on your SDCard
- Turn off your phone and turn on in HBOOT mode (Vol Down + Power)
- Select RECOVERY. You should see a Red Triangle with an Exclamation Mark since using an RUU removes Clockworkmod Recovery
- On this screen, Press Vol Up + Power. This should take you to Stock HTC recovery.
- Here, select "Apply SD:Update.zip". Follow On Screen instructions

Nope, it isn't safe flash zip.
It is an official froyo ota update which is to be flashed from stock recovery.
Edit: Incase if ur question is "IS IT SAFE TO FLASH ?".
YES, ofcourse. Stock HTC updates are well protected with their signatures. But it is useful only if u r on android 2.1 and want to upgrade to 2.2

If needed, this is the official (unsafe, will put hboot 1.02.00) Froyo update for italian fastweb Wildfires:

Unsafe ZIP full RUU
Hallo,
I would like to use the latest, full, clear and not safe ZIP to flash my WF. And, it has to work in Germany. The latest Italien one, is it a full Ruu or only an update? It has only 60MB which seems to me a little bit to slow - but maybe I am wrong.
I have a mac and I can't use the exe files.
Thanks!

OTA ZIPs are just updates They are not full RUUs. Use OpenRUU to extract the ROM.zip from EXE files on your Mac.

Then rename the extracted rom.zip to PC49IMG.zip and restart the phone in bootloader (Hboot) mode.
Any way to remove the bootsound?

I am currently visiting Australia. Using a Wildfire with Wildpuzzle 2.2.1 on it.
I know this isn't a telstra phone, but a A3388 (from memory).
Which ROM would be best to install, and if once installed, would I still be able to root the device again, put clock work on it, and install a ROM down the track?
I'm just finding things a bit vague... Like what does WWE mean? and all other acronyms used on the ROM file names?
Thanks very much!

Depends how long your in Australia for. I'd say wildpuzzle should be ok. You could use a safe flash zip. And keep your zip.

And, a really good instructions i could't find how to use the scripts - now where I have Wine on my mac.
Is it possible to some one how know how to and have the possibility to extract the later rom and post it here? I would like to install and fresh and not safe RUU on my Wildfire.
Thanks!

[Q] PROBLEM!

I have a HTC Desire 510, network unlocked and from the uk, therefore it is a 64bit version, I couldn't find a possible way to root my phone until I came across a kernel that was already rooted, after flashing the kernel and gathering root access I decided to flash a custom recovery, phils touch recovery. Soon after rooting and flashing my phone started to develop some problems, my data allowance is getting eaten super fast and I can't resolve this problem, when getting in touch to ask for a stock kernel from HTC they knocked me back.
Does anyone have a stock recovery for the HTC desire 510 64-bit unlocked European ?
Or
Does anyone have a good custom rom that will run on 64-bit European version?
I downloaded the OTA update a whole ago and obviously it wouldn't install because of my custom recovery, I was wondering if someone had an idea if there would be a new kernel in the update I had downloaded? Or if there was a way to install the update through philstouch?
I would much prefer to revert my phone back to stock, stock recovery, stock kernel, stock everything. However a new fresh rom would work better tan I have now. If someone could help me it would be much appreciated?

What kernel did you flash? The only other one I'm aware of right now is the dreamer kernel if you didn't flash that then you can try it..

This is also a main reason we tell everyone to make a complete backup of your current system before ever even flashing anything at all! Take this as a warning folks to simply spend the extra time to make a complete backup of your system!! It will save you in the long run!

5.1.1 to 6.0?

Hello! Well as from the title yes I wanna go from android L to android M. I don't have access to a computer currently. So i cant flash through ADB. :-/I'm currently running on Resurrection Remix on my shamu. I flashed benzo 6.0 a few days ago on MULTIROM just to test and all went well. But I wanted to try another 6.0 ROM and it kept failing to flash. Then I realized I needed to flash 6.0 but no PC. I need to flash the 6.0 bootloader and radios if not mistaken? Anyone here can help me get to 6.0 keeping my TWRP with no PC? Sorry if I sound like a mess don't really know how to put this.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks
It seems to me that if you don't have PC handy, you shouldn't be so risky on your phone. Especially with 6.0, which includes bootloader updates, radios, etc. If you tried this on the device only, it seems like you'd have a chance to brick your device. And then how could you recover without a PC?
Unfortunately, I have never read of anyone updating the bootloader without a PC or the modem for that matter sound very risky to me even if technically possible. I have had samsungs that if someone created a flashable modem file you could update that but never a bootloader......

Bootloader and radios from various releases. These are flashable with custom recovery.
Please read the OP, of the linked threads first.

U Bricked Vivo XL3 - Replacement Stock ROM w/o unlocking bootloader
I've been searching and searching for a way to root my l Vivo XL3Plu and so far have only come up with instructions to install TWRP With qualcom flash software - the instructions replace the recovery.img in the Stock ROM file with the TWRP.img and the flash the phone. We don't have the stock ROM but I think I found a clone that might work (wiko XL plus) I've downloaded all the required files to test this. As I only have one phone to try it on I can't afford to fail. So I'm asking if anyone who has already bricked their phone would want to try this method of restoring functionality back to their phone and have TWRP installed..as wel as maybe be able to install Magisk and root it too. Pease contact me and I will upload and send link to so you can give it a go. (all files, drivers, software, and instructions zipped - 1.99 Gb)

Hi my friend!
I had the device (BLU Vivo XL3 Plus) bricked, since the Stock ROM has not been released yet, I decided to try with Wiko XL pure view ROM.
I was able to unbrick the device, however the camera and other apk (radio, music) do not work, the device restarts every time I take a picture or try to listen to music.
The ROM used was downloaded from here: https://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&c=download&id=109464
Kind regards

How did you flash the rom to the phone? did you use fastboot command (on Linux or windows?) or did you use the qualcom qfil software? I my readings I've noticed that thoe who used fastboot/adb had malfuctions. Have you been able to root the phone after the wiki room install..if so install TWRP and make a full backup. If not try to...untill someone can get this phone rooted none of us have a a good chance of getting/making a fully functional rom. if the link on y post still works there are guides to rooting and installing the rom and TWRP.Also the qfil software and the proper drivers are included ing the zip file and the stock wiki view xl ROM.
make full backup(if you can) and try te Qualcomm way of flashing the rom - it should help w functionality..to date your the only one I've found that has restored functionality to a bricked xl3 plus. PLEASE get back to me with results..if my link is down write me I'll get it back up ASAP.
you can directly message me at [email protected] or here at XDA

I used for install the ROM Wiko View/XL on my BLU Vivo XL3, the software known as QPST (QFIL). I also used the official method for Wiko, through the file ViewXL_V15 and the result is the same...
