Installation Instructions:
1: DO A NANDROID
2. Make sure you are already on NJ5 before flashing. Odin to NJ5 first!!! Here is the link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95857557620392097. Instructions for Odin here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...mware-firmware-kernel-modem-recovery-t2942937.
Then Odin TWRP.
3: Download the ROM and copy it to your external SD card.
4: Do a complete wipe by checking Dalvik Cache, Data, Cache, Internal Storage and System from TWRP. If you are coming from V1.8 just wipe cache, dalvik and system. If you are running Gear VR on stock NJ5 just wipe dalvik, cache and system.
5: Install the ROM via TWRP.
6: Reboot and Enjoy
Please be patient when the phone reboots. It will sit on the boot animation for as long as 5 min

EMSpilot, thank you so much for what you are doing. There aren't many people with dev chops doing what you are doing for this phone. Even though I am using Stock NJ5, I am enjoying a few of your mods and seriously appreciate all the things that you are sharing with us.

Yup, DE only.
So I flashed the NJ5 stock restore tar file then TWRP with Odin, then installed SU through TWRP. After that I flashed the ROM and everything is up and running without any issues or errors. Thank you very much for you work, I truly appreciate it.
Edit: For some reason all of the Knox apps are still present even after a full data wipe prior to installing.
Hmm I can't get this ROM to boot on a clean flash with nothing else. Just hangs at VZW boot animation.

Did you try flashing the NJ5 stock restore tar file first? That did it for me.

I put a Knox removal zip in the instructions. I will permanently remove Knox in next version.

I'd have to make sure I have a backup of my aboot partition before I did this right and then flash it in ODIN after the restore finished?

You really should have it backed up already. The file I linked is for the DE, you shouldn't have any problems.

Using Titanium Backup I've found 6 apps that are linked to Knox but your script only removes 3. Are there only 3 that need to be removed to completely disable it?

Same surprisingly even on Darkman CMH2 stock with CWM recovery… It gives the same error and maybe a CWM error?? Ihave not tried TWRP..

Is possibile to use this Custom Firmware for Screen Mirroring (Allshare Cast) with Samsung-Dongle? The last Roms can not use for this Function. I have no Problems with my old rooted XXBMA7 Version.

well, it should do, its just stock rom with some scripts and added apps but i cannpt test it. oh and new improved version is on the way...

If I can help you in any way, I like doing it. The problem seems to be that the ROM status can not set the status to "official" and flash counter to 0 with the app "Triangle Away." Screen Mirroring (AllShare Cast) works well only when the status of "official" and Flash Counter can be set to 0.
Most custom ROMs (omega / revolution) that works on my I9300.

You can. You just have to take the stuff you want out of the optional aroma install folders and place them in the corresponding /system folders such as /system/app. Then you have to edit the stuff in the meta-inf folder or, easier, replace the meta-inf folder with one from a non-aroma based rom, then just flash as normal."

You might have to Kies back to stock and start over again.

I first downloaded as is, and tried to install using the rom and it did freeze on install. I pulled the battery and then was able to get into safestrap with out a hitch. I tried again by replacing the meta file from another rom on this board and installed this just fine. I had to enter apn info. Also a bit of (IMHO) bloat which I removed with titanium, but that's just me.
First impression is that it is very stable and quick. Thank you!

I have been able to adapt muniz_ri's OD2 zip for the jfltespr to a deodexed and deknoxed ROM zip.
To install the new ROM is use standard ROM zip methods:
1. copy the zip to the extSdCard
2. TWRP recovery
3. Go into recovery mode.
4. Wipe Dalvik, Cache, system, data.
5. Perform factory reset before installing zip
6. Install zip.
7. Reboot.
I made no changes in muniz_ri's ROM except to deodex the system folders in JoelDroid's deodex utility, and run the deknox utility in archikitchen.
This has been tested on SPH-L720 (jfltespr) .
As soon as I have download link I will post it below (see post #6)
Here are screenshots of the apps installed in the debloated ROM as well as some of the SystemUI and framework-res mods in the status bar (these mods are in the separate links, not in the debloated ROM.

I am not sure. I had installed muniz_ri stock rom first before I installed my zip. If you don't get radio or wifi you could odin the modem.tar from his website.

Yep, I did last night to check it out...... works well. I could not get titanium backup to pull the root request pop-up though....... it just stayed on "asking for root" forever....... but I'm not blaming the rom just yet. I wanted to flash it again today and try again.
If anyone else sees this same thing let me know.
EDIT: I googled this issue and came up with a few fixes to try........ it involves uninstalling Titanium and SuperSu, clearing caches and reinstalling both.
So it might just be an isolated incident on my end..... NOT a rom issue. I would be curious though if anyone else sees it happen.

You might need to download and reflash UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip in recovery mode.
I did not remove any of the stock apps. I figured if I leave it all there everyone can debloat as they wish.
I have 720t, flashed this ROM, have no WiFi, won't turn on.

The SPH-L720T is not the same as the SPH-L720. They have different radios to enable the L720T to use the SPARK network. So I am not surprised. I have made no changes in the modem.bin to allow this ROM to work in other S4 variants. That is outside of my expertise.

Benny, and I have had this phone for a couple of months. We have been playing and testing the ZTE waters so to speak. We have now consolidated all of our ideas into one flashable utilizing an Aroma installer.
We highly suggest installing logcat while you are there. There are really only two pertinent items now when reporting issues:
1) Are you using Magisk or SuperSu for root\
2) Options selected that you are having an issue with.

Guide for using SVN
Step 1: Install Tortoise SVN
This is pretty straight-forward, simply download the correct installer for your PC (32 or 64).
Step 2: Create a folder to download the ROM
Create a folder on your Windows PC, call it whatever you want, BadBoyz ROM, ZTE, whatever
Step 3: Add the SVN Checkout Link
Right click on the folder you added in step 2 then choose SVN Checkout
Add the following link to "URL of repository": http://svn.badboyzsvns.com/ZTE_Axon_7/
Step 4: Ready to Download!
Right click on the folder you added in step 2 then choose SVN Update
The ROM structure will download
Step 5: Create the ROM!
Simply double click the "Run_to_build_ROM.bat" to create the ROM
Copy ROM from ROM folder to your phone & flash away!
Here is the latest B19 Bootstack with TWRP included. It is TWRP flashable.
This is for the A2017U version. If you are coming from a different version there is a thread for that.

You must disable stock battery in System Tuner & percent in Dispaly settings
Magisk ROM INFO:
What is this? A pure magisk ROM allows you to maintain an untouched stock system while having all the features of a custom ROM and root. The modifications run as a module, and makes for a much more stable ROM than one that has been run through the kitchen and deodexed.
Also, If you are on this ROM. updates will be much less cumbersome. Once the data image is in place further mods/changes require a very small file to flash. End game- you will be on a custom ROM, rooted, and still be able to take OTA's.
My stategy: I keep the stock recovery on my sd card. After the OTA has dl'd, disable the current ROM module in Magisk manger, boot to twrp, and flash the stock recovery img. Then, in twrp, choose reboot recovery. You should boot into stock recovery, at witch point you can flash the OTA. An updated module will be provided here in due time. I use this device so updates to the module will come quickly.
Instructions:
1) Restore your stock system image backup in TWRP. If you don't have one you can flash the stock img's in post #3. If you are not on N flash the bootstack first then the B15 stock file. Wipe data and reboot.
2) Reboot and breeze through the setup. No wifi, google acct, etc
3) Reboot to TWRP. Don't swipe to allow system modifications. Keep system RO. Swipe to factory reset, then flash the Magisk ROM.
4) Reboot. Setup. You will see the ROM running as a module in Magisk manager.
Notes:
This is based on the regular ROM, and also includes:
-fixed Until next alarm when activating DND w/ an alarm set
-added cast screen tile to QS
-No bluetooth weirdness
-reverted to stock clock
If you don't like the navbar-
Open the ROM zip. Look in /magisk and extract badboyz.zip. Inside the the zip there is a common folder. Open the file "post-fs-data.sh" w/ notepad++ and change "qemu.hw.mainkeys 0" to "qemu.hw.mainkeys 1"

This isn't my first rodeo. I baked the rom. I know what xposed is and what you can do with it. I just prefer to leave app_process alone, and do what I need thru hard code

Yessir. I'll be right on it tomorrow am. Please understand that this ROM is in it's infancy. When N gets released we will have more mods and features. I have developed stuff all the way from honeycomb to nougat. It's just not worth the work right now to edit the code as it WILL change with the upcoming release
