What happens when u try to receive calls? Does the touch stop responding or the screen doesn't light up or. something else?

Try clearing cache of the phone app. Also try using another sim card. The problem may be with your service provider.

Try another sim then. Maybe a friend's. I think that this problem isn't related to the phone but to the service provider since the phone doesn't act weird in any way at the time of call.

[Q] Memory booster pro - sim card problem

Hi
I'm using Memory Booster Pro V4.0 on non-rooted X8 (I don't want root it yet due to warranty).
I found problem with sim card registration. Approximately once a day I got error "sim card registration problem" or something like that. Then I have to enter my PIN again to get it working.
Any idea Lads to get this sorted? Any help appreciated.

is there any fix for wifi in JB roms?

My problem is that I can turn on the wifi but it doesn't find any network.
I had the same problem with icecoldsandwich but it was fixed using wifix manger,I tried wifix manger in JB roms but it is not installing.
By the way I think it is regional issue
Any ideas how to fix it?
There is a setting where the wifi will disconnect on a weak signal. Be sure that is turned off and see if that helps.

I've tried it but didn't work, the phone doesn't find any network and I am sitting next to the router so I don't think it is signal problem
I know this is a silly answer, but have you made sure your back cover is on properly?
Even better, take it off, carefully clean the contacts then put it on making sure it seats properly.

I don't think it's hardware issue, because Wi-Fi is working on other roms.
Another thing when I remove the sim card the Wi-Fi works on the jb Roms.
try to use Phandroid android..wifi works well..

I've tried it and Wi-Fi only works when the sim card is removed.
Doesn't it work in the new JB ROM anyway?
It must be something to do with your sim/provider. I have been using WiFi since I installed this rom and the previous version. No problems at all.

[Q] Data while in call

If someone can clarify this for me, I'll be grateful.
I've noticed that I can't use data (internet) while in call. Is it that Z does not support it or my carrier doesn't allow it? And is it possible to somehow enable this?

I experienced this while using 3G, so I would have to guess it's carrier-side issue. I was planning on switching to another carrier anyway. This made it that much easier.

While on 2G, you can't be in a call and navigate the internet from phone. In 3G it's possible. But if you say you were on 3G...carrier problem.

MMS Issues?

Hi all, just got the M8 and it's a great piece of hardware.
But I seem to be having an issue receiving multimedia messages. I was just wondering if anybody else was having an issue with MMSing.
I'm planning on calling Sprint and seeing what they can do for me tomorrow.

Check your mms settings. Is it set to 5mb size? I couldn't send set to that size either, but setting it to 2mb works.

Sorry, should have specified that I'm on the stock ROM. The max message size is 2mb. At least that's what I'm seeing in the settings.

Bummer, sorry I'm no help then.
I also had that problem. I called sprint. We went thru the usual checks. I ended up getting transfered to 2nd level support. I was getting the error " general failure...........". I ended up resetting the phone to stock(hard reset) to clear the problem. Something in the restore hosed up the phone.

Yes. Everything worked perfectly. I guess the M8 does not like to have messages restored.
I was having problems and the solution I found is
##72786# and then menu then reset. After reboot I ran activation.

[Q] No Service

Hi!
I just got my new G Flex today (I know, a bit late to the party) and I put my SIM in and there is no service constantly. I know the SIM is not the problem because it works in other phones. I have already called my service provider and they say that there really shouldn't be anything stopping it from getting service. Also tried to reset the phone to factory settings with no positive result. Is there anything you guys suggest to do?
Thanks!

Are you rooted?
Sounds silly, but are you sure the card was inserted correctly?

No, I got it from becextech (a website which imports them to NZ (country I live in)).
No I'm not rooted, just got it today would rooting it help?
And Yes it only goes in one way!
I am however performing a software update to see if that changes anything. Will keep you posted with the results!
Thanks!
UPDATE: Upgrade to 4.4.2 did nothing to the service
