Thats right folks you heard it, @rbheromax, @kalisto2002 and I have been working on Cyanogenmod 11 for the sprint and cricket variants. It is a definite Alpha as of right now, I felt that we had enoughw orking to be able to release a version for testing.
Whats working so far:
Cricket:
RIL (data/4G LTE & Voice services)
MMS (texting and Multimedia Work)
Audio (all Audio working)
Sensors ( G Sensor/ Proximity Sensor/ Light Sensor all work)
Display ( Ofc Display works )
Mic ( Voice Recording/In call mic all work)
Wifi ( Yes finally fixed wifi Thank you rbheromax)
Bluetooth ( Bluetooth works and pairs)
Sprint:
Not sure (we need a sprint/VM/Boost activated tester)
Not working:
Cricket/Sprint
Camera (Front and rear cameras not working
So that’s the run down, as you can see we need a tester on a sprint carrier to test the rom and see what works and doesn’t.
PS. rbheromax was gracious enough to port the MSM8974 kernel to our device. CM11 will not use a stock based kernel. This means we will have the most recent updates for our kernel from cyanogenmod themselves! Please be sure to show rbheromax your gratitude!

something cool
Hey everyone. Anyone with a sprint model of this is gonna get a bonus. I've found an audio mod for the HTC one m8 that works for our device on cm11. The mod was originally designed for only the msm 8974 chipset but the kernel source rbheromax used was ported from the HTC one m8 and the 8974 chipset so this amazing mod works with our device its called era v21. I'll be putting up a thread on it for easy access and possible integrating it in my sense ROM.
Peace

Cool stuff so far! Just flashed this on the boost version and it was running pretty good. Though I would like to say everything was working it is really good for being an alpha build. No force closes yet and I'm posting this from it right now through WiFi. Data connection is non existent through LTE or 3g and though it picked up my number in about phone and it shows to have a cellular connection I cannot call out on it. Again I did this on the Sprint boost virgin model. So the cricket users might have better luck. Another quirk I noticed was that it showed Sprint instead of boost as the carrier.

i'll have this fixed soon. its just an apns thing i believe. i like this device so much i'm gonna activate it tomorrow hopefully have data fixed by the new year

For cricket users, since i own a cricket device and created the device tree our device works perfect lol. As rbheromax said the sprint, VM, and Boost versions will be working shortly. It wont take long at all to get you on LTE with voice services. Once we have the deive tree where it needs to be we will submit to Cyanogenmod so they can take over an maintain the project. Then we will jump to CM12.
Also if someone with boost variant can do
adb shell
getprop
find the line named
ro.boot.mid
post the result here, only the virgin mobile variant has been added to the ril

[ro.boot.ddrmid]: [(0x3)]

So I own a Virgin, do I qualify to test the sprint build?

Thank you so much for all the hard work!! I'm on cricket and for an alpha build its run great mostly.
Problems so far :
1. Couple random lock up / random resets. Haven't pin pointed what's causing them but I'm not home with my pc to run tests.
2. WiFi at times drops signal and doesnt reconnect.

Look for modelid and post that then

Installed earlier today. Been running smooth. Messed around with about everything. Even added g apps package. Everything ran good. Only problem I've come across is WiFi timing out and shutting down. And camera also as you already know. Installed different camera apps and they don't recognise camera either.
Thanks for this. Once bugs are fixed, best ROM I've ever tried.
By the way. I have Cricket phone.

Well that explains why ril and data isnt working for you guys, The Sprint, VM, Boost models all share the same model ID. Which i had in the init wrong.... i had 0PCV1000 when it should have been 0PCV10000, so i missed a 0 lol. going to make a new build, basically the ril was falling back to GSM instead of switching to CDMA...

boot.img
is the boot .img a recovrey? an is the virgin mobile varent 64x? and if not then what models are 32 an what are 64x
tried this on my vm desire 510... stuck on htc boot

Its the kernel. Idk why its not included inside the zip. We can flash bootbfrom recovery no problem. But ALL US variants are 32 bit. If you live in america and didn't import your phone, its 32 bit.

So I decided I would start a thread here too help keep members updated on what is going on with the latest information. Jan 6th 2014 firmware will go too labs for testing as well beta testing will occur as well. Once testing is done and get tech approval. HTC will provide changlog and actual date update will be live too Sprint. too my understanding there will be RUU released and OTA zip as well. But the RUU will not be live at first just OTA zip will be live. within a week after update rolls out HTC Support will provide RUU on the support website. Please keep in mind the dates provided are subject too change without notice from HTC.

I don't think so. I think we will see sense 6.0 in summer 2014. far updates go i am sure we see things minor updates too keep htc one up too par. i am sure when CES comes and they show off 2014 HTC One . I am sure we will get a better idea about how much more HTC is working one for devices.
P.S. I am hoping I will be soak tester for the new update.

Really the M8 before the turbo?

My fiances m8 got lollipop before the turbo. The reason I got this phone was this phone was supposed to get lollipop and the battery. I am so disappointed I will never get another Motorola phone.

Depends on what is important to you in a phone. I am always amazed to see people itching for the next update, etc, but honestly, if you always want the latest "greatest" (Personally, I cannot stand all the white in Lollipop), perhaps you will be disappointed in the Turbo. Perhaps once Vzw "approves" (like they have any power in that equation really) the update, it will be flawless, but i wouldnt hold my breath. As far as HTC goes, I can say I have never used an HTC phone with the same signal quality as its Moto counterpart. (Moto knows antennae/signal like no other) Also, If you read up on the Moto Maxx Lollipop update, it isn't too great. @adrenalyne can attest to that. Honestly, the real reason to be upset with a Turbo is the lack of bootloader unlock, as that would motivate Cyanogenmod to create a base that would translate to buttloads of Lollipop roms with the capability to return to stock KK Moto, am option you will not have once it updates as the keys do not allow reverting. Then, you would have the capability to experience it, realize it is not all its cracked up to be yet, and go happily back to where you are now. I know I went back to OSE KK happily from the best motox/droid ultra/maxx lollipop roms. the x8 architechture makes these newer moto phones amazing,(notice how Active Display does not kill your battery) but also has been the reason Lollipop has taken this long for those (msm8960dt) phones. Its hard to be patient, but I assure you, you aren't missing too much. and once you get lollipop, you will be stuck with it, for better or for worse.

You act like this is even 1% motos fault and not Verizon (the biggest sticklers known to man.). If I remember right moto said awhile ago that the update had been delivered to VZW for inspection, but Verizon is so terrified that somebody might (gasp) root their phone that they hang onto it until they are pretty positive that there is no simple root method available

You got all that about me from word eh?
I am impressed!
Verizon is not necessarily to blame. They have approved update for the HTC and Samsung phones. I don't know why we haven't received the update. It seems people that have it aren't all that impressed and some are unhappy. Droid-Life days lollipop is a buggy mess. But I don't think we can blindly blame Verizon since they have approved it for other phones. That said... Don't buy a phone anticipating an update.

The source code for Lollipop has been out over 4 months now. It's absolutely ridiculous that this phone does not have Lollipop yet. It has a near stock android version and a widely used chipset. Samsung, HTC, and LG have ALL updated their skinned versions of android already. I don't care who's fault it is - Verizon or Moto - all that matters is that somebody screwed up with this delay. If we had an unlocked bootloader, we would already have Lollipop thanks to unpaid devs. My old phone and tablet are both running Lollipop thanks to these devs I speak of. This is the last time I buy a phone with a fully locked down bootloader and no hope of root. I just couldn't resist that battery!

The "it's still buggy" argument seems to be the general response when people like me are getting impatient. And while that does hold some truth, I think 5.0.2 has fixed most of the major issues. I'm running CM12 based on 5.0.2 on my Galaxy S4 and my Asus Tablet, and they both are running well now. There were some issues when the nightlies first came out, but 5.0.2 seems to be pretty stable now depending on what hardware you have.

Maybe good news? 5.1 for turbo? Maybe we get when nexus 6 is for sale at vzw?
I realize it could be untrue since it didn't come directly from moto or Verizon but interesting nonetheless.

Or you can believe an advertised feature of the device being "Upgradeable to Lollipop" as listed in the original press release for the Droid Turbo. (link) Moral of the story for me is not to trust OEMs when they make upgrade promises. Sure they didn't give a specific timeframe when they promised Lollipop for the Turbo, but 4+ months after official release of source code is a joke.

[Q] Nexus 6 OTA 6.0 Update

I just received my Nexus 6 in the mail yesterday morning. It was on the very first 5.1 update. Since then I've had 1 major update which was to 5.1.1 and 2 bug fix updates. Nowv im currently on 5.1.1 LVY48H. I've tried checking for system update and it says I'm up to date,no ota 6.0 marshmallow update. I'm using my Nexus on simple mobile if that makes a difference? I have no access to my computer to root, unlock bootloader, custom recovery, and flash a rom. Curious why I havent gotten the 6.0 update.
well, it was just released. and google promises 3 weeks for everyone to get the update. even if you just got the n6, you are still well within the 3 week update period.
Anyone else still waiting on T-Mobile? I am still on LYZ28M
I'm still on LYZ28M on both of my Nexus 6 phones.
You can sideload the update if you don't want to wait. That's what I did
If you sideload, do you:
1. Have to unlock your phone?
2. Will you still have access to Service provider OTA'S?

That might depend on who your carrier is. Some T-Mobile customers have reported that Band 12 works fine with a T-Mobile SIM on Marshmallow, but some others have reported issues, possibly involving Band 12. Several Project Fi users have reported that flashing Marshmallow causes them to lose their Band 12 data service. (They never did have Band 12 voice service under 5.1.1. That would require VoLTE support, which Project Fi lacks.)

Thank you. I just don't understand how what carrier you have could matter about band12 support, since there is only one single version of Marshmallow for the N6, no specific T-Mobile or Project Fi version anymore. The radio included in that single Marshmallow has had the band12 support removed, reportedly at T-Mobile's insistance.
All Nexus6 users wanting continued band12 data support under Marshmallow have had to flash back to the Lollipop radio, right ?

The best black-box evidence, as you mention, does seem to point to the radio module as the place where the 6.0 difference is in Band 12 connectivity. We don't really know whether this was by design or just a bug. Or if/when this might change. Google ain't talking.
As for why Marshmallow behavior under Project Fi can be different from behavior under T-Mobile, I think the the unified build has some functionality for different carriers that is SIM-dependent. That way they no longer have to maintain forked builds for Fi and T-Mobile. And even with the different builds in 5.1.1 -- all of which were officially supported by Project Fi -- Fi users have always had specific functionality built into Google's proprietary Project Fi app. And by design, no build has ever supported T-Mobile's VoLTE.

I might be misunderstanding you, but T-Mobile claims that the Nexus6 supports T-Mobile's VoLTS, here:
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-22754
At least it used to, before the unified Marshmallow build.

As of this moment, TMO is still testing the N6 running 6.0, and has not yet certified it. See this T-Mobile page and click on Nexus 6 for the status. It shows "T-Mobile testing" for me.
These two support documents contradict each other. Mine says the Nexus6 is supported and gives instructions for how to enable it. It does not mention that this is not true if the Nexus6 is running the unified Marshmallow build.
So, they did claim the Nexus6 supports T-Mobile VoLTE, or at least used to, before Marshmallow. Now, maybe not any longer.

And yet, T-Mobile is saying that the Nexus6 does not yet have a "certified" Marshmallow update, its still "in testing" as of today.
See https://support.t-mobile.com/community/phones-tablets-devices/software-updates#tmoSUPDocTitle
It's good to hear that when they finally complete their testing, it will work.

It will work for T-Mobile users, I don't know about Fi. The issue here is that VoLTE should work on b12. It currently does. Carriers certify their hardware, if Google wants to use b12 they need to do that
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
Yes, it sounds like T-Mobile requires the use of their own version of VoLTE in their band12, and Fi uses its own version and has stated publicly it will never support T-Mobile's VoLTE version as well. So, rather than let Fi users use band12 data with Fi VoLTE, T-Mobile might be denying Fi users band12 use at all. Bad news for Fi as a project.

Several questions for the current state of the phone

Hey all,
So I just got the new June 1 update (OPSS28.65-36-11-4).
Been thinking that since the whole thing with newer stuff needing to comply soon on Play Store if memory serves right, it was about time I evaluated if I should be considering updating my phone with one of the other roms. Just been curious given that I believe there is still no official download to force the phone from 32-bit to 64-bit.
So even if it is, I've been lovin the Fingerprint sensor for several things and personally, been liking the whole time/weather widget which I believe is tied to the launcher and I would lose if I changed so I'd guess I'd have to replace that, but at the same time, I just don't feel the need for root so its not something I am worried about having. Last time I did any of the rom patches, it was with the Nexus 7 so not quite sure how much has changed in that regard.
Should I be looking into the 64-bit roms available and if so, what ones would fit based on the no real need for root while still maintaining some of the things I enjoy of the Moto phone (including moto Gestures)?
For the record, I don't do Pie but as far as Oreo custom ROMs go, almost all of them have Moto Gestures/Actions which is quite cool. Compared to stock they offer a lot more gesture choices.
5 gestures with some 14 screen-on fingerprint actions and 8 screen-off. Not bad.

There's no real advantage to 64 bit on this device. I've run both (32 and 64) and decided to stick with 32 bit as everything works, and works well. Couldn't find a 64 bit in which everything actually worked. May just be cuz I have the US version and all the "devs" are not from the US, but there's always something that doesn't work, or doesn't work as well.

The other thing is if the compliance is supposed to be about 64-bit, I may have an issue of an app that I need to not work. But I do have the US version (XT1806). Been on it since last year just as the G6 series was coming out (and my unfortunate disdain for them not giving the Plus models to the state side) so I figure at least, it should last me until a later one comes out that is actually more powerful than what I have. Also, I sometimes like to have some games on the go very quick. Not the Fortnite or PUBG variety, but I figure that if the games have to add compliance as well, I may lose out on some. So I get what you're saying. But I am kinda trying to figure my options too from all perspectives.
But would you mind explaining some examples of things that didn't work? Maybe if its something that wouldn't bother me, I can figure from there.
[Ugh. Sorry for all the typos in my last post.]
If I'm not mistaken, the OEM stock ROMs are 32-bit but the custom ROMs are all 64-bit. So I guess there's not really a choice between architectures.
On the user end of things I haven't experienced anything that runs on one but not the other. I still have the stock Nougat (32-bit) installed along with several Oreo ROMs (64-bit). If anything I may see an issue with an app that runs fine on Nougat but not so well on Oreo but that's rare.

Ya I get it, just one of those precautions. I am still more or less baffled that the OEM is 32-bit even after the story and how almost any other phone, I can find the stock rom so easy to deal with, but this one, I can't even get it unless I look at someone else pulling their own.

ZTE Axon 10 Pro US bootloader unlock request

It looks like ZTE is back again with another flagship killer with an unbelievable price! With 8+256 for $549 and 12+256 for $599 this will be the device to beat the rest of 2019 and well into 2020. However, one thing will separate the Axon 10 Pro from the OnePlus 7/7T going forward and that is an official bootloader unlock from ZTE. The inclusion of microSD support has me wanting this phone more than any out currently. Hopefully the bootloader is unlockable out of box, but if not, please, ZTE, if you happen to read this, PLEASE include an official bootloader unlock, preferably one that doesn't affect widevine L1 so we can enjoy a flourishing development community as well as high quality video on this display.
XDA, let's show ZTE how great this device can be with your support in backing an official bootloader unlock for the Axon 10 Pro!
Join the discussion on Z-community and make your voices heard:
https://community.zteusa.com/discussion/54800/axon-10-pro-bootloader-unlock-request
Unlock Bootloader will be awesome, and having You as well as @Unjustified Dev as developers will rock this device even more like Axon 7 did.
If ZTE is watching, I just want to say thanks.
I remember receiving a PM from @DrakenFX 3 years ago about this new phone THE ZTE AXON 7! Doesn't that sound cool? It wasn't the first time we crossed paths or second here on XDA.
At the time, ZTE was known for stripping devices of fastboot mode. Regardless of my novice skills, I still took on the challenge.
Shortly after coming into the community and learning about this device and meeting some great people, I received another PM! A guy asked for my address to send me a device! Yes, that's correct, my first device was actually bought by one member of XDA.
The joy of that day can never be explained or replicated again. I received my device a bit later which was good because ZTE had just released the OTA file that allowed B20 to be unlocked and brought back fastboot which is stripped on all of their devices that I've ever worked with.
In less than a week we had CM-13.0 running, but there were so many things we couldn't figure out.
Before I knew it, ZTE reached out to me and a few other CyanogenInc developers. They helped us fix Audio, fingerprint, sensors, VR, Camera, and I'm betting even more. I am considering getting the Axon 10 Pro myself if I don't receive one from ZTE or anyone else
I think we're all asking for you to be the same ZTE that left us with the Axon 7 one of the most influential devices in your history.
Already prepared for this amazing device http://files.nwwn.com/~unjust/Axon 10 Pro/LineageOS/
I went from my axon 7 to onplus my daughter now has my axon 7 and she loves it
If bootloader unlock is there I am definitely jumping back to ZTE from OnePlus
Lineage 16.0
@Unjustified Dev What base firmware did you use to build Lineage 16.0?
Thanks
Bill

TWRP isn't ready due to decryption with a pin set. And lineage isn't ready either but you can install GSI. Only difference is GSI don't take full advantage of the Qualcomm enhancements like gps and ims but everything else *should* work

If I'm going to run this phone, I would love LineageOS as that's what I am on currently. Why Android has to be a pain to get everything migrated from an old phone to a new phone and hasn't been fixed is beyond frustrating too. I don't upgrade often due to the fact that phone hardware sucks or the boot-loader is encrypted. If that wasn't an issue that would be one less hassle but the fact that it's so much trouble to change from an old device to a new device while taking all your stuff with you and not losing or having stuff get missed in the transfer that's the biggest reason I keep my phones so long.
I'll need all the regular features like GPS so I can't really do without full support and I wouldn't want to run anything but LineageOS anyway because when LineageOS is ready I want to just get my stuff to it and not have to do the move of my data multiple times.
Thanks

The phone hasn't been out very long. It took a whole team to get most of the issues worked out the Axon 7. There's no way we could just get it working that fast. Keep in mind I don't own the device either. It's going to take time regardless due to so much changing with Android I'm behind on all the new stuff like encryption.

For starters, @Unjustified Dev DOES NOT have this Device, he is doing every blind and if you want to get any custom software together, jump in and help him get the Axon 10 Pro, so he can debug and get faster fixes for this device.

Hello,
Thanks for taking time to respond to my message. I understand what you mean about the encryption. Can I justify buying the phone at the double cost from what the Axon 7 cost? Not sure however I am highly interested in this.
