MY SD Card Isn't Working
- Format the SD Card in recovery to Ext4 (from FAT) and it should be good to go. Besides, who likes the 3.9GB file limit of FAT anyways
- NTFS formatting also works, but SD card is no longer detectable in recovery.
Help! Miscellaneous is draining my battery!
Miscellaneous itself is not some mystical process that drains battery. It's showing the difference between estimated battery drain and actual battery drain (so more like a summation of all of the miscellaneous processes that drained the battery unexpectedly).
Work In Progress. Will be updated as comments are added.
If you are experiencing any issues and have performed a dirty flash, please try a clean flash prior to posting your question. Thank you!
If you have an issue and want require help, please submit a kmsg log with the following information:
Note: Do not pull out battery or else no log; this log can be located at: /proc/last_kmsg

/* Native Xposed support */
Current Xposed for Android 5.0 Lollipop replaces ART native libraries/binaries upon installation which may cause compatibility and performance decrease.
Now I'm glad to bring you native Xposed support for Temasek ROM.
For installation, please check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 before continuing.
Follow the installation instructions from the upper link, but instead of using the recovery flash zip file provided by rovo89,
please install the following zip instead - http://arter97.iptime.org:8080/browse/Xposed/
This zip is built from source with both Temasek's modification and Xposed support in mind, thus giving better compatibility and (maybe) better performance.
This is also patched to install an additional addon.d script to make Xposed files are kept during nightly upgrades.

Yes. Same.

@arter97 - Good work!! More lolli's for the i9300; nom nom. Little suggestion... The uploaded file name ought to include build number/version, or alternatively another way of judging whether the build date matches current version/build number adjacent to that on this thread. Since atm the thread indicates the latest by build version i.e. "Build Version: V3.5.1", and not by date.
Example: cm-12-V3.5.1-YYYYMMDD-UNOFFICIAL-i9300.zip

Thank you developers. downloading it ..

This is v3.4.1 or 3.5.1? Because the the twitter version was 3.4.1....

Nice. Tema's rom was awesome on cm10 and 11.
Just a few things:
- It might be convinient to see what the differences are compared to normal cm12 (which will be very minor at this point). I know that temasek used to cherrypick from different roms as well.
-What are you planning for kernel? Are you using stock cm kernel, or are you planning to bundle it with your own kernel? Temasek had a seperate kernel when he had his s3. Just wondering what you are planning.
It will be great to see this Rom and Archidroid based on cm12 go head to head. Thanks for keeping the s3 alive.
I am flashing right now. BTW flashing took a really long time with TWRP 2.8.3.0 (Not the booting part, i know that takes time, but the actual flashing took several minutes).
Edit:
And it still has DSP manager !!!!! So much nicer than AudioFX

Personally I don't see custom ROMs as competitors and we shouldn't actually.
Like it, use it. Don't like, move on. It's freedom of choice. I'm in pretty good relations with @arter97 and I am sure we can both work hand in hand to make users enjoy yet again on your I9300.
Remember @arter97 is the one who brings u the finished product to enjoy. I'm merely working in the background. So let's give @arter97 the support which many have given me.
Regards
Temasek

I try this rom yesterday. When you @arter97 post the download link (mega) on twitter. After 1 day using this rom i experience some bug :
- music player goes fc after playing some music/song
-experience some graphical glitches when playing video/game
Another that working fine for me. (At least until now)
I can said this is the best lollipop ROM i ever tried. It's running verry smooth no lag and freeze/random reboot. Thanks.

I encounter a smoothness-issue with one specific animation. If you enter Settings and e.g. WLAN - and THEN press the back-button - that animation is not smooth somehow. Can you check that? Everything else is very smooth with V. 9.7 and Kernel 5.2. Thanks for this!
Tried dirty flash over Temasek 9.6 and kernel 5.2, got system UI FC over and over again, not allowing boot to proceed.
Next I wiped device, installed rom, kernel and supersu. Booted device, after successful boot I flashed PA GAPPS, now there is no problem. Great work as always Arter.
Flashing 5.3 kernel now, will observe smart watch performance.
Also I'm on Philz recovery.

I got the same.
If I got to settings and press back, then animation is smooth.
But if I got to settings and one level deeper (any level or sub menu), and press back then first animation is not smooth, but second is smooth as before.
Everything works for me except video recording and playback.
Playback is particularly annoying. I have had this problem with 5.0.1 as well.
Please help!

Sorry if made this unclear and misleading. By default, I meant, without having to flash custom Kernels or anything to enable it. Because I've heard on some CM12.1 thread which is the 5.1 Weekly 2, the only way you can enable it on the settings menu is by flashing a custom Kernel. I just got so used to it. I'm just clarifying things. Thank you so much for you quick response!

No, you don't have to flash any custom kernel to get on-screen navigation bar. This rom has the feature embedded within it.

Today I created this topic for the development of a custom ROM based on CM12 for our dear A5 devices (all variants), but I need help to create the ROM, so if anyone is interested in this ROM and that he can help me create it, it would be used for the entire user community of A5
For the moment, good news, we have only a TWRP build for A500F and A500FU (probably other variants) working with Lollipop and KitKat. You can flash directly the .img using Flashify.
-Thanks to @faust93 for the TWRP build .

I'm here for it! And surely willing to help!
I was just about to write a 10 page long message about how it wasn't me but @faust93 who did the twrp but then my battery died XD. Anyways you corrected it, all I did was write some instructions all credit goes to @faust93 for the build. If I only owned this device there would probably be a build by me

Hey @CTXz , considering the fact that we own the phone, what if you could help us on the whole process of building it OR you build it yourself and share us the files so we can try them and return to you what happened?

OK, so right now I am still in the learning curve of developing on ROMs. Infact i began not too long ago. However I might give it a try once i feel like i am ready. I am currently at poring CM12.1 on my MK802IV android tv stick, witch is completely out of dev resources making it extra hard. However samsung devices are allot easier because they actually share the LATEST kernels etc.

@CTXz I start from my side, you can start from your side?, then we'll see which build works best and then I will adapt to variants. Which model of A5 did you have? (Mine is A500FU).
I will follow this steps on this useful link: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_porting_intro

I sadly don't own a A5 as i said before so it will be hard also I still need to finish my own project.
Hi all,
I'm trying to build CM12.1 for A5F and have it almost working except RIL. Incoming/Outgoing calls are working (with custom RILJ) but no incall sound at all.. totally muted.
So it would be cool to get some ideas/advices from experienced ppl regarding this issue.

Not sure about A500FU. It seems that A5F/A5FU is somewhat different devices. I've tried LL kernel sources from A5FU but resulting kernel does not work on A5F.
So I think this ROM neeeds to be modified a little to work with A5FU. Stock kernel/initrd and sec-ril blobs at least..

Can you make that?
@faust93 I think I found the solution to sound problem, have you verified your build.prop? change these lines on your build.prop
1. Persist.audio.handset.mic.type=digital replace digital with analog
2. Persist.audio.dualmic.config=endfire -- replace endfire with false
With this I think your CM12 problem can be fixed. Try and tell me if it's work
hello guys!! very very happy to see development of cm rom for our device! im so excited, i cant belive!

INSTRUCTIONS
First time installing CyanogenMod 12.1 to your Redmi Note 2 or coming from another ROM:
Flash a custom recovery via Fastboot (any other installing methods will do, just make sure you have TWRP recovery installed) From now on Cyanogen Recovery is the recommended recovery image for Redmi Note 2's CM12.1. From my tests, only valid signed zips can be succesfully installed, so please do not try to modify the zip yourself.
Push GApps (arm64) and the CM 12.1 zip to your device
Boot into Recovery
Perform factory reset
Flash the CM 12.1 zip from SD card
Flash GApps for Lollipop from SD card
Reboot (be patient, "optimizing apps" takes a while)
Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!
Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 12.1 (1st Method):
Push the new CM 12.1 zip to your SD card
Boot into Recovery
From now on Cyanogen Recovery is the recommended recovery image for Redmi Note 2's CM12.1, which can be downloaded below.. From my tests, only valid signed zips can be succesfully installed, so please do not try to modify the zip yourself.
Flash the CM 12.1 zip from SD card
Optionally flash the most recent GApps for Lollipop if you encounter problems
Reboot (be patient, "optimizing apps" takes a while)
Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 12.1 (2nd Method):
Create a folder named cmupdater in your Internal Storage
Go to Settings - About phone - Cyanogenmod Updates
Tap on the zip you just copied to your Internal Storage and click update.
The phone will reboot into recovery and install the update automatically. Then it will reboot again automatically. (be patient, "optimizing apps" takes a while)
From now on Cyanogen Recovery is the recommended recovery image for Redmi Note 2's CM12.1, as it has faster update speeds, which can be downloaded below. From my tests, only valid signed zips can be succesfully installed, so please do not try to modify the zip yourself.

FAQ
ROOT! ROOT! Give me root or i'll die!!! Where root is???
First of all do not flash any supersu/superuser/superman zip package to get root. Go to Settings>Developement Settings>Root acces > Apps Only
Are these gapps <insert random gapps package here> working with cm12.1?
Use the suggested package
When do I have to wipe data?
You must wipe data only when you're switching from another rom or migrating to Snapshot branch from Nightly and vice versa. You don't need to wipe data when you update in the same release channel.
Why no <insert miui feature here>?
Because this is CyanogenMod

Bule's build has IR blaster working. If you look in the other CM12 thread, there is a sensor patch that contains some libs that fixed it.
WOW! Seriously, I'm super excited for this. I've been having some issues with clean AOSP for a while so this is some awesome timing

In the last few pages there is a build from 12.12 (which is think is rather confusingly named 12.11) on Baidu and Mega:

There was also a sensor patch here:

but I think it's been integrated into Bule's build.
Thanks to @lokjianming for such a comprehensive OP, looking forward to the build.
BTW: Is LTE working on SIM 2? I don't necessarily need it, just wondered?

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
With the rebrand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now actually LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or LAOS team, if it concerns their code base. This rom isn't LAOS supported, so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Marshmallow. You don't need to install any Add-Ons, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it, and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!
Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device
Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended)
Wipe system, Cache, data and ART/Dalvik cache
Flash ROM Zipfile
Flash/Install GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work)
Flash/Install the root solution of choice (optional)
Reboot to system
The ROM has GApps persistance in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)!
KERNEL:
Kernel in this ROM follows LAOS source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash using the buildin OTA app that needs TWRP recovery installed to work.
You can still use CWM/LAOS recovery and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. Zip gets saved in the "AICP_ota" folder on your internal storage.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery.

If you have any questions about kennel stuff, feel free to shoot me a pm. I don't do much development anymore but I used to do a lot for this tab, glad to see it's still alive...maybe time to blow the dust off it

Just use open gapps 6.0 nano arm, you can add more from play store later. But this is p3110 based so make a backup & store on sdcard, bcuz not sure if it will work for p3100. Ril telephony stuff is included but tested. Let me know & I will run a 3g build tonight or tomorrow morning.
