Tempered Glass - Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo Accessories

I am looking for a screen protector for my BN Turbo. I would prefer a tempered glass solution but am willing to explore other options. Does anyone have one or can offer suggestions for one? Thanks

When I bought my turbo in October or November, I also bought the "flexible glass screen protector for droid turbo" at the Verizon store. It is a little pricey at about $25, but I really like it. They had to order it for me and it was delivered straight to me.
For what it cost, I took it to them and had one of their employees put the screen on for me. I think he did a pretty nice job of it. I have no complaints, other than the high price. ?
As far as I can tell, it has no scratches on it, but, I try not to treat it rough. Also, it is very hard to see any smudges, etc that I get on it.
It did take me a little while to get used to its edges. If you swipe from the very edge of the phone, you can feel the edge. It kind of catches your finger. I have had no problems using it. At the same time I also bought the "Speck" case from them. I like it as well, but, it is also pricey.
Before this, I always used their belt clip. I do miss that, and, "may" one of these days replace the Speck with it. But, I think the glass screen is so much better than the plastic ones.
I would buy the glass screen again. (my opinion only)

I just received this one today.
Its not bad for the price.

I was just going to start a thread with the glass screen protectors that I've tried and whether it works or not. but just an fyi, I've used the ez guardz, they admitted to their current model having a design flaw; the edges of the screen protector doesn't adhere. Also the Ghostek I just received today has the same issue. There's one more I'm looking at on eBay and I'm going to stay away from the "flexible screen protectors" as those are the ones made by tech21 and I don't like the feel of them.

Sorry. Wrong thread.

Thanks for the info. I have read the same thing on most of the screen protector Amazon reviews. Everything from improper fit, to breakage, yellowing, dimples & valleys......
I have considered this non-tempered protector: http://www.amazon.com/Skinomi®-Tech...421509415&sr=8-1&keywords=skinomi+droid+turbo Does anyone have any experience with these?
I also sent an email to MIMEUSA because they show link for Turbo products on their site but when clicking on it nothing happens. I will post updates as soon as I hear anything from them

Looks like film, I have their screen protector for my moto 360, first batch was over sized, they then sent me the replacements which were a lot better. I may end up going with tempered glass as well for to 360 but at the time none were available but the film ones, except the Spigen which chipped. I'm not too confident with the ones that are available now.

I know that it's a film protector & not tempered glass. I was wondering if anyone had any luck with it. I was also looking at the iVoler tempered glass sold on Amazon

The iVoler is great, with a few minor caveats:
• Follow instructions to the letter, making sure the screen is immaculately clean. Also, wear rubber gloves if possible. Even a minor trace of skin oils will result in spots that refuse to adhere, so be super careful.
• This particular item ships from Shengzhen, China, and takes about three weeks. Order a spare while you're ordering and waiting so ridiculously long for the item to arrive.
Aside from that, it seems to be just the ticket... It's coated, so it feels slick, stays clean and doesn't show fingerprints.

This company finally has one out, I have it on order today.

reporting back from my last purchase.
Tried this TEMPERED GLASS Screen Protector - Slim 0.33mm Super Hardness - Crystal Clear by COVRWARE - picked it up from amazon for $9.97
The glass itself is nice. It feels like the naked screen. It's a 9H and oleophobic. Unforunately the edge adhesive halos. It's cut slightly short of the edges to in an attempt to deal with the 2.5D screen edges.
you don't notice when the screen is on, but yeah it's not a edge to edge performing adhesive. so i've left it on, as i look for a better screen protector.
i'd love to see how that mime screen protector does.

Let me know if the edges stick that's really the only issue with most of them on the market right now. I don't even want to show my phone to others because of the parts of the screen protector that doesn't adhere. Waiting on a replacement for my ghostek, if that's the same then I'm off to trying a different one.

The edges on mine are all good, with the exception of two spots where my fingers made contact with the adhesive. My hands were clean and dry, but it apparently doesn't take much to impact the performance of the adhesive. I'd recommend wearing rubber gloves during application... Other than that, it's a great fit, and covers only the flat (non-rounded) surface of the screen.

Ok got the MIME today, typical package and install. Goes on good does not go the the edge but about like the xtreme one I had installed. This one sticks so far and feels way better slickness wise than the xtreme.

Interesting there's no cut out for the proximity sensor. Have you had any issues during phone calls? Make a phone call, and hold the phone away from your face. Does the screen still go on?

[Review] Zerolemon Ultra Glass Armor 9H | Post All Reviews Here!!!

I have been asked by @ZEROLEMON_OFFICIAL to start a thread for the purpose of posting reviews of their Ultra Glass Armor 9H tempered glass screen protectors for the HTC M8.
***DO NOT START A SEPARATE THREAD FOR THE PURPOSE OF WRITING YOUR OWN REVIEW. ALL REVIEWS OF THIS PRODUCT SHOULD GO IN THIS THREAD ONLY. ALL OTHERS WILL BE REMOVED BY THE MODERATION TEAM***
My review is as follows:
I received my tempered glass screen protector in the mail the other day. Everything was neatly packaged and included everything to install the screen protector. The wording of the instructions on how to install the screen protector was a bit confusing, but I've used a screen protector before so I knew how to install one. The only real issue I had was getting the protective film off the sticky side of the screen protector itself. The pull tab-style sticker came right off but the film itself remained, so I had to use a fingernail to pick at the edge of the film and then finally remove it. The screen protector went right on and looks great. I've only noticed a couple of issues, those being the screen protector seems to have a bit more glare than the actual screen of the phone, but I didn't find this to be an issue when viewing the phone in various lighting conditions. Also, it does seem to pick up dust fairly quickly. Overall, for the price you'd pay at an online store like Amazon, I don't think you'll find a better value tempered glass screen protector. Pick one up for yourself and see:good:
Amazon currently has them for $8.99.

Thanks for your feedback. The pull tab-style sticker should be able to stick on the film so the film will be easy to peel off. Maybe you are just unlucky, sorry. Below is the revised version of instruction which will be applied to the new batch.
1.Please wipe off all fingerprints and oil stains from the screen with the included alcohol swab. Wipe the screen with the included microfiber cloth for drying.
2.Place phone on flat surface with screen facing up. Peel the first plastic adhesive off and align the screen protector edge with the phone's edge.
3.Gently place the screen protector on the screen. The screen protector will automatically adhere to the surface of the screen.
4. If there are bubbles between the screen protector and the phone, please use a flat card to gently push out the bubbles to the edge of the phone.
5. Installation complete.
Those instructions are much better:good:
OMG INCREDIBLE!! Of all the shields I have had, this is surely my last from anyone. I am sticking to Zerolemon from now on. My other shields was fingerprint magnets, not this one. Easy to put on, and thinner than any other shield. Here is my 5 Star review from Amazon:
""I got the shield today, it was a snap to install. Thinner than my Chinese shield, and surprisingly almost fingerprint proof. The one thing I hated about my last shield was it attracted all my fingerprints. I always was cleaning it. But this one doesn't seem to even know my fingers even touched it. I can see the prints after heavy use, but so easy to clean, and barely visible, it is remarkable. This has got to be the best shield out there. And I have had one on all my phones. But now, this is probably going to be the only one I will have in the future. It's like touching the glass without any shield. Only con is that it seems to attract dust. But given that it is so invisible to the sight and touch a little POOF and no dust at all, I think it is static, because it is new, and will soon wear off. But if you need a shield, heck, YOU DO NEED A SHIELD!! This is the one to buy...""
This has attracted my attention. It is the best one I have ever had on any of my phones. (Now if you can make those camera lens covers from this material, I would be extremely happy)
I received mine on Saturday. Beautiful packaging. The instructions where a bit on the small side, but its pretty self explanatory. The application went well enough, but keep in mind that this glass seems to be cut exactly the same size as the glass on the M8. So when you start to apply it make sure it starts exactly where it does on the phone. If you are even a little pulled away from the start of the glass on the opposite side of the glass it wont stick down because it will be slightly on the speaker grill. After getting that straightened out it looks incredible. For the price you cant go wrong.
Anyone who knows how to take care of a phone knows you need a screen protector.
Scratch proof glass just isn't after enough time has passed. But there's a reason manufacturers stick with glass for screens. It's tactile, your finger glides over it with silky precision. It gives the phone a solid and dependable touch to it. A solid reassurance. Most importantly, glass gives the best transmission of light from the underlying pixels so it makes the display look vibrant.
Then you have to slap some cheap plastic on top of it, This was far easy to apply to the phone. The glass and the phone join together like magic, after you have aliened it over the phone the two bond together, the Best part is there isn't a bubble beneath it, which I can't stand in plastic screens.
This is a revolutionary product. I love it. There are only a few cons to having this is an ever so slight increase in thickness in your phone. Plastic screen protectors are negligibly thick but glass has to be a bit thicker to be effective. Personally, I like the added thickness, modern phones are, to me, increasingly flimsy feeling. This gives it a bit more substance (My case still fits without issues as-well). I have also found 2 out of 4 corners are a little sharp and could of been slightly more rounded.
Overall this is one amazing screen protector and I look forward to showing it off on my phone.
How many taken part in this thread actually paid for theirs? Given that ZeroLemon were offering free units in return for reviews. It's hard to determine genuine positives from this thread. Has anyone compared this product to the others such as Nillkin (arguably best tempered screen protector), Mime, Zagg etc.

I have had the Nilkin on my M8, saved the screen when it fell on the floor when I was in the doctors office. But it was thicker, and always showed my fingerprints. This screen (Even though I didn't pay for it) is the best I have had. I have had tempered glass on my screens for a couple years, almost always the cheap ones from China that takes 6+ weeks to get here. This one is local and cost is similar, would I have bought it? I don't normally shop Amazon, so unless it was on eBay I probably would not, unless I seen it on someones device, or at least heard good news about it. I didn't even know that the glass resist fingerprints. Would I but another? Yep... I have already showed it to a friend, and she is going to get her M8 this weekend and order this shield. Because it is a lot better than the one on her M7. So even though you might think that the review is biased because it was free, it isn't. It is a good shield and not bad on the price either.... :good:
I got mine in the mail today.
1. It is awesome. It covers the entire glass portion of the front of the phone. Not just the active LCD area.
2. It is extremely smooth. This makes it feel as if it is not there.
3. It's oleophobic coating is superb. Haven't seen a single finger print.
4. It is extremely clear, I cannot tell it is there.
5. I have it paired with the Otter box symmetry case and feel as if my phone has the ultimate protection.
6. The only draw back was during the installation I kept getting a raised corner. This was because Tue glass is cut to very small tolerances and matches the M8's screen perfectly. I had to slow down and focus on what I was doing.
All in all I am pretty happy with it and will be buying a second one to keep as a backup. I see this protector lasting the life of phone and keeping the resale value in since the screen will be in perfect condition whenever it is peeled off.

I understand your concern. We are sending free samples in exchange for an honest review. We do not send samples to everyone, only legit users. You guys are welcome to compare our screen protector with other brands.
I have received my tempered glass protector from Zerolemon. Before I start I'll say that it was sent for review on condition that I review it. They told me to make an honest review, and never set any guidelines which leaves me to do and say whatever I'd like. I am in no way obliged to give a good review as they have nothing on me and have not told me otherwise.
The protector arrived in excellent, eco-friendly packaging that was simplistic yet effective in explaining what the product is and how to install it. Right away I could tell that the glass protector was of good quality and not simply a Chinese knock-off. I have used dozens of protectors including Spigen's $40.00 Nano slim, and this is comparable, if not better given the price.
The protector installed without a hassle, and aligned IDENTICALLY with my screen. The cut-out is perfect unlike other protectors, and offers maximum coverage with no exposed areas of the screen.
Included in the package are an anti-bacterial wipe and cloth to make sure you screen is very clean before installation. Once done, you take off the back film from the glass protector and simply let it adhere to the screen of your M8.
Again, this review was is in no way dictated by ZeroLemon, and I could of written anything I wanted. In fact, I already had another tempered glass protector installed so I didn't even need a 'free sample'.
I give this product a 10/10 simply because it's of top quality, and for the price, you cannot beat it.
I have recently received an ultra glass 9h tempered glass screen protector from zerolemon about a week ago. Upon first glance the packaging is well put together with the screen protector placed securely inside. The packaging comes with the tempered glass protector, a microfiber cloth, and an alcohol wipe to clean the screen off. The directions can be kind of confusing if you have never applied a screen protector or a glass screen protector before as they seem to be worded weird. If you apply to protector properly it looks extremely nice and feels as if there were no protector on it. The one thing I do not like about this glass protector is that it is a little on the thick side. With a case on the phone thou you don’t really notice how thick it is, but I do not use a case so I can feel the thickness of the protector. Without the case I need to be more careful when I put it and pull it out of my pocket to make sure that it doesn’t peel off or catch on the inside of my pocket. I have also noticed that this protector can have a little bit of glare in direct sunlight or light unlike the screen with no protector on it but it’s not that bad. All in all this a fantastic screen protector and for $8.99 you can’t really beat the price for any other screen protector, especially a glass protector. I would recommend this protector to anyone who wants to get a glass protector and give it shot!

Ok, i was normally running naked since i've had my m8 and got a .10 cent chine film screen protector for a while but it fell off on one of my trips to the beach. I contacted zerolemon to inquire upon the free product.
Fast forward a week and i got it 3 days ago. Putting it on was a snap, its very precise with its cuts. My crappy chinese case was very close to not fitting but it did with a little adjusting.
Now yesterday at santa cruz my girlfriend put our phones on trunk lid area while we grabbed our stuff. She grabbed her phone and we started closing the lid and foolishly we slammed the trunk 2 times. i eventually notices my phone and immediately freaked out, but fortunately the only cracks was 3 in diff areas, and my actual screen was unharmed. If it wasn't for this product i would have a cracked phone right now and im still rocking my slightly cracked glass armor until i order a new one soon.
I'm giving this screen 10/10 across everything just for saving my ass. I highly reccomend this screen
Now that is a test I don't want to try. LoL

Just place cards, not really phony. If you wanted to test it out free, then you need to review it, good or bad. But so we was ask to post a temp review on there till we get the screen and check it out. Once it is checked out, the tester can go back and edit his review to show what he/she feels about it.

Unbelievable. A "temp" review? Why not let people review the item after they actually use it, instead of telling people to leave 5 star reviews for an item they don't even have yet?

Matte vs Glossy Screen Protector

Hey everyone. So I just got my brand new droid turbo and was wondering what brand and type of screen protector you are using and if you recommend it.
I understand the general pros and cons of matte vs glossy, but with the droid turbo having a quadHD display and having the pixels not so close to the top of the screen as other phones (from what I heard) should that affect choosing one over the other?
Thanks for any and all input!
Waiting for zagg glass or zagg invisishield HD... don't get anything else.
I've been a long time Zagg user, but picked up the Skinomi - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OYX80W4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Put it on last night and pretty happy with how easy it went on and the fact it fit pretty much edge to edge (a little shy on the bottom but since I'm using the Tech21 case from Verizon pretty unnoticable. A lot cheaper than the Zagg but quality seems on par. It will be interesting to see how it holds up.
The skinomi looks like a quality product. How is the 'drag' when sliding your finger across the screen compared to zagg?

Non-existent. Comparable to a Zagg HD screen, no orange peel feel on the Skinomi. I think I'm noticing a little more finger oil left behind on the Skinomi vs. the Zagg but not enough to be noticeable and not 100% sure. The screen fit is much better than the Zagg's I put on my wife and son's MotoX's.

Edit: I echo a later comment about 'dents' in the Skinomi. I imagine it's the same property that allows for self healing, but it's making me crazy. I've ordered
Motorola Droid Turbo (Verizon) XT1254 Tempered Glass Screen Protect... http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P8V5J4I/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_RvFGub1RNXY44 and will follow up.
1/7/15 the tempered glass is great. Fits great.
Skinomi has been great so far. I also will note, that once the application fully dried there was no clarity issues (rainbowing) that I've have had in the past with some screen protectors.
I'm not having a good experience with the skinomi. Ordered two a week ago for mine and my wife's turbo, they both went on ok, yet mine had some bubbles in the lower left corner, figured it would clear up in a day or two when all the solution dried up. Wrong, instead it peeled up and would not stick back down. Contacted skinomi for a replacement, recieved Monday, today the upper right corner on the new one peeled up... Bummed.
The upper right corner on the new one had the same type of little bubbles the lower left corner had on the previous. I think it's something to do with the adhesive underside..
I installed skinomi 3 days ago and so far so good. Clarity is solid and the feel of the screen, which is important to me, is smooth . My only problem is that the screen protector gets indents easily, even when I softly press my fingernail against it. I'm not sure if they will work themselves out after a while, but I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker since the product is still doing its job well.

Unfortunately mine are not clearing up and I'm noticing more appearing Not really noticeable during regular use, just if I look for them but will have to see what the next few weeks brings...
I would advise anyone who is unsure to get an HD Clear screen protector. I've never really liked my husband's anti-glare very much. I think it takes away from the screen quality.
Skinomi no go

So it started off well enough but what I noticed is that over time it continued to pick up more and more marks in the protector which never healed and now it's starting to peel up on the edges. Time to find another brand or just go naked since they give us one free screen replacement.
Posted in the glass thread but I am pretty satisfied with this so figure I would share....
If anybody is looking for Zagg quality (plastic glossy) screen protectors I will recommend the XtremeGuard wet install. Very easy to install and after 8 hours you will not have any bubbles. I will eventually get a tempered glass version but not right now as it seems the jury is mostly out still. This is a cheap ($1.99) fix. I am super picky on screen protectors and will stand by this guy. It fits exactly edge to edge. Total screen coverage with no overhang.
For reference, I worked at Best Buy (back in the day) and always used Zagg protectors and would say this rivals it for 10% of the price. Definitely worth a try for those feeling adventurous with the wet install. I hate the crappy dry installs..

Now I am just waiting for people on here to recommend a Tempered glass that isn't garbage..

Still waiting for that tempered glass as well. I bought an hd screen protector from ebay, which left a bubbly mess... so now that Im waiting for the next brand to come in the mail, I've been going with no screen protector, and it's sooooo much better. I'm just going to have to be super careful not to drop. Not sure that I'll ever be able to use a device with a screen protector again after this.

The 'HD' dry installs are always bubbly messes. I guess that's why they sell them in packs of 6. I will never go back to them regardless if they are a name brand like Xtremeguard.
I really don't like screen protectors in general but use my phone at the gym and don't trust myself. The wet install is a solid protector until a good tempered glass comes out.

Hm, I've had some fair luck with the dry install ones. As long as you do it properly, most brands are pretty good. my favorites are tech armor and amfilm, personally, although amfilm doesnt have a screen protector for the turbo, seemingly.

Glossy VS Matt screen protector Ipad?
I noticed there are two types. For the ipad which is better ( i generally use it at home, sometimes take it outside). Whats the difference and which ones better?

If you take it outside, the anti-glare screen protectors will help with sun rays and glare on your screen, but you DO lose some quality of the image. HD will just be a clear piece of plastic that protects the screen, but fingerprints and glare are a bit more of an issue.

Is there ANY tempered glass screen protector that's great with Note 5??

Ok, I've looked through forums, threads here and there, Amazon, manufacturer sites, web searches... and my takeaway is that glass protectors for the Note 5 are a problem... in particular the protectors don't fully cover the screen (just the flatter part) and there are halo effects. The non-curvature issue can also cause dust to accumulate, apparently, by getting into the edges.
Is there, in fact, ANY really great tempered glass screen protector that does the job?? One that fully fits the curves along of the Note 5's screen, has non-sharp edges, and isn't a headache to install or otherwise deal with? I see the same type complaints whether the glass protector is inexpensive or at the high-price end.
I have a new Note 5 arriving next week, and I'd love to know which are the top choices. Or, because of the curved screen, front side, is this just a holy grail search never to be reached?
My guess is that once manufacturer's continue to get feedback they will fix the issue, but it will take time and feedback from consumers. The device is fairly new so I would say in about another month or so the issues Should, or so I would hope, be ironed out. If you cannot wait, I would suggest getting a case with a built in screen protector. Give Artech21 a jingle, they have a case with a built in screen protector, and I believe they are still looking for testers for their cases. I am going to be receiving mine whenever they ship. At the moment it seems like September 30th, at least according to Amazon, but I hope to get one sooner than later.
Either way, a decent case and being careful will go far to help deal with your screen until, either manufacturers fix the issues, or you can get a case with a built in screen protector.
I bought the tempered glass screen protector at the T-Mobile store. Forget the brand, but came in a big green box, with a roller and bed like thing to put the phone in, and apply it dummy proof easy. It is on clear and zero bubbles, and can barely even see the protector whatsoever.
Skinomi.com is where I purchased mine. Absolutely perfect for my Tab S so I made the purchase for the Note. Also perfect in every way! I paid around 7 bucks through ebay

This is the screen protector your talking about http://www.pure-gear.com/shop-by-de...oll-on-kit-biodegradable-samsung-devices.html, Also cheaper direct through manufacturer by about $15. At any rate it looks like a good screen protector and very easy to apply. I may give it a shot once I get my device sorted out.
The Zagg glass from Verizon is a perfect fit, but if you have to be insanely accurate. If you are, the results are amazing. I read on another thread that version Best Buy carries does not fit well so I went straight to Verizon. Yes it's pricey but worth it. I'm used to staying under $15 for a glass one for my last few purchases. I purchased 2 backups (different manufacturers) for $3 total from Amazon with coupon codes, but it's good to know I won't need them. Let me know if you need pictures.
edit: For the most part, halos are causes by wrong cuts or if you are off by a hair in either direction. If applied correctly with the right brand, it should cover 100% of the flat area before the curve.
Thanks!
Pictures would be great!
Also... thanks everyone for the input so far! For the above-mentioned glass protectors, do they cover the curved part of the screen in a form-fitting way?
In the meanwhile, I've ordered from Amazon a couple of glass screen protectors as an inexpensive first step solution awaiting products that subsequently come out that may take advantage of user stories/input. The two are: (1) IVSO with lifetime warranty and (2) YooTech with lifetime warranty.
I also ordered three Note 5 cases from Amazon to try: (1) Spigen Air Cushion Slim Armor Case, Champagne Gold, model SGP11687; (2) Spigen Neo Hybrid Carbon Case, Gunmetal, model SGP11689; and (3) Urban Armor Gear Case, Black.
Unless I have totally overlooked it, you won't find a protector that covers the curve in a glass form. It wouldn't be physically possible since the glass protectors do not have any bend/give at the ends to cover the edges of the screen.
Looks to be possible
I wonder what might be the engineering reason for not producing a curved tempered glass screen protector. Cost perhaps? For example the screen itself is curved, why can't the protector be formed (molded in a sense) to mate to that? Search on "curved tempered glass" and you'll see that it is possible to create curved tempered glass.
Also, look up: "Cinder .2 mm Gorilla Glass Screen Protector for iPhone 6/6+" on YouTube (I'm new to XDA, can't post links yet!). This protector IS curved on the edges to follow the form of the phone. I'd love to see this for Note 5!
The Cinder is from Cupert. Check out Cupert (period) com.

i'm using this on my Note5, and so far, it's has the least amount of "halo" effect. probably .5 mm or less and barely noticeable unless you're looking for it; i can live with that for now. (see picture below) i used a T-Mo discount to purchase and have installed in the store. was told as long as i have my receipt they'll replace it if there's significant "halo".

Zero haloing. It might look that way because of the angle I shot it (6 plus camera .. sadface)
Supersheild works fine.
Mixed reviews + hope for the future
For all of the above-mentioned glass screen protectors, when I look at their Amazon ratings, I see overall a mixed set of reviews, primarily around halo issues and the screen not fitting enough of the Note 5's glass, and with some users having complaints about installation. My conclusions so far: that this represents what's currently on the market. However, presumably there's hope for a better product, e.g., a Gorilla Glass thin, sleek glass protector that curves to edges and fully form fits the entire screen, as is the case with the Cinder product made for the iPhone (in which instance the holy grail seems to have been found). We now know that this appears to be possible for a large curved device (see the Cinder references/web site I mentioned above).
My hunch is that a fully form-fitting glass protector would also provide better shock protection for the screen versus one that doesn't fully mate to the screen, curves and all.

Can you confirm if it's actually glass? I was going to buy it (not from tmobile, $40 is robbery) but the "flexible" part is what threw me off. How can a tempered glass SP be flexible? The mfg website states that it's made of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET).

I got the same one and yes it is dummy proof but the sides don't lay flat. It also gets greasy really easy. I've used this one http://www.amazon.com/Protector-Tem...pebp=1441665200689&perid=1CDB4C1PX00MRMTNJ7SD on other devices and it seems to work a lot better.

Suggestions for screen protector

Decided I shouldn't go without a screen protector, looks like the tempered glass ones won't work well because the screen in curved on the edges. Anyone have experience with or can recommend a good one? I often see suggestions on here that I couldn't find on my own and I'm thinking one of you guys can help.
By the way i went with this case:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M15T2I3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1
I like it except that the camera and volume buttons aren't cut outs. It fits the phone well.
I appreciate any suggestions.
Same boat as you. The ones offered Amazon all seem to complain about them being too thin, bezel to bezel.

Nillkin has crappy cases for F5321 that offer little more than scratch protection, and you're incessant advertising for them across the all the device boards is obvious, so you can hardly be considered objective. Please go troll your mother and go away. There are people here looking for serious solutions.

I decided to go with the Skinomi as well, put it on my XC yesterday. Very happy with the results, it's been a while since I have used a non-tempered glass screen protector and for some reason I was expecting the touch screen to be hard to use and the experience generally unpleasant. This wasn't the case and it fits perfectly. recommended.

I saw those but have seen to many negative things about G Color protectors to ever try one out myself. Lots of videos on youtube about them being crap.
I got these ones from ebay and they're a perfect fit. Quite easy to apply and cover right to the edge of the curved screen.
Worthwhile watching the video before starting. It's been on a few weeks now and no finger marks and the feel is good

I ordered one of those g color protectors yesterday. I'll be that guy that tests it. Should get it sunday. If its moot I'll try that skinomi one. I kinda want the skinomi one just for the rear protector.
edit: Ok got it in yesterday. Packaging was nice and it came with the normal included things. Putting it on was kind of a pain in the ass. This was mostly contributed to the curved screen but it is doable with some patience. I messed up putting it on the first time and lifted it up gently and repositioned it. The adhesive was just as sticky as the first time so there is room for error. I have a cheap jelly case off amazon on it currently until my devil case comes in from overseas but it does not have any conflict with the screen protector as long as you get it on next to perfect.
Clarity is good except for one small small detail and another really annoying detail. The small detail is you can see a line around the boarder between the glass and the "carbon fiber". While annoying I can understand that it's 2 different materials and I don't see how you couldn't have that problem. The really annoying one is it cuts off some pixels on both sides of the screen. It isn't really noticeable until i use reddit sync which then when viewing the comments it becomes apparent. It kinda irritates me but for the moment I'd rather have a couple of blocked off pixels then the screen exposed.
I give it a 6/10 mostly because of the cut off pixels. If it wasn't for that my initial rating would be more of a 8 or a 9/10. I will comment later on down the road if I experience the adhesive pulling up.

Lol, I am positive I saw your review on Amazon when I left mine (we also have the same case). Anyhow, although I disagree with the installation, I agree with everything else. Installation for me was slightly confusing, but really easy once I understood what to do. Air bubbles were a pain to get out, but that's to be expected. As for the quality, it's perfectly fine except for your two points. Mostly your second point: the pixel cutoff. While definitely bearable and not very noticeable most of the time, in certain apps it really is irritatingly noticeable. I would have to recommend against getting this screen protector and waiting until a better one comes out. I'm keeping it on until I find a really good case and/or a better glass screen protector.
Has anyone tried the Nillkin "Amazing H tempered glass screen protector"? Would really like to know if it's any good because I enjoy their frosted case.

BTW, their case for this phone is really thick. Not as stylish as their early, asymmetrical cases :/

This is not great, but is the best I've found so far. It's not got perfect adhesion on the edges, but I've tried the super soft screen protector, flat glass and curved glass with glue only on the edges so dirt gets under it. I'd love to find a curved glass one that has glue all over it instead of just a tiny but around the edges.
I'm also looking for a curved screen protector that "glues" properly (direct contact) to the entire screen, not just the edges.
It doesn't have to be tempered glass either, simple cheap TPU would work fine.
The ebay one mentioned above doesn't ship outside of UK, so it's no good for me.

Moto Z2 Force Glass Screen Protector MegaThread!!

Hi everyone!
I"m very excited for Aug 10th to get this phone... and even though it's shatterproof, I've heard from a few people on YouTube that the phone is NOT scratchproof :/ So we are still going to have to search for the Best Screen Protector.
As new ones come out and are verified, I will update this post! Good luck with the search everyone. My first one that I'm going to try is Probably the Mr Shield or an OMOTON one. I don't see amFilm yet, but it's early still.
Cheers!
Stu
I had the Z force. The screen came pre-installed with a plastic protector which scratches instantly. I never removed mine, just placed a glass one over it. When I did that the screen became super reflective because there were too many layers of stuff (it was annoying). This time I will remove the plastic screen protective the moment the glass one arrives. From the old phone they say that the Verizon glass protectors were the best, I think they are listed as flexible glass. Others have said they used different brands that have worked well too, so we will just have to try and see. One things for sure, it will need a glass protector right out of the box unless you like scratches.

You haven't burst my bubble, this is good news. It's one less step I have to take now to get my glass protector on. I would suggest everyone get the absolute thinnest glass screen protector you can find to keep the light touches responsive and screen glare to a minimum.
While Amazon is amazing, it can be incredibly frustrating trying to sift through the hundreds of cheap Chinese junk products to find the quality ones. You can't always go by reviews either. I like to look for bigg-ish name brands and read their product page thoroughly. I decided to go with this protector: https://www.amazon.com/Protector-Skinomi-Hardness-Ballistic-Tempered/dp/B071G6ZV7J/ It's made by Skinomi which makes high quality products. They also listed the glass to be .33mm thick which is the thinnest I could find. I checked the Verizon website and they had two options, one not listing the thickness and the other being .4.
Also the Skinomi one mentions something about clarity and I suspect that the cheaper protectors are the ones with a lot of reflection to them. Not sure on that. I will come back and give my review of the Skinomi glass protector when I get it on the phone.
I bought this same brand last year for my Moto Z and it has been great. So I ordered the Moto Z2 force version. Hopefully quality will be as good:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072M7WH6N/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got my phone today and put on the Skinomi protector within 5 seconds. No bubbles, easy install, no extra glare, and I can give the screen the absolute lightest touch and it responds. I'm talking I can barely feel the touch on the tip of my finger and it works. That .33mm thickness works well.

Yeahhhh....IQshield one not so good. Doesn't apply correctly to the screen. Used all 3 and every single one has a nice bubble in the lower right of the device next to the home button. Glass feels good, but either my device has a nice bend in the lower right or the glass just isn't flat. Other interesting thing....3 pack of protectors, yet only ONE set of installation stuff (prep pad/dust remover sticker).....weird. I'd just recommend staying far away from this one. Has good reviews, but I don't get how. And I'm not a rookie when it comes to screen protectors, so I know I'm putting this thing on right...

It's not bubbles, though. The entire lower right to the right of the fingerprint sensor doesn't adhere to screen. So either my device came bent or the batch of protectors I got are slightly warped in that lower right.

I've had that happen before with certain phones. No brand could fix it. Even this phone did it right in the beginning and over the course of a day it fully sealed. Good luck in solving this because it can be very annoying.

Agreed. Nothing makes a 700+ dollar phone look cheap like a nice big air gap under a screen protector lol

I used this one and I have no bubbles at all! Moto Z2 Force Screen Protector [2-Pack], ILLUMI AquaShield Full Coverage Screen Protector for Moto Z2 Force HD Clear Anti-Bubble Film https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0721LSQHC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_A4ZZPt6yqgSTa

Of course it has no bubbles because it's plastic and you did a good job putting it on. Nice rainbow effect with the light though.

I got my phone today and put on the Skinomi protector within 5 seconds. No bubbles, easy install, no extra glare, and I can give the screen the absolute lightest touch and it responds. I'm talking I can barely feel the touch on the tip of my finger and it works. That .33mm thickness works well.

The Verizon ones look the best as they cover more of the screen.

I also had an issue with a persistent gap, using this screen protector, in the upper left and right corners (left of the FFC and right of the flash). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072Q55HFY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I ordered a different brand, but intended to just leave this one on until it arrived. After about 36 hours and heating up and cooling down a few times, the gaps had disappeared. My theory is that the phone's screen is just not as flat as a traditional glass panel, so you do not have two perfectly flat mating surfaces when using a tempered glass screen protector. It seems the screen is soft enough to eventually form to the screen protector, as i'm sure the screen protector is a more stable material than the screen.

I know bubbles usually go away in a short time.
It's not bubbles, though. The entire lower right to the right of the fingerprint sensor doesn't adhere to screen. So either my device came bent or the batch of protectors I got are slightly warped in that lower right.

Mine does the same thing, got the IQ
I got this one. Should have been $35 from T-Mobile but I got it free since I know the workers there almost intimately. Should tell you how often I go to that specific store. They didn't have Zs in stock but ordered one for me.

How is it. I got this one to try from skinomi
https://www.amazon.com/Protector-Sk...084&sr=8-5&keywords=z2+force+screen+protector
I didn't like how it set on the phone, couldn't get it to adhere everywhere. Currently I got a z play screen protector on my device. It cover the fingerprint partially, but seems to be better then the skinomi.

I'm not sure because of the black bottom and top and the screen protector makes it so I can't see any non adhesiveness.
