LG G watch R squeaking. - LG G Watch R

Does you watch squeal?
It’s been driving me crazy for several days now. And I couldn't find what is making this sound.
Could you please test this?
This is the only mic I have (on my phone) so I apologize for the video in advance.

Thanks

Sorry, mine doesn't do this.

I have tried another watch and is also squeaking.
If you listen carefully in quite room, place the heart rate sensor against your ear.
Also when you turn the screen on the sound changes.

But, it's a watch. You should wear it on your arm, not in your ear .
Skickat via Tapatalk

This is really getting absurd, burn-in after three seconds use, making squeaking noise if you stay 3 hours in a silent room... Guys how about using the stuff you buy normally? I bet that if you put the watch in - 40° C for some hours, it might malfunction. I'm desperate...

You’re missing the point.
I can hear it when lying in bed.
The problem is that this is due to faulty capacitors.
The problem is that from this point this issue will only get worst.
All I am trying to find is if this is a single fault in one device or manufacturing fault.

I also have this problem

Doesn't happen on mine but then again I've only had this watch for about 3 months.

What's the serial number of your watch (you can see ti in Settings -> About)? Maybe it's related.
Mine is 502KP...

Not this number, these are just the last 4 letters of the bluetooth MAC address.
Look in Settings -> About -> Serial number, it should be a long string starting with 410K or 411K, 412K, 501K, 502K, and so on.
This number is interesting

411KP

2X Antenna Signal Issue

Hi foks!
I've read in a Tech review that de 2x is withnissing signal droppes when held with your hand.
Can anyone conform this,
I know it will drop on every phone these days and I don't mind if the signal drops.
As long as not everything drops.... (so you still have atleast one signal bar).
I have big hands and am worried about this problem.
I know where your coming from here my hands arnt the smallest..... maybe a case will help? (laughs.... iPhone 4)
Then don't cover the bottom of the phone where the antenna is located.
No problems here.
No problems here either both wifi and gsm are stable

Just got the phone.
Signal drop is max 2 bars, I can live with that.

Will do when I have some time.
I don't have antenna problems (as far as i've noticed) but.... I do have one strange problem, I am able to call, and be called., but sometimes I can't hear anything and I'm also not able to talk to the other person. The other person can't hear me as well, it's like a total calling black-out. After rebooting a few times, it works again.. Does anyone has this as well ? (I haven't found out what's causing this)

I have this issue when the setting is on GSM/UMTS. Then when holding the phone operating it normally you can see the signal drop to one bar and sometimes zero bar. When set to GSM only I get full bar any which way I hold it.
The antenna is clearly on the bottom of the device. Covering it with the palm kills the signal bassically. True tale.
From anandtech:
"Signal Attenuation Comparison in dB—Lower is Better
Cupping Tightly Holding Naturally On an Open Palm
LG Optimus 2X 13.7 9.3 5.9
Nexus S 13.3 6.1 4.3
Droid 2 11.5 5.1 4.5
BlackBerry Torch 15.9 7.1 3.7
Dell Streak 14.0 8.7 4.0
Droid X 15.0 5.1 4.5

HTC Nexus One 17.7 10.7 6.7"
http://www.anandtech.com/show/4144/...gra-2-review-the-first-dual-core-smartphone/9
I tried it now with 2 hands and full signal. There is no difference.

How long have you been having these issues?
Are you 100% sure it's not carrier issues / local interference.
I manage 15+ mobiles of various makes at work and see the issues you describe maybe once a year, they are usual resolved by rebooting a couple of times and maybe waiting an hour or two.

I had these issues since Tuesday evening and Wednesday almost all day, after booting up to 3 times, it works for a few moments and then it was dead again(I also had some problems with changing the volume in media, the buttons just didnt work in some games). So today i decided to do a hard reset, and so far everything seems like it's working. I tried to call a few times today, and it worked. But there was one moment there was this strange noise, like a zooming bee.. really soft, but the other person could hear it better than me. I was also able again to change the media volume in games.
If i experience any troubles I'll share them again Thanks for the replies so far
-- EDIT
It happened again -.- Can't hear or talk again. Going to call LG and T-mobile about it tomorrow

I decided the cancel my contract renewal with this phone. Returned it to T-mobile and i'll just wait a few more months to see what will come ! I just didn't want to take a risk to use the VIP service within the 8 days you can decide to agree on the contract or not. And also, having to use the VIP service while your phone is just 2 days old gives me a bad feeling about this phone (also reading other stories about bugs and stuff). I hope others do enjoy their phone

Droid 4 Shutting Off Randomly

About a week ago my D4 started to randomly shut off. Opening the keyboard, using Dolphin, or just sitting in my pocket. I am unable to turn it back on without plugging it in to a charger, like it needs a jump or something. Once it fires back up, it says I have plenty of battery. The only other thing I see is when I plug it in but don't turn it on, it says it has 0-5% battery. It is rooted with safestrap and Eclipse installed but I've been running the stock version because some things weren't working quite right in Eclipse. Iv'e seen some posts say it could be a battery problem. Others say to factory reset or SBF. I'm going to give these a try but does anyone else have any ideas? I bought it off ebay a month ago and I'm worried they might not honor the warranty being purchased second hand. Luckily I still hadn't sold my trusty D3, but I dowant to get the D4 back in operation.
I've seen this problem with a few other of my older keyboard phones and it was always a hardware issue. I bet a ribbon has pressure applied to it so that the system briefly doesn't detect a battery...

I figured something like that. Weird thing is every once in a while if I plug it in to the charger it will show 5% battery, then go up to 10% after about 20 minutes, then suddenly shoot up to 100%. The phone would work fine off the charger for about a half hour then die, rinse and repeat. So it is charging but only like 5% then it will show 100%. I'm probably just going to bring it in and hopefully get a replacement.
Well I ended up calling Verizon and they are going to send a replacement, no questions asked. Apparently it doesnt matter if you bought the phone second hand, they will still honor the warranty (or I got just the right CSR). Case closed.
Really? They told me to f* off last time I called about warranty off a phone from cl... lol
I was guessing they were going to tell me to F off as well since most people were saying that's what they do when you try to get a warranty replacement on a second hand phone. It was literally the best experience I've ever had calling any customer service line. Told him my phone wouldn't stay on, he said he was going to talk to an engineer, next thing I know he's asking for my address. Win!
interesting.. will call tomorrow (my earpiece speaker crackles) >_>
Just got to get the right person to answer. My guy actually sounded like he was based in the US, not Kazakhstan. I told the person on the phone my story and that I had already gone to an authorized retailer (which I did) and that my phone wouldnt stay on. Put me on hold for a minute, came back and said were going to get a warranty replacement out. What may have helped is that I had my D3 active on my line and D4 was deactivated, so maybe they couldnt look up the info that would flag it as not from original buyer.

Mine does this too. Not all the time, just enough to irritate me. I've been putting off calling in to get a replacement because I'm worried whatever they send me will have more problems than just a crackling ear piece.

Whoops forgot to update. New phone definitely has less crackle. Old one was very noticeable, new one has little to no crackle. Only thing was it wasn't updated when I got it, had to manually go in and have it update to 219. I don't use the rear speaker very often but I don't remember it having a cracking sound. All in all there are no issues with it

No. i said i dont see any physical problems. but i was asking about problems like checking dead pixels, checking that colors are right, checking other things that maybe require installing some apps for that, etc.
There are a couple of apps on the play store that can check (or help to check) for dead pixels apparently. I've not bothered with them and I just put a white screen on the N7 and looked at it. If I cant see a dead pixel, then I cant see the point of worrying about anything that my eyes are unable to notice.
All I did was
(1) Check the S/N so I could tell it was not a returned old version
(2) See if I could see any scratches or dents or any physical damage
(3) Turned it on and checked the screen had no dead pixels
(4) Checked for screen lift on the left
(5) Checked for light bleed
(6) Checked for any rippling along the sides
(7) Checked the OS version
(8) Checked the speaker was okay using the free film
That was enough for me. I'm a bit OCD, but I'm happy enough that its not got any obvious or reported issues.
Turn upp the brightness check for lightbleed in a dark room and check so that the screen hasn't lifted from the glass. Other than that there's nothing special you need to check in my opinion.

Nexus 5 power button rattle fix....

Right, I may or may not be alone in this but the rattle from my power button was really starting to p**s me off. I could hear it clearly when the phone was at arms length and I tapped the screen anywhere in the top half. I thought it was the camera at first, then found holding the power button still whilst using the phone stopped it. This morning I was using my phone and decided to do something about it.
First can I say this was not any normal rattle (i.e camera lens), you could clearly hear it at arms length whilst tapping the screen in the top half. I made this video because people have told me they have the same issue. If you take your phone apart and break it, that's not my fault.
For those that have this problem and decide to do this, I hope it helps It has made me a hell of a lot happier with the phone.

Ah, forgot to mentiom, this is my 2nd one. Bought my first one and heard the rattle, took it back after 2 hours. The replacement does the same thing and looking on here in the defects thread it seems a few people have the problem. There's no sort of warranty seal inside the phone and the stuff can easily be taken out again should it die for some reason and I need to get a new one under warranty.

Some people analyse small insignificant things too much, surely it couldn't have made an audible noise level outside of a sound proof box.
Did the sales person look at you bemused or did he test the rattle and end up deafened by it?

He agreed that he could hear the rattle. It may not have seemed that important to him in a loud and busy shop, but when you're sat on your sofa in the evening and even the slightest of taps near the top of the screen make it rattle it doesn't take long before it becomes very annoying. If it were just when I shook the phone near my ear or something then I would have just accepted it, but it's the fact it is hard to ignore, even at arms length, made me want to do something about it.

Hey everyone i need help my Note 8 shutdown when detect moisture or when is little wet exampel i have wet hands and Note detect it and shutdown my phone than restart it and than show popup message about moisture detection....but after that i leave phone for 10 minutes to moisture gone than phone again shutdown and restart but now without popup message...is there any fix or soulution

If it were me, I'd grab any silica gel packets lying around, and seal your phone in a container that is airtight for at least a few hours, overnight to be safe. This will remove excess moisture. If you still get the error after that, I'd be calling Samsung. These devices have an IP68 rating for water resistance, and it shouldn't even come up.

Just do a warranty claim, I got exactly the same problem for almost 2 months. At that time I got mad about the whole situation and finally called Samsung, they gave me a ticket number to send my phone back to them and they repaired under warranty.
Since then the phone doesn't do that any more. That has something to do with the mother board because the resolution of the repairs was to replace the mother board.

Wouldn't we all have that issue if it was an Oreo bug? Maybe the moisture detection wasn't working properly under Nougat and then was fixed under Oreo. Just a thought, but it's plausible. Based on available info there's no certainty it's software only, at least as of yet.

Well either that or Samsung have another big hardware problem on their hands as this has been reported all over the US and UK Samsung forums, XDA, Overclockers.co.uk Note 8 thread and numerous other mobile sites.....
I find it hard to believe it's hardware on mine though. As I said, flashing Nougat back on the phone and putting water over the charger I get a water drop, moisture detected, phone works as normal and won't charge until the port is dry, then the water drop goes, as it should behave, both hardware and software side of this is working.
On Oreo, water drop detected, phone locks up, phone reboots instantly.
Doesn't look like hardware in my case.

What you are experincing is abnormal, I live in a very humid enviroment and I have not ever had a warning about moisture, something is wrong with your device, make a warranty claim!

Two things.
1) Correlation does not equal causation; your issue could have been present prior to the update, and the update actually fixed moisture detection in some way as someone mentioned earlier.
2) Regardless, these phones have a rating that is supposed to circumvent that anyway. I would settle for nothing less than a replacement under warranty; these phones were almost $1k new. That kind of money needs to be accompanied by steadfast customer service.
Shoot, the first time that happens to my I'd be getting warranty claim asap. IP68, that crap should not happen.

Then you'll be getting through a lot of Note 8's as they will all do it.
Once again, it's a software problem.

I've yet to see this on my N8. Maybe I'm lucky? I live in South Texas. Sticky weather. I'm out and about everyday. *shrugs*

Run it under a tap, get the charging port wet. Post your results?

Again? I did that a few times already when I first bought my N8 and S8 Plus to show it off to some folks. It was pretty fun. Sucks that SOME folks are experiencing this but I haven't gotten a sense that this is a widespread issue. Same as the issue of some folks experiencing a crazy amount of micro scratches on their displays when there's just as many other N8 users scratching their heads wondering why they don't have these same micro scratches.
Oh well. I guess it's just life. Some experience stuff like this and others don't. *shrugs*

When you first got it.....
Have you tried it recently now you are on Oreo?
EDIT: You're in the US so have the snapdragon, maybe this is the issue? Mind you, loads of Americans are reporting this issue too and they'll have the same SoC as you. Weird.
