Voice+ instead of Hangouts on Lollipop? - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there anyone working to port Voice+ over to Lollipop. I know the xVoice+ isn't possible yet, since xposed doesn't work with the new runtime, but CM had the original voice+ without using the closed framework, and I'm wondering if that feature can be pushed to lollipop? I really hate trying to start a new conversation with someone via SMS with hangouts, since it's very ****tily done!
Thanks for the help!

Now that xposed is available Lollipop. Anyone have any update or news on having xVoice+ working?

Best bet is to find the app in the downloads section of xposed and see if they have LP support. Or if they maybe have a thread here on XDA.

Marshmallow?
Any word on it working for marshmallow?

Thanks to iHelp101!! See update for lollipop:

Nope
And might not be.
We can only hope another xposed type mod comes on the scene in the coming months. As has been said, xposed might not get re-written for L. Big job by all accounts.
Personally if a battery % and center clock mod came about, I'll be a happy bunny!
Here's the latest about Xposed for Lollipop. Expect it "soon"!

Excellent news (for some)
Anyone installed xposed and the gravitybox mod on the Lollipop GPE stock rom as yet? Just wondering what if any the bugs are like?
Xposed and Gravitybox are bother in Alpha, the latter was released yesterday.

[Q] Xposed Lollipop question

Hi,
I don't want to start an argument over when/whether/how Xposed will ever run on lollipop, I just have a hypothetical question. If you're gonna hate, please go hate in one if the other threads on the subject.
What I want to know is: IF Xposed is fully ported across to lollipop will the existing modules still work, or will the require rewriting/modifying.
Obviously any modules that require functionality specific to KitKat or other android versions will break, but what about more genetic modules?
Thanks in advance,
Sotolotl
i'm assuming the only person who can answer this is @rovo89..
I think it depends. Some single purpose mods may still work. But the multimods like wanan and gravity box will need a new one because they already have Android specific for Jellybean and kit kat versions. Just my guess.
Xposed API will be the same:

[Q] What happens when xposed is updated?

So I have been thinking about getting xposed framework for my Nexus 5 on stock 5.0.1 lollipop but I had a question that I could not find on XDA already. I would like to know how to update xposed when the developer of the framework updates it. Do I just do the process again and have the updated version or do I do something else? Also, when 5.1 lollipop comes out for the Nexus 5, will xposed still work on that? I had xposed for my Nexus 5 when I was on Kit Kat and I absolutely loved it but I feel restricted on what I can do with Lollipop. I know the developer is still working on it though so that is good. I'm excited to see all the modules working for xposed soon!

Simply flash new zip from official XPosed lollipop thread over your existing xposed framework installation. After reboot, install xposed installer alpha2 APK. That's all.
Regarding 5.1, xposed framework most likely won't work on it. If you decide to upgrade to 5.1 using OTA, you will first need to flash system partition to make sure all original system files are in place. Otherwise OTA will fail.

glympse does not work with xpesed/xprivacy

When starting glympse on my temasek rom for note 3 (LP 5.1.1) + xposed v78 (sdk22) with xprivacy enabled it crashes shortly after start.
Anyone else having this issue / knows how to resolve this?

Just stumbled over this thread:
Use Glympse v2.68. It still works. Another option is to use Glympse Express, but that doesn't include a map.
If anyone has a real solution how I would be glad to hear it.

+1 I've been relying on TB Market Detach to stay on v2.68 would love a solution - FWIW same behavior on both Note 4 and Nexus 6P..
maybe write glympse support!
Uninstalling xprivacy resolved this for me. Posted a year ago https://github.com/M66B/XPrivacy/issues/2251 Developer response "blame xposed" and closed the comment. Didn't appear he even looked into it.
Same issue here, xposed v86, xprivacy pro -> glympse just terminates although xprivacy not enabled for this app; just disabeling xprivacy and the same glympse installation works.
Sent from my SM-T810 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Trying to raise awareness in the Xposed thread: HERE.
Same problem here.
Please share your experience and logs in this bug report on Github: https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/176
@bladecgn could you pls edit the typo in the title for search optimization?
I reported a bug to the Glympse Support a second time and they answered: http://glympse.zendesk.com/requests/45340
Maybe they can fix this (it is marked as "has been deemed solved").
Hey, great news. Can you copy and paste? Seems like I am not allowed to see their reply.

I wonder if Xposed devs are looking into this anymore, or if everyone has just moved on from Glympse...
Latest Version 3.08 still not working. Thanks Glympse devs.
Latest Version 3.09 (2016-11-29) still not working. Please fix!

Damn. Lame, lame, lame. I'm still stuck on 2.68 because of this.
Strange. I use latest xposed, xprivacy and glympse all together and glympse works just fine

I use Beanstalk M which is based on cm. I use built in root and normal xposed so nothing systemless. What i do know is that Glympse crashes when some settings in Greenify are enabled but with xposed framework itself i have no problem at all. Before i used resurrection remix also with no probs.

Application Settings - Xposed Module Alternatives for MM?

I was running CM11 on my Nexus 5 for all that time and didn't liked the CM13 because the only Xposed Module that i use is not available in MM. it's Application Settings, it can make me launch apps above the lockscreen, and change the DPI as well! any alternatives?
yes I've already googled the question and i found 2 posts on Reddit, but all are pointing to the community version that available on XDA for Lollipop 5.1 and it does not work on MM! yes it boots up with out any boot loops but it does not work.
Is there any Xposed module alternative or even any way else?
Thanks.
