[TuT]How to install the needed CWM Recovery 6.0.8.2 on s5830i to install CM11 - Galaxy Ace S5830i General

Ok, I see many of you have tried installing CM11 but with "Status 7" on the installing process
See this thread how to install CM11 http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-ace/s5830i-develop/rom-cyanogenmod-11-0-androidarmv6-t2805309
But I've figured out that many of you have not completely understand this process..
First let's install the Clockwork mod Recovery onto our phones:
1.Download this zip onto your SD card Click!
2.Boot into recovery (hold vol + vol- and power until the screen goes on)
3.In recovery select Apply update from SD card and select the Clowermod_Recovery_MTD.zip file and it will install it
4.Select Reboot system now in your stock recovery, or if you have temporary CWM recovery select advanced and Reboot Recovery...
5.Install the CM11 zip from your SD card through the CWM recovery
Second way for installing the CM11 without the bugs and that you can run your phone with SIM card and some bugs fixed also:
1.Follow this thread Click!
2.Go into Odin and put this file in your phone place without PDA and CSC Click!
3.Hit start and boot into stock ROM with that modem
4.Follow the above instructions
And that it is you phone is now running 4.4.4 Kit Kat
Addon:
If you have any trouble during the process (if you didn't go through the explanation very well, if you did there wont be any problems) do this process from this thread
Click!
I am not responsible for any damage done to your mobile phone!!
If you want you can donate to me for this only by clicking nothing else:

I think for the moment you have to restore your system.
Edit

I wish you success !

rom link dead
the link to the cm11 rom doesnt work. I cannot find the cm11 rom for s5830i anywhere. Please help

Best Tutorial I've found! Works perfect. Thanks.

Windows 7 is the most recommended OS to do almost all work without any problem, So I recommend you to activate your existing OS being purchased its license code from ODosta Store
Which is distributing license for almost all types of Microsoft Products with good customer support. I personally use it and have a good experience.
You can upgrade your windows 7 or windows 8.1 pro to windows 10, But you can face some technical issues, So I recommend you to have clean installation of Windows 7, windows 8 or Windows 10 and activate it using legal license.

Help, please: Boot loop during Cyanogenmod zip install

Hello,
I'm not gonna panic, as I think Ive not bricked my phone YET.
Here is what I have done, I have a GALAXY S I9000.
Have been using it for quite some time now. 2 years ago, I have flashed it with - hardcore's kernel with the ClockworkMod Recovery - using Odin.
Today I decided to give Cyanogenmod a go, followed the steps here. - http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S:_Full_Update_Guide
Since I have the hardoce's kernel, I skipped this Installing the ClockworkMod Recovery - and moved on to - Flashing CyanogenMod.
I will go step by step from here.
Download the latest version of CyanogenMod.
Optional: Download the Google Apps for the device.
Place the CyanogenMod update.zip file on the root of the internal memory.
Optional: Place the Google Apps .zip on the root of the internal memory also.
Boot into the ClockworkMod Recovery.
Once the device boots into the ClockworkMod Recovery, use the side volume buttons to move around, and either the power button or the trackball to select.
Select the option to Wipe data/factory reset.
Then select the option to Wipe cache partition.
Select Install zip from sdcard.
done these, no problem so far.
[*]Select Choose zip from sdcard.
when I chose this, phone rebooted, it was so fast something may have come up and I didnt see.
Now I am stuck in a boot loop:
- Galaxy S I9000 samsung screen comes up, goes away for a second, comes up again.
- A page with code appearing from the bottom comes up really fast ( logo in the middle changes quickly) then it disappears.
- whole thing starts again.
UPDATE: I got a picture of the fast screen that comes up. : http://localhostr.com/files/b5NzFRy/2012-08-27 05.07.32.jpg
Some observations.
- I can go into download mode when opening it with the key combo.
- loop only stops when I unplug the battery
I need advice on what caused this and how to fix this, please help me.

are you not able to get into recovery? If only download than you need to get back to GB and than do a progressive update from GB to ICS to JB
Flash it again. From what I've heard, it only flashes the kernel the first time.
I had the same problem today with CM7 today. Just reboot in recovery and flash again cm zip, form there on everything is gonna run smooth!

Hi,
I had the same pb coming from a GB
I think this pb is very common
1) DON'T WORRY !
2) Unplug the battery when bootlooping
3) Put the SGS in Recovery Mode (the CWM's version has changed)
4) Select the CM .zip and flash it AGAIN
5) When it's done, reboot system
This time, everything shoot be OK
Just be carefull with your IMEI (always have a backup of EFS folder !)

Anyone have a trick yet for CM 10.1 v.22 Nightly, I keep getting a bootloop on all their versions except the original one. This is so frustrating because I have to keep going back to stock and then update to ICS.

Same here, after the Samsung and CM logos, and splash animation, it says :
"Encryption unsuccessful.
Encryption was interrupted and can't complete. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accessible.
To resume using your phone, you must perform a factory reset...."
After I tap Reset phone, it goes to CWM recovery.
Do the factory reset and the same thing occured in loop.
I came from JVU and CF root.

How long should the first boot take after following these steps? And does it have to be from SDCARD, because I can't get the rom onto my sd card, I can only do it via usb otg cable

It should work ,but i know with some of CM10.2-nightlies there was a bug and pawitp (the dev) makes a warning not to use the inbuilt updater ...but i think with the last nightlies it should work ...my way is flashing over CWM with the zip-file and not "over the air" ...
Is there any error?

SOLVED
Thanks for your help.
I managed to flash via CWM and now everything is great - and it sorted out my earlier problems which included lack of mobile internet, constant rebooting when turning on and problems with receiving sms texts.
For all those people having similar problem - here are the easy steps to get the new nightly 10.2 rom up and running on your Galaxy S:
1) Download the latest zip file for nightly ROM and latest GAPPS zipp file onto your computer.
2) Connect your mobile to computer and turn on the storage function so that you can see your phone's storage option on my computer.
3) Copy your 2 zip files from above to your phone's storage as zip files without extracting.
4) unplug your phone from the PC, turn off and then go into CWM via volume down/home and power buttons.
5) Select install zip from SD Card and then you should see error message something like 'partition is incorrect/different and you need to wipe data - don't worry about this as you will keep all your apps, ringtones, pictures etc.
6) Install zip from SD card a second time - this should now start the install process. Install the GAPPS file once this is done.
7) Reboot and you should be faced with a Cyanogenmod registration page. Go through the completion process and then your ready to go.
8) check in about phone in your settings to see the latest update in your settings.
I hope this works for you all but as always...this is what worked for me on my Galaxy S and any mod is at your own risk and I wont accept any abuse.

Hello, I have problems installing Xposed on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Android versión 4.0.3 unrooted with cwm Philz Touch 6 versión 6.0.4.6.
I have tried installing it in the classical way and it says the latest version of xposed is currently not active.
I have tried installing it in the Recovery Automatically and it keep saying the latest version of xposed is currently not active, I managed to make that message dissapear if I make a soft reboot antes installing but antes I reboot normally it goles back to the same message.
And when installing in Recovery Manually it brings an error, it says:
In recovery Mode
Did not find /data/data/de. robv.android.Xposed.installer/bin/app_process
Pleas make sure to press install / update in the xposed installer app before flashing this zip.
E: Error in

-copying Xposed-Installer-Recovery.zip...
-Could not copy Xposed-Installer-Recovery.zip to /cache
3)installing using RECOVERY (write zip to SD card, flash manually) - it starts install/update. Tells me to boot to recovery mode.
When entering recovery mode, It cant find the xposed files to extract and install in the SD card.

Can't install any ROM

Hi, I've a big problem with my S3. I wanted to install 5.1.1 Cyanogenmod but every times I got infinite loading (I wiped/factory resetted after but it din't work). Then I wanted to back to SlimSaber 4.4.4
Currently:
- I can get into TWRP recovery
- I can get into download mode, but it contains "Secure Download: Enabled"
- my phone gets infinite loading with SlimKat logo
- It looks that my sd card and internal storage became read-only. I can't copy any file to it, even 100kb image (separately, sd card is also read-only, even having button at "unlocked")
- When I want to use Kies to emergency recover my phone, it downloads files and then always stucks at 0%
- When I want to use Odin it stucks here (tried with few ROMs downloaded via sammobile): http://i.imgur.com/29sHKnU.png
Could you help me, please!
edit: I can write on sd card now, but I've problem with internal storage.

2. Flashed clockworkmod for i9305 (v. 6.0.4.5) via ODIN
3. I flashed nameless nightly 09.07.2015 in cwm and booted it (without gapps)

[SOLVED] Captured Latest OTA but . . .

Hey Guys,
I have been getting an 18MB OTA for my Micromax AndroidOne. However the update keeps failing. I have captured the OTA. The lInk is:
Update to LMY47K
The update failed maybe because I was rooted. But then I factory reset the phone so now, Root should technically be gone. Before doing factory reset, I had also removed root from the SU app. Still, when I try to install OTA update, I am getting an error. So I Captured the OTA and then tried to flashed the zip via recovery as well as ADB Sideload. Both of them gave the same error at the Verifying Current System stage:
Verifying current system...
"/system/bin/install-recovery.sh" has unexpected contents.
E:Error in /sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation Aborted
The same error occurs every time via both flashing methods. Any idea guys??
Thanks
PLEASE FLASH ON YOUR WON RISK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY BE CAUSED TO YOUR PHONE
Finally
DO THE FOLLOWING AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK OR DAMAGE YOUR PHONE
Finally it's done. I did the following steps: (Obviously backup data first)
1. I Unlocked the bootloader *LOST ALL DATA AS EXPECTED*
2. Flashed Philz Recovery (You can install any other but this recovery will be lost once flashing official zip as a result making Official Stock ROM and Official Stock Recovery)
Did these above 2 steps using AndroidOne Tool Kit. There are thorough instructions and warning to do so.
3. Downloaded the official update file from here. Only LMY47O file. Copied it on an External SD card
4. Go to Philz recovery, Select Wipe and then Clean to Install ROM (Preferably without inserting the SD Card).
5. Now insert the SD card, wait for a minute for the recovery to recognize your card and then select, Install Zip and then select from SD Card. Select your zip files, confirm installation.. Reboot once done
6. Once done, you will have a brand new OS. Enter all the information. and you will get the next two updates OTA and get installed just fine

Hi nexi4droid, greetings of the day.
A few points:
1. I have NOT copied this stuff from anywhere. I have written it myself. However it is but OBVIOUS that the instructions are very similar to other present ALL OVER THE WEB as that is how it is done.
2. Also, as you must have seen, I have given links to official pages of toolkits or OTA captures from where I have taken stuff. If I wanted to "just Copy-Paste", I would not have done so. I am well aware of how much efforts you developers take to bring us custom ROMS and special tools. So, No I am not the type of guy that steals or copies other people's work
3. I went through the link you have given and I could not find identical instructions anywhere on that beautifully blog. But then again, as I said in the first point. That is how it is done so you will find similar instructions all over the web.
4. And finally, My post is OLDER!! than your http://dileepworld.blogspot.in/2015/08/solution-for-canvas-a1-getting-back-ota.html So if anything, I should be blaming you, not me. But I wont as it does not make any sense. Everyone reads things from different places and tries various things the find on the web and then finally may post what worked for them. I did the same in my words taking part instructions from 1cefire's post and the AndroidOne Toolkit (Links in the OP).
I hope I have cleared my self and have no intention to offend you. Have a great day
