I have good news for you.. We will speak in hangouts tomorrow late here already (0.19am)

First great work, looks, feels great. I had a bit of strange item, I was unable to see any folders on my SD, I can access my ext SD with no issues but was not able to see anything on my main/inter SD, via the ROM.
So when I was trying to restore app via Tibu couldn't find the Tibu folder, it just was looking and looking. I installed my explorer pro app, and was trying to see if I can access the inter SD, yes I was able to, but I was empty. Which is strange, because all the folders were there, but not visibly. First time this has happened for me on any ROM. I am on the Firmware Required: 4.16.401.9 and have all the requirements needed to run this ROM. Just a note, but again looks and feels great.
Not sure of the strange no visibly of the inter SD....

I always format my internal storage when flashing a new ROM so everything is good on my end. One thing that I would like to see is the android L signal bar to match the Wi-Fi icon.
Sweet ROM though!!!

Really love the direction this ROM is going in! Here is some MUST HAVES that will push the ROM to the Top!
.1 AOSP Dial (option) in Skydragon sense ROM.
If you can add this in Aroma like they do I feel what already is an really awesome ROM would be my absolute

I never format, my internal, with a new ROM. That is why when I restore my apps, my "stuff" is there. Every so often I'll format my internal to clear out old files, which I actually just did yesterday. Although I have all back up on my ext SD.
Again, I've never seen this....but really like the feel and look of the ROM. Thanks.
Judging the unjustly via my M8....

Bug Tracker
-Sim Locked Message is still random
-Setup SimLock via security settings has been dissabled (not a bug....I did this on purpose. Just wanted to list it here)
-ART is broken.... This is common with all kikat build based on a stock build with any modification to any jar file. There are many devs working on figuring out a fix.
-There is an activate message at the very beginning of the setup..... You can ignore it completely. It has nothing to do with your model and therefore will fail every time.... So just bypass it, it will have no effect on data or service.
Flashing instructions
1) You MUST have the latest TWRP recovery
2) Reboot to Recovery
3) Wipe at minimum
Dalvik Cache
Cache
Data
System
I would also recommend making a back-up of your current sd-card and wiping Internal Storage

-Little fixes throughout the build
KitKat Build V6.0.1
-New APM (added flashlight and screen record)
-New screen recording app, full 1080 plus sound (thanks CM team)

-Removed DND from heads up (just until I find a fix)
-Hardcoded apn's in the framework-res (handles hand off better)
-Im sure theres a ton more I cant recall atm

-Fixed the hot reboot option in the APM
-Removed chrome and lib..... Between the app and lib it was over 60mb!!! Crazy

Thank you Slim !!!
I tried to download it via imperium ota update, but it wasn't possible. Downloading now via laptop.
I couldn't see anything about the full transparent waether widget - is that possible with the script of 4.3 version?
Very nice rom but the only thing is that there aren't any toggles for ultra power saving mode and toolbox if you can inplement those it will be very good!
EDIT: I found this on xda very nice if you can inplement (with toggles) also.

Very nice so far, especially for a first version. Runs very smooth with an acceptable battery life.
Just had to change the Kernel to Boeffla cause Stock became a little too hot now and then. And had to redownload and re-install/update AdAway which stuck at applying new host files.
@slim80 : any mirror ?
mega is blocked by our ISP..
slim80 hi, your rom is fast and smoth, the best rom kk I've tried, to be the v1 version is a very good rom, I expect prompt updates GOOD LUCK
Imperium has always been one of my favourite roms, and I've used imperium v13.6 for the longest amount of time. And right now I'm feeling even more pumped up to see imperium rom based on kitkat thank you so much for this rom slim80, you are the man. ??
The only bug I've faced (not anything serious) is that the language sometimes goes back to Italian on its own after a phone reboot. I do not know what exactly causes this, but hope you can take a look. Cheers mate and thanks a lot.
Actually I'm back on JB again.
I had FC with opening contacts and use of call app.
Anyone here with same experiences?
Furthermore, if the phone is closed and get call, the windows was black, hence impossible to pick the call.Looking forward about any improvements, Slim.

I've been using it for over 2-3 days and didn't come across the issues you mentioned. You can try a different kernel. I am using thoth kernel and getting very good stabilty. Didn't have an app FC yet ?
Hadn't the problems with closing apps and problems mentioned above?
@slim80 if you want a ROMHut developer account (free, no storage limits, allowed by XDA) register an account there and PM me, I'll set you up

Done. if anyone else needs the link, just pm me, don't post here. Let's keep the thread clean. I don't know if I'm allowed to post the link directly here, so PMing is better.

06/26/2014
*use the updated flashable addons*
-Rebased everything I had going on in 4.4.3 into 4.4.4, this was a royal pain but it had to be done, I've smashed this project yet again with 4 straight hours of development, helps when you're organized and ready for surprises like this, No features are missing from 4.4.3 and the addons received an update too, I need a beer now. phew

this will help battery life a great deal :) as you can see here, it's well tested by the guys at CM, they have been working on perfecting autobrightness for well over a month now for this device, I'm very happy with the results of these changes
special thanks to @hawkerpaul for pointing this out to me in the CM repo

06/06/2014
-"Carrier Settings" in settings removed, this appeared when I world unlocked the dialer for you folks, it's gone now because it FC'd and we are not suppose to have it
-Samsung missed a string in the ringtone/notification selection array, Default Ringtone should be "None", this is now fixed
Note: Samsung watchON and other IR apps are not working in 4.4.3, however the IR functions fine with smart IR remote for me so the IR is not actually broken, you just need updated apps
Dirty flash is acceptable, small update
06/05/2014
-WiFi DHCP fixed
-Teleservice unlocked (We can now change to all available network modes)
-Added CM filemanager by ktoonsez request for quick phone setup
-CRT disabled in favor of the fade effect, much nicer on the eyes and better on battery life
-Updated KT kernel, Nothing much here, just 4.4.3 ramdisk stuff
-Don't expect a million updates like 4.4.2, I was well prepared for 4.4.3 and all my features/fixes from 4.4.2 are in this build
06/04/2014
-Rebased everything below on 4.4.3, I was prepared for this one so it's all here in the first build ;) (Except dialer mods/theme)
-7 hours straight on this tonight, RAWR!!!
-ermm insert random stuff here because the changelog is to small
-more stuff
-even more stuff
-enjoy!
Note: If i9505 devices still reboot on the stock kernel I provide with this ROM, Don't worry ktoonsez already has the fix along with the other kernel developers, their current versions will actually boot this ROM at this time
05/19/2014
-Contacts clear field image is now visible, was black on black
-Updated the official Google Camera and binary's into the system
-Menu will no longer unlock the phone from the lock screen if no password is set
-Small framework edit, cleaned up some code regarding the volume panel, nothing you will notice
-Updated build.prop
-Updated kernel (I've heard VERY good feedback on this release)
-Removed CM weather widget and made it an optional flash (apparently creates wakelocks for ppl who don't use it?)
-Everything up to date on a clean flash, no market updates required :)
*No more releases, all necessary changes are documented and I cannot wait until 4.4.3 so I can have you guys a ROM
asap*
04/08/2014
-Deodexed this ROM and kept it fully compatible with ART (Believe it or not this fixes some strange issues for me, I think my odex script might break some things? all has been well for me now and I'm not seeing random SystemUI slowdown)
-deleted old google search libs and some koreanime lib, oh and libpinyin is gone too because they are useless (since I've removed their native apps they just sat dormant in the lib folder wasting system space)
-Updated the build.prop
-Updated GoogleTTS and Keyboard again
-Updated kernel (battery drain is gone)
-Use new optional zips in the OP. most of them saw an update so just use new ones and don't flash the old

03/24/2014
*DarkUI and Battery icon optional zips got a update this build, if you use these features please use the latest optional zip*
-Framework-res auto brightness values adjusted, I made the screen a bit brighter without losing much battery power, in fact you won't even notice. I just wanted to bump it up 5 values so we can show off how gorgeous this 1080p AMOLED really is
-Redid contacts, I spent a great deal of time on this and I really think its a much better design then the last invert, Kryten and I talked about it but never did anything about it, I poured in a few hours the other night and came up with something I think looks gorgeous
-SystemUI will now display H+ in the status bar and quicksettings as opposed to just H
-Removed 2 useless build.prop tweaks that remained dormant and do nothing at all on 4.4.2, (they worked on 4.3)
-Updated Gravitybox to 3.0
-Updated kernel
-now for the bad news, I'm having family issues and need to move back home to support my parents, My mom and dad have hit hard times and I can't see them suffer, My activity on these forums will dwindle a bit since I will need to pound the pavement and make as much money as possible to support my folks so I kindly ask that the community helps each other out with any questions and concerns that may arise in the thread

-Reverted MMS back to inverted due broken widget, ill bring back the multi theme MMS.apk later
-Added stock themed MMS as an optional flash
-reverted opensource superuser back to chainfire SuperSU
-to many people having issues on the CM SuperSU and I don't want anymore headaches, this one
proved to work for many months
-I'm taking a vacation, this is about as stable as it gets for the S4
-Build.prop updated
*USE THE UPDATED MODS IN THE OP*

02/27/2014
-Autobrightness values updated. These are MUCH better indoors, the minimum brightness is now down to 15 from CM's native 20
and the brightness with a lux value of 150 and lower will now be 40 out of a possible 255 (max brightness), Autobrightness will
now do what the feature is supposed to do, save battery
-Added Opensource SU and removed chainfire SU
-- this fixes the "fix root" nag in recovery
-- It's faster debug (ALOT faster)
-- It looks cooler
-- It's integrated right into settings (settings>superuser)
-Enabled battery % for ART users and made sure its clear to read at sub 50%
-Updated MMS from source, it's now white but can be toggled to be inverted via settings
-Updated Google Services Framework
-Build.prop updated
-updated kernel to kt 02/24/2014

*Use the updated DarkUI in the optional section if you use this feature*
02/18/2014
-Unlocked the dialer, we now have a world phone (you will still need to sim unlock if your provider locks it, however this helps travelers)
-Unlocked every network mode available for our modem, (Settings - More - Mobile networks - Preferred network)
-Enabled in call noise suppression (no idea why they didn't include this)
-Disabled CSP from the dialer, we now have full control over the phone and what networks we can choose (might not affect your carrier but this is useful for traveling, trust me)
-Tweaked my indoor auto brightness values, still using too much juice in medium/high indoor light, this is much better
-Enabled app ops in Settings > Security, Take total control of the permissions apps are granted when you install them from google play, VERY useful if you are concerned about privacy or you just don't want some misc app seeing your SMS's or having network permissions
-Added CM file manager to help users setup the ROM faster, This is actually a very nice app with lots of options and it works on ART. it's TINY too!
-Removed the buggy/useless/unsecure/lame/stupid face lock feature
-Updated Gravity box
-Updated build.pop
*DO NOT FLASH ANY MODS UNTIL I UPDATE THEM*
*Stock edition had very low downloads, I have discontinued that build, all you have to do now is uninstall xposed and its modules like any other app
02/08/2014B
-Flash this if you are on my previous release from today (no need to install the full build, this change is very small, the main build is updated for new users to the ROM however :) )
-Fixed date picker in contacts
-Enjoy
02/08/2014
*users on 02/06/2014 can flash this, (wipe caches and flash in recovery), no need to update the full ROM*
-Improved CM Autobrightness
-Updated SuperSU
-Updated build.prop
-Use updated DarkUI, disable S-VIEW and Disable S-view + DarkUI zips
-Enjoy!!!
02/06/2014
*Recommend a full wipe, many changes have been implemented
-Updated Kernel
-Fixed home button lag
-Disabled double tap for recents menu
-recents is now back to S4 standard of long press home
-Disabled Samsung Autobrightness (horrible)
-Enabled Stock Autobrightness with CM Autobrightness values (this took some research but I pulled it off without breaking ART) - This will result in massive battery savings
-Gravity box should now be able to control auto brightness values
-Removed Google search from system/priv-app for 2 reasons, 1) its out of date and 2) I actually prefer it as a user app, makes it easier to hibernate with greenify for non-premium users
-Removed Google earth libs, hangouts and chrome libs out of the system/lib folder
-the ROM is very light now, comes in at less then 300mb
-Updated Gravitybox
-Updated build.prop
-This is the most polished google edition available. I proudly support all 3 variants of the Galaxy S4 and I hope the international community appreciates this hard work ;)
*DO NOT FLASH DARK UI ZIP OR THE DISABLE S-VOICE ZIP, USE THE UPDATED ZIPS AS THE OLD ONES ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH SOME CHANGES I MADE*

Great news!!!! this rom is the best!!!
Been running this since the 12/17 build. Fast and great battery life!
First I install Nova launcher.
I use system tuner to delete stock launcher, turn off Google now.
That's my basic setup getting great battery life and performance.
I attached my Black Theme for Nova Launcher.
No need to flash Gapps huh....bout to try it out

I posted an eri.xml file here a few days ago http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57485719
put in /data folder and that overwrites framework-res.apk.

How do you enable dark contacts and dialer?
This is the proper framework-res.apk fix so the Sprint carrier label shows correctly.
Also here is a modified build.prop for Sprint devices so the device model show up correctly among other things. However, It has the OTA stuff removed that Dan put in. I was planning on building my own variant of the ROM until this showed up
With that said don't replace you build.prop with this one.
Could be useful for you Dan.

Anyways running the new build and it is perfect no RR or lags. Haven't tested Bluetooth but this is a sweet ROM guys. Sprint users should really appreciate this ROM  since we don't get much love anymore.

GPS works fine here. You might want to flash a stock rom and fix it.
Interesting, how does that fix it? What's this touchwiz fix I've heard about as well?

FAQ
Q.)
Does Sense 6 Toolbox work on this rom?
It works on other Sense 7 ports.
A.)
No it does not, this is Sense 7, not Sense 6 and I do not plan on downgrading parts of the port to make that work here.
Besides, we use Xtended Settings module here, which has much more to offer then the Toolbox.

If you get stuck at HTC Logo(splash screen) then use the power button to hard restart the device, may even take 2 times of doing this.
For me, I didn't have any issues with this, but I use default options. YMMV
It's due to the kernel configurations, some options will require this to get it started up.
If that doesn't work for you, then rewipe, reflash and choose stock kernel option.
I selected stock kernel first time around, will give it another go.

All I can do is suggest what works on my Verizon variant.
I don't suggest using latest Official Twrp, it has issues.
Search for twrp for your variant, from MdMower.
His mounts by-name partitions properly and so does my custom twrp for Verizon.
His should work for your variant, or else try a 2.7 version, as 2.8 is when the issues seem to arise with by-name mounting.
If it doesn't properly mount, then it doesn't properly install and of course won't boot as a result.
I tried to flash with TWRP 2.7.1.2 MdMower for Sprint and 2.8.3.0 but still logo stuck
Thank you!

It works with a properly compiled recovery.
I'm sorry that you guys don't have one that properly mounts using by-name mounting.
But whoever is compiling Twrp for m7 needs to get with the program.
Even the stock fstab in ramdisk is using by-name format.
The rom works fine, it's your recovery that is the problem.
I can't post a multi-carrier rom using block naming (shouldn't have to) and I won't anyways as all recoveries should be updated to properly mount using by-name.
I make my own for Verizon, due to the Official being crappy and not supporting it still...
Again, you MUST have a recovery that mounts the by-name partitions properly or else it fails to mount and does not install any partition, not system, not data, not boot...
I can't believe what a nightmare TWRP has become.
Please try using 2.7.1.2 from MdMower for Sprint.
Reflashing with the same recovery over and over which doesn't mount properly is never going to work, no matter how many times you try and no matter how many times you reboot.
What a pain to think I must make proper recoveries for all m7 variants, just to share a rom.
Not sure I am feeling like spending that much more energy on it to be honest.

This is a custom Touchwiz Lollipop ROM with my tweaks and mods, built from stock OD2 for the L720. It is deodexed, rooted, and deknoxed. Please no feature requests as they will be ignored, everything in Lollipop is different so most old methods no longer work and new ones have to be discovered. Please be patient. Check post #3 for the most recent mods.

Hi Ryan. Thanks for continuing to monitor this thread. Some of us continue to utilize your excellent ROM for the s4. I recently upgraded to v10.9 bare bones (I was still using v10.8 full version). Can I flash the v11.0 update on top of the bare bones version?

Yes definitely
I extracted the 3 files and put them in v11.0, set permissions and now have the boot/shutdown animations I wanted. Thank you much, and I also want to thank you for monitoring this old thread. I have now put this great rom onto 2 sph-l720, and 1 l720t phones. All working great.

Yes. All of it except stock recovery, including bootloader. If you wait a minute I will finish writing the instructions.
Ok thx. Unless I missed firmware only update is best way to get full firmware to first flash muniz rom then yours? Only way I see to get bootloader.

I'm on MDC bootloader, NG2 modem-baseband, TWRP recovery, and your 4.4.2 Wicked rom with stock kernel.
Since there is no full firmware only update to OD2 only way I can see to get OD2 bootloader plus other needed items is to flash/odin muniz/other roms with these included.

Yes, that is what is needed, Odin full OD2 tar. I haven't tested on anything else... if you would like to be the guinea pig, make a backup and flash away. I don't know what will happen as I am on OD2 everything.
Thanks for sharing. Is it for L720, L720T, or both?

I was told there was no wifi on the L720T, so I guess try it if you want. I'll have to look into compatibility later, most likely we need a custom kernel to bridge the gap.

Could it be due to it's based on the OD2 for L720, rather than L720T?

Well yes. Like I said I'll have to look into the differences once you guys get a deodexed version.
how to
I know this was already asked but I'm still confused. I have the sph-l720 ng2. I'm running your current version on 4.4.2. Can I just flash the 5.0 version in recovery or do I need to do something else?
I'm not extremely knowledgeable about flashing however I really do enjoy your wicked roms

It is a possibility, hence why I don't recommend it. I've always found it better to be safe than sorry. That is why my instructions match what I did because I know that way is safe.
