[HOW TO] Remove chinese from stock LockScreen - Honor 6, 6x Themes and Apps

We have post at least 2 ways before to remove chinese from lock screen, but this is the easiest way to do and also keep stock photos.
Chinese in lockscreen is the "Title" and "Subject" of photo, so we have just to delete "Title" and "Subject" to remove chinese.
Photos of lockscreen are saved in "MagazineUnlock" folder in internal memory.
1. Subscribe to all Magazines you want and then check for updates.
2. Connect your phone on your PC and copy "MagazineUnlock" folder to your PC.
3. Select all images and then left click on one of them.
4. "Properties" > "Details" and delete "(multiply value)" on "Title" and "Subject".
5. "Apply" > "OK" copy "MagazineUnlock" back to phone, disconnect your phone, done.

Open file explorer, go to My Device, then go to windows>start menu>programs, and delete it from here. the 'program files' is a different area.
Note: using the remove programs (settings > system > remove programs) option would have probably done this all for you.

Thanx. I jus removed it through the 1st option u mentioned.
And i did actually use the remove programs option 1st but the icon still remained
This is common when you rearrange your start menu... since the start menu .ink file is not in it's original location.. the remove program option won't take out the link

Request for Digital Clock

Does anyone have a way to change the analog clock to digital?
Thanks
solution
Hi.! Yes,there is a possibility for this...firstly, you must download the :"Manila 2D customizer" from a link reported in the "hacking & developement" section of this site (see on top of the main page), and install it on the Opal..after, also in this forum's section, you can find a lot of Skins..Clocks, icons etc...so, when you have find and choose it, download the.zip file that you want, and copy it in the "theme" folder (collocated where there is installed the application; you will find a folder with this name) and after, open this application. secondly you should make a backup of the original theme installed by HTC (this application allow you to do this action. Check the last tab) in case you want return back of the original status..after that, you can go on the step 3: return on the "Theme" section, select the name of file that you have copied and click on "Apply theme" and wait...during the installation the program will ask you if you don't want make the changing also for Weather tab and another point..don't make a tick on this two point, and press continue...finally the TouchFlo will restart automatically, and this procedure permise you to change the skins without soft reset the PDA!
In addiction to this operation, you can change a lot of other parameters as: colors & fonts of tabs, browser internet, the parameters of the main page (ex. if you don't want the analog clock, on the digital clock) etcc...
good luck.!!
if you have problems, contact me
Thank you for your help
Thank you very much for the detailed instructions. Will try it out over the weekend.
It "almost" Worked. Thanks for detailed instructions.
However, The digital and analog clocks both appear. If I disable the analog clock, the layout of the digital clock is totally disturbed and its useless.
any idea why?
instructions
yes i've an idea...have you downloaded the Van_de_bosh clock.? if yes, firstly you should modify manually the HTChomesetting.xml in the Windows folder of Opal..(so connect it on the PC, see and click on top bar of the PC folder Utilties -> folder option-> select the Visualization tab and after click on "show folder's and hide's folders", then apply). secondly enter in the Windows folder in PDA (wait if is slowly the loading, don't worry the PC can appear freeze for a few second, but don't close the folder)..after serch the "HTChomesetting.xml" and copy it on the desktop..So open the .zip and here you probabily find a .txt file. open it. after you will see some strings that you will copy into the file on desktop..when you have finish all steps, take this "HTChomesetting.xml" and replice the old file into the .zip..after try to install this skin package on PDA i know, is quite difficult but , when you have understand the procedure all become simply
If you have problems contact me
Thanks for the reply. However, I just found an updated version of M2DC which "fixed" the bug with digital clock placement. I tried it, and yes, it works like a charm

contacts hardcopy

How can i take a printout of the contacts? i wanted to keep a hardcopy of all my contacts..
thanks.
I don't want to look too much into it, but I would sync my phone in outlook and google the question print contacts list in outlook. I am sure you will come up with something.
Here's a mechanism that is sure to work.
Requirements
1. You will need "pimbackup" for your Windows Mobile device.
2. You will need M$ Excel for your desktop/laptop (assuming it is running Windows).
Steps
1. Use pimbackup to back up all your contacts to a file on your storage card. Remember to TURN OFF "Binary Backup" as you go through the wizard.
2. Once the operation completes, copy the ".PIB" file that it generates in the location that you chose to your desktop/laptop.
3. On your desktop/laptop, rename the file to ".ZIP". Extract the file using WinZip or WinRAR or whatever have you.
4. Inside the ZIP, you will find a file named something like contacts_*.CSC. Rename this file to ".CSV".
5. Now start Excel (DO NOT double click the ".CSV" file to start Excel). In Excel, choose File->Open and point it to the ".CSV" file you got from Step 4.
6. A Wizard will start. Tell the Wizard that the file you are opening is "Delimited", and the Delimiter is a ";" (Semicolon). You can play with the other options but the ones I have mentioned are necessary.
7. RESULT: You will now have an excel sheet that contains rows (one for each contact) spread across columns (a column for Name, another for Number, and so on). Choose the rows/columns you want to print and you're done!
Enjoy!
Thanks a lot. I tried it and it works like a charm.
Thanks Ascii for your detailed procedure.
Keep up the good work.

LCARS Conversion Kit [UPGRADED 12-20-2011]

This Conversion Kit is designed to convert your device's overall look to that of a PADD, or LCARS interface device from the Star Trek universe.
OS: WM5/6
Difficulty: Moderate
Disclaimer: With the exception of the skin for TCPMP, the DockWare image series, the Today Wallpapers, and the Color Scheme files, all programs, flash movies, and skins in this kit are the property of their respective owners, and were acquired as freeware. However the versions of those skins in this kit have been modified, sometimes extensively, by myself, so that they may better integrate with the overall conversion scheme.
Instructions:
Step 0:Transfer the "LCARS.ttf" font from the main Kit directory to the "Fonts" folder on your device
Step 1: Install Wisbar Advance (The latest Version, although this setup was deigned for WA2...), or if you already have Wisbar Advance, place the folder "WA2 LCARS" into the appropriate diectory. (You may rename it as needed) There is also an animation for your wait cursor stored in the "LCARS WaitCursor" directory (You won't need the animation if you're using WA2... To get a unique wait animation, install the cab file "MWC2.2" instead from the "Programs" directory, and load the entire folder "MajUan I" into the program's directory on your device (It should be: "Program Files>MWC2").
Step 2: Install the program "Digital Today Screen Clock" (After installing, make sure it is the item at the TOP of your today screen, and that it is the only clock enabled) found in the "Programs" Directory of this Kit, and Load the Today Screen Wallpaper. After installing the clock, Go to Start>Settings>Personal>Today, and select the option to set a picture as the desktop background (Pick any .png image, you'll have to enter the filename manually, including extension, although you can navigate to the folder just fine... we'll be adjusting it in a moment) Once the desktop has changed, drop the contents of the folder "LCARS Today Wallpaper" DIRECTLY into the "Windows" directory. Don't worry if you can't see anything, it'll show up once you reset.
Step 3: Install the Program "UITweaker" from the "Programs" folder in the Kit. Once it's installed, Place the contents of the folder "LCARS Color Schemes" into a directory you can easily remember, and execute the program. Once open, Launch the subprogram "TdyScheme Changer" and then select the button "Windows Mobile 5.0 and Above" Set the BaseHue to "280" and select OK, now select the "Tools" button, then select "Import". A file exploring dialog will appear. Navigate to the folder you placed the two files from the "LCARS Color Schemes" directory, and select the .scheme file "LCARS" (It should be the only thing visible). After applying the scheme, navigate back to the launcher panel, and launch the subprogram "SysColor Changer". Select Tools>Import, you should be in the same file explorer dialog as before, and there should be only one .sys file visible "LCARS" Select it. (If not, navigate to it as before) Once the color scheme is imported, a dialog box will prompt ypu to reset, do so.
Step 4: Install DockWare. Once you have done so, remove all the image files from the DockWare directory, and insert the contents of the folder "DockWare LCARS Series". Set theDockWare options as follows: Set Transitions to "on" set the display for "Digital Clock, no Calendar", and set the color to Red-255, Green-155, Blue-5. You can set the start delay to whatever you wish.
Step 5: Install PsShutXP. Place the folder "PsShutXP" where you want on your device, and place the contents of the directory "PsShutXP" into it. Now, place a shortcut to "PsShutXP_nosc.exe" in your Start Menu.
Step 6: Install the skins for WMP, Pocket Player, and TCPMP. Place the folder "WMP LCARS" into the directory "Program Files/Windows Media Player/Skins" Rename as neded. Place the file "Pocket Player LCARS.psz" into the Directory "Program Files/Pocket Player" (If you have Pocket Player installed) Rename as needed. Place the folder "TCPMP LCARS" into whatever folder you have selected for storing your TCPMP Skins. Rename as needed. (You will need to have a version of TCPMP that supports skinning, You can download one Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=815789
Step 7: In the directory "Flash Movies" in the Kit, there are several LCARS Flash movies you can bind to your hardware buttons to round out your LCARS experience.
Step 8: In the directory "Alerts" are two audio files which you may use as alarms for a low battery event.
Setup Complete.
(UPDATED: 12-20-2011 CHANGES: Fixed minor code for WMP and TCPMP skins, minor graphics fixes on main skin)

Dual Messenger and Whatsapp question

Hi,
For your information, I had two old WhatsApp accounts on two different old phones. What I want to accomplish is
combining both WA accounts into one phone (the new Galaxy Note 8).
I already installed and restored all the messages and media files from first WA account perfectly.
However, I got problem for the second WA account. I successfully installed the second WA app using the Dual Messenger
feature. When I started to activating the second WA account, WhatsApp failed to find my backup on my Google Drive account.
I could get my second WA account running, but I could not restore the messages and media files.
Could someone help me solving this problem? I tried to manually put the WA backup file into second WA app. Unfortunately, I
do not know where Samsung put the sandboxed WA apps data folder.
Regards,
Harimin.
Login in your another account from Google, restore your messages, and, return to your account base.
Were you, or anyone who had the same problem, able to figure out a solution to this problem?
I have the same problem. When i activate the second account, the backup is found but cannot be uploaded.
Please help
I have the same problem if i use parallel space or other apps
Hi,

If i use dual messenger - whatsapp it restores a strange db. It said i can't restore the chats and if i open then the second whatsapp i see 2 chats very old.
So which database is dual messenger - whatsapp restoring?
I made a backup off whastapp on my old (work) mobile to both google account.
I installed wa on my new phone under both google account with still it restores a database from where?
Someone know the answer?
Bianca
