I installed this ROM With PA Gapps(Google stock) and also tried it with other packages ( gapps-config.txt > Pico / micro , Specific apps installs ). I have no problems with Gapps for some reason that I don't know why!
Can you flash this ROM without Kernel I have given, and check WiFi Hotspot?

[4.1.2][HUB] 7 ROMS! :D [Re-Launch]

Before any of you are all like " why not just update the original thread?" or " Whats the point of opening a different thread, fishing for thanks" THE Reason is that now WiFi is fixed there will be other Roms being added, and i don't want all the talk about WiFi being fixed or studies or when it's being updated, i wanted a fresh slate! So lay off
Why open a separate thread for each ROM with separate Locations to hunt down?! This hub will be your one stop shop for some of the Roms that have been ported from other Devices for the Desire C by me Each Rom shall consist of a brief description, Bugs list, and a download link! The download link will bring to a folder which shall consist of 3 different files, The first of which, shall be the Rom, the second will be a readme file explaining the Features the ROM has to offer to you at this present moment in time. The third shall be a folder of screenshots in which you will be able to browse before deciding which ROM is right for you
Link to Screenies and readme file is: Here
UNIVERSAL NOTICES:
ALL ROMS ARE INDEED ANDROID 4.1.2, Even thou Build prop may say like 5.0.0, it's a joke as i was experimenting!!

WiFi should be working in each ROM, let me know if not!!
Each ROM is fully compatible with me4488's NOPE Kernel and Nikhils Promethues! so go thank them as well!!
Each Rom Requires the Exact same Package of Gapps which can be found here:

About ART
Yeah, I know, this is why you want KitKat. Anyway, it might work, it might not. This is how I could get it working:
[a] Format /system;
Apply this zip;
[c] Apply pa_gapps;
[d] Reboot and test;
[e] Change runtime to libart.so and reboot into recovery;
[f] Format /cache;
[g] Clear dalvik-cache;
[h] Reboot and wait 40 minutes for it to compile everything;

It's very light on extra features for now, most are still in the process of being ported from JB version.

Got further this time.. I checked all the settings, and they seem to work.. and had some issue with one of my apps and the superuser, so I downloaded SuperSu and it "tried to update binaries" but the phone bootlooped..?? I will try again and see if it happens again..
*Edit*
SuperSu failed to update binaries for me, but I just flashed it instead, and all is well.. I have rebooted a couple times to see if it'll loop.. So far so good, but this doesn't mean i don't want more updates..

1. Be sure you are on latest CWM or TWRP recovery!!!!!!
2. Not all gapps packages right now are nice working. You can try others but at least I know that the one linked here is working. If you have other gapps which are working you can link it here of course
3. Full wipe when coming from any 4.4 rom (as well format system manually please)

Reporting Bugs
When you submit a bug you want to make sure that nothing from your side is causing it. Otherwise your developer might be hunting a bug which doesn't really exist.
The best way to achieve this is by doing the following.
1. Make a nandroid backup.
2. Perform a full wipe (factory reset + wipe /system)
Now we have two different ways depending on what kind of problem you're having.
3a. When you're having a problem with a ROM function, flash just the ROM without GAPPS etc. and boot back into the system. You will boot directly onto the homescreen.
3b. When you're having a problem with a 3rd party app in combination with our ROM then flash the ROM and GAPPS.
Boot now back into the system. You will boot to the setup wizard.
Log in to your Google account but make sure that you untick "Restore from my Google Account to this phone/tablet".
Finish the setup and open the playstore and download only the app you're having problems with.
4. Start a logcat recording and reproduce the bug (if possible more than once) while taking the logcat. If you don't know how to get a logcat read this tutorial or this.
5. Post the logcat in a txt file (this is important because you otherwise clog up the threads with your log) in the correct thread.
Please also write detailed description how we can reproduce the bug.
6. Restore your backup from point 1 and wait for a fix (don't ask for ETAs).

Introduction
This is ROM is built from Omni sources, but I cherry-picked (added manually) HALO from paranoid sources. This is my first ROM that I've every built so don't expect it to work perfectly.
Please read the FAQ and Known Issues sections before complaining about anything. DO NOT ask for ETAs (I will smite you if you do)

Known Issues
Active Display causes SystemUI FC. DO NOT activate it or you will have to wipe data
Halo disappears from the screen completely when hidden (There is an option to disable that, but not in this build. Working on it)
Halo is a bit buggy when rotating the screen. Just disable and enable it from the notification drawer.
Multiwindow is still quite buggy, but that's not my fault. Blame team Omni for not finishing it

Congrats on your great work @paxy97
Just want to check how's the battery life on your home-version. I'm using walter79's and very happy with stability and battery.
You mention also in the bugs section that Active Display crashes?? I'm having no issues at the moment, and I really like this feature.
Any clue why it doesn't work on yours? If this is the case, not sure if I should change or maybe wait a bit.
Also, how is it with the Bluetooth issue? Still ongoing?
Anyway, I thank you for the hard work and the effort you are putting into this... keep it up.
:good:

Hm strange, when I flashed this ROM and enabled active display systemUI started crashing and I could do anything except boot to recovery and wipe data :/. Also while I was fixing some issues in the code I noticed that a lot of them came from active display conflicts.
I don't know about bluetooth, but I assume it's still bugged since my build is pretty much omni from source. I haven't changed anything regarding bluetooth.
I will ... until july 22nd, because I'm going on vacation for 3 weeks
For old cm themes. there are 9 commits: https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/2790/ #mGerrit
https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/q/status:abandoned,n,z
I'm sorry to say that I probably will not be able to make a CM version, because CM code is too different from Paranoid and I get too many errors that can only be solved by rewriting most of the statusbar and notificationService code (which I have neither the time, not the knowlege for). Sorry again, going back to dirty unicorn porting
Don't sweat over it, I assure you your efforts are highly appreciated.
Thank you for your work and please, keep it up!

I am , my pc has been running 48h straight downloading and building. Now I downloading dirty unicorn sources again, because I messed up the last ones. Hopefully I'll at least get that to build. Should not be too difficult though. It's based on pure omni, so I'll just add our device tree from omni's github and use walter personal github for the kernel, which is amazing btw . So hopefully in about 15h you'll have a build if it runs without any errors
New build coming coming soon (today or tomorrow, depends if it builds and uploads before I go to sleep).
Features:
- walter's personal kernel sources (the ones he uses for homemade builds)
- Omni's multiwindow (it's EXTREMELY unstable. It's still under review on gerrit)
- Omni changes so far
* Theme manager is still giving me a lot of errors so sadly no build with it yet

Yeah, it's much better than active display. Not buggy and doesn't consume as much battery.
Damn it. I just got up, looked at my PC and realised that it failed to build because I'm out of HDD space -.-. I had 30gb free didn't expect it to use that much. Anyway uploading the build when I come home from school

[ROM]MoKee Open Source[Nightlies][Nougat][7.1.2][Z00A]

1. I am not a developer or a compiler
2. I have not any connection with Mokee team
3. I start this thread just because Mokee is a fine option for Zenfone and did not have a space on XDA
4. The purpose of this thread is to allow share of experiences between the users
5. Do not expect any differentiated help from me: i am not a developer or a compiler, i have not any connection with Mokee team.

MoKee Open Source is based on the Google AOSP. Source code are frequently updated to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion…
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application: http://www.mokeedev.com/en/developer-application, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server!

All Nougat roms for zenfone 2 are based in LOS and development of LOS dropped on our device so it's unlikely that we'll get oreo.
I flashed it last night. It worked great for me.
Especially, finally a smooth rom.
Aegis is the best for the battery as far.
Great work!
Thanks.

Actually, if use greenify before, it's simalar.
In the protector,
Leave the apps you always use (for me whatsapp and bluemail)
If you use another launcher, you should leave it too. Because in the time, some problems may occur. (Delay whatsapp notifications)
I also leave the launcher, whatsapp and blue mail for the other sections.
Mokee publishes update every day and sometimes they say "No changes, maybe we delayed commit"
Do you ever update the rom when it says that.
